Overpriced
For a printer priced at 16k this does an awful job. Connecting to wifi in a pain, plus there isn't any duplex printing, something that's present even in sub 10k printers, you have to manually print on both sides.
The only plus point is that print quality is good, but I expected a lot more at this price.

Build seems a bit flimsy .... Hope body and parts won't break easily...

Low price good features
I liked the printer for its low price and excellent features. Control panel display should have been LED backlit but it isn't so. Thats a big minus point as also the 88A toner cartridge has low capacity in terms of pages printed per toner.

Thanks to amajon and hp for providing a such printer for what i was searching. It is very easy to take print from mobile. Just connect it with your mobile once and get print with ease. May it has a option to get print of odd and even pages so that we can get duplex print easily. Compact in size also

No duplex printing
This printer does not support automatic duplex printing. In product description it is mentioned that duplex printing it's fake advertising to the product.The printer software and drivers are old and does not installing.

Printer not working don't buy
Could not install after 6 hrs and by support care from HP .
Required help from Amazon.
Don't buy bcz there is no Return policy.

Good quality print
Print quality is good. At this price range good printer i must say. All the aspects are good. If that screen is provided with light means would have been even more better. Scan quality felt little low as compared to other HP Scanner.

Screen and Wi-Fi issues
Overall it is the best printer for me and you also but it cannot catch Wi-Fi properly and the the screen on it is very bright less you can't even see it with naked eyes you have torch upon it so the only think I get it from that there is a Wi-Fi and screen problem in this printer and all the print quality is best and fast.

They're shown in picture,
That it's includes 'duplex printing' but not mentioned it properly 'manual duplex printing'
They hide this line in the description section,
Which is not seen easily.
They're fooling people's.
So please beware from them.

Setup of the printer requires some amount of circus but the product is cool and works smoothly. Only negative thing is it doesn't print on both side automatically. Worth buying

Good product, sleek and sturdy. Easy to install (from CD, downloading drivers is time consuming and slow) and gives good prints. Only drawback is lack of backlight on the LED panel. This makes it difficult to read notifications

Nice cheap printer, troublesome if it goes wrong
This is a good cheap laser printer. It is black and white between 3-4p a sheet and prints both sides.
Doesn't seem to support high wifi channels 12, 13 & 14.
The lack of a screen is off-putting because you get so little feedback, the lack of any documentation is worse.
I got the printer working immediately by pressing the WPS connect button on my wireless access point and then holding down the blue flashing light on the printer.
The buttons are
* Wireless button and light (Coloured blue. Press for WPS. If blinking, it isn't connected)
* Attention light
* Ready light
* Supplies light
* Resume button
* Cancel button
Anyway the printer was fine until it suddenly wasn't on the network any more.
Turns out my wireless access point had switched to a high channel and the printer wouldn't connect any more.
Once I figured it out I forced the wireless access point to use channel 2 and then the printer was working again.
It seems that wifi channels over 11 are illegal in the USA and kit designed to be used there won't connect over them.
Here are my notes while I worked this out...
* The printer has separate MAC addresses for wired and wireless adapters
* I couldn't get a USB connection to work on Win10
* Printer shows up under "Network" as both a "Printer" and an "Other Devices". If you click the "Other Devices" icon it opens the admin web page even if you don't know the address.
* You can set a password for accessing the built-in admin web page
* Although the admin website looks rubbish and simple, it does work. Click the green "Networking" tab for all the good stuff.
* I noticed that when you use a network cable, the blue networking light goes off and the printer won't print over wifi _BUT_ the wifi is still working. You can use a wired connection to configure and test wifi. When all is well just disconnect the cable and it flips over to wireless.
* The printer will enumerate wifi networks by SSID but it seems to baulk as soon a it finds a 12,13,14 channel SSID. Until I turned off my wireless access point only one network was listed. Afterwards the printer could see the usual twenty or so networks in my street. You could try moving the printer as close to your access point as possible. You can also just type in the SSID and wifi key.

A couple of niggles.
Prints very quickly including double sided printing. Print quality for text is reasonably good but it is dire when printing grayscale (eg pictures and diagrams). Also sometimes gives darker text close to images. Overall it is fine for plain text but not for anything else. Bought it to replace an Epson laser printer. That gave much better results with grayscale printing but had its own problems mainly with paper loading.

Amazon first class - HP not so much - beware warranty trap
Have been buying HP printers for the last 20 yrs - however, not only is this a nightmare to set up but you need to check your warranty registration - I was horrified to find that there were only 10 mths left according to HP - presumably they scanned a whole delivery load to Amazon back in July and used that as the individual customer warranty start date. I've had to submit an online dispute for which I have at least a day before someone at HP will deign to get back to me. So check it out all other customers - they will try and con you out of some of your warranty - surely this can't be legal - could we hope for an admission of stupidity or someone who has now left the firm - yadayada. Not the greatest pre-Christmas gift. NUL points HP guys

HP software is the facebook of printers
Pros: this printer works as expected - USB A and C printing from Windows and OSX; OSX AirPrint; Windows Wireless printing.
Cons: driver installation on windows for wireless printing is an enormous joke. Do not accept this behavior from corporate entities. Product offers separate "Easy Start" from printer support drivers, but printer support drivers just redirect to "Easy Start". Easy Start is evil corporate software. Here is a list of associated garbage:
- Easy Start application is 9MB
- Easy Start enables telemetry by default unless a hidden menu is opened and boxes are unticked. After unticking boxes, you still must agree to their telemetry privacy policy to continue
- Easy Start fails to find wifi printer devices on separate wifi SSIDs (even if the device is on the same network)
- Easy Start offers "other important software" as part of its "full" driver installation, but doesn't specify what is different from "basic". Garbage description is provide. Full installation is guaranteed SPAM
- "Basic" driver is 57MB
- "Basic" driver won't wirelessly print unless the client machine's network firewall settings are enabled as promiscuous
- Easy Start opens a warranty/registration link (read: COLLECT YOUR DATA) in internet explorer automatically
- Skipping warrant/registration is not possible until after you've closed these windows and retried (surprise, a "skip" option is now available)
- Easy Start pressures you into registering (SPAM)
- After installing "basic" drivers, I'm informed that I can "wifi direct print". That shouldn't be necessary. I want to use normal network printing.
- After installing "basic" drivers, basic drivers make a third attempt at forcing you to register the product
- Closing "basic" drivers registration window warns you that your setup is interrupted but doesn't clarify that it's just registration being interrupted. Popup window takes priority and can't be minimised (SPAM)

Very good value for money
Great print quality. Starter toner only gives 1,000 pages but I suspect that’s the same with all manufacturers. Overall I’m very pleased with it. If you don’t need colour then this is a good purchase. Bought it in August 2019. Still on initial toner. I've done 977 pages and the text is still clear and very sharp. I reckon I'll get another 200 or so pages before needing to change the toner.
I had a Dell colour laser for 13 years. As it started to pack up last year, I could see that the three initial colour cartridges were still on 80% after 13 years. That's what persuaded me that a black and white laser is all I need so I bought this HP.

Used for a small business. It worked pretty much out of the box. I installed the wifi drivers first but couldnt work out how to link it to my wifi network despite reading the instructions, so I gave up and used the USB cable. This prompted a different set of drivers which I had to download, they weren't on CD. Once installed it whirred and clicked a lot (seemed like it was broken!) but then it settled down. When I printed my first page it was very quick. ideal for single invoices or small runs. I have had it a few days now and very pleased with the print quality. Some reviews say it has poor grey scale, but a mono laser printer isn't really for pictures, is it. It's for documents and letters. Only gripe is, if you switch your desk off at night at the mains, it has to be switched on again with the power button, it doesn't automatically come out of sleep if the mains has been turned off. Edit: After a few day's use, I no longer have to press the power button. It now remembers to power itself 'on' when you flick the plug on.

Good printer
Having had this as a replacement printer for three months now I think i can safely give an accurate feedback. This is a good everyday printer that comes at a good price and delivers excellent print quality. My only negative point is that I thought it would be much quieter than it is.

Best duplex laser
I bought this to replace a trusty Samsung laser printer that had lasted 10 years. Although the HP (Samsung anyway now) is not quite as robustly made it prints brilliantly, was easy to set up and is quiet in operation. If you want a good value duplex black and white laser this is the one to get

Perfect small printer
I needed a small duplex printer that was fast. Found it with this printer. Had a problem with the first one that was delivered but Amazon's technical support people were really helpful and arranged a return for a replacement. The second one that arrived had no problems with. Recommended it to a couple of friends.

Fast, good quality printing
Good clear print. Fast as advertised.
Installation was quite simple but you still have to use a cable for initial setup. Good grief, I was doing that fifteen years ago. (You would think there is a clue in the description "wireless".) Surely they could have improved that by now?
