Let me start of by saying that I usually like Mikrotik products. I've worked with the RB450G in the past and I think their RouterOS is fantastic. If you're looking for professional networking gear at consumer prices that'll give you Cisco-type flexibility then Mikrotik is the way to go. The learning curve is steep and you need to be willing to make that investment if you're a consumer.The RB751U-2HND should be a hit but I think it's a dud. I've had to RMA two of them. They would work for a while then lock-up with all of the LEDs flashing. If you look at the Mikrotik forums you'll see that it's a known problem and supposedly only affects some of the early production runs but here we are many months later and they're still in the retail pipeline. Unfortunately neither Mikrotik nor the sellers seems to be able or willing to identify the affected units.To top it all off the wireless-n performance is horrible and doesn't come close to matching that of any cheap consumer-grade router. That's another common problem and you'll see a lot of folks complaining on Mikrotik's forums with no one offering any solutions. Of course, the two problems (flashing lights lock-up and performance) could be related but who knows.So overall I've wasted way too much time working with the RB751U-2HnD and if I had to bill my time or visit customer sites for faulty/bad installs I'd be pulling my hair out. It's just not worth it.

It is quick and simple to install for a default wireless router while providing all the sophistication of the full RouterOS for those that want to take advantage of advanced functions.

Amazing features built for backhaul but priced for the consumer. You must know what you are doing with a router to operate this thing. Read the reviews! RouterOS is one of the best in the industry and it shows.

I bought this to replace a Linksys router at home and I'm loving it already. The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is that I realize not everyone has the experience to configure this box, Mikrotik should take the time to prepare a quick start PAPER guide showing the steps for configuring basic services on this routerPROSInfinite degree of configuration, full blown router with USB port for memory cache or 3G dongle. Sleek white case with all required indicator lights. Extremely powerful, this rivals routers costing hundreds of dollarsCONSRequires experience to configure, no user guide in the box, Mikrotik assumes you must be a geek to buy thisIf you are a geek, this is the ultimate home router, nothing comes close but even for a geek the learning curve is quite steep but then this is because the feature set is so rich

This router is the most powerful router that I have ever seen. Gives you so much control over your network. Somewhat difficult to master but the builtin manuals helps. Set bandwidth limits, time limits, and volume limits.

I had bought Mikrotik RB751U-2HND WIRELESS AP 802.11b/g/n 1000mW Item' but the arrived different model (Mikrotik RB750) and out of work.
