I deliberated on these for a few weeks and I'm pleased with my purchase for several reasons. I'm not an expert in music by any means and I don't really understand what everyone comments on in their posts.Here's what I was looking for:1. Noise isolation (I previously used Etymotic er6i - expensive but free from a friend). I love this feature since I can play my music without it blasting and still filter out other people's conversations, which are for the most part, stupid and annoying. I use these on the train to avoid listening to other people on their cell phones.2. I wanted my music to sound full and not too "tin-y" - these are fine in that respect3. I was tired of the cord always tangling on my old set. This cord tangles a lot less and if it does tangle, it's remedied fairly quickly.4. I wanted a set that didn't have the cord bouncing creating noise during running. The cord is heavy enough that it doesn't bounce and create that annoying additional sound.5. I wanted a pair that fit well. This set comes with a variety of tips so that you can get a good fit. My ears are really small and the stock tips were so comfortable that I haven't changed them.6. Lastly, I have been really into the color red lately and these are really cool-looking in person. I bought a JBUDS case to keep them safe and in case you're wondering the Etymotic wires wore out since I wrapped them around my player. I unplug these every time and keep them in the JBUDS case along with my red 16GB Sony MP3 player.Additionally, these have a two year warranty. If you're looking for similar features, these are a very good set. I feel like the value exceeded the price, and I'm happy these were affordable.

didnt buy these from amazon. but they sound pretty good and durable, i accidentally left them in my shorts pocket where they got a run through the washer(hot)and the dryer for 45 mins.max level, and not a thing wrong with them sound exactely the same and in good condition. have had them over a year and use them everyday. im sold on klipsch buds for life. so i think there good enough for you, so stop lookin and just by them.lol

Got this for the good value and it didn't disappointing. It is/was much cheaper than the S4i but the only difference (aside from colour) is it has less buttons.As for the earphones them selves, they sound really good but will require burn-in as with most speakers. The mic is ok too. I find these to be fairly comfortable. It also comes with quite a few accessories: extra tips, headset splitter and a small case.The only complaint is the wires; they're typical ear/headphone wires that tangle easily.

In general I'm not a fan of in-ear headphones. My experience with them, like Bose products, has been miserable. Throw in the cheap price and you often set yourself up for a complete dissapointment. While the sound of these aren't in the class of the BeyerDynamic DT990 Pro or Grado SR60i headphones I own, they're quite impressive for the price (you can often find them for forty bucks or less; I picked them up from Circuit City for thirty-five).They're great for casual listening, especially if you want to isolate most outside noise (like on an airplane ride). They also work well when used with an iPhone as replacements for the pathetic excuse for earphones Apple provides (they do double duty as phone earphones since these have a mic in them). The sound quality is a bit bass shy but they're comfortable, have nice mid-range and highs are not shrill. I was quite surprised at how nice they sounded and the included array of silicone earpieces makes it easy to find a nice fit. The design also minimizes wax build-up in the phones themselves (just be sure to check them every so often for wax, pop the silicone pieces off to clean and replace).Klipsch has a winner with this product. They put to shame a lot of earphones I've tried that are 2-3x the price.

I was looking for a solid set of earbuds with well-rated sound. I'm no audiophile, but I do spend a lot of my day listening to music. The sound is crystal clear through these. I bought them after I read that the guts are basically identical to the highly-rated Klipsch s4i earbuds, but without the phone/ipod specific controls. I just needed something that sounds great and has a mic for hands-free conversations in the car, etc. These fit the bill wonderfully!The one unfortunate aspect is that they don't fit me all that well. I tried several different of the earbud insert sizes, but none are quite right. Thankfully, this just means I need to take a break every hour or two, which is honestly probably good for my eardrums anyway. In any case, this is a very personal part of this so take it as such. I've had earbuds that fit great and others that don't and haven't noticed any discernable pattern to all that...Buy them if they're cheaper than the s4is (I got mine for $30), otherwise, probably just go with those.

What I was LOOKING for in this product was high quality output when listening to music and to double as a Skype headset on my smartphone as well as on the PC.The Good:It's nice that they include 4 options of rubber inserts for the earbuds - I was able to find a comfortable set. They felt pretty secure in my ears, and seal up such that outside noise seems well blocked. The included headphone/mic splitter cable and carrying case were also essential accessories.The Bad:The bottom line for me was the sound quality. Yes, they are crisp. However, they sound very tinny. As other reviewers have mentioned, the bass reproduction is very poor. Also, I found that when increasing the volume, the higher frequencies would reach a point of hurting my ears before the bass or mids reached the level I was looking for. I tried numerous EQ settings on both my mp3 player and PC, but that didn't completely make this issue go away.The other major problem in my view is actually the tight seal of the earbuds. Although this may block out exterior noise, if you talk, it will cause the inside of your head to vibrate as if you were talking with fingers plugged in your ears. It's very annoying and basically made this set non-usable for VOIP.I am returning this product and sticking to my several-years-old $20 Philips SHE5920 Virtual Surround Sound In-Ear Headphones which have more balanced sound and much better bass (but no mic). These Klipsch phones don't deliver what I expected for this price level.

I own some pretty expensive ear buds, but I was looking for something I could wear outside in the heat without worry of ruining a $25o set of buds. I shopped around for a long while and read as much as I could about different sets. I've discovered that, at least for me, the expensive buds are quite limited in their usefulness because one is almost afraid to leave the house with them.I found these ProMedia on sale for 40 dollars shipping included, and after reading very positive reviews, I elected to order them. I'm VERY glad I did, absolutely wonderful sound! Very high quality sound and quality manufacture.Are these as good as a $200 dollar set? Heck no, but they're a LOT closer than one might expect. And if I ruin these while working doing yard work I'd not be too devastated; I could afford to replace them.All in all, I'd have to say that these are one of the better 40 dollar expenditures I've made. But I DO want to make sure that everyone knows I am very pleased with these, but I've not tested all the buds in this price range.Whatever you decide to buy, I hope you have fun with them and enjoy your listening.PS. I learned the hard way not to order buds on eBay! as I bought counterfeit buds. It was a huge hassle getting my refund. I strongly recommend you purchase from Amazon (not the other listed sellers) as they are warrantied from Amazon but not from the other sellers. See the website for conformation.

My previous pair of earbuds, the Klipsch S4's, are pretty much identical to the Promedia earbuds. Same driver, same shape, same amazing and realistic audio quality. The only differences are the colors (Promedia comes in black/red), the mic (which I've been told sounds crystal clear on the other end) and a thicker cord (which does help a little with tangling, but it's not perfect). If you're looking for a truly rich sonic experience for under $100, these buds fit the bill absolutely perfectly. The highs are very crisp and lively, and mids are rich and fulfilling, and the bass, while not booming, sounds realistic, natural, and not overpowering, The Promedia earbuds are extremely comfortable (I've had them in for about 5 hours now, and still barely notice that they're there.) The oval-shaped eartips provide a nearly perfect fit, and in the package are 4 different sizes of the tips, along with a protective carrying case and clothing clip. I was surprised that Klipsch didn't pack an eartip cleaning tool in the box (the S4's had it.) Another huge plus with these buds is their sound isolation qualities. I can't hear any commonplace external noise with the volume only 15% of the way up.

I am a previous Custom-2 owner and had to find a replacement since the Custom-2 had some 1st gen design issues. They said they will not be making any headphones with the same design. So here I am with the ProMedia headphones.The feels the same as my Custom-2's which is extremely comfortable even over extended periods of time. They sound excellent. The bass seems to be slightly muddled compared to my Custom-2's but those cost way more so it's a reasonable trade-off. The mid and highs are clear though. You can only hear sound travel from the upper portion of the wire if the wires are hit. Anything below the split cannot be heard in the headphones which is good. That can be very annoying if your cable bounces when you are walking.My only issue is they don't have the around the ear hooks like the custom-2's so I don't have anywhere to hang them when I have to remove them to talk to someone at work. But I'm not going to knock the rating for that since I knew that when I bought them.The headphones worked perfectly with my HTC Hero Android smartphone. It's nice being able to talk to my wife with the headphones at work if I need to. They also come with a splitter so you can use them when gaming on your desktop or notebook. Very nice touch by Klipsch for including that.The warranty is 2 years and they do a great job honoring their warranties. Make sure you buy from an authorized seller. Wires break. You get new headphones. Pretty simple. I actually had 3 pairs of Custom-2's.

These earbuds are great. They are compatible to the Sennhesier CX300. I upgraded because the CX300 did not have a built in mic. I wanted a built in mic for both my iPod Touch and my Lenovo Thinkpad T410 which both have combo audio/mic jacks using 4 poles. Therefore, I found the Klipsch Gaming Headphones. The medium earpiece seemed to go too far into my ear, but the large one seems like it stuck out too much. I just stuck with the large one.Also included is a caring case and a splitter for the combo jack. The splitter takes a male 4 pole headphones into one male audio jack and one male mic jack for use on computers that still use the traditional split system.Also, these headphones claim to use the same drivers as the much more expensive Klipsch S4. I didn't like the red colored earbuds, but its a small issue. I would prefer all black.

I don't do many reviews on Amazon, actually this is my FIRST one because I had to let you all know...These are the BEST headphones you can buy under $100 (200?) dollars (and have same specs as Klipsch S4 headphones).Quality is just absurd. A lot of reviewers here don't know anything about sound equalizing and just use default audio presents...I listen to these with my Smartphone and on my computer with Winamp, and let me tell you, using the equalizer on each and having used Dre Beats headphones before, these are top notch...Bass can get extremely low and clear and sound clear even against the highs which sound separated from mids and lows...Can't beat them.If you do, please let me know.Also, make sure to find the CORRECT plugs for your ears. These need to fit comfortably and tight in your ear to feel the max effect.From an audiophile.

When these first arrived, my initial impression was not too favorable. The bass sounded weak and there was an overall muffled sense to the sound. Now, several weeks later, with a couple hundred hours of burn-in time, my opinion has changed 180 degrees. The sound is clear and tight with a good balance between bass, mid-range and highs. They're not $300+ audiophile grade, but for this price point, they sound really good.Other points: - You need to play with the different ear tips to get the right size. When correctly fitted, the noise isolation works well, otherwise the sound suffers and outside noise leaks in. - The microphone works well enough...I obviously can't listen to myself, but people on the other end say that my voice is coming across clearly. - The mechanical designer deserves a solid "thank you" for the choice of wire and the way it's attached to the earpieces. There's some noise transmitted from wire movement into the earpiece, but it's minimal compared to some of the others I've owned. The attachment seems solid and isn't likely to be a point of failure. YMMV.The price of these earphones seems to go up and down on a regular basis. I recommend sticking a pair in your shopping cart in the "save for later" bin. As the price moves around, you'll get a price change update every time you open your shopping cart. Buy them when it seems reasonable.Strongly recommended.(BTW, You can burn in earphones and headphones by plugging them into an iPod or some other source and letting random music play quietly for a couple of days. In most cases, the sound quality changes drastically for the better as the parts wear-in.)

The ProMedia Earbuds by Kilpsch sound, feel, and look amazing. The sound quality of these 'buds are unheard of (Incredible) on all levels. I listen to lots of electronica, dubstep, house, electro, etc. and I must say that these earbuds brought out new sounds i had not heard before w/ my previous in ear headphones (Koss KE29). The sound is crisp, and bass is balanced perfectly.PROS-Sound Quality-Look (Man these things look AWESOME!)-Microphone (Superb Quality, tested w/ VOIP calls and online video gaming, works GREAT!)-Except for the cord-- Doesn't feel cheaply made.CONS-Cord feels almost too thin to be durable, but for now it's not breaking on me, and that is a good thing.-Noise isolation is ONLY worth 3.9/5 stars- Noticeable (but easily forgettable) cord feedback.- I feel bad to stuff these into my pocket because they look SO GOOD!!!!BOTTOM LINE:I have been researching as to what earbuds I should buy for several months, and for the $25-60 range, this was a purchase i will CERTAINLY NOT REGRET. :).

I purchased the Klipsch Pro Media in earphones, after readig multiple reviews on the internet. Looks wise theyre awesome!. When tried out with an mp3 player, sound was pretty good. Then i got to my cellphone (Galaxy device). When tested the sound quality on the device, i was shocked. The sound was so narrow and hollow as if it were coming from miles away. No bass, no treble, no tones at all. Even on the loudest volume, i could barely hear a thing. My $10 Creative EP 630 are a million times better!!...This case was with music, vidoe and calls. My guess is that i could have got a faulty piece. But overall i am very disappointed as i was so excited to finally replace my amazing ep630.Update: Just got to know that these are mainly for Apple products!!...this is even worse as i never knew that (wudve never bought one if i'd known)...

compared to the in-ear buds i've had in the past, these were by far the best.-wire wasnt that cheap flimsy thin wire that other headphones have-box easy to open (for those of you that care about these kind of things)-bass and mid were really clear.. wasnt muddy like i was expecting it to be.. trebles are a bit drowned out by the rest, but still come through-the case, bud tips, shirt clip, and headphone and microphone split adapter were all really nice to get with it..-really comfortable fit.. can wear them for hours and not hurt-supposed to be worn over the ear according to the diagram... but whatever.. hahaoverall, best pair of earbuds i've ever bought.. i got a deal on them for 45 (including shipping) so it was definitely worth it for me.. i have a pair of sennheiser cans which i like, but having a smaller pair of headphones is definitely nice. these headphones are definitely worth the step up from the cx300 (which i had and broke) or any of the sony earbuds (which i've had and broke). i have yet to compare these to shures, but either way, i am satisfied with these.these get a 4 only because the trebles COULD be a bit better.. (however, they're not TERRIBLE and still come through).. if you're debating on getting a cheaper pair, dont.. cause i've been there and was unhappy.. it's worth the little extra for a pair you'll definitely be happy with

These came for free in a bundle (it's safe to say I'm never going to waste this much $$ on a pair of headphones). They're completely annoying - constantly getting tangled and caught on things. Now, which I figured would eventually happen thanks to the poor design, one of the white buds has popped off in my attempt to pull the wires apart from each other. Whatever supposed higher sound quality there is certainly can't overcompensate for the nuisance suffered. If these were cheaper than a standard pair of earbuds I still wouldn't buy them.

I've had these for a month and absolutely love them. The mic isn't the best if you are walking down a busy street and trying to talk on the phone but then again what is. As for the sound coming out of them, once you burn them in they are awesome. I was a little scared when I first got them. The tweeking of my ears was horrible. That night I left them hooked up to my computer and blasted music through them over night. By morning they were perfect. But the best feature of these is the noise isolation. I work in an office with a woman who insists on singing along to all her favorite puerto rican tunes. Needles to say, I have been looking for ways to get her fired without success for years. Now with these earbuds I am finally free of her screeching voice without having to blast music through my old headphones. My new problem - hearing my phone or the boss.

First, I just want to point out that there aren't enough reviews out there for these headphones. Not many people own them, so this may be why they keep going on sale.The good stuff:The wire is tangle resistant and is pretty strong. I accidentally yanked out of my ears with my knees pretty hard, but they were still fine. The tangle resistant part is very important, especially if you plan on using them plugged into your iphone or ipod while they are in your pocket. Folding up the wire is pretty simple, too. Also, the headphones fit easily into the included case. The headphones are quite light, much lighter than the turbines I bought a while back. They are bent and fit easily into your ear. I haven't had them fall out yet, and that's a major plus. The sound is pretty good and the mic works well. I tested the mic on the iphone with some impressive results. The carrying case is nice and it comes with plenty of ear buds to get the perfect fit.The bad stuff:First, the wire end isn't L-shaped. For the life of me, I don't understand why manufacturers do not put L-shaped connectors on the end of their headphones. Having L-shaped connectors prevents wear and tear on the end of the wire when wrapping them around the device you have it plugged into.Second, try to get these on sale. They seem to fluctuate in price, but I think that's because it's not a very common item. If you are patient, you can get them for $30, although I would get them if you see them reach $40.

I got these as a gift for my girlfriend who loves my S4i earbuds. I chose these for her so that we don't mix up earbuds, and also because they come with an adapter for computer use, and she uses her laptop to make conference calls for work. These appear to be the S4i earbuds painted red and black instead of black and silver, and I actually prefer the single button with microphone to the S4i's 3 buttons, which feels clunky. She loves these earbuds.

The audio quality of these earbuds is just not very good. I compared them with some $15 Sony earbuds I use for a Cowon mp3 player, and the Sonys had much better sound balance overall. (Cowon is famous for great audio quality, also.)There is virtually no bass with these at all, only hints of bass. The high end is definitely favored, and I think that these would fatigue your ears very quickly with their harsh, top-end orientation. I found them too bright and piercing, even at lower sound levels, and I don't have perfect hearing in parts of the high end. (My hearing sensitivity is above average for my age, but I do have a small notch in one band at 4k where it dips to average levels.)The mic is a joke. The sound output is way too quiet to be useful, and the mic housing does not isolate the mic at all - every little movement makes a huge amount of noise, overwhelming the desired audio.Since this is designed to be used for gaming (which I don't do), there may be advantages in the design of this headset for that pursuit, but they are simply not adequate for any use I would have for a headset like this.For music, I prefer Koss Porta Pros, or really serious headphones like Pro 4AAs, as a point of reference. My favorite headset with a mic Sony no longer makes.I wouldn't recommend these.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the package is how lightweight these earbuds are. I can wear them with the original buds already installed and forget I have them on until someone speaks to me and I can only see lips move. I'm no audiophile but just playing various music genres I can attest that these buds cover a vast range of sounds. The fit also muffles out distracting noises around you.The microphone is a few inches down the cord from one's chin as one is wearing these, and again the mic is so small it doesn't weigh down the assemble.I'm also pleased with the carrying pouch these buds come with. No more getting the cords tangled while carrying these in a bag. Inside the pouch is also an full-sized adapter and four sets of ear adapters.These may be a tad expensive but for comfort and sound, these are ideal. Just don't forget you have them on as the wiring is on the thin side. After an hour, though, you start feeling the sweat build up inside the ears and need to take them off.I wouldn't limit these buds to just the gamer. Anyone who appreciates comfortable ear buds should consider these. Just be careful when purchasing these, as the price seems to fluctuate from $59 to $89 at any given time. Definitely get these when they are selling in the lower range (DUH!).

Finally settled on these to replace my ailing Shure E2c's at work. Supposedly they're just Klipsch IMAGE S4 In-Ear Enhanced Bass Noise-Isolating Headphones with an inline mic, which is weird considering the ProMedias are $20 cheaper. Pretty happy with them so far though, even without fully breaking them in. The oval tips give a great seal/fit and are very comfortable over long periods of time. Klipsch's objective here was clearly a "fun" sound with high bass and treble, which doesn't bother me since I'm a bit of a basshead, but you probably won't want to do a lot of mixing/mastering with these. Still a great deal though; you'll have trouble finding IEMs with better sound quality for $40.

The earbuds are angled, so they fit very snugly into the ear canal and provide great sound. I got these to replace a pair of Koss earbuds I've had for about 2 years. For me, these Klipsch earbuds are much more comfortable and provide a better range of sound than my previous pair.The microphone offers surprising sound quality. I've done a few voiceovers in the past and I was quite surprised by the excellent quality of this tiny mike. No popping at all; just crisp, clear sound. I used an off-the-shelf Toshiba Satellite equipped with Harman/Kardon speakers and the results were superlative. I'd post a sound clip, if I could. These would also be excellent for use with voice recognition software.I primarily use these to listen to my IPod while on the treadmill & they do an excellent job of isolating the treadmill noise so that I can keep my IPod at as low a volume as possible. They also come with a padded zippered storage case, custom sized earbud inserts, a y-adapter (for simultaneous use of earbuds and mike), and an optional alligator clip for securing the wiring to your clothing.Highly recommended for their comfort, sound performance, and microphone quality.
