I have mixed feelings about these headphones. I have had two pairs already. The positive is that they are lightweight, have adequate sound, and they are reasonably priced. They also have a longer cord than most, which means you don't have to be right next to whatever you are plugging them into.
However, the bad point is that they are plastic and so the it is easy to break them. Both of my pairs have cracked on the headband just above where the round earphone swivels. So, they can't be easily repaired with duct tape because it doesn't hold well in that area.

These are the best headphones Ive owned, sound quality wise. I've had them nearly a year and used them often. One huge concern these raised for me is how often the cord would short where the cable and the plug casing meet. I have repaired them in this area four times. FOUR TIMES. In under a year's use. They're quite tricky to repair as well. The wires inside are extremely thin and must not touch inside the cord, there is a thin outer insulation that encloses an inner insulation which all three wires (left, right, ground)share, positioned to just barely avoid touching. Think of a cross section looking like an extremely small circle (1.5mm diameter) with an unbelievably small "mickey mouse" shaped channel, the left and right wires are in the "ears" and the ground is the "head". The wires themselves have a lot of filler "hairs" intermingled which are a headache to cut out during repairs.
These don't take much to short either, as you can imagine with such a delicate configuration.I specifically tried to avoid stress fracture from excessive bending in the area the plug casing meets the cord. Turns out that's not what did them in anyway. I mostly listen at my computer, and after tugging the cord out by leaning too far to get something nearby maybe thrice they shorted. they shorted again when I was listening to my MP3 player and I dropped it which yanked the cord out (more forcefully this time).
That I loved these enough to go through the headache--literally, soldering fumes and eyestrain are no joke--of repairing four times should speak for their great sound, but they've shorted again and now I'm looking for some new, more resilient cans.

These aren't the best headphones I've ever heard--the Audio-Technica's ATH-M50 is what I use right now--but for the price they have a great sound. I compared them to several other popular options in the same price range, and these sounded much better than the others (including a pair of Shures). I think it's mainly to do with a rubber seal that exists inside the ear pieces. The seal allows for some pretty great bass. I used them for years until one of the hinges finally broke and one of the headphones fell off. I super glued it back into place and now use them as my backup pair.

i have several JVC headphones and all are better than what you can get for the same price point with other brands.
these headphones are pretty accurate, nothing is added to the sound. If you want bass enhanced headphones, these wont be for you, but if your music has alot of bass in the recording then it will be there and very clear, even at high volumes. i can hear many layers in the music, especially electronic music and pink floyd, no sounds drown out other instruments.
the fit is around my ears and its snug but i wouldnt say tight, top of the headband is padded a bit and the JVC lettering is on top of the headband, and the earcups are a shiney black.

I really love how it looks and sounds. I am not an audiophile but can tell good from bad and great from good. I would put this somewhere in the good category for the price point. The sound in the beginning was OK, but it improved significantly after few days of burning-in and adjusting the equalizers on my laptop and iPhone. I listen to a variety of music and it does justice to most music types without distorting any frequency ranges. Being a closed back design, it does provide good sound isolation (not noise-cancellation), so you won't disturb people around you with your music. This helps as I listen to music at work. Unfortunately, the same closed back design also makes it almost airtight and due to this it gets hot pretty quickly. It doesn't bother initially but once your ears gets hot, you won't be able to wear it any longer! I am thinking of using this during my commute when it gets cold outside ;-)

Work quality is good, the bass shock effect immediately, and the feeling of resolution amazing. A little surprised feeling. The resolution is good, but very difficult to machine, a baritone voice performance are very in place, including male female, have reached the pop music of the ultimate performance. At the same time bass descend and transient response are very good, causing the site to heighten the effect is very obvious, but the sound sense of space is not particularly good. Sound density sense is very strong, the voice of a crowded feeling, but it is worth mentioning is the unique bass resonance, have a style of one's own, has a special charm. Worthy of recommendation!

The JVC HAM750 hey? I use it for DJ work, so far so good. Solid little unit...Bass Mids and highs hold well. Good isolation, Even when the room is busy. I have only owned them for a month or so, but as all us DJS know no matter what price we pay $$$$$ or $$$ or $... somewhere down the the line the right or left headphone cuts out. I think for the price they are very good.

Very light weight, but they seem sturdy. The earpads are comfortably soft. Sound is muddy as the other reviewer said. Trying to find a backup for my HD558's on the cheap. Apparently, these aren't the ones.

Over-emphasized bass, muddy mid-bass, extremely murky mids, and slightly uncontrolled highs. A snare drum just sounds like a slap, with no crispness to it. Voices sound like they're playing through water. All in all, these headphones sound pretty terrible. I bought some Sony headphones on sale for about twenty bucks, and they sounded much better.
My points of reference are a Rotel amplifier connected to NHT SuperZero speakers, and Etymotic ER-4 headphones.

After reading all of the 4 star and 5 star reviews on the durability of the product, I was under the impression that one could go mobile with these headphones. Since the headphones broke after 30 days, I recommend you buy them only for home use. If you're looking for mobility, stick with buds (that are not JVCs).

The sound appears to be fine, but I'm no audiophile. I'm plugging the headphones into a sound card in a computer. The cables running from the headset itself are the smaller size, join about 1' from the headphones into one slightly larger (yet still small diameter) cable. The length of that cable from the headphones to a (small size) plug is 4'. There are cable reinforcements at the headphones themselves. It comes with a 7' extension (which I'm using) and an adapter to a larger plug (which I'm not using). My problem (thus only 4 stars) is the size of the pads around the ears. They are rectangular and fairly small. I've never been accused of having big ears, but my ears don't fit entirely inside the pads. That causes soreness after an hour or so.

I spent hours and hours searching for a decent quality, fair-priced, collapsible set of headphones, and my research paid off. I'm not a huge audiophile by any standard, but I definitely prefer these kind of headphones over uncomfortable earbuds. At the same time, I'm not willing to shell out $200 for "Beats" or Bose headphones that are oversized and over-priced. I've previously owned two pairs of Sennheisers, which sounded amazing but both stopped working in one ear after not too long. So I bucked the conventional wisdom and switched brands, and it's working out beautifully. These headphones have terrific sound quality, are lightweight and portable, and about as comfortable as you can get. Other pairs in this price range are comparable in many ways, but this set beats them out in terms of durability, which was key for me - I can toss these in my backpack without worrying about them. These are a great buy.

Lightweight and comfortable for those with smaller ears, larger ears might feel cramped around the edges. I use these to listen to streaming audio at my workstation and the quality is good. You won't get deep low end, but you won't get ear fatigue from bright high ends either. The chord is long to reach your desktop or tower. These are a good replacement for ear buds and provide a small amount of sound isolation, you'll still be able to hear the office phone ring or a co-worker walk up. For the price it's a good value set of headphones. Been using them for about 4 months and they are holding up well.

Lack of my own accord not reading descriptions, but it doesn't have a USB cord. The length is very good for average computer/laptop usage. Also includes an extension and an amp plug, if you're into recording. Headphones themselves are pretty great, strong quality sound, and pretty decent external noise cancellation. Lose their comfort after a few hours, but a run to the fridge and back and they feel fine again. Thin film of fabric protecting ear from direct contact with speaker, but other than that, well built and durable.

I'm not an audiophile, but I'm still considerate of quality in a product, and these headphones do not disappoint. The sound quality is fantastic; you can hear every little detail in a song whether it be rock, hip-hop, classical,etc. The bass thumps and rumbles loudly and clearly does not cause distortion at high volumes like some other devices. The fact that the foam pads go around your ear makes for sound isolation that would probably be on par with many noise canceling headphones. Finally, they are lightweight and foldable not to mention sleek and stylish and for the price of around $50 they are a steal!
The only complaint I have is that after a few hours these headphones can put a bit of pressure on your ear cartilage if you have large ears making it uncomfortable. It can also get hot and stuffy in there, but hey, you can use them as earmuffs during the winter!

forget SKULLCANDY these headphones are great. i have three pair of headphones,and this pair is the best of the three. nice comfortable fit plus sturdy. only thing i find wrong is cord seems to be thin, not thick enough & i also agree with the person below about the thin fabric inside the ear cup.they still sound great! hope they last for some time

I bought these headphones for my husband who likes to listen to a variety of music and he is very pleased with them. He listens to all types of music - classical, folk, rock, pop and a bit of electronic like depeche mode. He says they are very clear and clean and he can hear all the nuances in his music. If he's happy I'm happy which means when he's got his headphones on I don't have to listen to him lol So definitely a good buy and very reasonable at this price.

Love these headphones. If you're looking for an all-around comfortable, good-sounding pair of headphones, this is it. I experimented with other pairs of over-the-ear phones before settling on these. I work at a computer all day so I needed something comfortable. The others I tried hurt my head after six hours but I can wear these all day no problem.
I was hesitant to get them with the limited reviews, but I'm really glad I did. And if they look too big to you, they aren't - I have an average sized head and they're super comfy. They also adjust very well.

I've been using these headphones for a while and have to admit that I'm impressed. The sound quality is there but one qualm I have is that they can become a bit uncomfortable after long use. Other then that they're great!

I just finished breaking in these headphones with ~100 hours of nice classical music and man they are really nice. I personally like the flat sound that JVC headphones tend to have because you can just adjust your eq to make the sound fit your needs. I compared these to Monster Beats and Skullcandy aviators and have to say these are the most versatile headphones. The build quality is excellent but you might want to go easy on the cord from my expirience with JVC headphones. Depending on your head shape this could be uncomfortable since the cups dont swivel like the HA-S700s. Overall great headphones for the money.

I've been using these JVC HA-M750 headphones daily for a little over a month. They're very comfortable, have excellent and crisp sound quality, are light and easy to pack, and aren't clunky. The wire-connections to the headset are a bit fragile, my original pair came loose unexpectedly. However, JVC was very easy to deal with and provided me with a new replacement without complications, though shipping the faulty set was on me. I would recommend these to anyone in the market for a good pair of headphones at this price point.

Have an average size head and they fit securely and can wear them for long periods of time. Sound is solid, highs and mids
aren't tinny or muddy and the bass is more than ample. Use them for my home stereo, iMac and iPod.
Although it is too early to rate longevity, they appear to be
very well constructed. For the money, you cannot go wrong.
