Stick with the 2017 model
The user experience is so bad on this 2019 model that I honestly though I'd been given a cheap knock off instead of a real Nokia, but then I found other reviews all mentioning the same complaints that I have. The operating system must contain bugs as I can't believe Nokia would choose to make the changes that are evident, mainly in the Messaging features, as the user experience has become frustrating and clunky when compared to the previous incarnation of the 105 (which was a great little phone). e.g. It's not possible, when using predictive text, to scroll through different options of words for your keyed combination of letters, nor can you add a new word to the dictionary and make that the default selection when you next use that key combination. You just get thrown straight to the 'special characters' screen instead. Predictive text is now essentially useless as you have to go back through your message and edit all the wrong selections using the old multi-tap method to correct the nonsense words.
It's no longer possible to scroll past the end of a message to view the time it was sent - you now have to go back to the messages menu and select 'Details' on the chosen message to view the senders details and the time it was sent.
It's no longer possible to delete ALL messages. Even when you're told everything has been deleted, in fact only the inbox has been cleared. You have to select the Sent box separately and do another 'delete' action there.
I gave this a two star overall rating, instead of the one star I was initially inclined to choose, because it can in fact pick up a signal where some smart phones fail - I guess because the antenna isn't crowded out by other whistles and bells.
I really wish I was quicker to get my old 105 into a rescue bag to dry it out after i dropped it into the toilet bowl! And I wish I waited to get home before binning the packaging and starting to use this new phone - I could have sent it back and got a refund then.

Software is crap but removable battery is king
Software is crap and has unremovable games and apps. Locking mechanism could also be better.
Battery lasts long and call quality is ok. Battery is removable.

Good phone but looked used when opened
Phone is good and easy to use (apart from the SMS autocorrect which is annoying). The phone box when opened looked a bit rough and looked as though it had been somewhat battered around. Don't think it has been used but rather just been a bit mishandled and probably the fingerprint on phone when opened was as a result of testing by HMD's manufacturer.

Basic phone
Simple basic phone - no data, no apps. Takes me back to the old days of Nokia phones. I really struggled to input a contact name into it, until I remembered you have to hit the # key to get it out of predictive text mode, capital mode, etc.

Phone stopped working after 2 months
Bought the phone for occasional usage. It worked well for the first couple of months, but then stopped detecting any SIM card. Performed soft reset multiple times, even used SIM from different network providers, but it didn’t work with any. Contacted the seller and was told rightaway that because it was already more than 2 months old so they can’t replace or repair. Contacted Nokia customer service and was told that because it was purchased from Amazon UK and not from Nokia online so they cannot replace or repair but only Amazon seller can do so , but Amazon seller didn’t replace or repair either. Quite a frustrating experience with the phone and the also the seller ! I’ll neither recommend the product nor the seller to anyone.

Fantastic
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Great if you need a break from a smartphone. I’ve felt amazing since ditching my energy zapping time wasting brain numbing iPhone and using this Nokia, it’s like I’m back to reality l. Excellent

Good but isn’t open to every single network as it doesn’t accept 02 neither 03
It does the job - battery life is good and has a free game called snake, it is open to all networks except 03 and 02 and like Tesco etc

Nice little phone
Bought this for my techno phob husband as his old refurbished phone is on it's last legs. Unfortunately the space button is in the middle and not on the right like his clapped out phone so he won't use it. God give me strength for stupid men. I suppose if he can't use pay at pump when he fills up his car ( I have to do it for him!! ) I was expecting too much with a new phone.

Not like the old ones
I bought this for a retired lady who was going into hospital. she finds it difficult to use a touch smartphone so I decided on this one as it's similar to Nokias that she's had in the past.
Unfortunately, the quality is no longer there. It feels cheap and plasticky. It is cheap and plasticky! The centre button is a nightmare. To scroll up/side or side-to-side is near impossible as your fingers hit something else!

It's a Telephone
No, it's not much use as a web browser with only having a small screen and it doesn't have a camera, but I bought it to be a telephone with decent battery life and SMS capability. Those it does and does well. It also has a built-in LED torch, which I use more than you might think I would.
It's not perfect though, with the buttons having a less than perfect action, and the alarm needing to be set every time you want to use it, so you can't set an alarm that goes off an a given time on work days without remembering to set it every night.

Great for work!
Wanted a basic phone just for taking work calls on. Had a few issues with one of the SIM cards but the other worked just fine. Good battery life, clear calls, texts work well...and it has snake! Oh the nostalgia 😆😁 I take a lot of lengthy incoming calls on this one so it's great for the job.
Its tiny, super cute, great for a basic phone. Wouldn't recommend for older people if they have bad eyesight though as the buttons are so small. But other than that it's all good.

Pessimo. Firmware errato
Ho sempre preso questo cellulare per mio padre in quanto ha la necessità di memorizzare molti contatti ma rimanendo su un modello semplice ed elementare. Questo modello supporta fino a 2000 contatti ma quando sono andato a fare il passaggio non arrivava neanche a 100. Dopo aver controllato la data del firmware, verificato e diagnosticato il modello ho scoperto che in realtà il cellulare è stato flashato con una versione errata compromettendo la memoria a livello hardware. Purtroppo mio padre me lo ha detto molto tempo dopo in quanto usava ancora il vecchio modello rendendo impossibile la sostituzione. Sono davvero rimasto male perché queste cose non devono accadere. Sembra un cellulare riciclato o su cui sono stati fatti esperimenti. Un consiglio spassionato. Appena comprato controllate la versione del firmware tramite l'apposita combinazione dei tasti che in questo modello nokia 105 ta-1174 è *#0000# e fate subito la prova dei contatti se avete questa necessità.
Delusissimo dalla poca serietà del venditore che dovrebbe almeno controllare. Non ricordo se il pacco fosse sigillato in quanto è stato un regalo. Mai più comprerò da questo venditore perché in questi anni ne abbiamo comunque comprati tanti e mai una delusione sotto questo aspetto. Non è colpa di nokia ma del venditore.

Not as good as the 2017 version!
It's a great phone if you just want a cheap one to stick in your bag! It makes calls & you can text and there are a few games on it if you are getting it for a kids phone. But I sadly had to replace my 2017 version after it got very squashed! So got the newer version. Wish I hadn't!
The buttons are really sensitive, I used to be able to throw my old one in my bag and it wouldn't make any sneaky calls while I wasn't looking, this one does unless you lock it, despite me keeping it in a hard cover case. When you text, the text itself is smaller than usual even my daughter with the perfect eyesight of youth thought it was small! Also the battery life seems to be really bad. I don't use my phone much at all but have to charge it every 4 days, the last one lasted 5-6 days.
The only reason I'm not returning it is because it's so cheap and i really can't be bothered! but if you can find a 2017 version I would recommend that instead.

Excellent Little Phone
I purchased the phone for an 83yr old lady and its excellent for her needs, light weight, easy to hold, clear screen, & simple to use.
It a great little phone, I put the sim card in it and it worked perfectly straight away
Set it up On GiffGaff with simple PAYG credit, so she can call me directly FREE OF CHARGE with no ongoing cost
The amazon phice is a bargain for what you get I might buy another one for me as a spare phone

Классический телефон в современном стиле. Мне нужен был новый телефон, так как мое недавнее использование было слишком высоким. Nokia была идеальным кандидатом, поскольку она по-прежнему позволяет выполнять основные функции, для которых были созданы телефоны, без всякой суеты.
После нескольких дней использования я могу сказать, что мне стало лучше от того, что я нахожусь в настоящем моменте, поскольку меньше отвлекающие факторы, исходящие от моего смартфона.
Качество сборки хорошее, не такое тяжелое, как раньше. Тем не менее, это хорошо.
Экран четкий, а качество отличное.
Время зарядки очень быстрое, а заряда батареи хватает на целую вечность. Я получаю около 2 дней с большим количеством использования. В основном деловые звонки.
В целом я бы сказал, что всем следует попытаться вернуться к мобильным телефонам старой школы, чтобы отдохнуть от всего экранного времени.

Сначала вас бы простили, если бы вы заказывали качественный продукт Nokia, но, несмотря на простоту телефона, Nokia ошибается в дизайне всеми мыслимыми способами. С чего начать?
Панель навигации в середине телефона слишком чувствительна, хрупка и мала, часто неправильно интерпретируя вводимые данные, например, нажатие вверх означает "окей" или перемещение влево, когда вы пытаетесь принять или прочитать что-то. Это делает навигацию по меню и попытки чтения текстовых сообщений неприятным занятием.
Хуже всего то, что панель управляет фонариком нажатием вверх, и очень легко случайно активировать фонарик, просто попытавшись нажать центр, чтобы перейти в меню. Это означает хлопоты при выключении горелки. По какой-то причине вместо того, чтобы сопоставлять правую кнопку с чем-то разумным, например, с управлением фонариком или сообщениями, она странно установлена на "будильник", потому что, по-видимому, будильник важнее, чем "контакты", "сообщения" или даже фонарик? Похоже, что также нет способа изменить использование этой кнопки.

Cheap & cheerful
Bought as a replacement for a Nokia 6020 which had done fantastic service and we wanted something as simple and as easy to use for someone with years of experience on the old Nokia model. Sadly the new one proved too complicated (not the manufacturer's fault as all phones do a lot more now) with very sensitive keys and a difficult menu to navigate for an elderly user. I'll keep it as a "disposable" emergency hand set, nothing really bad about it but it does reflect the price point.
