La càmara es muy buena en todos los aspectos, portable, la baterìa le dura bastante, la calidad de las fotos es excelente, pero tiene algo en contra, el video es a veces pobre en lo que se refiere a los colores.. se necesita estar con mucha luz para que se pueda ver bien el video y de paso cuando existe luz excesiva, se pueden notar manchas de colores como un arcoiris. Si no es por lo anterior le daria las cinco estrellas.

Got this last Black Friday for $79 and it's been in use since Christmas '08. At that cost this has been a good camera. You will get a lot of noise in low light environments if you let the camera make decisions for you, but, having very few manual controls means you have to trick the camera into providing the settings you really want. The camera will take some nice pictures but you have to work for it.

At current retail price, you'll probably be happier with an equally priced canon model, but for $80 it's pretty good.

Camera is small and fits nicely into a pocket. Battery life is good. Never used the software. Don't use the digital zoom. If image quality is your top priority then you should spend more for something with better optics and a few more manual controls.

Best use: outdoor/indoor with bright light. Casual shooting. Online video and photo sharing.

Let me preface this by saying that I have really enjoyed using my m1033 over the past months. The image quality is ok, the size is compact, and it's great having HD video capability in my pocket.

That being said, there is a serious flaw in the firmware that puts you at risk of losing picture and movie files stored on your SD card, particularly if you are a Mac user.

It should be noted that there are also some minor operational issues that myself and others have experienced, most commonly that of the camera locking up on occasion. This has happened to me perhaps 5-7 times over the past few months and is easily remidied by removing and replacing the battery. Another flaw is that now and then, a completed movie is unplayable on the camera, yet is playable on the Kodak HDTV dock or computer software such as VLC.

The BIG DANGER, though, is in utilizing a card reader (as many of us do) in order to transfer your pictures to your computer. On a Mac, the "Finder" (file browser) inserts many hidden files on your SD card, which you can see if you look at the card on a Windows computer or in the Terminal on Mac. These files evidently give the camera MAJOR problems when you insert it back in the camera. However, the problems do not seem to manifest themselves until you shoot a movie. I've had the camera corrupt every single picture and movie on the card through this design flaw. Another time, I got lucky and only about 70% of the files were corrupted.

This is a SERIOUS problem that Kodak needs to correct in a firmware update. My Kodak Z740 never had this problem.

As a workaround in the meantime, I highly reccommend using a free little utility called CleanUp smb mess, available at [...] . It removes all of the hidden files put on the card by your mac. I keep it in my dock and use it all the time! Once you drag your disk over it's icon and eject it, you won't have any problems with corrupt files. But, should you forget to do so as I have a few times, kiss those precious "Kodak moments" goodbye!!!

I bought this camera to take on vacation and was thrilled when it arrived. Not only is the small size perfect, but the camera has a bunch of options that make it easy to get a perfect picture every time. I also love that the battery charges in the camera, making it a snap to plug in whenever it is running low. HOWEVER, after owning this camera for about a month (and only using it a few times) I tried to take a video and realized that my camera is no longer making any sounds, let alone recording any. The Kodak support people were very helpful though and I'll be sending it in for repairs after my vacation.

I bought my camera in October 2008 and used it 3 times (Halloween, Christmas, this spring). It was on my shelf the majority of that time with no exposure to any elements. This Halloween I take it out and it didn't work. Out of warranty I contacted Kodak basically to be told that I'm SOL and that for $70 I could send the camera back to them to go toward a new Kodak product. I hope they enjoyed the $100 they got for this camera because they won't get any more of my money.

It came in good condition, very nice and I've had it since before Christmas and it's holding up very well. No problems out of it.

I had this camera 14 months and it worked great. One day last week it wouldn't turn on. All it did was pop the lens out and then right back in. I did some research and found this is a common problem with this model. Called Kodak and they told me to pound sand. Just a word to the wise. Avoid this camera...

Bought it for my daughter as a replacement for a Polaroid digital camera that started shutting itself off at random times. This one lasted for about two months, but now it is frozen in Smart Mode. No matter what we do when it comes on it will not allow for Mode selection. It takes pictures, but that's it.
Really disappointed in both Polaroid AND Kodak. Won't be buying any more of their products!!

Just a few quick comments, as you have so many to wade through!

The BATTERY ISSUE is clear-the manual states: "Lithium digital camera battery CRV3, rechargeable Lithium Ion battery, OR AA LITHIUM! No where does it indicate AA Alkaline-they will barely power this camera, So, if you are installing AA Alkaline, and it powers up, you'll get 5 minutes. Rechargeable AA Ni-MH batteries, won't even boot the device. So, the catch phrase is LITHIUM, NOT Alkaline.

I purchased my Z812 IS refurbished,($141.00, like brand new,)and it works flawlessly with AA LITHIUM batteries. I've taken about 100 pix and have been exploring the menu system, and not a hint of the dreaded battery gauge on screen. (I'm waiting for my rechargeable to arrive.)

This camera does many things well and offers excellent pix at pretty much any setting. I am particularly impressed with the stabilization and auto focus at full zoom. Well done!

I'm still familiarizing myself with it, but wanted to clarify the battery situation for those who may not seek this camera for that reason. At the prices now, it's a must buy for those looking for image quality and loads of features in an Ultra-Zoom (Not to mention, HD pix and Video) for minimum cash outlay.

This is the second kodak digial camera I have owned. Purchased this one in January and it already is 'acting up'. The first one worked for a year and a half and just quit without warning! I used to really recommend this camera, but won't anymore and neither will the others I've suggested it to. The lens must be extremely sensitive as sometimes it comes out for a picture and other times it shuts off. I won't buy another one like this. I depend on my camera for pictures of girls, I don't have time to worry if this will 'decide' to work today. The warranty is bogus. But the time you pay for the warranty, send it in, you could buy another one. I guess things are made to be disposible! Frustrating! I think we had only one camera the entire time I was growing up - it was a Pentex - so I will look at that next time!

This camera is awful. It constantly jams in the open position and Kodak's advise is to remove and reinsert the battery. Sometime this camera won't open and then you have to plug it into the charger even though it's fully charged. Pictures are grainy. Camera is a piece of junk and I will never buy another Kodak camera again.

As to Beach Camera where I bought it from - when I called them they understood my concern and issued a return authorization number. My refund was processed swiftly and accuratly. I would buy from Beach Camera again - just not any Kodak product

I pre-ordered this camera and was so excited to receive it! I already own a Kodak easyshare Z612 which takes beautiful, high detail photos at only 6 MP, but I was looking for a more "pocketable" camera because the sheer size of the z612 keeps me from taking my camera with me and taking as many photos as I'd like. So, I went with the M1063 because of it's slim design, it's array of features (scene selection, HD, etc.), upgrade in MP's, and it's PINK!

When it finally arrived, I immediately started snapping away...only to find that on the on-camera screen, the pictures didn't look very sharp at all. In fact, many of them looked grainy...some looked dark (as if I hadn't used a flash)...and unfocused. I also noticed that the "face detection" technology never really seemed to pick up any of the faces I was trying to take pictures of! I thought maybe it was just the little screen and things would look better on my monitor, but once I uploaded them to my computer, they only looked worse. Magnified to 100% and you can really see how unfocused and grainy the pictures really are! Now if 6 MP was detailed, I certainly expected 10.3 MP to be SHARP...but I find that these photos are LESS DETAILED than my 6 MP photos! Take a picture of my cat with the z612, and you can see each individual hair...use this camera, and it's just a confusion of black and white fur. The only photos that seem to come out decent are ones taken within an arms length; beyond that, it's a mess.

If it weren't for the mere fact that you can enlarge these past 4 X 6, I'd say I can take better photos with my iphone. Sigh.

It's a pretty camera and has nice features, but it simply doesn't deliver on the Kodak quality I've come to expect. I'm going to be returning it.

This is my second Kodak Camera ever owned and I can honestly say I'm very satisfied. I've tried other brands but they alway get returned for a Kodak. The V1073 just like any other Kodak camera is very user friendly. The pictures come out flawless. One of the things I love about Kodak cameras are there fast shutter speed. You will never miss a moment with this camera. The only small flaw is that the screen is alittle more difficult to see in daylight than other cameras I've owned. But the pics still came out beautifully and really all cameras have that issue on a extra sunny day. The touch screen is just an extra bonus. Not really needed but a cool feature to have. Overall very satisfied!

Nice size. The picture quality is good esp for close up shots, but occasionally pictures come out blurry and I try to retake them and they're still blurry. The battery runs out too frequently and there's not enough warning that it's getting low so the camera just freezes up until it is plugged in. I do like the push button "on" instead of the dial. I tried to e-mail a picture from the camera but it didn't work and the instruction manual is pretty worthless because it just shows you where the menus are but not how to use the special features or any troubleshooting.

Overall, this is a good little camera. It looks sleek and stylish and photos come out well. The only thing is that there is some lag when capturing fast shots. I've missed several photo opportunities due to this. Other than that, I've loved the camera and it is easy to use.

This camera is one of the best cameras i've ever have. The picture quality is really good and also the HD video feature is awsome.

We really preferred the Fuji we had before. This camera is difficult to see the image in daylight and difficult to download to computer.

I owned a Kodak Easyshare for years and was pretty happy with it except for the docking system. I felt good enough about Kodak to try out this camera for my next upgrade.

Within 1 week the first camera stopped turning on even when fully charged so we returned it. The second camera worked for about 1 month. During that time we took the family for the first time to a memorable trip back east to historic places like Washington DC. Upon return home we found out that about 70% of the pictures turned out blurry. This will be my last Kodak purchase.

I bought it and began installing the software. It showed a message , you need small font. Well, I cant use small fonts. Well done Kodak

This camera is very nice in size and use. The camera card is easy to insert and remove. The camera has all the functions I need and it also helps me center my photo's. It is small enough to fit in my pocket.

I couldn't get service at Wal-Mart to buy this camera. Amazon had it to me in two days. And at a price I could live with.

Amazon always have the solution for all hard to find items at cheap price, Much cheaper than Kodak, Car adapter makes it easy to keep it charged at all times.

After shopping cameras for a while I decided to veer away from the feature heavy "premier" brands I've purchased in the past and go for one that does exactly what I need it to do: Point and shoot fast, with minimal tinkering, for great shots in a small form factor. This Kodak does it. The auto scene selection in particular is impressive. You can choose the scenes manually, but taking shots in auto select mode always turns out really good pictures. The camera is small enough for me to carry in my front pockets and remain barely noticible. Power on and ready to snap is less than two seconds, the screen is spacious, and the firmware is logical and easy to navigate. If you are heavy into the world of digital photography you probably shouldn't even be looking at this camera but if you are looking for something quick, easy and quality this might be the camera that ends your search.

I find the ghost in every digital product i touch EXCEPT for THIS one! Love it---So easy to use---hard to misuse!

I purchased this Kodak camera in February and was able to take it on one vacation. By early April, it was defunct. The camera would turn on but would not stay on even with the battery fully charged. Upon taking it to the repair shop I learned that it would cost more to have the camera fixed than I paid for it originally so I gave up on it. I also noticed in trying to upload the photos from the camera to my computer that approximately 20% of the photos simply wouldn't transfer. I ended up having to use a card reader to extract them. I had issues with the Kodak Easy Share Software causing my computer to freeze up and once the camera quit working, I vowed I would never purchase another Kodak digital camera. I never dropped or mistreated the camera in any way so I am still unsure why it died. Needless to say, I would recommend spending a bit more money for a nicer camera. I recently purchased a new one of a different brand and have been much happier with it.
