Problem statement: my computer started lagging after a mandatory Windows 10 “upgrade”. I couldn’t open several programs at once and my computer would crash at random. I assumed it was a RAM issue so I opted to buy a stick since I had an open slot.
As some other reviewers mentioned, this is the same brand that came stock in my HP laptop (Elitebook), so I was comforted by this and the fact that this was the cheapest option per GB: Win/win
It was easy to install and when I restarted my laptop it recognized the new hardware immediately and when I checked in device manager the new memory appeared in the total RAM.
(A friendly reminder, don’t over tighten the screws upon reattaching the laptop cover, those little screws are easily stripped...)
Also, to answer one of the questions above from a user: laptop RAM is different in physical size/shape than your typical desktop CPU RAM so make sure you buy the correct item. If you are adding Additional RAM, the best way to find out what you need is to see what you already have in your computer. The two side by side RAM slots will accept the same size/shape RAM memory stick. Even though you may be planning on purchasing 8gb and already have a 4gb stick installed, those two sticks of memory are going to be the same physical size. I wouldn’t buy RAM without getting a visual on 1) how many available slots I have; 2)what the actual existing RAM configuration is. For example, in my last computer I thought since I had 8Gb of RAM that I had an available slot for another 8gb. I was lazy and didn’t bother opening the machine prior to ordering, only to find out that I already had two sticks of 4gb (not one 8gb) and I had to remove one 4gb stick to use the new 8gb stick, resulting in 12gb of RAM instead of the 16gb I was hoping for.
to sum up my product experience: Great value and certainly worth the 5 minutes it took to install and reboot.

Hynix is cheap and it works.
Everyone from Dell to HP to even Apple (yes, super-expensive-as-heck Apple) use Hynix for their OEM RAM. I've seen Hynix in their desktops, laptops and servers alike. It's Hynix all the way down.
So just buy Hynix for expanding the RAM in your device. Don't bother buying expensive Dell, HP or Apple brand RAM. Just make sure the RAM type (DDR3/4, speed, etc) matches.

I recently bought a cheap HP laptop that only came with 4 GB of RAM but had a an open RAM slot available. I knew going in that I would upgrade the RAM immediately. This RAM stick was actually identical to the one that came preinstalled in the HP machine. Same manufacturer and same model #. I popped it in and to the open slot and BIOS and Windows recognized immediately. No issues. For the price it is hard to beat if you are upgrading from 4 GB to 8 GB on a laptop with an open DIMM slot. A lot of OEMs are going to be using this exact stick.
HP model this went into is Model: 14-DK1003DX for anyone looking to upgrade the same machine.

This memory appears to perfectly fit the Synology DS220+, which Synology sells a "certified" 4GB memory
for at about $110 (!!!). From looking in detail at the synology memory close-up pictures on internet, it is clear to me that the Synology-sold memory module is made by SK Hynix as this is (absolutely identical features on chip) , and all the othe details 2666 SO-DImm, non ECC, are the same. Works fine. (upgrades DS220+ from 2GB soldered in memory ro 6GB.)

Just received the memory, came in a box labeled "Certified Refurbished". I was not expecting that. No where on this item that I saw does it say the product is not new. It should clearly be labeled refurbished if it is not.
Not worth attempting a return assuming it works, but not exactly what I was expecting.
Update: Memory tested out successful - so appears good - will update if it fails, but changing my initial rating from 3 to 4.

One of the options is for gaming, not soo much, it’s low speed laptop ram, does it do what it’s supposed yes. Are you really buying super cheap ram for a gaming laptop???, no.... it’s good ram for a laptop. Installed on my dell convertible for everyday use and works flawless. Very happy.

I really liked the price of the ram stick, and I put it in my girlfriends laptop, and it works very well. Her Dell laptop came with an amd processor and only 4GB of ram lmao, so it was necessary to get her some more. Her laptop runs a ton better now.

I originally intended to get an 8GB ram for my laptop to increase 3d and gaming performance. I didn't have enough funds for the 8GB RAM stick, so I had to settle for a 4GB stick of RAM, and needless to say, the usuable ram on my laptop only increased by 2.5GB, totaling to nearly 3/4 of the maximum RAM.

The Ram is working great. But one star less as I got the WRONG product inside the RIGHT package. You can see the Image for that error.
The Ram I ordered is Pc3 10600 DDR3 1333MHz (same as my laptop RAM) . But I got Pc3 12800 DDR3 1600Mhz from amazon though the cover reads 10600 DDR3 1333MHz.
My laptop is working properly, but the new RAM (1600Mhz) is not being effectively utilized at its maximum speed, as it has to clock down upto my existing RAM (1333MHz).
The Ram I ordered is Pc3 10600 DDR3 1333MHz (same as my laptop RAM) . But I got Pc3 12800 DDR3 1600Mhz from amazon though the cover reads 10600 DDR3 1333MHz.
My laptop is working properly, but the new RAM (1600Mhz) is not being effectively utilized at its maximum speed, as it has to clock down upto my existing RAM (1333MHz).

Received the memory with wrong specs at first, contacted the seller(SYNTRONIC OFFICIAL) and he was kind enough to correct his mistake by replacing the Memory.
The RAM with incorrect specs was accepted by my laptop which even passed 2 full Memtest86+ tests and the performance was improved drastically. But, the laptop used to shutdown with "Blue Screen of Death" at regular intervals due to some incompatible Memory issue. I contacted the seller and he accepted his mistake and asked me to send the incorrect memory back to them after which they sent the replacement in just 4-5 days.
The replacement arrived swiftly and adequately packed. Fitted it into my Dell Inspiron N4110 without any problems. Started the notebook which booted straight into windows and I used it for a few minutes all was fine, I then rebooted the machine and entered the bios memory test function(MemTest86+) which it passed fine after a few minutes or so. Booted into Win7 once again and all has been well ever since. I cant objectively claim its any faster than the previous ram but it certainly doesn't crash my laptop.

I was looking for a RAM to upgrade my Dell 1558 from 4 GB to 6 GB. One consideration was to have a RAM with similar specifications as the ones that are already present. My Dell uses RAM with frequency 1333 and a RAM with a higher frequency would have worked with my laptop, but getting one with similar specifications does adds an extra star to performance, as the existing and new RAMs would work in sync.
The only concern which I found here was that the warranty was from seller and not manufacturer, but from my past experience, if the product is from a good brand (even though it does not have manufacturer warranty), you wouldn't need that.
After installing the RAM to my Laptop, it worked perfectly, and took the new addition without any issues. The processing is faster and response time improved. So in short I am happy with the product

i have dell vostro 1450 (2014) however off late the laptop was getting hanged a lot and i had finally decided that time has come to upgrade to a new but after online research i came to know about the importance of RAM and decided to upgrade my 2GB to 8 GB first i installed Transend 4gb ddr3 1333 ram and subsequently took out the 2 GB stick and installed this HYNIX ram and guys the speed is just phenominal i am enclosing a pic where in there are 10 web pages are open and 2 you tube videos are getting streamed and still i have load of memory left and my vostro runs like super computer now , well i am not such a tech geek , just watched videos on you tube and did it myself , buy the exact type and memory of ram which suites your motherboard and processor or else it wont be useful , never use excessive force while handling , a small comp took kit to reach the ram slots is required ..

it worked with my hp dv4 1502 tu. I have installed it today so it would take time for me to review long term usage, but right now it is working fine with my laptop. Aster unsuccessfully trying kingston 1600 mhz 4 gb ram, I am happy to see this not so popular company's ram work on the first go. it even worked like a charm alongside with my 2gb elpida ram on the first go.
P.S. it helps to visit the website of companies like kingston, transcend, corsair and feed your laptop model in their page. if your laptop is in their database, they give you the model number of their rams that would work with your system. Also, people who are unsure of the brand should not be too worried as apparently this company is supplying stuff to Intel and is a reliable name in the field.

Purchased this RAM module to breath some life in to my 6 year old Dell Inspiron N4010 laptop and happy to report that upgrade worked as expected.RAM is fully compatible and works with out any issues.It also successfully passed the dell diagnostics test.

The product works fine (dual channel benefit too) though the stick is not 1333mhz but atleast a 1600mhz CL9 one. It differs in other subtle ways (technical details; keeping it brief) which one would be able to tell with the sticker markings when the product arrives. Otherwise the stick seemed unused, manufactured 2012. Took time coming over esp. tardy in being dispatched by the seller (probably, basing this on the updates I received) n then Amazon too.

The ram seller sells is not a hynix original and just a sticker on it which says its hynix but if you install a very small and famous software called "CPU Z" then you can tell its either transdence or a ki gstin ram as you can see below in pics. Despite repeatedly telling the seller that I need a hynix ram and he telling me yes he will replace it, he again sent me a kingston ram this time with a hynix sticker on it. If your old and new ram is not of the same manufacturer then it might give your laptop blue screen or will hang.

I have an old Asus k53sd series laptop which was preinstalled with a 4gb ddr3 samsung ram with another empty slot. After checking the details of that ram I ordered 'hynix ddr3 4GB 2Rx8 PC3 - 10600S - 9 - 11 - F3 1333mhz' ram from the seller 'A1price A1products'. Today the ram has been delivered and it's the same one shown in the product description page(in those pictures). Also the ram is genuine, new one and working flawlessly. Got this RAM a few days ago for my aging Lenovo G570 laptop which had pre-installed 2GB RAM. Now the Laptop is significantly faster and it's much easier to multi-task and browse the web.
Tested on Ubuntu 16.10 and it looks like it will work everywhere.

This is working great with my Lenovo G570 Laptop no bottleneck, speed also increased significantly. (I have Intel Pentium B940 processor still no performance issues.) You will not be able to see the difference on a 32-bit Operating System as they limit the amount of RAM available, so upgrade to 64-bit Operating System if you are having issues like that.

I have old N5010 Dell laptop , I increased ram from 2GB to 4GB making it total 6GB .
The new 4 GB one working fine since last 3days .
Its easy to install if you know how to add RAM in laptop.
I did not see great performance increase but slight boost as earlier the 4GB was getting full quickly with one or two app running on Windows 10.
So far I haven't seen any awkward restarts.

I was looking for something but not so expensive one because it is meant for 8 years old Lenovo X220 laptop. Amazon packaging & delivery was perfect, as always. I installed it & running for the last 2 months, no issues yet.

Bought two of these for my Dell L501x (JBL Speaker). I was quite confused before ordering these as the model seems bit different from the one already configured. But fortunately, it was a perfect match and currently i am able to see 7.64GB in use.
Improved speed for multi-tasking. Nice piece of hardware. Good packaging from Amazon.

Been looking out in the market for a RAM compatible with my laptop but either it wasn't available or the MRP quoted was too high. My search finally ended up with THEYOGI who was not only supportive and quick with my queries but also brought confidence and a sense of relief to me.
I have finally been able to upgrade my laptop to additional 4GB RAM from the earlier 2+2 GB of RAM, from which one isn't working anymore. Now I have 6GB of RAM in my laptop and can perform tasks without any issues.
No BSOD or lag till now, will edit my review after a long test.
