Jabra es una marca dedicada especialmente al sonido para entornos laborales de oficina. De hecho la mayoría que trabajéis en oficina os va a sonar de algo este nombre, estoy seguro. Últimamente están abriendo mercado a otros perfiles dentro del sector (por ejemplo con la serie Elite Active, pensada para los que practican deporte), pero hace nada han sacado estos auriculares orientados 100% al trabajador joven y dinámico, que alterna entre el teletrabajo en casa y la oficina: los nuevos Jabra Evolve2 85

Unos auriculares absolutamente top que os voy a descubrir a continuación.

PRIMERAS IMPRESIONES
====================

No os negaré que la primera impresión al tener la caja en mis manos me chocó un poco. ¿Un producto TAN premium con una caja TAN cutre? Rápidamente cuando avanzamos dentro del packaging vemos que Jabra ha hecho la caja con materiales 100% reciclables y sostenibles, y la ha impreso con tinta basada en agua. Buen movimiento pro-medio ambiente, no me lo esperaba y se agradece 👍

También se aprecia que la caja pesa bastante, lo que me choca para unos auriculares así. En realidad todo el peso recae en la base de carga de los auriculares, para que se mantenga equilibrada con los cascos encajados.

Así pues lo que obtenemos a primera vista es la base de carga y una funda rígida con cremallera. Que por cierto esta última es muy buena, bien rematada por todas partes, con cremallera finísima y tirador personalizado. Con acabado afelpado interior y con un sistema de separador muy bien pensado. Permite llevar dentro los auriculares plegados, y los varios accesorios que se incluyen.

Dependiendo de la versión que hayáis adquirido, os llegará con o sin stand, y con los cables terminando en USB-A o USB-C.

DISEÑO Y ERGONOMÍA
===================

Debería estar dentro de las primeras impresiones, pero es que cuando abrí la funda por primera vez fue un "WOW!" (y eso que estaban bien plegados 😂). El diseño me encanta, son super sobrios siendo completamente negros a excepción de la parte extensible de la diadema, que es en gris. El auricular en sí es grandote, siendo cada driver de 40 mm y con unas importantes almohadillas en auriculares y diadema ... no vais a pasar desapercibidos cuando los llevéis.

Hablando de las almohadillas, estas son del tipo "memory foam", por lo que se adaptan a la perfección a la oreja y a su vez ofrecen una muy buena función de aislamiento acústico. Aunque parezca mentira, estas almohadillas son una de las grandes bazas de estos auriculares ya que son super cómodas. Puede que encontréis auriculares mejores (aunque no sé si habrán muchos), pero que los podáis llevar puestos durante TODA la jornada laboral sin que se hagan incómodos o molestos, esto es otro tema. No os exagero si os digo que son los auriculares más cómodos que he llevado nunca, y ¡eso que a la vez llevo gafas! Junto a la diadema superior que también lleva una buena almohadilla (un poco más rígida, de otro tipo), hacen un combo que se llevan automáticamente un puro 10 en ergonomía bajo mi criterio 👍

Lo único que se podría criticar a las almohadillas, es que no son transpirables. Cuando nos saquemos los auriculares veremos que nuestro propio aceite corporal (orejas, pelo, ...) habrán manchado las susodichas. Simplemente hay que pasar un paño después de su uso, y listos.

Con los cascos puestos y mirando de cara, lo único que verán en el frontal es el pequeño botón del micrófono para llamar a nuestro asistente de voz favorito (Alexa o Google) y la luz "busylight" en caso que estemos ocupados en una llamada o en modo concentración.

En la parte trasera (lo que nos quedaría detrás de las orejas), tenemos a la izquierda un botón dedicado a cambiar el tipo de cancelación de ruido / escuchar el ambiente y bastante más por abajo tenemos un selector tipo ON/OFF., A la derecha tenemos los botones para pausar música y avanzar/retroceder (multifunción según lo que estemos haciendo). Y en medio de la parte plana lateral del auricular derecho tenemos el botón dedicado a Microsoft Teams para responder llamada y colgar.

JABRA LINK 380 y JABRA DIRECT (Uso en Windows)
========================================

Estos auriculares están pensados para ser usados mediante conexión Bluetooth, sea en el ordenador o en el móvil/tablet. Teniendo mucha vista, la gente de Jabra ya sabe que la mayoría de ordenadores de oficina no disponen de Bluetooth (y en muchos casos ni tan siquiera de tarjeta de sonido), de ahí que hayan incluido este pequeño pincho USB customizado. A primera vista no deja de ser un pincho de perfil bajo así un poco de diseño, pero luego uno se da cuenta que ese bluetooth está modificado de alguna manera.

Los auriculare y el Jabra Link 380 vienen pre-emparejados de fábrica. Es conectar el pincho a un puerto USB, poner el selector de cascos en "ON" y ya funciona, sin más.

El Jabra Link 380 se completa con la más que recomendable instalación del software Jabra Direct. Aunque no es imprescindible tenerlo instalado para que los cascos funcionen correctamente (si el administrador del sistema os tiene capado instalar cosas, no hay problema en usar los auriculares sin este software). Jabra Direct nos permite, entre otras cosas:

🔸 Activar/desactivar la detección "on-ear"
🔸 Auto-resumir nuestra música cuando nos pongamos los auriculares
🔸 Cambiar la voz guía de los auriculares (desgraciadamente no incluyen el Español)
🔸 Activar protecciones de audio y volumen según varios standards internacionales
🔸 Configurar el tiempo antes que los cascos entren en modo inactividad
🔸 Los "beeps" al presionar los botones
🔸 Nombre del dispositvo BT en la red
🔸 Sidetone y volumen de este (para poder escuchar nuestra propia voz aún y con los auriculares puestos)
🔸 Configurar la lista de dispositivos a los que están emparejados los auriculares
🔸 Activar/desactvar la luz "busylight"
🔸 Notificaciones auditivas al apretar cualquier botón
🔸 Configuración específica como softphone para Microsoft Teams y otros
🔸 Etc etc ...

A parte también nos sirve para actualizar el firmware de los auriculares, e incluye función de ecualizador de sonido básico de 5 vías (el cual tenía un problemilla que solucionaron con la primera actualización de software).

Por cierto en Microsoft Teams estos auriculares están integrados al 100%. De hecho no he tenido que configurar nada de nada, funcionan como es debido sin más. Responder/colgar llamadas presionando el botón lateral, micrófono en "mute" al plegarlo físicamente en los cascos, ... todo como era de esperar 👍

JABRA SOUND+ (Uso en tablet y móviles)
=================================

En cuanto a usarlos con teléfono o tablet, tampoco hace falta ningún software específico para usar los auriculares. Pero de la misma manera que en PC, si descargáis la app específica para iOS o Android, le sacaréis mucho más provecho.

De hecho Sound+ es bastante mejor su contrapartida de PC. Ahí podemos configurar los cascos, cambiar modos de sonido, usar los "Momentos" (preconfiguraciones de ecualizador o nuestra propia definición de sonido), tener los manuales de uso ...

Realmente soy muy fan del preset "reforzar" que se puede aplicar al audio en general (una ecualización casi en V, básicamente). Luego os comento más al respecto en el apartado de calidad de sonido.

Oh y también tiene la función de localizador de nuestros auriculares. La app pide permisos para conocer la ubicación, y si se los concedemos nos irá registrando la ubicación de nuestros cascos. De esta manera si en algún momento no los encontramos, desde el teléfono podremos consultar el último punto del mapa dónde estaban conectados 👍

DURACIÓN DE BATERÍA
===================

Sencillamente increíble. Puedes usar los cascos durante toda la semana laboral sin necesidad de recargar la batería. Las 37 horas de autonomía que indica Jabra, son de verdad ¡Hará cosa de 1 mes que los tengo ¡y los he recargado 1 sola vez! Entre la precarga que llevan de fábrica y la carga completa que les di ... perfectos. Hay que decir que tampoco estoy 8h con los auriculares puestos, uno tiene que atender reuniones y demás, jeje

Una carga entera tarda aprox 1:30h. Que para nada es un drama teniendo en cuenta la súper autonomía. Pero es que a demás han implementado una carga rápida, que en 15 minutos te da para 8h de música. Vamos, son perfectos para la gente que no puede vivir para nada sin música 🤣

Si usamos el cable para cargarlos directamente, podemos utilizar un cargador de teléfono cualquiera, o bien un puerto USB libre de nuestro PC. Si preferimos utilizar la base de carga, basta con encajar el auricular izquierdo (el cual queda perfectamente fijado), y listos. Tendremos unos auriculares haciendo un magnífico ejercicio de malabares aguantándose en una posición imposible. Todas las miradas de la oficina se van a fijar ahí, que lo sepáis.

CALIDAD DE SONIDO (MÚSICA Y AUDIO)
==============================

Directamente la calidad de sonido está a la par con el precio y lo que se podría esperar de este.

Si empezamos con instrumentos solistas o con poco acompañamiento, sorprende la claridad de cómo se escucha cada instrumento. Por ejemplo en "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence" (Ryuichi Sakamoto) se nota perfectamente el frotar de las cuerdas de los violines o el golpear a las teclas del piano.

En bandas sonoras y música orquestral en general, los auriculares brillan. Da igual que pongas el tema principal de Star Trek: La película, los temas míticos de Star Wars, o bien los temas de Piratas del Caribe ... cualquier tema de John Williams o Hans Zimmer . Es que como escuchéis esas canciones a buen volumen, os van a generar escalofríos, palabra. Sobretodo me fascina la separación de canales e instrumentos que consiguen, podemos distinguir perfectamente todos los instrumentos y con hasta cierto grado de posicionamiento en el espacio. Medios y agudos clarísimos. Personalmente y gustándome los auriculares cálidos, prefiero aumentar un poco los bajos tirando de ecualizador (o a malas el preset "Reforzar" en el móvil).

Cambiando de género, otra canción que me gusta probar "Island in the Sun" (Weezer). La canción pasa de un inicio en stéreo muy diferenciado y limpio, al subidón con distorsiones rockeras. Con estos auriiculares seguimos obteniendo una separación super clara de canal izquierdo y derecho en instrumentos y voces, y se comportan bien en los momentos de guitarreo.

Siguiendo en la línea pero más "sucio", pruebo "Do You Want To" (Franz Ferdinand). Es una canción algo complicada de ser reproducida correctamente por su tendencia ruidosa y distorsionada. Cumple sin ningún problema la escucha en estos Jabra, al igual que cualquier cosa de este grupo.

Pasamos a música punk clásica y modena. Todo lo que sean canciones de The Offspring, Bad Religion, Green Day ... estupendo. Sonido bien definido tal y como Diox manda. También cumplen con el punk contemporáneo (tipo Lagwagon), con más bajos y contundencia.

Bajamos un poco con algo más rock/punk como "The Baboon Show". El grupo tiende mucho al sonido con predominancia de bajos y medios en sus canciones, todo muy "muteado". Sigue siendo muy interesante su escucha en estos auriculares, aunque puede que les falte algo de definición a los bajos.

Cambio de tercio musical total, siempre me gusta probar el funky de Jamiroquai en unos cascos. Funk, Disco de los 80 ... si os gustan estos géneros, estos auriculares se comportan muy bien. Eso sí, aquí es necesario reforzar los bajos a mi gusto. Subiéndolos un poquito, nos montamos nuestra fiesta privada al instante. El contraste de bajos profundos junto a los agudos tan definidos, otorgan un acabado buenísimo a las canciones. Por ejemplo en "Cosmic Girl - Remastered" (Jamiroquay) tendréis un clarísimo ejemplo de gran acabado. Dale un "Get Lucky" (Daft Punk) y otro tanto de bien. Pillando canciones bastante al límite sonoro (buscad "Super Sonic" de Nulbarich) los auriculares se defienden bastante bien.

Si pasamos a la música electrónica, tienen un comportamiento muy parecido al disco/funk, cumplen a la perfección. Es una frikada, pero me ha gustado mucho el rendimiento que se obtiene en canciones del grupo Anamanaguchi 😄. Oh y en el soundtrack de Hotline Miami también, jajaja.

Démoles un poco de Daft Punk. Mira que me conozco sus canciones (me encanta el grupo), pero por primera vez he sido capaz de escuchar unas frecuencias de fondo en determinadas canciones que nunca me había percatado en otros auriculares. ¡Me han sorprendido, la verdad!

Techno y cosas más durillas se llevan bien, eso sí tenéis que activar el preset "Reforzar" para sacarles todo el poderío.

Como curiosidad final inclasificable, escuchando la canción "Libre" (El Chaval de la Peca), nunca me había fijado tantísimo en el protagonismo que tiene el acompañamiento a la voz en esta canción, ¡y mira que es todo un clásico! Descubrimiento hecho con estos auriculares, curioso.

Así pues en calidad de sonido me parecen sobresalientes en todos los aspectos, haciendo énfasis en la claridad y separación de frecuencias. Ecualizando los bajos un poquito más altos o con una ecualización en V, los tengo perfectos a mi gusto. Eso sí, aunque para la mayoría de gente los bajos les van a ir bien, si sois un poco audiófilos veréis que no les podéis pedir virguerías en sonoridad a estos.

CALIDAD DE CONVERSACIONES
========================

Este es el punto que puede acabar decepcionando a la gente, y no deja de ser por una limitación tecnológica del protocolo Bluetooth. Os explico ...

Sin entrar en tecnicismos, BT tiene un ancho de banda limitado, la cantidad de información que se puede enviar en estas conexiones inalámbricas es baja. La solución hasta ahora es enviar el audio comprimido utilizando distintos códecs (cada uno con sus ventajas e inconvenientes). Actualmente hay que decir que estamos ya en un punto bueno en cuanto a la calidad de sonido, para música va perfecto. Tema de latencia y demás, aún no se ha conseguido resolver con esta tecnología.

El problema viene cuando queremos enviar y recibir sonido a la vez, y a demás queremos que sea con un retardo bajo (alias: hacer llamadas y videollamadas en tiempo real). Actualmente Bluetooth 5 no da suficiente ancho de banda para poder hacer esto en condiciones óptimas. La única solución es comprimir más el audio, hacer "que quepa" en ese ancho que usaremos bidireccionalmente, reduciendo la calidad.

Siendo así, y más si lo comparamos con la genial calidad de estos auriculares en la escucha de música, la calidad sonora en llamadas de voz es decepcionante. Sin poder llegarlo a valorar numéricamente, estamos ante una calidad tipo "audio de whatsapp", para que nos entendamos. Que sí, es en general suficiente para conversar (y realmente la tecnología de cancelación de ruido hace maravillas eliminando ruido de fondo en conversaciones) ... pero esta calidad de sonido es super triste versus la musical.

Lo ideal habría sido que el pincho USB (Jabra Link 380) hubiera dado soporte a otro tipo de conexión inalámbrica más rápida, como por ejemplo WiFi. Pero probablemente con esto se hubiera perdido mucha autonomía en los cascos y hubiera encarecido el producto. Imagino que no les ha quedado otra que tomar esa decisión.

CONCLUSIÓN
=========

Los Jabra Evolve2 85 son unos auriculares excelentes, y se han convertido en mis auriculares del día a día en el ordenador. Siempre he sido de auriculares cableados ya que me daba pereza tener unos cascos que la batería no me aguantase ni una jornada laboral entera. Pero es que con la autonomía tan bestial que tienen ... los puedo coger cuando quiera y están siempre con carga. Son ultra-cómodos de llevar puestos durante muchas horas, y la calidad escuchando música es sobresaliente.

Dónde flaquean es en el aspecto de la comunicación en tiempo real, en las llamadas de voz. Si vuestro uso se va a centrar exclusivamente en eso, a lo mejor pueden haber otras alternativas con mejor calidad de voz, sea mediante cable u otra tecnología inalámbrica.

Si por otro lado lo que más vais a hacer es escuchar música, id directamente a por estos auriculares sin pensarlo 2 veces, no os vais a arrepentir ni un ápice.

Para el uso que les daré, los Jabra Evolve2 85 se llevan una puntuación de 5⭐ de calle. Pero entendiendo que a mucha gente le va a preocupar la calidad de voz en charlas, me veo obligado a ponerles una puntuación final de 4⭐

Habéis llegado hasta aquí, os felicito por haberme leído 😀. Si crees que mi pedazo de opinión vale la pena y es de calidad, déjame un voto útil para seguir haciendo reviews de este calibre 👍

Puede que no sean los mejores cascos del mercado, lo sé, pero lo que sí tengo claro es que son unos cascos de primer nivel, con una calidad y versatilidad extraordinaria.
Lo cierto es que éste modelo tiene todo lo que esperas de unos buenos cascos; buen diseño y acabados, una larga autonomía, micrófono de calidad, comodidad para las largas sesiones de trabajo y ocio, una buena cancelación de ruido y por último una extraordinaria calidad de sonido.

La presentación no es de las mejores que haya visto, nada de lujos y vendemotos, de hecho el empaque podría pasar por unos cascos sencillos, aunque en esto siempre he pensado que es mejor que te defrauden por fuera y que sorprendan por dentro.

Presenta un buen diseño y acabados, nada ostentoso, tanto es así, que puede utilizarse dentro y fuera del espacio de trabajo, porque pasan desapercibidos, a la vista aparentan ser unos cascos mas bien sencillos, con detalles logicamente TOP, donde la botonera de control se encuentra en la copa derecha, volumen +- y play/pausa, en la copa izquierda el botón de encendido/apagado y la conexión de Bluetooth así como la entrada aux y puerto de carga USB C, en definitiva como casi todos.

La sincronización por bluetooth en dispositivos Android o IOS es fácil y rápida, sólo hay que buscar el modelo de los cascos en la lista de dispositivos encontrados y seleccionarlo, en el caso de PC utilizando el adaptador Bluetooth que incluye, éste viene ya presincronizado con los cascos y no hay que hacer nada más. Por Bluetooth podemos sincronizar hasta ocho dispositivos diferentes pero sólo utilizar dos de forma simultánea y aceptar llamadas entrantes de ambos. Alcance máximo 30m.

El micrófono es uno de los puntos estrella de este modelo, se encuentra perfectamente oculto en la copa derecha, para usarlo hay que mover el brazo articulado hacia abajo, este gesto vale también para atender una llamada entrante o finalizarla si lo recogemos. Se puede activar el asistente Siri o el asistente de Google con sólo pulsar un botoncito ubicado en el brazo del micro. Si esto fuera poco, podemos activar el micrófono de la copa para no tener que utilizar el del brazo, esto va de lujo cuando escuchamos música y atendemos una llamada en público y no queremos dar la nota.
La calidad es muy buena, y quién te escuche lo hará perfectamente sin apenas ruido de fondo. Si estás interesado en la integración de este modelo en Microsoft Teams, deciros que su certificado está exento de dudas, el botón Microsoft Teams ubicado en los cascos es el atajo perfecto, simplifica el unirte a una conversación activa, ver llamadas perdidas o mensajes..., sólo hay que pulsar el botón y se ejecuta la orden.

Otro detalle importante son las conocidas luces de aviso Busylight situadas en la copa, se iluminan automáticamente al hablar para indicar a los demás que estas ocupado y que no te molesten, en ambientes de trabajo con una atmósfera de estrés biene de perlas.

La verdadera virtud de estos cascos es su cancelación de ruido activa, impresionante!!!, he probado otros con ANC pero lo que ofrecen éstos es brutal, buenos no, lo siguiente...

Son cómodos y muy ligeros, pero por muy cómodos que sean va contranatura aguantarlos sin descansar durante un tiempo. Su diseño facilita la regulación al milímetro, la oreja queda dentro del auricular y la presión de la diadema es mínima, no asfixia. Las almohadillas son de lo más confortable y las esponjas de las orejas igual, pero el sudor y el símil a piel del auricular no son buena mezcla, para mí es bastante incomodo. Un detalle importante, tiene un sensor que detecta si nos quitamos los cascos, activando una pausa en la reproducción de música o el mute en una conversación, nadie escuchará nada.

Muestra un excelente sonido, limpio y detallado, genera voces y medios perfectos,  unos bajos potentes y profundos y lo mejor, no se vienen abajo ni distorsionan, aguantan niveles altos de presión sonora, no equilibra las frecuencias para ocultar la carencia de su altavoz porque su altavoz no tiene defectos, puede prácticamente con todo. Utiliza el códec AAC para musica envolvente, el sonido es casi puro.

Ofrece una aplicación para dispositivos Android e iOS , Jabra Sound+, con la que se puede configurar y personalizar ciertas funciones que físicamente no son posibles, incluso ecualizar el sonido, bien manualmente o con los ya preestablecidos, incluso actualizar el firmware de los cascos, esta app es fundamental.

La batería dura hasta 37 horas con una carga de una hora y media pero si vas apurado tiene la opción de carga rápida, 15 minutos de carga te darán para 8 horas más de autonomía. La carga se puede hacer a través de USB C o su Base de carga incluida en el pack.

Trae una funda de guardado y transporte muy normalita, semi rígida de pequeñas dimensiones, los cascos se guardan plegados.

LO QUE ME GUSTA:

• Sonido de auténtico LUJO.

• El códec ACC, sonido exponencial.

LO QUE NO ME GUSTA:
• Su precio.
• La presentación.

En fin...son unos cascos de primer nivel, tienen todo lo que hay que tener para ser Top, su versatilidad y capacidad para adaptarse a cualquier medio, fuera y dentro de plataformas como Microsoft Teams, y su extraordinaria calidad de audio los hace imprescindibles, 9/10.

La version que compré es la MS para Microsoft Teams y funciona muy bien.

Simplemente los amo!! La calidad del sonido es excelente, el micrófono bloquea los sonidos externos normales muy bien. Mi único punto medio malo son los updates de firmware que no se instalan bien.
Pero en general es lo mejor pude haber comprado para escuchar música y mis conferencias telefónicas.

Overall, I am quite pleased with the purchase, although I paid much more than I thought I would. They function well and are quite comfortable for use over much of a day. The MS functionality is also a nice feature. A surprising positive has been the background noise cancellation. At a meeting a few days ago, I apologized for the intense construction noise in my background. However, the meeting participants said that they could hear nothing but my voice, despite the background that made it hard for me to hear. My single biggest disappointment is the battery longevity. The claim was that power would last up to 37 hours, but I find it necessary to charge the headphones almost every night after an intense day of meetings.

I have been having issues with headset as I was intending to use it for work with MS teams and avaya. They can barely understand what I am saying because it kept on cutting out like I am using a radio and I am almost out of range. I then tried using it as wireless headphone for my phone for youtube and spotify and audio was cutting out as well.

I spoke with Jabra support and they had me reset the dongle the headset update the firmware and make sure it is charged up and same results.

If I can give this a negative star I would

I gave 1 star for noise cancellation because no one can understand what I am saying or I cannot even watch one utube video without the audio cutting out. I guess it is cancelling more than just the noise

I gave 1 star for sound quality because it was cutting out ... a lot

I gave 1 star for battery life because what is the point of having it charged up if it keeps on cutting out.

Right out of the box, the headset feels more premium and more comfortable to wear compared with the older wired model. The ear muffs are soft and does a good job of canceling moderate level of environmental noise. Conversations sound very clear and music sounds alright, which is fine since I bought these primarily for work purposes. I don’t use Microsoft Teams for work but got the MS version because it’s cheaper on Amazon. I can confirm that UC applications such as Jabber, WebEx, etc work just fine and transition between my laptop and my cellphone is seamless. My only gripe is the 1-2 second delay when I resume playing media from pause, and how tiny and oddly shaped the USB-C dongle is; wish it was thin and easy to grip like the USB-A version as opposed to being shaped like a cube. Speaking of the dongle, I was surprised to discover that it could potentially be paired with my AirPods to enable them to be used as headsets for my PC (have yet to try). Overall, I’m quite happy with my purchase.

Confort correct au début mais après 2 heures en continu d'utilisation, devient désagréable. Pression trop forte sur les pavillons d'oreilles. Même si j'ai essayé de les repositionner.
Pas vraiment de suppression du bruit. Mais testé dans un lieu plutôt silencieux donc pas vu la différence...
Son correct. Passe très bien d'un appareil connecté à l'autre, fonctions de base (play/pause, volume, avance/recul d'une plage, répondre et mettre fin à un appel, etc.) vont bien. Teams ouvert avec succès, reste à tester les autres fonctions MS Teams. Par contre, lorsque je me promène dans la maison, il atteignent difficilement une distance de 42 pieds (prévus : 100 pieds), le Bluetooth semble difficilement traverser les murs et le plancher (pourtant en bois seulement); le son passe, mais subit quelques interruptions, les commandes fonctionnent toutefois encore (play/pause).
Mise à jour de mon commentaire : j'ai accidentellement échappé mes écouteurs (sur plancher de bois franc) et ils fonctionnent encore à merveille. Pour cette raison, je leur accorde une étoile supplémentaire.

I have a Jabra evolve 75 and I was hoping this will be an upgrade given that it's lighter but I feel pain after wearing it for a short time on my head. The design is so uncomfortable on the head. Not happy with my purchase.

Have been using the headset for about a month now and they are almost perfect!

Pros - sleek look, wireless, light weight, lots of compliments, good head fit after breaking in, battery lasts as advertised
Cons - a bit too pricey, might feel a little too snug the first week or so but will break in

Feels really cheap, like a possible fake. For $350 it is definitely not worth the money for this build quality

I bought these to replace my existing headset, a Jabra Evolve 75. My experience was different than many of the reviews and I am disappointed and going to return this product. I immediately noticed the sound quality was not as good as the Evolve 75, and I quickly received feedback that my voice didn't sound as clear as usual. I also found the headband to be uncomfortable and it has the limitation of not being adjustable. I had such high hopes that this would be an improvement over my current headset and instead I'm returning it and going back to the old one.

Voice quality is good, but noticeably less than much cheaper Jabra wired headsets. The ear pads are comfortable, but the fit is too snug for an average-sized adult male head for any length of time (over an hour?). Pairing was simple to both iPhone (Bluetooth) and laptop (included dongle). Speaker quality is excellent for calls and music. The volume is plenty adequate. My biggest complaint by far though is the range with the dongle. Unobstructed range is about 15-20 feet before words start skipping. Through a single interior wall (drywall), that range is less than 10 feet which makes it barely more useful than a wired headset. One other major annoyance is that I have it paired to both a laptop and phone and while listening to music on my phone and walking around the house (with phone in pocket), the connect/disconnect notification kept happening for the laptop, even though I was only 20 feet or so from the laptop. This makes listening to music pointless. For the price and advertised range (100ft unobstructed), this headset falls way short. I have a pair of $25 no-name Bluetooth earbuds that don’t start losing audio quality until about 50 feet through 6 walls including one exterior. I can’t recommend these unless you plan to be within 10 feet of the source at all times.

Connectivity: Turning the headset on, it immediately connects to the dongle and my iPhone. I can walk anywhere in my ~1600ft split level house with no drops. Works between my PC and phone without issue. Battery life is amazing.

Comfort: If I wear it high up on my ears, the on ear nature does become uncomfortable after an hour or two. A workaround that solves this is to wear it slightly lower on the ears, so it doesn't sit on the upper part of the ear, with the headband also slid a bit forward on the top of the head.

Sound: Calls sound great. Music is surprisingly good. No, it's not better than music focused headphones. But for background music while working, it's perfect.

Mic: Have had no complaints. A test recording of myself sounded very clear.

What I don't like:

The pause button is hard to find by touch alone. Also, turning the headset on while an incoming Skype call is ringing will answer the call, but there's a couple seconds before you can response.

I purchased the "Teams Certified" version of the evolve2 65 and the headset has all kinds of audio issues with Teams. Other people say I am very echoey and my voice is repeated. Other issues are the huge delay with audio starting (press play and wait a second or 2 before it plays out the headset), and the left ear cup has an annoying rattle.

I opened a support case with Jabra and they said they could replicate the issue and that they would have a firmware update out by the end of September. That never happened and now I only have 3 days before the return window closes. I have plenty of other issues to worry about than dealing with support about a headset. Just find something cheaper that probably works better anyway. Such a disappointing product.

Their firmware update doesn't work well with Mac. I first got it with Catalina. I had to use an app and my virtual pc to update to the latest firmware & software and almost returned it after 2 hours of trying to go through support and research online. They focus their support on commercial customers, not individual consumers. When I finally got through after escalations, they admitted complications with the mac firmware. However, it started working, and when it worked, it worked well. Updating to Big Sur, major issues in connecting on and off, to the point of not being able to use it at all. In regards to quality, also overpriced for a consumer product.

These headphones are exceptionally well built. Fit & finish, sturdiness of the components is what you would expect in headphones in this price range. Sound quality is also great, both receiving and sending.

The mic boom had to be bent out a bit when I first got it, otherwise it would brush against my cheek when I spoke.

The only criticism I have is that while it pairs easily with two devices (iPhone and PC), the handoff between devices can sometimes be erratic. For example, I'll be listening to a webinar, and a call comes in. The headphones successfully switch to the phone, but after I hang up the call, the headphones fail to switch back to the PC.

So far I have been cycling power to switch back when that happens. There might be a way to switch by hitting one of the buttons, but I have not tried that yet.

When it connects to a new audio source, it can take a half- to one second or so to ramp up the volume, which I initially thought was a bug, but in fact, is a nice feature when switching between devices with potentially very different volume levels.

I have had the headphones for about a month now. I truly love these. Due to the Corana virus I have been working remotely and these are a game changer and work seamlessly with Skype and MS Teams. My kids can’t be heard in the background and wireless distance is sufficient (40 feet) to go to the kitchen or toilet during long calls.

This was my second Jabra Evolve 2 65 in a span of 2 months.. The first Jabra was great and felt all good. Then price dropped by $30 in Amazon and when discussed with customer service they said to return and order a new one. Followed the same steps and received the second Jabra on hand.. this is where all problems started, had issues with pairing and frequent drop during calls.. The same Jabra I liked a lot is now the opposite... I am waiting for the deal again I Amazon and if I get one before the return window i will go for another new one rather stick with this.. the second Jabra. Felt as if it did not pass through quality check and got boxed (which was damage as well)...

I read the reviews I'm talking about my needs.
When I got it I was a little busy so I set it up a few days later. At first I thought everything was great. The sound quality was good. The noise cancellation was fine. The mic picked up very well.
But I'm on Zoom meetings all day long and the battery life just wasn't as advertised.
And I missed the return window by one day so I'm kind of stuck with them.

I would recommend if anybody's looking at the Evolve2 65. To look at the Evolve2 85s. That headsets Superior in every way and the battery of life is a lot longer.

Great sound quality, battery life, comfort, quick mute by raising the boom mic. The Bluetooth range is lacking, unless you use their dongle, then the range is great. It can be a bit confusing when the headset is connected to both the phone and the computer and you’re trying to switch inputs.

Also, it is annoying that the headset does a 2 second ramp up of volume whenever there is a transition from complete silence to audio playing. That means you lose the first 2 seconds of audio wherever playing a video. I really wish there was a way to turn that off.

I bought this headset for the typical endless zoom calls of working from home. What I didn't understand at the time was that all bluetooth headsets have surprisingly terrible latency (150ms+) and that ones that haven't specifically enabled low-latency codecs, like this headset (jabra evolve2 65) are even worse, 200+ ms.

The practical effect of this is that if you're speaking to another person from your good home internet connection to their good home internet connection, and you're both in the same general geographic area (say "northeast US"), you probably won't notice.

However if you have co-workers in europe, or asia, or even the other coast of the US, or if anyone dares use wifi or mobile internet connections, you will be constantly "stepping" on each other in conversation. It makes true back and forth conversations nearly impossible. You're reduced to a kind of radio-esque one-direction conversation like using a walkie-talkie. This makes the already difficult situation of remote video conferencing being a less natural way of communicating than in-person meetings even worse.

To be fair this is mostly a bluetooth problem and this product just happens to rely on bluetooth. I just wish I had understood how useless it would be for my business needs. I effectively have a $250 paperweight now.

This item is nearly a home run. Everything works very good except for intermittent static in the audio in the speakers. I’ve tried using them on another device with the same result. The firmware is up to date. I even removed the device and Jaba software and reinstalled it. No luck with clearing the static issue. Sending them back. :(

1. The boom mic is located at an angle that hit my face as I talk, causing noise. It's not really adjustable, nor is the mic ambidextrous.

2. This things weighs a ton. 4x as much as my prior Plantronics headset. I would get a neckache if I wear this all day.

3. The headset is not particular comfortable for me. The earpieces are soft but the over the head piece is contoured in a way that doesn't fit my head and is uncomfortable.

I found the ear pads and headband to be slippery and will stay in place on my head. The location of the mute button in combination with constantly having to readjust on my head I leads to being muted when not expected. The mute button is located exactly where you would grab to readjust on your head. Microphone and sound are excellent. Teams integration with Windows 7 not optimum. Requires extra steps. Suggest buying only if you are using Windows 10.

This headset works very well, the audio quality is great, my background noise is very isolated (it won't stop the sound of drinking, but that's expected) But after 45 minutes the headset gets very uncomfortable. I really wish I had gotten a headset with larger earcups because this gets to be quite distracting on my longer calls as I fidget with them and make adjustments to try and get some relief.

These are great headphones. You can connect to multiple devices, which I love because I use them for Microsoft Teams meetings as well as cell phone calls. My biggest gripe is that if I'm on a cell phone call and I start to share my screen with a coworker using Teams, Teams puts the cell call on hold and attaches the headset to the screen share. Not sure if it's the headset or Teams, but it's very annoying. I have to remember to unplug the dongle before sharing my screen if I'm on a call. It should know not to grab the device if it's already in use.

The sound quality of this is very good you can hear well while using it and you can also be heard very well by the other person, the volume controls are not easily reachable as because of Its placement and the standby mode on these is pretty bad doesn’t have auto turn off feature which others have so if you forget to turn it off after a days use you gotta charge it the next day when you need it. My major concern has been weight of this it’s heavy it’s not acceptable for the premium price you pay.

I really want to like this headset so I have a "premium" pair to choose from. But just calling them premium doesn't make them premium. These are not comfortable enough for real use. Mic X axis isn't adjustable (can't move away or towards face). While sound quality is pretty good and mic quality is great, I just can't wear this all day. I'm going to have to return them.

great product. switches in between connected bluetooth devices without any issue. used for online meeting on laptop and my iphone. "hear your own voice" feature is great. i don't need to control my voice like with other noise cancellation headset.

Noise cancellation was surprisingly good, although this was not a key point for me. Sound quality is very good and I can wear it for a long time because it's comfortable. So nice to be able to get a cup of coffee without leaving the meeting and not being attached with a wire.

The mute function is very convenient. Just raise the boom mic and it becomes mute. I gave it 4 stars because it is expensive for no reason. Nothing special except the quick mute feature. I definitely keep it as I did not find such a feature in any other brands.

Let me tell you, I had been wanting a wireless headset for the loooooongest time. I transitioned to working from home and was held down by the chord no my headset. Once I got this bad boy I could hold a phone call from clear across my house. The battery life is annoyingly fantastic. I believe that you should let an electronic device die before recharging it(it helps keep the battery life healthy) and this sucker never died. When it finally died I had already had it for 3 days. 10/10 will recommend.

Even though I received a defective piece initially, amazon was quick to replace with anew one it upon returning defective one. The best part was the shipping, received the very next day.

Good product for those working from home. Syncs easily with my iphone and laptop without any issues and the battery does lasts long time.

I enjoy them. Only 2 down sides, they pinch my ears and push my glasses into my head giving me a head ache. So I wish I could rest them on my neck. But they freak out, pausing and unpuasing. It's cool the controls, the mute and un mute is handy. Otherwise sounds really good

I ordered the UC (USB-A) Headphone model, and the box for the headphone was indeed marked USB-A. But when the charging stand arrived, it had a connector for USB-A, but SURPRISE! The headphone itself turned out to have a USB-C female connector, so of course I could not use it. I have notified Jabra support of the problem, and will return the charging stand, and suggested they try to correct the Amazon listing, but major hassle all around.

This is the poorest product I bought. Initially everything looked good. After a month issues started with using with teams. The voice keeps disconnecting every now and then while connected using the usb link 380. This behavior is same for any teams call and even playing youtube videos. I end up buying a headset less than 1/10 price of this headset for official purpose.

I have tried another brand of bluetooth headset but the comfort and microphone quality were not satisfactory to me. The Jabra Evolve2 65 have been great. Great acoustics and microphone and comfortable enough for 3-4 hour calls. Great product.

I have not found a comfortable way to wear these, they end up giving me a headache after a while. The microphone picks up everything, would not recommend these outside of a home office. I missed my window to return so I wear them one meeting at a time (mostly mute) instead of all day as I was hoping to be able to.

Bought this for my better half who's hard of hearing. Its worth every penny!
