- + Размеры, скорость работы, качество картинки, простота настройки.
- - Не работает по сети.
Покупали для сканирования архива. Задача - сканирование большого объема бумаги в сетевую шару. Консультант в каком то офисном магазине, к сожалению не вспомню каком, сказал что такой режим возможен. Однако, нет. Порт ethernet в нем для красоты и чтобы была возможность настроить ip-адрес. Сканер, несмотря на стоимость, бесполезен без подключения "по usb к управляющему компьютеру".

- + Очень быстро работает (60 стр/мин), исправляет перекос бумаги при сканировании, расспознание текста с бумажного носителя перенос в вордовский документ, драйвер TWAIN позволит использовать устройство в любых программах
- - по сравнению с планшетными устройствами, з а 24тр (выглядят как пинал школьный), этото устройство занимает место не большого настольного принтера, надо подумать...

Долго искал сканер для документа оборота . Главным критерием был возможность сканирования документов разного размера и формата в автоматическом режиме . Хочется сказать , что не так просто найти сканер с такими возможностями !
Сканирование быстрое. Отличный экран на котором видно сколько документов отсканировано, на нем же можно выбрать куда они уйдут . Можно сделать готовые наборы , т.е. задать несколько адресов почты , сетевой диск и еще какой нибудь сервис . Или в ручную отметив все что не обходимо , нажать на скан и так же все дойдет куда надо :)
Один недостаток который меня как то даже немного удивил - это...

- + - сканирует 30-32 страницы в минуту при 300 dpi, цвет 48 бит. Не успеваешь подавать новые и убирать отсканированные :)
- сразу сохраняет всё в pdf. Я сканировал всё в большой файл, потом сохранял по отдельности (по 5-10 страниц)
- сканирует с двух сторон (это уже 60 сканов в минуту!)
- сам определяет, что пролезло два листочка, останавливает сканирование
- автоматически разворачивает страницу (портрет - альбом) - это круть!
- пропускает пустые страницы (параметр настраивается) - тоже здорово.
- сканировали по 6-8 часов в день с нагрузкой больше указанных производителем 3000 в день. Сканер...

- + Сканирует очень шустро. Удобные кнопки выбора режима на панели.
- - Софт корявый. Периодически отваливаются или настройки или кнопки на передней панели. Т.е. сканер просто перестает на них реагировать. Лечится переустановкой софта. Дрова древние...

- + Если сканирует без зажевывания бумаги, то достаточно быстро!
- - Очень капризная техника!!! Стирается резинка приема документа, из-за этого начинает зажевывать каждый лист!

I have purchased the Kodak i2600 scanner from Amazon, and within 100 days I have scanned more than 300,000 sheets (more than 600,000 double-sided pages). Thus I have finished digitizing most of the documents accumulated during the last 32 years, and I have attained my goal. This instrument has the right combination of 1) durability, 2) high-performance, and 3) user-friendliness. The 3 year warranty is impressive because this machine is rated for the capability to scan up to 4,000 sheets per day.For the record, my comments below are only for the Smart Touch software that is part of the installation CD. In the same package there is an additional CD with more advanced Kodak editing software, but since my goal was to scan everything directly as PDF files, I have been using only the Smart Touch software. In Windows 7, the Smart Touch software gets launched from the lower right side of the taskbar, and since the i2600 scanner can be controlled from software, there is no reason to use any of the buttons on the scanner, except the power button.PERFORMANCE STATISTICS: The scanning and processing speeds seem to depend not only on the scanner but also on the computer that is controlling the data traffic. I have verified that in the Black and White or Grey Scale modes, when the resolution is set to 300 dots per inch, the Kodak i2600 scanner scans approximately 50 sheets or 100 double-sided pages per minute when I am using a relatively new computer like the quad-core Intel Windows 7 computers with 4 GB memory. (This was by using with the Kodak Smart Touch software that is in the installation CD.) Separately, I have also tested the Kodak i2600 with a faster computer that I have personally built from the following components: 6-core AMD Phenom-II CPU that uses an ASUS motherboard with the newer USB-3 ports, a 10,000 rpm hard drive and Windows 7 Ultimate edition, and for this computer in many cases the scanning speed for Black and White or Grey Scale at 300 dpi resolution was close to 60 sheets (120 double-sided pages) per minute, which is significantly faster. On the other hand, in very old computers with limited memory and slower USB ports, the scanning speed can be slow. The PDF file compression is very good: when you use the Smart Touch software in the Black and White mode at 300 dots per inch, a 500 page PDF file is often smaller than 30 MB for the average font size and density. But if you scan in the gray scale or color mode the PDF files are much bigger than black and white mode. The black and white PDF files at 300 dpi resolution are very readable even though gray scale mode definitely looks better, but for my purposes I have scanned the great majority of my documents in black and white mode instead of gray scale because I wanted to save space, only for the portions of documents that contain photos I have used gray scale or color. Thanks to the excellent data compression for the black and white mode at 300 dpi resolution, the grand total of more than 600,000 pages in my new PDF files now take less than 25 GB memory on my portable flash drives or portable hard drives. Scientific diagrams, graphs etc, can be scanned in the black and white mode without any loss of readability when 300 dpi resolution is used: as long as the resolution is not set below 300 dots per inch, only photos significantly lose quality when scanned in the black and white mode,and in the latter case gray scale or color must be used. For resolutions higher than 300 dpi the scanning speed is much slower even in the black and white mode. After the last page of the document is scanned, the Smart Touch software processes the scanned data into a PDF file. As long as you are creating regular PDF files, the processing is very fast: The processing of a regular PDF after a 500 page document has already been scanned in the black and white mode at 300 dpi resolution, is often taking less than a minute in a reasonably fast/new computer (a few pages take only one or two seconds to process into a PDF file after they are scanned). But if you configure the Smart Touch software to create a "searchable" PDF file, then the processing of the PDF file takes a long time because there are a lot of complicated calculations to create such a PDF file.SOFTWARE COMPATIBILITY: The version of Kodak i2600 scanner software that I have received in the installation CD was 1.5.3. And there is also the Kodak Smart Touch software (the one you would normally launch) that is simultaneously installed when you use the installation CD. This works very well in my Intel Windows 7 computer, and the software never crashed in the Intel computer, but when I used the same Kodak Smart Touch software with the more unconventional computer with the AMD Phenom-II CPU which uses an Asus motherboard with different drivers (the home-made computer that I have mentioned above), in some rare instances the software of Kodak i2600 did crash. The Kodak i2400 and its A4 flatbed are attached to a Dell M4500 laptop Windows 7 64 computer. Both i2400 and A4 flatbed work great.OPERATION: Excellent. I use the i2400 to scan single-sided 8.5"x11" color and black & white documents to searchable PDF format for my business. They work perfectly. There are i2xxx-series Kodak scanners with more features and capacity, the i2400 seems to be the basic i2xxx-series unit and it is the least expensive.I have low volume, but need a scanner that scans to searchable PDF format directly and easily. The i2400 produces the searchable PDF file automatically when the start-scan button is pushed.Searchable PDF is a PDF format that I use for two purposes not available in a regular PDF document without the additional step of OCR conversion or retyping the PDF document.First, I often need to quote a paragraph from a scanned PDF document in a report or email I write to a client. A searchable PDF document allows me to select, copy, and paste PDF text.Second, as the name states, a searchable PDF then becomes indexable on my Windows computer and when I use Windows or some other computer-search program to find documents containing a particular word, the searchable PDF documents containing that word are also found in the search along with all other files such as Word, or WordPerfect documents, etc.The i2400 has 9 scan profiles that can be set and reconfigured -- such as for different formats, color or B&W, file destination (nice feature), preview, and quality of scan.The i2400 tilts for use and then tilts back when not in use. At first I thought this was a needless feature, but now use it all the time to save space on my crowded desk. The i2400 is very compact.Scanning with the i2400 is done by loading the documents and then selecting one of the 9 scanning profiles (LED numbers 1-9), and then pushing the start-scan button on the i2400.The i2400 scan specs say it scans up to 30 pages per minute. I have not timed how fast my black & white documents scan, but it is very fast and seems like it must be 30 pages a minute, very impressive. With high-quality color as an option it seems the i2400 scan speed is about 50% of the BW, but still very fast for my uses.The A4 flatbed is also used for low volume, and its scan is much slower than the 12400, but I use the A4 flatbed 99% for scanning parts of books for quoting (with proper attribution) in other documents and reports. The one picture I scanned needed to be at very high resolution and it came out perfectly. The A4 scans 8.5"x 11" documents. The A4 measures 11.2" x 18.7," not the largest flatbed, but it takes up a lot of space.Scanning with the A4 flatbed is done by placing a document onto the flatbed and then opening the Tray Kodak icon on the computer and clicking one of the 9 scanning profiles from the drop-down window.KODAK SERVICE: Perfect and fast.When the i2400 arrived it did not work, I deal with many support departments for my equipment and software, and expected that I would talk with several Kodak warranty screeners or departments on my way to getting the problem resolved. I easily found the Kodak warranty telephone number. I made a single 5-minute call and the replacement arrived a couple of days later. I could be wrong, but I think I only talked with the Kodak warranty person who answered the phone, if not, I was transferred immediately to the person who determined the i2400 needed to be replaced.Today, after a month of using the i2400 and A4 flatbed, I called the general Kodak Tech support desk when I could not determine how to set the A4 flatbed to work seamlessly with the i2400. I talked with a knowledgeable screener and the tech rep who walked me through the set up options. The screener told the tech rep why I was calling and so he already knew my problem when I began talking with him. He walked me through the change of setting mentioned below.Both the warranty department and Tech Support folks are some of the best I have encountered.DISLIKES: The i2400 is black and the A4 is cream-colored. Kodak's products would look better sitting next to each other if they were both the same color. I like the cream-color.The documentation could be better on how to set the A4 to work with the i2400. The Paper Source needs to be set to Automatic because when the A4 Flatbed is used there is no paper in the i2400. The fix is: Right-click Kodak Tray Icon > Configure > Settings > Settings (yes again) > Device > Paper Source > Automatic (this is where the setting is changed to Automatic).SUMMARY:The i2400 and A4 flatbed scanner work fast and perfectly for scanning 8.5"x 11" black & white and color documents automatically into searchable PDF documents for my business on my Windows 7 64 Dell computer. The i2400 has a full range of settings and options such as picture scanning, but I use it for office-document scanning.I bought the Kodak after I could not get my HP 5590 scanner to work with my Dell M4500 Windows 7 64 computer and

Purchased this scanner to replace an aging Visioneer scanner that I used for the office. The Visioneer has a 1000 page daily duty cycle, so I figure that Kodak's 4000 pages is a good size upgrade. Compared to the Visioneer Strobe XP450, this one is a night and day difference... It had better be, knowing the price is about 50% more. Scanner scans papers super fast... 150dpi color pdf takes about two seconds.Of the hardware features, I found one that is slightly lacking - The feeder is advertised as 75 pages. This part is true, but the holder at the bottom that holds the scanned paper, holds maybe half as much. When putting 50 pages in to scan at the same time, it drops the papers neatly into the tray at first, but once the scanned papers start stacking up, the scanned paper, as it comes out of the scanner, will start pushing the stack of paper all over the place, causing a huge mess... In another words, if you plan walk away after starting a 75 page scan job, you'll come back to a floor full of paper.I felt that the software interface needed improvement. Even though the scanner has pretty good default settings, I still needed to tweak a few things to optimize the scans. I have a pretty strong computer/IT background, and it still took me quite a big of time to adjust the settings before everything was perfect. The interface was not as good as Visioneer's OneTouch, there are settings hidden within multiple layers menus that you'll have to look for.There was one problem I encountered that almost caused me to return the scanner to Amazon. When I first started scanning papers, I noticed that the computer would spend quite a bit of time processing the scanned docs. For example... if it takes 30 seconds to scan 15 pages, computer requires 30 seconds more to process and safe the PDF's. I called over to tech support, clearly stated the problem, but they were unable to help me.. Just read off the script... "have you reinstalled software. have you installed all the software, etc." I was pretty pissed off... in fact, I had started to pack the scanner up before I decided to give it one more shot.I saw that the scan setting was on "PDF Searchable" so without thinking much about it, i changed it to "PDF" and scanned some paper. Luckily, this did the trick.... 30 seconds dropped down to about 2 seconds. Kodak, you are so lucky. I almost returned the scanner and bought another brand. Instead of convincing me to reinstall the software, I think your tech should be trained about different scan settings, which ones will take a lot of processing, which ones will scan fast.Overall, with my many years of IT experience, it still took me about 2 hrs to get this up and running to a point where I can scan the thousands of pages in each month. Overall, I recommend the scanner. But hope Kodak can improve upon the bottom tray in future product releases.

I bought this scanner a couple of years ago, and I agree with the other reviewers that it is a solid workhorse. However, a couple of weeks ago my computer had to be reformatted and I needed to reload the software and drivers. I called Kodak to get help...without any exaggeration, I spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone and the chat lines being transferred around the company and no one could help me. For neither love nor money could I repurchase the bundled software that comes with the scanner. In fact, I was told over and over that there is no technical support offered for this scanner. I have a hard time believing that they don't have any support for this product, but I did even resort to calling the US Headquarters in New York, and they also could not offer any advice. If you have the same issue, I can tell you that I found a few websites that offer free downloads of the Capture Desktop Software Version 1.3 I am a bit leery of downloading anything onto my computer from an unknown site, but I might have to resort to desperate measures. This is all to say, yes, the machine works well, but because there is no support available the i2400 could become a large brick if something goes wrong that you can't fix yourself. Spend the additional $200 and buy the Fujitsu because they do have technical support and you wont be sick when your scanner has to be tossed in the trash because no one at Kodak can offer you any help.

This scanner has been one of the most frustrating installations I've ever experienced. I'm a computer administrator, so this is no dummy issue. The scanner initially installed OK, but after a few days it suddenly stopped working and refused to scan. When I called Tech Support (receptionist: rude, condescending, impatient) they insisted that the software cannot be installed while AntiVirus software exists on the PC. They would not help me unless I uninstalled the software, uninstalled antivirus, and started over. When this did not fix the problem they suggested that I try another PC or reformat the PC I was using. Again, they would not help me until I did what they wanted. It did in fact cause the scanner to funtion. So make sure that in a world with tons of malware everywhere, that you have no AntiVirus software installed so that your scanner will work.Then my boss purchased the flatbed accessory. When you push the "scan" button on the flatbed, that does not cause the software to scan from the flatbed. No. It causes it to scan from whatever preconfigured setting you have chosen from the main scanner. And when you go in to configure the preconfigured settings, there is no way to get some of them to use the flatbed and others to use the feeder. So you're forced to have the software display the settings every time you scan something so that you can click two-deep into the menu structure to select the device that you want to use.And so far, nothing I have scanned from the flatbed has successfully formatted and saved as a file. It just gets an error and stops until you give up and click "close"This scanner is extremely fast and does a pretty good job, if only I could get it function in a normal business environment. It was expensive enough that I imagine I'll be banging my head against the wall trying to get it to function for years to come.

We are a very small business and $700 for a scanner is a hefty chunk of change. The Kodak i1210 has a great page per minute ratio, and seemed like a wise investment for the large scanning project we had coming up. We thought, with a strong brand name and a A-Z Amazon guarantee, buying online instead of from a place like Best Buy seemed like a safe buy.Well, sometimes the Fates are cruel. We received the i1210 and weren't ready to start our scanning job for a month and a half, but then, we began running tests to check software compatibility. I ran about 70 pages through, TOTAL over the course of 2 weeks before the machine flashed us an E7 error message, which the manual indicates is: total scanner failure.I attempted to exchange it with the vendor, ANTOnline. When we didn't get feedback fast enough, we had to purchase another scanner to begin the scan job. Amazon A-Z rejected our appeal for a return because with ANTOnline's policy, you have 30 days from the date of order placement (REGARDLESS of when you take delivery of the product). Even had I used it the minute I got it, there would have been no way for me to know it would stop working before the 30 day window was closed. So, in a nutshell, we basically bought a $700 Kodak paperweight from ANTOnline. ANTOnline will neither offer us a refund nor did they offer to exchange the product. And regardless, we needed the job done, so we had to buy another machine right away.I guess Amazon will not do anything to back up buyer confidence in their services. This is a clear case of a defective machine. Go to Best Buy or Office Depot, they will follow through when you buy a crappy product. ANTOnline, we will not purchase from you again. This scanner is garbage and Kodak has discontinued it and replaced it with another model.Good luck scanner shopping.

Originally purchased a Kodak i2400 scanner and bought the Capture PRO software to go with it so we could auto index our scans with the barcodes on the sheets. Decided to upgrade to the i1405 so we could handle documents up to 11x17 (A3) in the feed tray. This was a significant jump in price (4x) but 45 PPM vs. a flatbed would have been worth it. Received the scanner, set it up and tried to scan my first batch using the Kodak Capture PRO software. Got an error message saying that my software license does not support this scanner.Come to find out that Kodak has a sliding scale for licensing this software. Which is to say, the more expensive the scanner you buy, the more you have to pay to license the software! Buy a $600 scanner, pay $500 for the software. Buy a $2500 scanner, pay $1500 for the software. Same software. Only deploying to a single scanner. 3x the price.So there's nothing wrong the scanner - it's just the licensing policies of Kodak that I refuse to support.

It doesn't have any option to skip blank pages, so if you're scanning 1-sided documents along with your 2-sided documents be prepared to spend a lot of time deleting the blank pages manually.Very slow compared to our Fujitsu scanners, and their support is not too helpful either.

This is the perfect machine to have issues with. It was hard to set up and understand. Then started jamming every 5 pages. Do not buy and do not let techs tell you it's a great machine, b/c it's not.

I have an older 1210 model and the 2600 series is way faster and better. The only drawback is the tray size is a bit small for the price which is why i am not giving 5 stars.

EXTREMELY FAST scanning - a double-sided document in 1 second! Blink ... it's done!! Your document goes through it like a taco from Taco Bell goes through your body ...immediately! Hell, just throw the taco in the toilet right after you buy it bc that's where it will end up in 5 minutes. Sorry for digressing. As for the flaw, we did notice that it failed to save certain documents at times (couldn't figure out why; it wasn't a certain style or color or something specific to that document or photo). And then one time, it suddenly failed to scan. Had to reinstall the software and driver. For the most part, it ran like a champ ... blazing speed ... side by side with Michael Duane Johnson!!

We set this scanner up in no time and everyone on the office network was using it right away and commenting on how fast it works...someone even nicknamed it "Speedy".This is our 3rd Kodak document scanner (mostly scanning to .pdf format) and these machines have been workhorses. Each time we add a newer version to the network it is much faster than the previous generation. Our scanner from 3 generations ago is still working in a small workgroup. Would highly recommend.

Just received our scanner. Will be using it to scan prescriptions to keep a digital copy on file in our shop.After the first initial hour of use I can only say the following:1. Installation was EASY2. The device is very compact, I love it! Who would even think it performs the way it does being so small.3. This scanner scans like it's on steriods (in a good way)! It's very FAST. Almost too fast, sheets can get a little "cluttered" from time to time. But honestly I do not care, I might need to get the hang of it also.4. From what I noticed so far scan quality is pretty good to (only done color pdfs). I have it on the lowest setting to preserve some hard disc space and they still come out very good.In due time I will try and update this review, but from what I've seen so far. BIG WINNER! Thanks Kodak.
