For evaluating these, I turned to my 14 year old son who is a guru of oth computers and flight simulators. I asked him to write up what he liked and do not like about them. Here is what he had to sa ...The Logitech G940 is nice but it not the best flight system I have ever seen, the main issue with it that I have experienced is that it is very difficult to set up. The primary reason for this is that it is viewed by a computer as 3 separate joysticks; this means you must assign everything manually. Furthermore certain video games cannot be played using this flight system because they support only one joystick, not the 3 this appears to be.However once it is set up it is an excellent system the force feedback (once calibrated) is very nice; it has a lot of customizable buttons. The only issue I have experienced when it is set up is the pedals have a sticky feeling and thus they must be set to have very little resistance when sliding this makes it harder to make fine adjustments when flying with the rudder pedals. Over all the G940 is a great flight system that has a horrible software setup.

I bought this from Amazon, took the super-saver shipping and received it two days later, on a Thursday evening. The packaging was more than adequate and the controller arrived without a scratch on it. I've now had an entire weekend to play with it so these are my thoughts.I run Windows XP and, like other reviewers, I ignored the CD and downloaded the latest drivers from the Logitech website. The programming software works ok, but is nothing special. My previous stick was the Thrustmaster Cougar and the flexibility of the Foxy software is in a different world to the Logitech one. That being said, however, I didn't personally use the vast majority of those features and instead downloaded other peoples' profiles from the web. Hopefully, the community will also supply a large number of profiles for the G940.There is a minor nuisance with the software in that you can't assign stick functions, program a profile or, in fact, start the software at all without the controller plugged in. This is inconvenient, but not a showstopper. The stick itself feels good in the hand and has a slightly rubbery feel to it. It has a larger footprint on the desk than any other stick I've owned which, presumably, is to accommodate the force feedback motors. The micro-stick on the joystick that looks like a POV-hat isn't, and the castle switch is instead used as the POV. Not sure that I particularly like that choice but the micro-stick can be programmed to act as a normal hat if needed. I've found I need to keep the dead-zone on the microstick axes relatively high to prevent unwanted inputs in flight as the calibration seems to drift slightly. The throttle unit also feels decent in the hand but isn't exactly going to win any beauty contests. The twin throttles separate easily and also recombine easily. The action is smooth and the friction adjustable. The lit buttons on the throttle base also function nicely as buttons and, I'm told, will function as working LED indicators in the future. One of my gripes with the throttle is about the R1 and R2 rotaries. It would have been nice to have had either a detent or at least some physical means of telling when they were centered without having to look at the painted line on them. But if you're picky about that you can always file a small groove into the center-point yourself. The pedals are lovely. Nice and solid, and wide enough for me. I'm 6"3 and find them pretty comfortable. I've never actually used any other sim-pedals before but I fly little single engine planes in real life so have a pretty good idea how rudder pedals should feel.I've been playing IL2 and DCS Black Shark and have been loving the force feedback. At the default settings the feedback is nice and strong, and the force can be ramped up or down in the Logitech software to suit your tastes. Using the trim function in Black Shark and having the stick actually stay in the trim position is fantastic and actually 'feeling' your warbird about to enter a stall in IL2 really helps with both my flying and my sense of immersion in the sim.The 3-axis trims on the stick are great in IL2 and incredibly useful. Once again, no 'feelable' center position but you can't have everything. One thing I did after a few minutes of using the stick was to put a little piece of tape over the "dead man's switch". This is a little sensor that detects whether the user's hands are on the stick or not and turns down the force feedback if necessary. It's a nice feature in theory but, especially in black shark with the stick in a trimmed position, I find the stick will jump around if I loosen my grip on the stick and no longer cover the sensor, so I took the decision to cover it up permanently. I just make sure to unplug the DC power to the stick if I leave it unattended.Overall, very happy with the product with just a small wish-list for extra software functionality.

To use the vernacular from my youth, "This thing is so dope." I took an introductory pilot lesson and learned that rudders(pedals) are really important for learning to fly. Who would have thought? Suddenly, my mouse/keyboard approach didn't feel like it was actually helping me learn. I bought this set up, and now flight simulators feel way better. The force feedback on the joystick is a nice touch - I haven't noticed anything on the pedals after a few minutes of flying around. The buttons are configurable, and the plastic cover for the glowing throttle buttons can be removed, allowing you to put in labels. It's a nice touch, and I appreciate it.The parts themselves feel really solid. I'm not afraid that I'm going to snap this joystick in half if I bank too hard.It seems like an investment, but this kit feels well worth it to me.

Big chunky eats a lot of desktop real estate, very kool! Why three stars?1. Pedals are to close together and should be width adjustable.2. Joystick grip should be longer. I don't have big paws and find the pinky button (S5)is just to close for comfort. The side thumb button (S4) could use a little rest above it to keep from being hit by mistake.3. Programing - this is not plug and play! You need to configure your games yourself. In FSX the pedals were set up, left pedal Y AXIS, right pedal THROTTLE. Very hard to taxi, take off, 4get-abaot-it.Logitech, to make it great, make this grown-up toy to fit a grown-up and add a basic set-up that works out of the box . I like to tinker and tweak but not for six hours on Christmas before I can play with my toys.Bottom line I do like it, could it be better? Yup but then so could I.

I must say that I bought the Logitech G940 Flight System even after reading the Negative reviews.I did not make a mistake. If there is a better Flight control system out there I have yet to find it.Simple to use and set up. Just follow the instructions and you are there. I have had no problems with it as of yet, and I don't expect to in the near future. Well put together and very functional, and the force feedback is a blast as well.

This is simply an AWESOME joystick, throttle, and rudder set. It's very well made and you can tell, it's a quality product and the weight is very good so it doesn't slide all over the place. There is also plenty of help from the Logitech website as well. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get serious about flying a sim.

This review covers the G940 in general, but specifically talks about using it with Rise of Flight: The First Great Air War, a WWI combat simulator by NeoQB.Joystick:Love the shape of the stick, love most of the buttons, love the coolie hat altho I haven't found a use for it yet in Rise of Flight (would be nice to pan the in-flight map). The trigger is quality, and has an excellent feel to it -- more like a real trigger than some $0.43 plastic game controller button as on my previous stick (Logitech Extreme 3D Pro). The force feedback is actually way to strong for my liking at 100% setting (default), but I like it quite much at about 35%. The shaking when rolling a plane hard, touching the ground, or firing MG's is sweet. The pre-stall buffeting is invaluable when flying an aircraft on the edge of stall. Two of the buttons on top of the stick are difficult for me to reach, and I have probably average size hands (I'm 6' tall).Throttle:Very awesome. I'm using the right slide for throttle and the left for radiator. I'm using one of the rotary dials for mixture, and the other for zoom. There are still 4 buttons and two 8-way hats on the throttle that I haven't found a use for yet (TeamSpeak hotkeys maybe?). I'd like to setup the 8 programmable buttons at the base of the throttle to do gestures and flight leader commands, but they don't work in ROF out of the box. It will require a little tweaking in the Logitech software, I guess. In all, the throttle kicks ass.Pedals:Sturdy and accurate. I really wish that the tension dial increased the load on the centering spring so that the pedals snapped to center more readily when torqued down. Instead, the tension dial is basically just a "brake" which applies friction to the pedals throughout their range of motion. I don't always feel the center-detent indicating neutral rudder. This will take some getting used to, I suppose.Software:It kinda sucks in my opinion. I only messed with it for about 3 minute before determining that nearly everything I wanted to do could be easily accomplished directly in the game.Overall:All of the parts feel pretty well made. All of the cables are plenty long enough. I'm very happy with the G940, and I'm pretty sure I'll like it even more as I become proficient with it. Coming from a year or so of using a twist-stick, I really do have to learn how to fly all over again. But I already can't wait to take my SE5a up again, so that's a good sign!

The G940 is a potentially great product that is difficult to give a *star* rating to. The reason is that your experience with it is going to depend hugely on what games you use it with, what your expectations are, and how patient you are.If you are using this stick on a game that is programmed to use FFB effects and these effects have been programmed "correctly" (i.e. programmed in a manner specifically specified by Logitech for this stick), then you will probably have a wonderful experience. The trouble is, very few games are programmed to take advantage of this yet. So even though I believe the hardware on this system is top notch and capable of very high precision, its hard to know what will work well and what won't right now. FSX with the FS Force add-on evidently works great, for example, but other recent games such as DCS: Black Shark have poor FFB performance on this stick (other FFB sticks are said to be much better). Another very common issue with this stick is "slop", which is seen in many FFB games (including Black Shark), and is exhibited in EVERY non-FFB game. Basically, this means that the center 10 to 20 percent of travel in the middle of this stick has almost no center spring effect. This is a nasty, nasty issue that can evidently be overcome through software (either Logitech's for non-FFB games, or the game makers for FFB games), but to this date Logitech has not yet addressed this in non-FFB mode and this remains an unresolved issue for many FFB games. This is why, if you are expecting a great FFB experience out of the box, it will depend on games you own, whether the "slop" is an issue for you, and how patient you are to wait for Logitech and game makers to fix these issues.I have heard that other Logitech FFB stick have similar issues, but one thing they need to know loud and clear is that when you introduce a serious HOTAS product with this kind of price tag, issues that aren't a big deal in a lower-end stick are just not acceptable in a product targeted at more "serious" use.I purchased my first FFB stick (an MS FFB Pro) about ten years ago and it's amazing to me that the industry still doesn't have its act together. I enjoyed that stick for quite a while, but I stopped using that stick many years ago when I went with a full HOTAS setup, which up until now had no vendors offering a FFB solution. I had high hopes for the G940, but so far they are not yet met. I do have to say that the stick does offer other features that are quite nice and which overcome the FFB deficiencies fairly well for me. I am also going to hold out for improved software as Logitech is providing some strong hints that future revs of their profile software is going to offer some big improvements. Hopefully, this will be enough to push this stick to a solid 5 star rating.

I received my G940 system on a Friday. It was packed up and sent back to amazon by Monday morning. While I was impressed with the look of the system, the software was cumbersome to say the least and the quality was much lower then what I had expected. After spending an hour setting it up and updating the software and firmware, I loaded up FSX to try it out. This is where the problems got worse. Not only was the force feedback horrible, but the key assignments I had set in the G940 profiler didnt seem to take effect. The next day I had a good friend, who is an airline pilot, try it out and give me his opinion. In short he was not impressed. The force feedback he said was nothing like in real life and the software was hard to use. After hearing that I put it back in it's box and processed a return. To conclude, maybe I just received a defective unit, but I was much more happy with my $20 Logitech joystick then with this almost $300 HOTAS setup.

I've gone through many other joysticks and the only one that can give me the feel of flying an aircraft or helicopter is the G940... Let's face it, there is no real fun without a force feedback device like this. I'm a real life pilot flying the Embraer 190 as a First Officer but before that (like all pilots) have to get the private and commercial licenses with the instruments and multi-engine ratings flying small airplanes like cessnas and pipers. The feel of small aircraft in FSX is close to the real thing (using FsForce2 add-on... the one default with FSX is not that great) in situations like the stall buffet, hardening of controls when flying at high speed, ground feel when taxing and on takeoff, touchdown, landing gear up and down, etc... Flying larger aircraft have a different feel that is simulated very well using this add-on too. When playing other games like IL-2, Wings of Prey, Rise of Flight, Strike Fighters 2 Israel/Vietnam/Europe and First Eagles 2 using a non force feedback joystick is BORING at times... but not with the G940... Now... talking about the features that this flight system has all I can say is wow... It has a lot of programmable buttons, hat switches and wheels... The feel when grabbing the joystick and throttle is great, it doesn't slip out of your hands like others... The profile manager is a must... First you have to clear all joystick association in the game (except axis) and then you build your game profile... Now with the new firmware (version 4.1 I think) and software (version 5.09) the feel and functionality have improved a lot.If you want the best of the best... If you want immersion... If you want to give new life to all your games... This is the product for you...

This product is a very well-built joystick. Many materials are made of metal instead of flimsy plastic, and finish quality is very good. I am using the rudder pedals on hardwood floors and have had no issues with slippage. I would have given this product 5 stars, but the programming for the buttons is overly complicated and relies more on trial and error than just setting your preferences and playing your game. I am currently using this to play MS Flight Sim X, with the intent to practice online radio chatter for my private license. I would consider myself very well versed in computer software and hardware, having built many computers and familiar with a lot of different genres of software and games. Programming the controller took just over an hour and is still a bit touchy. Otherwise, this product is great.

Logitech's G940 setup is, in my opinion, an outstanding setup. Anyone who's grown up with force feedback controllers understands that the current state of PC controllers is rather grim--since Microsoft's dropping of the Force Feedback line, and virtually all manufacturers of their counterparts to it, a sim-enthusiast's FF options are limited to less than a handful of models, not all of them particularly good. I used a Saitek Evo Force for a few years, until internal workings broke down and messed up the input signals. The G940, to my knowledge, is the only force feedback-equipped HOTAS setup, and it's worth recognition for that alone. The force is strong, and with sturdy construction, I don't have to worry about the stick falling over or anything like that. The throttle and rudder pedals are also quite good. However, while I could gush all day, I'm going to bring up my major complaints--minor ones for me personally, and not enough for it to cost a star in my review, but they may matter more to potential buyers- First, older games do not support multiple peripheral HOTAS setups. It's not limited to the G940, and there's really no way around it. If you want to play MechWarrior 4, you can, but don't expect to be able to use the throttle and rudder pedals unless you want to play around a LOT with Logitech's included software.- The eight LED-lit buttons, while capable of changing color, do not yet have software support to change color with their functions (say, to show that your gear is up or down). There's some work being done with this on the G940 forums. In any case, the setup is still outstanding when it comes to many more "hardcore" older simulations, and almost all modern games with controls you can change will support the three peripherals acting in unison. IL-2 Sturmovik: FB (and it's various spin-offs), Lock On: MAC, DCS: Black Shark, Arma II--they all work very well with the controller, but be prepared to spend a few hours tweaking with the controls if you're like me, looking for that sweet spot.I've had mine for more than a month now, and I've never had any mechanical problems. Occasionally, the joystick's FF motor can be heard "winding up", but that can be fixed simply by a light touch to the stick, and it's silent again. Like all FF controllers, it runs a bit warm. If you're looking for a HOTAS, this is a pretty excellent setup in my opinion.

Logitech is one step away from creating a great controller. All they would have to do is remove the Force Feedback, and substitute with a nice and adjustable spring system. They could use the savings to improve on some quality and usability features.I am sure that a lot of simulator fanatics like myself would not mind paying the same money for a simplified version of this stick. No more FFB motors, no more overheating and buzzing. A smaller power supply with an on/off switch, and detents for the trim controls would also be welcome.Sometimes less is more. They tried to cram too much for a certain price and as a result some features feel unfinished and even redundant.

Ever since I first booted up MS Flight Simulator 5, I dreamed of having a real flight sim setup. Now that I have one, I've booted up MS Flight Sim X again, and it feels like I'm playing it for the first time. If only Meigs Field were still around, sigh.Joystick:- Great build quality. Solid, heavy, attractive.- Like all the parts, it has hard points if you want to physically mount it to your desk or cockpit for ultra realism.- Trim. Most joysticks don't have trim controls, so this was a nice surprise.- All programmable buttons, which are nicely labeled and have an audible click when you press them.- The base is large enough to rest your arm on, yet still maintain control.- No "3D twist" like modern joysticks, though it's not really needed with rudder pedals, and is unrealistic anyway.- Two hat switches.- Force Feedback, something I hadn't used since the 90's, is welcome back. I missed it! It's adjustable as well, as everything seems to be with this setup.Throttle:- Nearly similar size to the joystick, a bit smaller.- All the buttons light up, and again, are completely programmable.- You can remove the caps for the buttons, allowing you to label them yourself.- Throttle splits so you can have independent controls, allowing you to control two engines. The lock is sturdy though, when you have them joined, there's no wiggling and you won't notice that they can split.- HAT switch, like on the joystick, an unexpected surprise.- Really more buttons (and on top of that, a mode shift which doubles all the buttons) than I'll ever use.Rudder:- Stainless steel footrests, with grooves for the arch of your foot. Fancy.- Adjustable tension, for those of you with strong legs, for sliding the pedals back and forth.- Underneath, carpet spikes! I don't have carpet but I thought it was a nice addition.- Toe breaks are great and work great.Overall I'm enjoying this setup, I've read reviews of the competition(CH and Saitek) and it sounds like they need to play a little catch-up. The force feedback (not available from CH), dual throttle (unique), and little extras like hard points, make this *the* top of the line setup.

Overall I found the G940 to be a good flight system and have been pleased so far. The joystick, throttle and pedals all feel solid and appear to be well built. They have large solid bases and so far have not moved around on me at all. The also have mounting points should you want secure them in place. The stick and throttle have a slight rubbery feel to them which is comfortable and provides a good grip. The software installed without a problem on my Vista 64 system and gets the job done for creating game profiles and configuring all the buttons. The joystick has force feedback and the default settings applied plenty of force. FF did seems to kick around more then I would have expected it to, but it also did match what was happening in Flight Simulator X. The motors can be a bit noisy at times for seemingly no reason. Nudging the stick stops it. The stick is comfortable but some of the buttons can be difficult to get to if you have smaller sized hands. I found the hat switch to be a little sensitive and had to adjust my dead zones a bit. There's also a sensor that detects when you are gripping the stick or not and adjusts the force feedback accordingly. I'm happy with the joystick, but I'm not sure I am sold on the force feedback yet.The throttle has a tension control and moves very smoothly. It's easy to detach/re-attach the dual throttle design. I wish the trim controls had some indent or other way of feeling the center point. The 8 lighted buttons work great and can be customized with your own labels. When supported they can change color to reflect the state of what they are controlling however there doesn't seem to be anyway of setting this in the Logitech software for games which do not support it however. Perhaps a future update will allow this. The pedals complete the flight system and really do impact the game experience . This is my first set of pedals so I have nothing to compare them to, but so far I have no complaints. The operate smoothly and feel good. The retractable rug grips are a nice touch. The Throttle and Pedals connect into the joystick so unfortunately you can not use them independently.

The Logitech Flight System G940 is a HOTAS system with rudder pedals included. I have been using it only with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, so my comments would pertain if you play that game. The three components of the system, the stick, throttle, and pedals all seem high quality. They all feel sturdy and hopefully would last for a while. The force feedback of the stick is quite strong; for someone who had never used a force-feedback stick before, it did take some getting used to.Now the big issue that I had: configuring the system on your PC, which is not a piece of cake. Make sure not to install the software from the CD as it most likely is out of date; get it from the Logitech website instead. I could not understand the button assignment software (Profiler) that Logitech provides; I ended up having to configure all the buttons within the game instead. The rudder pedals are also toe brakes (meaning you can pivot the pedals to engage the brakes). Out of the box, they were way too sensitive. I literally would just let my foot come in contact with the pedal and the brake engaged. Also, the throttle had a serious issue in that when I had the physical throttle at idle (0%), the computer would think it is at 25%. When I move the throttle to full power (100&), the computer interpreted it as 75%.This is a widespread issue as it's also posted on the Logitech support forum. Fortunately, someone there posted a solution to configure the "null zones" of the controllers under the sensitivities screen in Flight Simulator. It works almost perfectly...almost, because the throttle now seems to have gone from a 25-75% range now to a 2-98% range instead. Oh well, it's close at least.Bottom line, I would say that this flight system is a good one, with high-quality build for hardware. Software-wise, it requires tinkering. Once you spend the time to configure and fine-tune the controls, it is a great system. However I have to take off one star since it isn't purely plug 'n play. It would have been nice to just plug the system in and go!

This is great! This is my first set-up with rudder controls, so it's made re-learning flight basics a priority. But this makes you really ramp-up your game. I'm playing IL-2 and it's made the game anew. It's very different when you don't have to focus strictly on controller/keyboard combo as much. One complaint is that Logitech didn't make a profile for this sim, so we're left to a lot of HOTAS programming.

After pulling it out of the box, I cannot even fathom the price tag first of all. The hardware value you get when pulling it out of the box with the initial feel is no doubt less than $200 and I am being quite fair. So I disconnected all my Saitek equipment the proflight yoke, rudder, quadrant and X52 pro thinking this will easily at least replace the X52 pro. So I wanted to start from scratch to build this as my primary controller...... because I have been soooo eager to have a force feedback since MS Sidewinder for almost 10 years. And to have a HOTAS force feedback, I was totally excited. This thing is the biggest disappointment I have almost ever encountered with controllers and peripherals in my life, especially for Flight sims and primarily FSX and DCS Blackshark. I cannot even believe how cheap the motors feel and how pathetic the accuracy is for surface forces. I am Private and Instrument rated in real life to help justify my comments. There are a few good points: It is easy to setup, the new drivers as of mid Sept09 are good (home built machine top of the line Vista64) and overall it is a compact setup that gives you a lot of functionality and many customizable inputs. But the MAIN reason I bought it was for the FF HOTAS....which is what the sim industry totally and completely lacks and totally needs. I was soooo excited to then become completely and absolutely disappointed within the first 15 minutes that I am almost angry about it. After using and feeling and trying to understand why in the world Logitech would throw such an awesome chance to compete against Saitek out the window with the most pathetic, inaccurate, cheap, FF Motor is beyond me. The bottom line is, I had it in the box and ready to return within 1 hour. I just cannot believe we (the hard core simmmers) cannot simply get a DECENT FF HOTAS or FF Yoke in 2009-2010. I thought ok Logitech...they have the ability and funds and research and industry leadership to put something out there worthwhile....I was totally fooled. I am now hoping Saitek will PLEASE come out with a good FF HOTAS or Yoke.

I am replacing my Saitek X52 with this system. It was definitely not a plug-n-play, but if you take the time and follow the directions, it sets up very nice! I would recommend downloading the updated program from Logitech rather than using the enclosed setup-dvd...it's a newer version and has some previous bugs worked out of it according to their website. Assigning commands to all the buttons was a breeze with the setup program, and there's plenty of buttons to use, with a few to spare! For FSX users, read the installed PDF file for a few helpful hints on fixing some thing that FSX assigns as default settings (only take an extra 5 minutes to work it out). The hardware itself is well manufactured and sturdy, although the throttle seems a little "gritty" at first, after some time it's getting smoother. The rudder/brake pedals are very cool and the added "teeth" underneath are great for keeping it still on the carpet. The force-feedback is a little hard to get used to, coming from a system without it, but it's growing on me. Every once in a while, when the game is idle, the stick vibrates a little bit. If you touch it it stops...I've read about this from another reviewer. I like the ability to place labels under the buttons on the throttle so i can remember what button does what. I have heard a few gripes about not being able to see the new labels under the "P1" "P2" etc buttons...EASY FIX! When you take the button cover off, the "P1" labels pop out also with a little help from a small screwdriver or knife, making it much easier to see the new labels. Anyway, my first day impression is this, I LIKE IT! It has tons of features and buttons and makes flying a little more realistic now, even helicopters (another complaint I heard previously). If anything changes in the next week or so, I will update this post. Ferg

It is very hard to give an overall rating to the G940 because I think it is better with certain flight sim software than others. I liked all the features of the unit but returned it after 30 days. I have flown flight sims for many years and tested many, many settings to overcome the issues that persisted but to no avail. The main reason for the return was an overheating problem. It became very hot to the touch. This caused the heat sensor to drop the force feedback after about 45 minutes of flying. This is not acceptable. The overheating problem is documented by others in the Logitech forums but is not universal. The second issue was the rudder pedals. No matter what settings I gave it, when I needed to input a small amount of rudder I received a large jump in control output causing the plane to yaw about 400% further than I wanted. The joystick did have a large deadzone but settings did improve that quite a bit. Then Logitech came out with a firmware upgrade that improved the deadzone but I believe hurt the overall feel of the stick.I really wanted to like this system as it does have so much going for it but in the end it just was hurting my ability to fly. For purpose of using it with IL2, I would give the unit I had 1 star.

Works great with my Windows Vista Ultimate PC for IL-2 and Dogfights. Good feel and easy to set up for these products. Have not been able to get the system to work well with my MS Flight Simulator 3.Recommend this product. It is a bit bulky so I did have to make a table to use the G940 with a place to store the rudder pedals under.

The first thing you notice is the overall build quality. These three large, powder gray and black units are sturdy. It's a Porsche: Sexy and well built.I have never before experienced the extra "reality" that a force feedback joystick can provide. I have been skeptical. It's a little disconcerting at first but as I found myself getting used to it, much to my surprise I came to appreciate the extra sense that it subtly provides. Of course, if you crash, it's not so subtle as it shake, rattles and rolls in it's death throws. The motor is powerful. The throttle has nice movement and is easily adjustable for one or two engines. There are plenty of buttons for assignment too. Not to mention 3 trimwheels. Nice.I flat out love the pedals. As a user of both of the other models on the market, there is no comparison as to look, feel and build quality. Toe breaks work well. If I nitpick, my one issue would be that the throw is a little shorter, front to back, than what I'm used to. But when you think about it, the throw on the clutch of a Porsche is shorter than that of a Volkswagen too.Pros: Just about everything. Looks good, feels good, responds well in the tight situationsNitpick Cons: The joystick is the power master and the throttle & pedals plug into it using serial ports. The pedals should be the power master since it is the most universal component (use them in conjunction with other equipment when flying GA or Commercial Boeing) and is on the floor...closer to the electric outlet. But then again the force feedback probably warrants this. Also, what's with the db9 serial connections? In 2009-2010? Why not USB? Again maybe a power issue I don't understand but it seems odd.Overall, I am delighted and impressed with this system. Logitech hit a home run the first at bat with the G940 Flight system
