Best Electric Toothbrush Ever!
I've been using an electric toothbrush for many years and I'm not talking about the drugstore cheapo versions (although I've tried those as well). I typically go for top of the line in almost anything I buy because I really believe you get what you pay for. With some things you can cut corners, but when it comes to my health or my teeth, that's not the time to make the cut.
The most I've spent on an electric toothbrush in the past was around $180 for the Sonicare Diamondclean. It lasted me for many years, so if you break down the price over years, it wasn't all that expensive on an annual basis. Besides, we have spent that much going out to dinner at a really nice restaurant (that's how I typically justify the price of more "costly" items)!
The Sonicare recently started acting up with it's brushing performance and the power button was getting hard to press, so I decided to replace it. I was satisfied with it's performance over the years, but wanted to try a round brush head this time and Oral B is the leader in that category.
There are so many options with Oral B so I had to do a lot of research, starting at the top, of course. I was skeptical about the hefty price tag for the IO9, so I didn't immediately opt for the best of the best. I read many reviews and watched several videos for the IO, Genius, and Pro lines before finally deciding to just bite the bullet and go for it!
The main feature I wanted with the IO9 that the others don't have is the 3D AI tracking. I have been getting really lazy with my brushing - walking around the house doing other things and really not paying attention to how effectively or how long I was brushing each area of my mouth. Yes, my Sonicare had a quadrant timer, but it didn't track how much time and effort was spent on all the zones. The IO9 tracks every surface of your teeth - inside, outside, chewing, left, right, front center and front bottom. It gives you a visual display on your phone as you're brushing so you know exactly when to move to the next area. It is taking me a little longer than normal - around 3 minutes (including tongue) to effectively brush everywhere, but that's okay, it's what I needed. I read some reviews and watched some videos that said the brush couldn't determine where it was in your mouth and I have not found that to be the case. My guess is that it partially learns your brushing habits to improve the tracking. I always brush in the same order, left to right, top to bottom, so it hasn't had any issues with accurately determining where the brush is in my mouth.
I also like the pressure sensor that turns red when you're brushing too hard or your chosen color when not brushing hard enough. I didn't realize I was brushing harder than I should until I bought this toothbrush. The tongue cleaning mode is also useful as it's set for 30 seconds. I wasn't brushing nearly 30 seconds before this toothbrush.
In summary, this is the best toothbrush I've ever used. Here are the pros and cons in my opinion:
Pros:
- Excellent, powerful cleaning backed by ADA approval
- 3D tracking of all tooth surfaces with the app for a thorough clean
- Tongue cleaning mode with set time
- Larger brush head covers more area
- Quiet
- Fast charging
- Sleek and attractive appearance and small footprint
- Magnetic base that charges fast
Cons:
- Price
- The brush head is a little large. I have a smaller mouth and it fits, but some might find it a little uncomfortable
- My biggest gripe is that two people can't use the app unless you either use the same cell phone or constantly pair and unpair the base with each of your phones
- The travel case only holds one brush and it doesn't use a USB charger like every other travel device

Best toothbrush I’ve ever owned!
I have owned various Sonicare and Oral-B electric toothbrushes, as well as many manual ones. This is by far the best toothbrush I have ever owned. The toothbrush has several modes that vary in intensity, a color LCD display that allows you to change settings and cheerfully greets you when you take it off the charging base, and a great battery life. I was recently on a trip overseas and didn’t charge it a single time; if you brush twice a day for two minutes each time, you will get over a week of battery life. The travel case is well designed and allows you to charge the toothbrush on the go while protecting it during your travels. Although I haven’t tried the Bluetooth and app features, it is a nice feature to have. It is also useful that the toothbrush displays elapsed time and vibrates every 30 seconds to remind you to switch sections of your mouth. I strongly recommend this toothbrush, it was worth every penny!

Way better than the cheaper models
Everything I read and heard from dentists and hygienists was that the iO series was not worth the money and was even labeled as gimmick. I have to tell you, This is by far the best electric toothbrush I have used. They best Oral-B model for sure. I find the "action" of the lower models to be extremely noxious to my sensations. This model is much more smooth and feel like I have a massager in my mouth and not a circular saw. It's made my brushing experience much much much more pleasurable. The app is cool, I'm not sure how accurate the mapping is but it does provide some feedback for coverage which I enjoy but honestly don't use that much. The battery life on this is also far superior to the other Oral-B models I've had. I was able to brush for two weeks without charging and without noticeable decrease in power. The other's I've had lose power after one brushing.

I like the 7 different cleaning settings
I have been brushing with an Oral-B toothbrush for at least 10 or so years. My "Pro" model which I seemed to have forever finally gave up the ghost (Stopped working). It maybe a bit pricey but I really like the Oral-B name & reputation and I decided to go all in on the top model, "iO". Solidly built & now not only the brush rotates but it seems to vibrate like a sonic toothbrush which seems to make it more efficient & gentler on the gums & mouth over all.

It's a great toothbrush
The pros - I space out when brushing and wind up wondering if I got everything. The tracking has really helped me make sure I'm not overbrushing and makes my teeth feel amazing. I used the Diamondclean for 10 years and loved it, but when it died, I went to manual for the last year. You really can tell a difference.
Cons - I don't care much for the case. Coming from the Diamondclean's fabric and sturdy case, this one is slippery, hard to open and just feels too cheap for such a premium product.

I wish I have bought it log time before
It is perfect and I love how light and useful it is. The battery is amazing, and it is truly a piece of technology. It is perfect for me to keep me brushing all zones. 3D scan is nice however, the app on android 12 does not work perfectly. The Bluetooth is not being connected so, many of advanced features are not available. I think they will resolve this ONLY issue soon. So, I still give the best score.

Я пользуюсь электрической зубной щеткой уже много лет, это моя первая зубная щетка Oral B и это Rolls Royce бренда, она действительно заставляет вас чувствовать себя стоматологом, чистящим каждую щетку .... да, это дорого, но я хочу сохранить свои собственные зубы еще на много лет, лол, так что это будет отличный способ сделать только это ☺️

Ever since a kid I am curious how long or how well I brushed my teeth, this is a childhood dream come true.
With the app you are able to set goals for yourself, and track your own brushing schedule, it is very well designed and everything about this toothbrush is perfection.

Pricey but delivers excellent performance
I’ve been using electric toothbrushes for a long time and this io series is the best of them all imo.
I’ve always preferred the round Oral-B brush head as I feel I get more complete tooth coverage with the smaller head which you use on one tooth at a time and get into spaces easier. I have a soniccare as well but the larger brush head overlaps teeth and doesn’t reach into the spaces as easily not to mention is more cumbersome to try and brush behind your front teeth with. The Oral-B being a round head with a circular motion allows you to hold it vertically to get behind the front teeth easier without changing the brush motion/direction.
This io series maintains the round brush head style like previous oral-b electric brushes but upgrades it further with a faster (soniccare-like) movement speed. It feels like a hybrid of the 2 brushes. Like soniccare it seem to agitate the toothpaste more and push it between the teeth (also splatters a little more than other oral-B’s). The cleaning quality seems as good or better as other oral-b electrics but is a smoother and more gentle feeling experience on your teeth and gums while brushing.
The pressure sensor is a nice upgrade as well which not only shows you when you are pressing too hard like my previous brush did, but it also shows you when you are using the correct amount of pressure as well.
The noise level of the toothbrush and it’s new drive system is indeed significantly more quiet than any other electric I have tried.
You can select your brush mode before turning the brush on (my previous oral-b) could not do this.
The charging base is also a nice upgrade and much faster than any other electric toothbrush I’m aware of, needing only a few hours for a full charge.
The 3D tooth tracking is a neat feature and it does seem to detect which area of your mouth your are brushing with decent accuracy but with some issues as well.
As for the cons:
The 3D tracking via the app monitors where/how you’re brushing and gamifies it by awarding a score at the end. The problem is that it does not seem at all possible to achieve 100% coverage within the recommended 2 minute brushing time. In many attempts I have never been able to get 100% in less than 3 and a half to 4 minutes which is way too long for standard brushing and can cause excess wear on teeth and gums. The app even pops up a warning at 4 minutes saying you’re brushing too long. I don’t think their algorithms are very accurate for this process. While there is still some benefit to see which locations you’re brushing too hard on, etc I don’t think the feature reaches its potential with enough accuracy.
The colour screen is nice but doesn’t really add a ton to the experience over black and white or even the older oral-b models. There is a timer but you can’t see it while brushing. There is a more accurate battery display but you can only see it when the brush is put on the charging base…you can’t check it manually when holding the handle. Aside from that the settings have little icons but that doesn’t tell you what they are any better than the lit up words/icons of previous models. The colour screen is a promoted feature in the top models but it is a pretty limited advantage.
The brush head options are limited. There are only 2 head options for the io compared to the many options the standard oral-b’s offer and the io heads are a lot more expensive.
The included travel/charging case is pretty poor quality for their flagship model. It feels very cheap and plasticy inside and out and just uses a cheap, folded plastic hinge which obviously isn’t great for longevity. My previous oral-b case was a lot more significant with better build quality and materials. This is not what you would expect from a premium $300 brush.
Battery life doesn’t seem much improved over previous brushes. A single brushing can use 5% to 10% or so depending on the setting and time. I would estimate that in a best case scenario where you aren’t using the intensive setting and keep brush times to 2 minutes max, you could get about 20 brushings (10 days) out of a full charge.
Other models are pictured with a brush holder/case but this model does not include it which seems odd considering the io9 is currently the flagship of their lineup.
Overall I do think the brush and its performance is great as is the charge stand/time. That being said you get all that with the io7 for less money. The extra price premium for the io9 gets you a colour screen, a couple extra brush settings, the 3d tracking feature and a charging case. Is that worth the price difference?…for me probably not but when you factor in the additional number of brushes you get with the io9 combined with its sale price then it seems more reasonable which is why I went with io9 myself.

Love this toothbrush
Soon these gadgets will clean your teeth without you even holding them! This is a smart brush and the guided clean makes a huge difference to how my teeth and mouth feel. Best toothbrush ever.

Зубная щетка, используемая с приложением Oral-B, просто безумна. С помощью приложения вы можете видеть, насколько хорошо вы чистите зубы, и если вы слишком сильно нажимаете на зубы / десны, зубная щетка сообщит вам об этом. Время автономной работы довольно хорошее, я брал зубную щетку в отпуск почти на две недели на одной зарядке. Я бы никогда больше не вернулась к ручной зубной щетке.

It’s an Electric Toothbrush
What you’d expect from a electric toothbrush, this one has many modes and features. I like it, just didn’t think I’d be spending $250 on a toothbrush. Does it’s job well though!

This electric toothbrush is good you can see the difference between a manual toothbrush and the electric toothbrush you feel your teeth more clean like if you go to the dentist but it takes time getting used to it,the only downside is the price its a little up there

Expensive but worth it
This was certainly more than I was expecting to spend on a toothbrush, but it’s been super helpful. Although the sensor can sometimes be a bit off, the app is overall very helpful and ensures I don’t brush too hard or miss spots. Worth every penny!

Expensive...but absolutely worth it!
My dentist keeps telling me that I am missing spots when brushing, so I thought I give the lastest IO brush a try. In a nutshell: It is awesome! For one, it comes with a lot of accessories. I love the travel case! The case is for the brush and one brush head. It does not only protect your brush and saves a lot of space, the case also can be plugged in so you can charge your brush while it is in there! This means you do not have to take the magnetic charger (also awesome and stylish) with you on a trip. It comes with an extra plug for the case.
Connecting via Bluetooth is super easy. Just download the Oral B app and follow the easy instructions.
The display on the brush is intuitive...there are so many brush modes. My preferred once are intense, daily clean, whitening and tongue cleaning. There are 2 different modes for people with sensitive teeth and gums...not applying to me.
While you are brushing, you can see a 3D schematic depictions of your teeth (the 4 quadrants). The app shows you were you are brushing and indicates when that sections is clean so that you can move on. Unbrushed spots are shown in blue...while you brush them, the blue lightens until the teeth are shown as sparkling white. At the end of the brushing you are shown if you got all spots...e. g. on my first try I got 72% coverage and the diagram showed the spots missed. The stats are save in the app. You can set goals for additional motivation etc. etc. I think this brush is also great for kids, it has a game like character and makes perfect brushing fun. There are more features, but I did not want to leave a novel here, so I just picked the things I loved best. Go ahead and splurge, healthy teeth and gums are a lifetime investment.

Money Well Spent!
I've only had this brush for about 3 weeks now, and yesterday I randomly received a comment from someone telling me "wow your teeth are looking so white these days". I can honestly say, I've never heard that from anyone in my life, and it really felt good!
This thing is super powerful; it makes your mouth feel so clean after just 2-3 minutes of brushing, it's actually mind blowing. It really does feel like you've just left the dentists office after a cleaning every time you brush.
When it comes to the Bluetooth technology, I think the app works pretty well. You have to open it up on your phone and have it next to you while you're brushing to have it register your stats. It's neat if you're looking to see where to improve on your brushing and what areas of your mouth you might be missing.
The travel case is pretty great too, I was out of town last week and I brought it with me. It was very convenient and I didn't have to worry about battery life at all.
I thought I was crazy spending $300 on a toothbrush, but I couldn't be happier. Thank you Oral-B!

When it comes to the Bluetooth technology, I think the app works pretty well. You have to open it up on your phone and have it next to you while you're brushing to have it register your stats. It's neat if you're looking to see where to improve on your brushing and what areas of your mouth you might be missing.
The travel case is pretty great too, I was out of town last week and I brought it with me. It was very convenient and I didn't have to worry about battery life at all.
I thought I was crazy spending $300 on a toothbrush, but I couldn't be happier. Thank you Oral-B!

Overall good but tracking isn’t accurate
I like it overall. But the tracking sometimes is insanely inaccurate. When I’m brushing the left side it says it’s right…happens very often. Not sure how to fix it. A little frustrated. On the brighter side, the inaccuracy probably made me brush for an extra 30 seconds every time.

Es bueno, trae varios repuestos del cepillo, la batería dura casi toda la semana, tiene buen agarre, es cómodo, lo único que no es tan bueno es el sensor que usa que cuando te cepillas con la app, la app te va mostrando en que parte de la boca estás, y eso no es muy exacto, a. E es estoy del lado superior izquierdo y muestra en la app que me estoy cepillando el lado superior derecho, pero lo demás, está bien, es un poco caro para lo que es realmente

Brushing is Easy Noe.
I really like how this brush makes getting my teeth clean much easier. It has several different modes including tongue cleaning mode which I really like. The brush works flawlessly with the Oral-B app which can be downloaded from the app store. This helps me keep track of what I.need to work.on. The only flaw I have noticed is the real'time 3D tracking doesn't seem to keep track.of which part of my teeth I'm brushing perfectly. Overall, I feel this brush provided great value for what I paid for the brush.

This does a better job than my Oral-B 8000 electric toothbrush.
I had read a few reviews that this brush does a better job cleaning your teeth than older Oral-B models. Well after 2 weeks of use I have to admit that my teeth do feel cleaner throughout the day.
The brushing action is very agressive but I believe my teeth are cleaner and whiter than with my older Oral-B tooth brush.
I was going to purchase the iO7 but the iO9 was on sale for the same price as the iO7 with the additional brush heads that would need to be purchased with the iO7. The colour screen is nice, but certainly not a requirement for a good brushing of my teeth, but the price was right so I purchased the iO9.
The brushing action is very agressive but I believe my teeth are cleaner and whiter than with my older Oral-B tooth brush.

Dentist-like cleaning feel!
I had an Oral-B 7000 SmartSeries brush prior to this and I decided to upgrade to the iO 9 because of a good Black Friday deal. I honestly didn't expect that much of an improvement from the 7000 but it really blew me out of the water. Every time I brush my teeth with this it feels like I just came back from a cleaning at the dentist.
One downside for me - and this is very subjective - is that I find the brush heads a bit bigger than the SmartSeries and I prefer the smaller ones. But on the balance that is a very minor inconvenience.
The Oral-B app is a bit of a mixed bag for me. I actually use it quite a lot and find it quite useful (I guess gamification of anything makes it more fun). It guides you to make sure you clean all sections of your teeth properly but the bluetooth connection is a bit finicky. And when you are using the guided brushing feature it becomes a bit awkward because you kind of have to hold the phone with one hand to see whether you are cleaning properly and brush with the other hand. But of course you don't have to use the app at all, it is just an added benefit.

Amazing toothbrush, but not so much for the charging case
I am using electric toothbrush from Oral-B till many years now, and it's always a pleasure to use their product. Well-made and durable product, it will give you an amazing brushing experience. It let your teeth extremely smooth. Those different mode are also efficient and make a real difference. My only bad point, is the charging case. What people have to know, is that the dock charger and the charging case are made by Braun. The dock charger is very good quality, but we cannot say the same for the charging case. Made from cheap plastic, you can see that Braun company didn't put the same energy for the engineering and building quality. Otherwise, this product is amazing and I recommend it so far.

The app is stuck on December 31, 1999 lol. It must not of received the Y2K memo.
This brush is awesome. Coming from an older pro model, this is lightyears better brushing and cleaning. My mouth feels noticeably cleaner than when using the old electric brush. The motor is much quieter than the earlier models. Aside from app issue, this was a great purchase.

Not multi-user friendly, and no case to store heads
I "upgraded" from an older model that came with the external clock. The first thing I noticed with the new model is there doesn't seem to be any way for the Bluetooth app to distinguish between two different people using the brush with different heads. The heads do have a tiny marking so you know which one is yours, but they no longer use the color-coded plaster rings. The miniature marking on the head is not obvious and it can be hard to see (because it's a tiny square or triangle and you have to remember which symbol is yours).
The heads don't fit into the previous model's case, so I haven't yet figured out where to store the head when swapping it out. The heads are angled, so it can't stand up on its own, and Oral B provides no head case or anything. I've resorted to putting the head into the travel case, but that's far from ideal.
Sure, the cleaning is good as expected, but for the high cost I also expected it to be practical. I'm not going to purchase two of these so my partner and I can each use the app. And it needs a case to store the heads!

A little glitchy... But cleans well.
Sometimes the app doesn't actually register where I am brushing... (Shows in brushing the wrong side etc) resulting in longer-than-needed brush times or getting less than 100% score... It's a little annoying because I spent so much money on it, it should work properly. Other than the app, it works amazingly.

Worth the price.
I was skeptical that a toothbrush at this price could be any better than one with a more down to earth cost but I was proven wrong. The battery life on this thing is incredible and the app is quite helpful.
