I have cars, motorcycles, and an RV, so I thought this would be the perfect battery tester. I does well for the car 12V batteries, haven't tried it on the motorcycle batteries yet, but found it to be semi-worthless for 6V RV House Batteries, thus the 3-star rating. I had one or some of my four RV house batteries fail. Went ahead and bought new replacements. These are 3-cell deep cycle 6V AGM batteries. Tested the old batteries and it was not obvious which if any were bad according to the Tester - even though I knew at least one had gone belly-up. Just for grins, I decided to test the brand new ones. They come fully charged. Kept getting Bad Cell readings on the brand new batteries. Bigger issue was that it was an intermittent reading. Same battery could be tested again within seconds and not give the same error. My Advice, if you want to be able to test Deep Cycle 6V RV Batteries, look for another tester.

Love the device, until I got to the check charging feature. I see how it is suppose to work on Youtube. Mine gave me idle voltage, asked me to accelerrate RPM for 5 secs, hit enter- and it flashes the screen for a mirco sec and goes back to the home page. The other reviews appear to have come out all on the same day- something smells fishy.
Got on the web page to see if there is firm ware update, and this model is not even listed. Come on guys- dont sell something that is not ready for market.
Update: I heard back from the company pretty quickly. (thats a plus). They told me to upgrade my software (they admitted to a bug). Software update was not listed for this model, tried it anyway, got an error that the unit was not able to communicate with there software. Waiting to hear back. So,in summary, the unit does not work as advertised, there is a bug in the firm ware of the unit, and there is a bug in the update software. I have spent about 6 hours on this- Ill give them a week to see if they can sort it. The unit seems to do what the others do with a better look, plus the wave form feature. If they can fix this, I would like to keep it.
Third Update, I started with one star for the reasons stated above. The company was pretty responsive, and finally told me the update software could be located on a different website than there initial email. I successfully updated the software, and I am now good to go. For the price point, this device is fantastic, with its wave form feature, it is in my opinion the best. It would be nice to have a longer cord (I would pay more for that option) but the cord is sufficient if you keep the unit under the hood. Very well thought out screen icons, and nice back lighting (compared to similar models)

Konnwei stood behind their warranty even though the 30 days past and replaced my product after it stopped turning on after one use. I haven't tried the replacement yet, but I'll let you know how it works. Thanks for making this right Konnwei. I appreciate it very much!

This is a nice device to have if you are a DYI is fixing your car. Checking the battery with a multimeter certainly can tell you if the battery is maintaining a 12.4 v charge or more but this does not tell you if the battery is able to have the starter crank the flywheel and in turn the driveshaft. The added measurement of CCA or cold cranking amps is critical to know and a simple multimeter will not give you that reading. Also this can immediately tell if the alternator is generating the expected 14. 4 volts or more as well although your multimeter can discern this so long as you know where to touch your leads. Still very handy before going out a buying a new battery which may not be the problem. Well worth having this tool in your collection of tools needed in general car repair.

I used this tester on 12v car batteries and it works great. Unfortunately, when I recently used it on a 6V motorcycle battery for my 1979 vintage Honda, it did not work despite being advertised for 12V and 6V batteries. I was surprised there is no listing in the battery database for the very common 6N5.5-1D battery and without an entry, the tester is useless. My inquiry to the factory resulted in guidance to just use a car battery setting. That didn't work either since car batteries do not allow for low amp rating batteries (<50A). A subsequent email to Konnwei is, to date, unanswered. While this is a really nice, easy to use product, I'm disappointed in it's inability to test 6V motorcyle batteries. Since I have multiple vintage bikes this is a serious deficiency and I hope the company takes this into consideration to expand their battery database.

Appears to do what it is supposed to do. I do not have another tester to compare it against, but have used it on both known good and know batteries and got the results I was expecting.

When It said for 6 and 12 Volt batteries I mistakenly though I could use this to test golf cart batteries etc. It will not, at least it will not give you any useful information. This wasn't all my fault in that the website and support for this company don't give you ANY information on the usefulness of this tester on a battery with an nonlisted CCA. So I made a bad assumption in that it would. So if you have a car battery with a listed CCA or a motorcycle battery with a model number that happens to be in their list then I guess the tester is OK. As to if the SOH reading from the test is accurate you would have to take the companies word for it, I don't have anyway of knowing. As for my 6 volt batteries I have no idea and this tester will not be helping I guess.

I got the Konnwei KW650 6v and 12v battery tester because I wanted to not just test 12v batteries but also test 6v batteries. Being able to also do a cranking and charging test was a bonus. Operation for the 12v car batteries is straight forward and all went well. I would give 5 stars for the 12v functionality.
Usage for testing motorcycle/6v batteries is not covered by the user manual. You need to select your battery type from a long list of very cryptic battery codes, none of which were on my battery. I ended up doing an internet search to find a list of these codes and then estimated which code might be closest to matching the specs for my battery. Because of this I give only 3 stars for usage with 6v batteries. Overall I give it 4 stars as most of my usage will be with 12v batteries.

In COVID times I am using my car less often and my 3-years old battery failed to strt the engine several times. So I decided to buy a tester to see whether it is a battery or may be charging system. After surfing through internet and youtube I found KW600 as the one with good reviews and was about to buy it when accidentally came across KW650, which sounded as upgraded version. I gave it a try and am not disappointed by my decision.
The KW650 along with 12V batteries supports 6 V ones, which is nice to have, it also has a designated button for voltage waveform - which I found very useful. Other than that it provides the same as KW600 functionality, which allows to test the batter (in vehicle/out of vehicle modes), shows voltage, state of health and internal battery resistance (which is the one which influences on the health of the battery), it also allows to do Cranking and Charging test which allows to identify possible cars issues. The device itself is well made and certainly worth its cost. And it is quite easy to use.

I'm impressed with this battery tester.
I did a system update first thing, that was pretty easy to do.
I tested 5 car batteries, 3 in vehicle and 2 out of vehicle. I also did an alternator and starter test on one car for kicks.
I tested the batteries on different days and the readings were almost the same. The temperature was 35 degrees at the time. Just for fun I cleaned the battery posts on one out of vehicle battery because they were tarnished. Before test the reading was replace the battery, after test battery was good. So I guess to get accurate readings make sure your battery cables and post are not corroded.
I just wish the battery tester could factor in battery temperature too. I will update review in warmer weather.
I give this 5 stars.

The information on the meter did not mention that it does not have its own battery. It relies on the battery you are testing for power. So if the test battery is dead the meter is not powered. I have not tried to print with it but I am not sure how that will work, without bringing a printer out to the vehicle since it loses power when you disconnect it from the battery under test.

Right out of the box I liked this meter. Easy to read, seamless firmware upgrade from the website, easy to use. So far I have checked my motorcycle battery, car batteries, and a few small batteries for a toy ride on car. I believe the readings are accurate. I compared the voltage against a fluke meter with like results. I believe the cca readings are correct just judging from the age and performance of the batteries I checked. You can tell a lot from the waveform function especially when cranking. I like the program for reviewing and printing but I probably won't use it. It would be good for a company or a repair person for tracking many pieces of equipment like I did in a past life. Overall I think this is a very good purchase and it sounds like from other reviews that there is good customer support and a 3 year warranty.

I liked the ease of use combined with broad range of applicability for all types of lead batteries including flooded lead acid (FLA - both standard & EFB), valve regulated lead acid (VRLA - both AGM & Gel) and flat plate & spiral. It provides an easy correlation of the most popular test standards: CCA, CA, MCA, BCI, SAE, IEC, EN, DIN and JIS. The internal resistance value can be used to track battery aging factor over time. The engine cranking and charging system feature takes the confusion out of starting system issues. It tests both 6 volt and 12 volt batteries and can even test 8 volt deep cycle batteries and 14 - 16 volt specialty batteries.

Just received the unit today and tested it out on my car. Hooked USB to do the setup, it's straight forward. Went through all the tests on my car battery with excellent results. My last battery didn't hold charge after 4-5 days if I wasn't driving around at all. Replaced it with new one and I also purchased a tender just to keep the battery charged and this thing to check everything else. The software update is quick and easy, just hold any key on the device while plugging the USB2 to computer, that will put device into update mode. Download the software to install and run, the software will take care the rest. I'm happy with this, it's good compliment to what I already had.

Этот инструмент считывает неисправную батарею как хорошую при хорошем заряде. Я купил это, так как оно выглядит как обновление моего ANCEL BA101. Это действительно выглядит красиво с цветным экраном и всем прочим, но неточно и ненадежно. Я даже не буду отдавать это, потому что не хочу, чтобы это давало кому-то ложное чувство безопасности из-за разряженной батареи. эта штука - хлам.

Я работаю в магазине смазочных материалов (замена масла) и занимаюсь ремонтом, это маленькое простое устройство улавливает больше, чем большинство более дорогих тестеров. Сейчас мы тестируем каждое транспортное средство с помощью этого, и если есть еще аномальные результаты, у нас есть больше инструментов, которые можно использовать при необходимости. Тест батареи очень хорош, сообщите клиентам, что их батарея может выйти из строя в будущем, или все в порядке. Тест генератора переменного тока очень хорошо выявляет неисправность диода кондиционера, для получения точных результатов убедитесь, что кондиционер и вентилятор ОВКВ выключены. Проверка проворачивания сохраняется в виде волны, а также результаты анализа данных, выявляющих неисправные кабели или сопротивление стартера.

Я хотел приобрести инструмент для проверки работоспособности аккумулятора моего грузовика, провел некоторые исследования и, наконец, решил приобрести Konnwei KW650. Этот тестер обладает несколькими дополнительными функциями начального уровня, но стоит не дороже, он также может тестировать зарядку аккумулятора и проворачивание, имеет цветной дисплей и функцию формы сигнала. Я смог обновить инструмент через USB и не испытал никаких сбоев. Он также может запоминать результаты предыдущих тестов, которые вы можете просмотреть, подключив USB. В целом, этот маленький инструмент великолепен, я бы хотел, чтобы сумка для хранения была немного больше, но после некоторых усилий в нее можно поместить все кабели.

В моей книге это профессиональный инструмент, у него много функций и он очень точный, протестировал 3 машины, и у одной была слабая батарея, и использовал этот инструмент, и сразу сказал мне об этом.

Когда ваше зарядное устройство сообщит, что ваша батарея заряжена, и покажет 13,2 вольта, это устройство сообщит мне, что батарея была заряжена на 13,2 вольта, но потребляла всего 92 ампера. Не удалось уловить это с помощью вольтметра или умного зарядного устройства.
