- + Noktua - этим все сказано. Эталон качества и функциональности. Абсолютно бесшумный, даже в стресс тесте AIDA. Ryzen 7 2700 AIDA смогла разогреть лишь до 52°.
- - Надо обладать очень изощренным умом и деформированной психикой, чтобы найти недостатки у Noktua.
Хотя нет, есть один недостаток - цена.
Пользовался GELID, Scythe, Zalman, Cooler Master...

- + Конструкция - построен на основе классической однобашенной схемы с шестью U-образными тепловыми трубками диаметром 6 мм (соединяются с пластинами посредством пайки). Единственная (на данный момент), заслуживающая внимания система воздушного охлаждения, предназначенная для G34.
- - Все остальное, особенно цена.
Так уж случилось, что мне достался Opteron 6282SE и я решил построить на его основе домашний PC, что оказалось крайне непростой задачей - требовалась специальная материнская плата и неслабый кулер из славного семейства супергероев, чтобы отводить тепло от такой "сковороды" (на штатной частоте в 2.6MHz восемь двухядерных модуля выделяют в совокупности 140W). Если первая задача была успешно решена, то вторая нет - единственный кулер, хоть как-то подходивший под это определение был Noctua NH-U12DO A3. Предложений в РФ не было, так что пришлось...

- + Выбирал из него и Термалрайта-ультры, купил его на сокете 1366 в комплектации SE c двумя вертушками, на башне оставил одну, а вторую поставил на вытяжку...

- + призер 150 международных конкурсов; можно написать в Австрию на немецкой и они на халяву вышлют необходимый крепеж под нестандартные сокету
- - тяжелый (на материнскую карту это ограничений не накладывает, но транспортировать можно только в лежачем положении), высокий (не влазит в mini-atx)
решил взять этот кулер, как самый лучший (по отзывам) в 2009г. при закрытом корпусе работает также как и стандартный...

- + 1) Наличие backplate. 2) Надежное винтовое крепление. 3) Два 12-см вентилятора NF-P12 и термопаста в комплекте. 4) Возможность работы в пассивном режиме при малой нагрузке.
- - Дороговато, пожалуй.
Перейдя на i7 920, я решил установить этот кулер (в настоящее время продается комплектация NH-U12P SE1366 под соответствующий сокет, но на Маркете она отдельно не выделена) и не ошибся - камень попался довольно горячий, значительно горячее прежнего Q6600. Установив кулер, я поставил на него обе вертушки (еще один P12 работает...

- + Надежный. Использую много лет (более 5), ни свиста, ни шума - ни чего.
Оптимальное охлаждение. поменял кучу процессоров i5, сейчас стоит core i9-9000K -нет проблем! Нагрев не достигает под разгоном критических значений, я доволен.
Столько раз снимал-ставил - удобный в установке, нет заморочек.
Куча переходников под любой процессор. 5 лет прошло, а я ни разу не...

I've previously been satisfied with the stock heatsink and fan (HSF) that came with my retail CPUs since I wasn't really into overclocking. But lately, I've been really involved with heavy duty video encoding where you're having the CPU run at 100% for days straight. With the stock HSF, once the CPU goes to 100% usage, the fan would spin faster to outrageously loud levels. But my CPU would start to overheat to the point that the computer would crash and reboot. I ended up pointing a desk fan toward the inside of the case which dropped down the temperatures to a reasonable level. However, to have to point a desk fan is not an ideal situation.So some kind people pointed me toward Noctua and told me about the great craftsmanship of their products. And they weren't kidding. This is some of the most amazing packaging and craftsmanship I've ever experienced in a computer product, rivaling the packaging you would expect from Microsoft or Apple. All the various parts and instructions are neatly itemized and separated for your convenience. Not only is the documentation quite good inside the package, but the website is well organized and has even more useful information such as a detailed FAQ. They believe in their product and provide a great 6 year warranty as well.Having been accustomed to the standard HSF that comes with a CPU, it was a shock to see how enormous this Noctua HSF was. It truly is a powerful beast. It comes designed to fit both Intel and AMD CPUs. I personally have an AMD Phenom II 940 X4 Black Edition processor. There are brackets you add to the motherboard so that the HSF securely attaches to it. Since it's so enormous, you do have to be careful of the computer case you're using and the components on the motherboard such as the RAM. As long as those are standard sizes, this HSF should fit. It barely fits in my case. Because the heatsink and fans are so large, the fan doesn't have to spin as fast as smaller fans in order to push the same amount of air so this Noctua is really quiet. The Noctua fans are not standard fans either. They have a modified fin design on the blades to further quiet the fans. In addition, Noctua provides some resistance type cables in order to run the fans at an even slower speed for lesser noise. This Noctua comes with 2 fans, one to push cooler air onto the heatsink and one to pull hot air off the heatsink. Even though it has 2 fans, it's much quieter than the stock fan. The Noctua does not change the fan speed when you go to 100% CPU usage. It's the same quietness all the time.As for the performance, it truly is amazing to see the temperatures drop dramatically. Combined with the near silence of the fans, I'm still in awe. Just remember that even though the Noctua HSF is pulling a lot of heat off your CPU, you still need to have case fans to pull the heat out of the computer case. Since my CPU is a Black Edition CPU, the multiplier is unlocked so I did some overclocking and it's working like a champ.I completely recommend this product. It appears to have the excellent support of Noctua behind it. It has all the parts needed for your Intel or AMD CPU. It runs cool and quiet. What else can you expect from a heatsink/fan?

I have this mounted on an Asus Sabertooth X79 motherboard with a intel i7-3820 130W CPU. I initially purchased a Noctua NH-D14 but it proved to be to large and contacted my RAM. When I realized this would fit with an adapter kit (also available on Amazon) I purchased it and have been very impressed! It runs nearly silently, and keeps my overclocked processor well within standard temperatures (while not taking up huge amounts of space in my case like the D14). I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for excellent air cooling, though if you want the best then the D14 cools ever so slightly better.

What a beautiful piece of engineering and design. Easily installed and works like a charm. At idle my CPU (an i5-3570k running at 3.8GHz) is hitting 34 degrees, which is piddling. Had problems with my motherboard so had to have the fan uninstalled for a week or so. Made an interesting ornament on my nightstand during this period. Great value and a great cooler/fan.

I've been using this cooler for 3-4 years now, and just got the second one. Can't beat $38. I don't overclock, but the level of noise matters to me - at the ultra low setting you won't hear the fans, and for i7 3770 that level of cooling suffices for 30C idle, and 60C after 20 or so minutes of Prime95. Installation is easy, workmanship is superb. I think the color is ugly but I guess it indicates you know your parts.

When I bought this CPU cooler I wasn't sure that i was going to fit in my HAF 922, but the since the HAF922 has one of the largest width in a computer case it did fit and left some room for the side 200mm fan to fit too. The height of this thing is about 158MM. The assembly of the CPU cooler was straight for such as Aligning and attaching it to the back plate of the motherboard. My motherboard is a GA-990FXA-UD3(AM3+ Board) and it fit firm and good. The cooling is first class although I haven't gotten a chance to play any games or tax the system. The Temperature reading are between 31-38C between Idle and movie viewing and doing other light work. I however had to make a change in the Bios in the Fan control section from Auto to PWM as I noticed that sometime the Fans on the cpu cooler wouldn't start unless I touched them. But Since I made the change it has been operating flawlessly. I guess the different between is 3pin to four pin connector that cause that Glitch, but however it may have been a something I overlooked. The noise level is really quiet from what you could expect from a large CPU cooler, even though I haven't tax the system as said before.

I was tempted to get the DH14 but didn't want to risk not having all my ram slots available. I've had a scythe ninja and a corsair in other builds, after years of bad mounting experiences, this was a dream. I remember back in the day w/ stock coolers it was a miracle if you didn't break something getting the stupid thing mounted. Those are long gone, and this U12 makes it extremely easy to mount.I have a cooler master HAX full tower case and have this hooked up to a 3570k ivy bridge @ stock it idles around 29c and not much more under load. I haven't had time to OC it yet, but I'm very happy with the cooler. It's also dead quiet. You can tell Noctua puts a lot of engineering and design into their coolers, I couldn't be happier with an air cooler.

The fan works great, but it sits so high that it won't fit in any 7" tower/pedestal case or in any 4U rack mount chassis. There are wider cases that are available, but I haven't found any that also support external hot swap bays, which I need.

Cooler is great but comes with 3-wire fans. I needed a 4 wire fan so I replaced one. Seems to work well enough, keeps CPU in the 60s Centegrade. (old core i7) I expected better for the price.

I built a PC based on the Intel core i7-960 for video processing that also does double duty to power a home theater. The Noctua keeps the CPU running cool even with the strain of video editing and processing while the low noise fans are great for the home theater use.After building numerous PC's, I highly recommend this cooler for high performance CPU's while maintaining a low noise environment. It is the best I have found for air cooling.There is always liquid cooling for the ultimate in heat transfer, if cost is no object. But in high heat loads the external cooling fins will require a fan, and a fan outside the case is much loader than a fan inside a noise shielded PC case.

I bought this to replace a liquid cooler whose pump was too loud for my use; this is installed in a custom HTPC. This PC is kept running as it is my program recorder. The liquid cooler was a Corsair; it was efficient in heat dissipation but could be heard 15 feet away in a quiet room. This unit cannot be heard when standing next to the PC: a world of difference. I use a the same unit in my main PC. Both have quad core AMD processors and 8GB Ram running Windows 7 Professional.I highly recommend this cooler for just about any PC. CPU temperatures average 39 to 41 degress C under heavy load with ambient temps of 78 to 80 degrees F.

The Performancei upgraded from the zalman http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-CNPS9700LED-Ultra-Quiet-Cooler/dp/B000JSFZPS/ref=sr_1_5?s=gateway&ie=UTF8&qid=1284781112&sr=8-5 to this. i own an intel i7 930 and an asus p6t. with the zalman (max rpm / loud) i could not reach 4GHz with HT on. it only reached 3.8GHz stable but with prime95 the temperatures were near the max (95-97C). with this noctua i am running at 3.990GHz with HT on at 1.25 volts. stable in prime95 for over a day. temperatures maxed at 85C. in games the temperatures are usually around 65C.The Detailsthe noctua is a big cooler. i own the antec 900 gaming case v1. this cooler blocks the use of the side fan for this case. the noctua comes with 2 lower fan speeds which i dont use. at full speed it is still more quiet than the zalman at full speed. the zalman does come with a nice fanspeed controller. the installation of the noctua takes longer than most other coolers but it is a better cooler due to the detailed installation process. it even has rubber strips that go between the fans and the heatsink to minimize any vibration noise. it comes with both an amd kit and an intel kit so it should work with any mainstream chip you have.i highly recommend the noctua because it doesnt leave me wanting more.

After having accidentally breaking my factory CPU cooler, I was forced to get a new one. This was my selection after a friend led me on to the company itself. My cpu would idle around 80 degrees Celsius with the 1 anchor broken. This CPU dropped my temperatures down to 35 Celsius and 45 max under full load. It is a monster for air cooling and I don't even hear the thing running inside my case. I would highly recommend this if your motherboard can fit it. It's fan security brackets overshadow 1 of the DIMMs on my EVGA x58 FTW3 motherboard and I have it in the vertical position (meaning the air flows up). The best part is it is air cooling so I need little to no maintenance lol.

IT IS MUCH BIGGER THAN I EXPECTED, BROUGHT MY CPU TEMP FROM 60-70 C TO 30-40 C. ABIENT TEMP DROPPED SLIGHTLY.DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE SCREWS, THEY SEAM A BIT FLIMZY. SOMEWHAT QUITE EVEN AT THE HIGHEST SPEED.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. THE ONLY ISSUE I HAD WAS STRAPING THE FANS TO THE HEAT SINK, THE REST WAS VERY EAZY.EXPECT TO REMOVE YOUR MOTHERBOARD FOR INSTALLATION.CHEERS

This was my first time building a PC and I chose this product based on its good reviews. This keeps the temperatures in my CPU below 50 and the noise is not even noticeable unless I have my ear very close to the case.It took a while for me to figure out how to assemble this piece, especially pinning the 2nd fan to the heat sink, but that is not a big issue.One thing to be careful while buying this is - the size of the CPU case. I think I have a mid tower ATX case and this unit just fits in the case. I had to get rid of my CPU case fan as there was no space after I put this in there. I don't know if the CPU fan would have made things any better or not, I'm happy with just this.
