Not good for intensive gaming
I'm an avid gamer. I spend many hours of the day on my laptop and was really excited to buy this as it seemed so good. However, I need to lower the graphics to the lowest possible resolution and cap my FPS at 60 to even make some games playable without screen tearing. I can't play games and stream as it cannot handle anything like that. Some games cannot play even with the FPS capped. Had I known I would never have wasted my money. I can't tell you how disappointed I am with this and I don't have the money to waste on pc's. My friend bought an Acer predator, she has no issues at all. Spend your money there.

Next day delivery. Days late
Im not sure why I bother with being a prime member.
Every time I use Amazon to buy anything of importance the delivery is a complete failure.
But every time I buy a random silly object of no importance it arrives often earlier than expected.
Few days of work lost again from trusting the delivery dates on PRIME orders

This laptop does not work with Occulus VR.
I have had to return the laptop because it does not work with Occulus VR headset. The laptop specification is well above recommended requirement of Occulus but the laptop display port (with the 8k adapter) does not work. Great laptop if you do NOT want to connect the VR headset. I bought the RTX version, which at the moment is a great specification, still it did not work.

It's a great laptop for it's price range the screen is on the weaker side with fairly low viewing angle but a solid laptop overall.

Great value for money
The laptop works just flawless, bought and placed a 32 gb ram and it runs smoothly. I cannot even hear the cooling sound while playing games. No problems so far.

Not subtitle for work or uni student
I hate this laptop, you can not download onenote or outlook or any other microsoft app which we use in our everyday. It is getting sent straight back.

Great, But you live on a charger.
I love everything about this laptop.
I have 2 external NVME Drives + Cooling Pad, been working for months.
Though the Type C port seems to give out under high loads.
Wifi 6 works to about 700Mbps up and down, great for gaming! I was surprised.
The only bad thing I hate,
is the battery is more of a UPS style, you have about 2 hours under load with the battery.
You can extend the battery more if you enable two way graphics and disable the dedicated gpu and use cpu gpu instead, gives about 5 hours under basic work loading no gaming.

Value for money laptop
Nice, robust laptop. It does everything I need it to (web browsing, word documents). Battery lasts a long time, and it is quick to charge. The only negative aspect is the quality of the camera / video: The picture is very grainy, and I will have to buy a webcam to be able use Skype, Zoom etc for work, which is mainly why I invested in a laptop., which is a bit annoying!

Got used, love it.
The battery only lasts 3-4 hours but that's on par for a gaming laptop. Thin and sleek with a beautiful screen. For the price, can't beat it.

Unexpected light, resonable display, good battery life, good enough for student related tasks, recently upgraded to Windows 11 and it still works fine for the purpose.

Bad SD card!!
Had to return! Laptop had a problem with SD card would not work. I can under stand that, sometimes you get a bad product. The problem was the return with company I got it from. Lucky it was on Prime and Amazon was on the phone call with me and heard the BS I was getting. Amazon took the return over and everything came out good.

Webcam on bottom
I bought this laptop for VR gaming and it works like a charm. The only issue I've had with it is that I take online classes and the webcam is at the bottom of the screen which makes for some cumbersome angles when wanting to point it at my face. It mainly becomes a hand-cam. Other than that, it runs smoothly and I would recommend it for anyone looking to game at a decent price.

Discontinued Gem - Y540 Series Lenovo Legion
Seller - not sure how they were able to ship this from Delaware to Washington state in less than 2 days (and FREE), but Prime membership sure does pay for itself sometimes! KUDOS! Price was not THE lowest, but it was low enough, and Prime shipping would have it to me in 2 days at no cost. Turned out to be even faster than that, and didn't cost me overnight shipping either.
Product - this is a discontinued laptop series, replaced by the Y740 series with an Intel 10750H CPU (22% performance gain). I selected this particular model for the 512 Gb SSD + 1 TB HD, 16 Gb, RTX 2060 features vs. the other Y540 models available. My primary use for this laptop is for music production. It is replacing a micro desktop PC and a much older Dell Latitude E6450 series laptop.
Bottom Line - the laptop is capable of running all my music software and related hardware with ease. I recommend it; you get a lot of bang for the buck.
NOTE: The laptop arrived with Windows 10 Home Edition. I do not recall there being an option to select Pro or Home when I added the laptop to my cart and checked out; in my haste to buy the thing, I might have overlooked that detail. In any case, I hauled out my old Win10 Pro DVD and set to refreshing the version to Pro.
Technical detail - If you install Windows 10 with a version older than 1803, you WILL NOT be able to use the nVidia GPU because the driver installer for the RTX 2060 / 1660 Ti is not supported by versions older than 1803. You will see a Microsoft Basic Video Adapter device in Device Manager unless you enter the BIOS and enable the integrated Intel GPU as an alternate video adapter. After you have updated Windows 10 to 1803 or greater (20H2 is currently the latest major update), you'll be able to install the GeForce Experience & the Driver Installer.

NO 1TB HDD... Solid gaming laptop so its forgivable.
Runs Resident Evil 8 very well at high graphics, handles 3d modeling in blender extremely well. But where is that 1tb HDD listed in the title? Not a big deal as an external drive is relatively cheap, but I feel kind of shorted as the 500gb SSD fills fast..

This is better than other more expensive laptops that I have bought before.. even if the screen size is small it is still great for gaming.
Edit: The charger stopped working for no reason. I recently had to order a new charger for this laptop..

HDD not showing up
Why is my 1TB of HDD not showing up anywhere on the laptop? I bought this laptop with 512SSD and 1TB HDD. It’s a very good quality laptop but I’m leaving a bad review until this problem is solved.
