These Noctua case fans have the weirdest color schemes, but they work great. Good CFM and quiet. Even in a very quiet room when you can hear the slight fan hum it is a pleasant hum. Many people overlook the type of noise it makes and only focus on the CFM and DBM. The noise type is very important and Noctua pulls it off.

Package was delivered on time, and product was exactly what was ordered. These fans are "PWM" meaning they can have their speed controlled by the motherboard. They are very quiet. Just a whisper at full speed, and nearly dead quiet on a slower speed. Easy to install.

I bought 3 of these fans to replace 3 koolance 120mm fans on my 3x120 radiator. The difference is nothing short of AMAZING!!!Idle liquid temps went from 5C over ambient to 3C over ambient which is impressive for a fan that spins at half the speed and moves less than half the air. What is most striking however is the audible difference. Sitting on the ground less than a foot away I can barely hear all 3 noctua's running at full speed, the sound of the air moving through the radiator is louder than the fans and even that is a whisper. I have these set up as pushers (logic would dictate this due to high static pressure, but I'm no engineer) and there is a very solid flow of air through the radiator, almost like a cool breeze if you will.Prime95 tests showed somewhat improved results, on average about 2C lower with a 10 minute run. Configuration is as follows:Ambient 22C-24Ci7 950 @ 4.2ghzHyper threading offVcore 1.400Idle Tcore 40C Tcase 33CLoad Tcore 65C Tcase 59CDownstream on same cooling loopOC'd nVidia GeForce GTX 470Shader clock @ 1900MhzOverall I wish I could give this 6 stars, its that good (7 if not for the hideous color scheme). However silence is beautiful too.

All cables are fully (FULLY) sleeved -- Black. So, go to the manufacturers web sit , if you want to see this product.

I bought this fan to replace my old Cooler Master case fan, which is not so quiet. Before I installed Noctua NF-P12 fan, I compare it to my old fan. The Noctua NF-P12 is extremely quiet and with almost no vibration. I couldn't hear any sound when I was in front of this fan. On the other hand, my old fan is a little bit noisy and with lots of vibration. When I want to bought my new fan, I couldn't decide I should get NF-P12 or NF-S12B, and I was a little bit worrying about the high speed of 1300RPM of this fan. It turns out that NF-P12 is still very quiet when it runs in 1300RPM. And, the 900RPM (U.L.N.A.) setting simply makes it silent.

I bought two of these for my push/pull configuration for my Corsair H60.Both fans run silent at 850rpm, but the fan (I tried both of them) that is placed between the case and radiator makes a loud whine at about 900-1000rpm. I think it has to do with air being pulled in but not being able to fully pass through the radiator and thus having no where to go.Excellent fans overall. Just be aware the sandwiched fan of a push pull system may make a noise at high speeds. The one not sandwiched is silent even at 1300rpm.

This is one of Noctua's two good fans, the other being the NF-F12. It's a tad expensive, but the P12 has about the best noise to airflow ratio over 1000rpm of any fan I've tried. It's got a nice heft to it and certainly gives an impression that Noctua did not cut corners with materials. Honestly some of their other fans have failed to impress me, but the NF-P12 comes close to perfection.I've tried lots of fans. LOTS. The NF-P12 may not be the the most quiet, or have the best airflow, but there's no fan that has the combination of very low noise, good airflow, and top notch materials and accessories. If you want a "sure bet" that won't disappoint from a company that is probably second to none when it comes to quality and backing their product, this is the one. If you're using this as a case fan, just use the ULNA cable. At its lowest setting it moves plenty of air for nearly any application. You can even use the extra limiter for other fans.

Forget about the low noise and high CFM - this fan has that and you know it. One of the best things about this fan, other than those obvious things, is that it just *oozes* quality. You can just tell, just holding the thing. It's nothing like cheap-o fans out there. From the plastic it's made from, to the packaging, to what comes in the packaging, let's just say there's nothing else like these fans out there. I also own Noctua's DH-D14 CPU cooler - that thing is just a beast. The only cons are the colors (but I think they'd look great in a white case), and the very low "whine" I can now hear from the fan. The noise is different than normal fan noises, sort of an oscillating whine is the best way I can describe it. That said, it's not a noticeable sound. I may be biased because I spent a few years in a server room as my office, the noise doesn't bother me so much.

Purchased a new computer online and was excited to be getting the 2600k chip. Came with the stock cooler installed and I couldn't believe what I was hearing, sounded like a model plane jet engine. A little research latter and Noctua popped up and it looked like sound engineering. Replaced the side fan and replaced the stock cooler with a coolermaster vortex (mid atx case, little room) and replaced the coolermaster fan with aanother Noctua PWM and now I have shaved off at least fifteen decibels to a sweet very acceptable level. When you first get the product out of the package and hold it in your hand you will feel the weight and construction level alone compared to normal fans is outstanding. You get what you pay for, cost to benefit ratio off the charts. Using speedfan to monitor CPU temps, upper 20's at idle and 44 to 47 gaming. Buy these without hesitation...

I often thought this product was too expensive and overhyped. I replaced a stock Cooler Master fan with this and it dropped my cpu and system temps by 8 degrees celsius idle and on demand. It's virtually silent even at 1200 rpm. The only con is that I was unable to install the vibration isolation grommets and used the screws instead. Consequently the fan can cause case vibration at 1200 rpm. Once I have more time I'll reattempt the grommets and eliminate that.Highly recommended especially now that they're under $20.

They also have thoughtfully made them with nice long power leads and a provided collection of adapters to fit any power availability I could think of. The main lead is also nicely wrapped in a protective sleeve instead of just bare wires jangling around loose in your chassis. Will definitely choose these for future builds that need a little extra air.

I like these fans. I bought 4 of them for my case. I like the feel of them. I don't love the color as most people don't either but it isn't very visible when it's inside the case. The rubber mounts are nice although I don't see any instruction how to properly install them any where. There is a small diagram that doesn't help much. Installing these rubber mounts is pretty difficult because there will always be 1 or 2 holes that is impossible to reach because it's too close to components in a case.I have an NZXT case with a fan controller. These fans are pretty quiet and are more quiet if they run on slower speeds. Out of the 4 fans that I bought, I have a problem with one or two of them not spinning on the lowest fan controller speed when I turn on the computer. The fan works once I increase the speed to a higher setting and then reduce it back to lowest setting. I find this a little strange. This is a small hassle because if I forget to turn the speed up at first, one or two fans won't be doing their jobs and not cool the system. Here is my problem with these fans. I really didn't see much of a temperature drop with these from the original NZXT fans that come with the system. The NZXT fans are about $7 and cool the system to a similar temperature. These Noctua fans might cool it to 1 or 2 degrees Celsius lower. I don't know if it is really worth buying fans that are more than double the price to get a similar temperature. They are more expensive but are some of the quietest ones I've used.

These fans are just unbeatable when it comes to performance/noise. I replaced two 80mm fans with 2 of these Noctua's and I installed another Noctua 120mm in the side door (Cooler Master HAF 912 Case) and the results are unmatched. These fans move a good amount of air and they produce little noise. I will not say they are absolutely silent but all you hear is a feint sound of air movement and not the sound of the fan fins, which you hear from other fans from other manufacturers which gets unbearable after a while.Everyone knows Noctua is a premium brand and they use premium parts in making these fans. These fans will last >100,000 hours, which absolutely beats the competitors, whose sleeve fans are rated at roughly 20,000 hours and get louder the more they're in use. Many people find these fans ugly but I am not going for looks but for performance/noise and these fans are constantly rated at the top of the 120mm charts.A good touch is that Noctua includes 4 rubber mounts to install the fans to reduce vibrations but the fans were semi-loose when using them so I decided to just screw them in. They also come with 4 to 3 pin fan adapters for those who prefer to connect them via the power supply or for those who have no fan headers left to use on the motherboard.

It had the 140mm fan and I was immediately impressed not only with the craftsmanship, but the low noise coming from the fan while still moving a lot of air. I have since purchased 4 of these NF-P12 fans to replace stock case fans (by Cooler Master) in two different systems. These fans are worth the price just for dealing with the headache of replacing failing fans (even after re-lubing them) and the incessant noise/ticking that seem to be inherent in Cooler Master case fans.Anyway, for your own sanity if nothing else, buy Noctua.

This fan has by far the highest air flow vs lowest noise I've found in a computer fan EVER! No joke this fan is ultra quiet and moves air very efficiently and powerfully. The ONLY downside at all is the brown color & lack of LED's for those fancy PC bling enthusiasts. Pfft! Seriously I'll easily sacrifice aesthetics for it's overall quality any day. I love this fan so much I've purchased 18 of them for a push pull configuration on a MO-RA3 9 x 120mm PRO Extreme Radiator. (found here)[...]* Unfortunately as of this post, not yet sold on Amazon.Along with the Rhombus Fan Brackets "Grills" covering the brown fans on either side for a clean look, makes for the most extreme cooling system I've ever had on my water-cooled PC. And thankfully as quiet as can possibly be with all those fans running :PIf you're going to use anywhere near this amount of running fans for your PC configuration you certainly want the best, and Noctua CAN'T be beat.

This is the third fan I bought from Noctua.I continue to be impressed by the workmanship of this Austrian fan producer. The fan is silent, yet produces a massive air flow of up to 92.3m3/h at 1300rpm and 19.8dB(A), which is barely audible from 1 yard away. You can also use two different extension cables to reduce the RPMs, airflow, and make the fan inaudible. Also, the fans come with great flexible rubber attachments for reducing vibrations, as well as classical screws. I usually use the rubbers, as they have the added benefit of quick installation. This particular fan ended up in a push/pull configuration for water cooling an I7 860 with a Corsair H50, and it works great.Throughout the last 20 years, I must have purchased around 20 different computer fans. I was never really satisfied until I found Noctua. If you're tired of funny noises coming from under your desk and want maximum cooling for overclocking your computer or a long life for your expensive hardware, get one of these: Simply terrific, strong and silent fans.

Noctua fans are pretty much top of the heap as far as it goes on CPU case fans of the 120 and 140 mm variety. In a world of case fans where the word 'silent' means 'no moving parts included', Noctua fans in general are great with a good deal of air flow and static pressure for their volume level. The overall design of the part (in this case the 120 mm fan) is top notch, with robust materials and pleasing visual qualities. The black cable sleeving is high quality as well, a good length, thick, but supple as well. What's more, the company includes a kit of incredibly useful accessories that put to shame 90% of their competition. Two sets of mounting fasteners, metal screws or rubber inserts, and two different low-noise adapters for if you need even more quiet at the expense of airflow. I ended up putting the noise adapters on other fans in my case to shut them up and make them as quiet as the Noctuas. Now to talk about the colour scheme. Oh the color scheme! I am not a fan of the odd brown colors that Noctua insists on marketing with their products. I almost feel like the butt of a joke, like they said, "These fans are so good, people will buy them no matter what dumb color we use!" Buy them I will, even when the only future option is pink and glittery. Maybe someday public outcry will be heard and they will release other colour schemes, like all black or something. Then it would go with my case.Overall, I'll buy Noctua fans again. I might have to paint them myself to get them to match, but they are the only of a few case fans that I will consider until someone else can design a better fit for my performance/silent PC fetish.

Excellent low noise/high pressure fan that money can buy. Engineered to run quiet, you can take it two more level's down with low voltage adapters that are included with the kit. Or just plug it straight in to your mobo fan headers and have software/BIOS do the job. Rated 1300 - 900 RPM's. The SSO bearings will have this fan outlive your rig. Included in this fan kit: 1 x 120mm fan, 1 x low noise adapter, 1 x ultra low noise adapter, 4 x case fan screws, 4 x rubber mounting grommets (vibration-compensator), and 1 x 4 pin molex to 3 pin power adapter. For a little more $ and 10% more air flow, the NF-P12B is another nice Noctua fan. It's just as quiet as this NF-P12. Never sacrifice low noise for CFM's; these fans won't let you down.

This Noctua brand fan is quiet and moves a lot of air for the RPM.I previously bought a lot of Nexus and Yate Loon branded fans and still have many of those in use with good results. The reason I started trying these Noctua brand fans is that they come with 2 little electrical wire adapters to slow the fan speed. You can run the fan at stock (normal) speed, or when one of these little adapters is fitted, it changes the electrical resistance that is facing the incoming electrical power, and hence the fan speed will run slower. How much slower depends on which adapter is fitted. For a given quantity of air moved (CFM), these have lower noise (db) and fan speed (RPM) specs. So far, I can't see any degradation in performance versus Nexus or Yate Loon, and the noise profile seems at least as good if not better.Being able to switch the speed of the fans with the adapters allows me to stock and use fewer part numbers.------------------------Here are some specs:Stock (no adapter fitted):19db / 54 CFM / 1300 RPMWith Low Noise Adapter (LNA) Fitted:17db / 46 CFM / 1100 RPMWith Ultra Low Noise Adapter (ULNA) Fitted:13db / 37 CFM / 900 RPMNOTE: I used this website to convert the published flow rates from metric units (m3/h) to imperial units (CFM): [...]-

After reading all the reviews and recommendations, I decided to try these case fans. I was pleasantly surprised at just how quiet they really are. I have them installed in a custom built HTPC; replacing the case fans on a Tsunami tower. One for intake at the front, one for exhaust on the side panel (after modifying the panel) and one to replace the fan on a Corsair H50 cpu cooling system that was much too loud for my liking.I did not use any of the included mounts or wiring to lower noise or speed. The fans' speeds are controlled by the mother board. From 10 feet away, in a quiet room, you can barely notice that the computer is running; and, then, only if you are aware of it.As far as the cooling properties, the internals of the computer remain consistant at 46 degrees C under load. This is a room with an ambient temperature of 78 degrees F.I am about to modify my personal computer with a similar setup. I highly recommend these cooling fans for performance and noise reduction.I have been building my own computers for over ten years and will be using these from now on.

I wanted to install a push/pull setup for my H50 radiator, so I wanted two identical fans. I installed these on the back of the case. I had the stock set up as intake, as suggested by Corsair, so I wanted to see if setting the fan up as exhaust really would downgrade performance. It did, the push/pull set up as exhaust cooled much worse than one fan as intake. So I reversed the fans, and set them up as intake, and it works great. I noticed that from stock to 3.8 Ghz I had virtually no temperature change on my i7 920 processor. So I run it at 3.8, core temperature idles under 40 C.I have a CM Stacker 830 case (all fans 120 mm) , with these two fans set up on the rear exhaust opening as intake, and then I have two hard drive cages with fans in the front acting as intake. Then I have one fan on top set up as exhaust, and three more fans on the side set up as exhaust. The radiator causes some problems with the side door that holds the fans, so there is no fan over the CPU space.I have the Noctuas connected to the MB CPU fan controller, using a fan cable splitter to ensure that both fans are running at the same RPM. The other six fans in the case are hooked up to a 6 fan controller in the front, and I keep those turned to the lowest level all of the time. I still can't hear the Noctuas running at full speed over the rest of my 120 mm fans running at slowest speed.

These are definitely the fans for your radiator. before using the fans my pc was running pretty high temperatures, i mean running prime95 for 5 minutes shot the temperature to 82-86 degree. but after replacing the existing fans with two of these the temperature hovers around 68-70 even after running prime95 for 40 min. One of best fans, extremely good static pressure, low noise. got it from platinum micro , fast shipping Excellent seller.

Ужасно

Bought three of these for a new comp build and two are useless - they are twice as loud as anything else in the machine. Not impressed with the reality vs. the hype. The motors make a constant whining sound that totally overwhelms the sounds of the hard drives and power supply fan.

I went to the Noctua site and learned about how the 9 blade vortex blades are designed on a computer for maximum flow to reduce speed and noise. The self-stablishing oil bearings will run forever. I was sold. The prices are competitive too! It came with connectors to plug into a variety of spare open connectors in your pc. Very well build. All my fans will be Noctua from here on.

I was revamping an old computer and wanted to make it as quiet as possible - picked up two of these, and have been extremely happy that I did. They push a lot of air, and are very, very quiet.

Ditto what the other posters wrote. The Noctua NF-P12 case fan is dead quiet and works great.I never understood why everyone had trouble with the silicone mounts, but I do now. Lousy design--I snapped two before I gave up and used the regular screws (included). Doesn't matter, though. The fan is so quiet that I can't hear it even though the computer is right beside me.No instructions included. Had to go to the web to identify the other cables. Tossed them, too, and connected directly to the motherboard for maximum RPM.
