I got it from amazon warehouse, was very good deal except is DEFECTIVE. The camcorder keep getting shut it off after more than 10 seconds of recording, and the lens optic appear to be out of place, i keep seeing black spot int he left side, unable. Amazons should do a basic inspection of function of unit before putting to sale.

Regular quality camcorder. Average quality pictures and video, but for the price it meets the expectations. Really good zoom, and it comes with an internal Memory card, reason by external SD cards are really not necessary but nice to transfering data to the computer. A tripod is absolutely necessary for using the zoom, otherwise video results in too much image instability

When this camcorder came in, at first I was nervous because everything looked so small. Unfortunately, I'm a person that doesn't always read the manual 1st. But after opening this product, I found mostly everything to be simple. Although I'm not a proffessional, it really served my purpose. However, you have to be careful to close the optical lens after every shooting.(It does'nt close automatically) The camera part works well even in dark settings, and the sound is amazingly, ( if that's a word) lol clean!

I bought this camera to record my kids playing sports and doing various other activities (i.e. things in motion). I'm finding that it has good quality when filming things that are pretty much stationary and require no or very, very slow panning, but whenever you need to pan to record anything in motion the resulting video is a blurry mess. Some of the videos I have of my kids playing soccer make me nauseous to watch due to the horrible blur. I have tried all the various settings that I thought would help this but nothing fixes it. I have a Panasonic mini-DV camera from 2005 that does a MUCH better job of this, so much so that I'm probably going to switch back to it. Had high hopes for this camera, but I've come away very disappointed...

The camera is light-weight and takes HD video. It easily hooks-up through HDMI and USB.You can also take still photos separately, or while in the process of recording video. Also has facial recognition and a bunch of other advanced features I haven't explored.Satisfied.

I did not need a huge expensive HD camcorder and this one fits the bill just right for me. The video comes out great so far. I took it skiing with the family and the optical zoom is great for pulling the picture in tight. When zoomed all the way out it gives a wider angle to get everyone in the shot. It also has many features built in that I have not had time to explore yet. For the price I don't think you can beat it.

I have always used Sony with no problems. I wanted a light weight digital camcorder. This one takes still and video if I can find out how to use it. I have been to Best Buy and Walmart and neither of the answers worked. I still can't get it to video. I have a chip in the camera for my Pansonic TV purchased for that reason for a big picture of my videos. I am very frustrated after reading the instructional book three times and still doesn't make sense. Get someone off the street to try to operation items according to the instruction booklet. Nothing seems to follow through.

This little camcorder is small, compact and light weight. It is easy to use and to carry. I am very happy with it!

This is my first high-def camcorder and so far it has met all expectations. It is so light and takes great movies. Low light is not the best, but it handled all of our holiday functions with the kids with flying colors. I really like the dual memory options and the having flash memory means no drive noise complained about for other hard disk drive products. The price was extremely competetive as well.

If you have a Mac, you will need a converter in order to change the native .MTI files into something you can edit with Final Cut Pro or iMovie. The camera DOES have a iMovie mode but it drops the quality down to 720p.The best feature about this camera is the built-in "montage" that automatically makes a presentation of your videos and adds some music that ranges from classical to 80's car commercial pop style. It's actually pretty hilarious to watch since it makes some clips in slow motion, adds zoom where there wasn't any before, and adds quick cuts between different video clips which makes it seem like a music video.Overall, it's a great little camera that produces great quality video. Just make sure you are prepared on the computer side because that can be very frustrating if you are trying to edit the 1080i videos on a Mac.

I loved everything about this camera except the IMAGE QUALITY.No matter how high I set the quality level on this camera, the video ended up looking like it was shot through a dirty window.The best images were taken outdoors but even these had a the look you would get if you used a water-color plug-in in Photoshop;Muddled and lots of moving pixels. The image is just not crisp at all.In lower, indoor light settings (normal lighting), even with the camera light on, there is a dirty pattern that sits over the entire image.I compared the images shot with this camera to the exact same footage taken with an inexpensive Kodak, pocket video camera (that does not have a light) and there was a huge difference;The inexpensive Kodak LOOKED BETTER.Even the STILL images appeared dirty and muddy with that water-color-plug-in look.This camera had almost everything I was looking for; Internal memory, SD card slot, huge optical Zoom, perfect size, lots of nice control features. Easy menu!But where it matters most, this camera fell short.What a shame too. I really wanted this camera to be the one to use on my next vacation.

This camera records good pictures and video. However, I feel it is complicated to use. Especially transferring video/pictures to my pc and finally to a CD.

The product is not as good as I expected: the quality of the video is low and the price was too high for what I got. I would not recommend it to the others.

So be careful if you are expecting FullHD quality video on your LED screen. it will be 540p resolution on them. Although in theory the quality will be better on a CRT screen(Please see 1080i definition), I cannot actually find such a device to validate the claim.And also, do not expect it can catch fast moving object well.However, the price is good. I bought on $230. The lowest price so far is $210

The picture is great, smaller than the picture would lead you to believe. The 16GB of internal memory is great and I bought a 32 microsd card off amazon for more expansion. Very clear picture, LED light attached is very useful. Great price, for a great product. One side not, don't try to Pan very fast because the camera will give you a warning, overall doesn't affect product.

Bought this as a gift for my wife. She was pleased with it. It's user friendly and for the price I think it's decent. So far so good. It does seem to get warm after a while, not sure what's that's about. Picture quality is decent but in low light it suffers. Really small and compact and sleek looking.

Panasonic HDC - TM80k or should I call it TM55k with more zoom and memory....The product is similar to the discontinued model TM55k in many aspects. If someone is looking for good camera with good quality and lesser price I would recommend this....

Great HD camcorder. Easy touch screen menu w/ great video recording quality. Light weight camcorder that needs a little getting used to. Keeping camcorder steady will give you great video recording. Still pictures O.K. It is what it is- 3MP. Nevertheless good equipment. I have not had any issues loading up included software and making regular & HD dvd's.

Panasonic HDC TM80K is compact, light and, most importantly, records great HD videos and digital photos. It features an unbelievably clear night recording under very low light conditions, perfect daylight recording and fantastic shake-free zoom capabilities. The unit's functions are very easy to understand and to use. The transfer between the unit and my Mac Book Pro was seamless, using IMovie program.Prior to purchasing, I went to the closest Best Buy store and compared Panasonic HDC TM80K to its closest rivals (in the similar feature and price range), Sony and Cannon, and, by far, this model had more and better features, superior image quality, better portability and was better priced. It is also made in Japan.I am very happy with my purchase. I saved about $100 by going through Amazon.com.

This is a very good camcorder for the money. Has great movie quality and very durable would recmmond this to anyone currently using mine with green screen I purchased and again it works great.

Very nice and useful camcorder. Fantastic stabilization system, super sound recording.It is my 3-th camcorder and it is best. Quality of moves and sound are very good.

Got this from amazon about 3 weeks ago for $215.00, this is a nice camcorder i would highly recommend this product.

Unfortunately the Panasonic HDC SD10 (TM10) we bought a year prior and for $100 less (the predecessor to this model) was stolen so we ended up buying this thinking that it would only be slightly better. Instead we've learned that Panasonic has only removed features. While the lens is slightly better the software is much worse and scaled down (Even though it's a newer version of the same software) and navigation on the camera (ie: changing the settings and other stuff) is much worse. The picture (NOT VIDEO RECORDING) quality of this camera is absolutely horrible... much worse than the SD10 was (although that wasn't greate either)... Something you would find on a cheap $15 or $20 digital camera. The quality of the actual video recording is pretty good though and the smart zoom works well.
