These headphones fit sort of odd, I cant really explain it. The plastic on the headset broke soon, They were for my 17 year old son, so I am sure he sat on them or some such, but still they seem to be weak in that area. The sound is good

This was a used refurbish headset. I have worker professionally with audio video for over 55 years and this headset gives a wonderfully flat 20K to 20Hz. P.S. FOR LESS THAN $10.00.

Love these headphones and mic.My old pair broke after 4 years of use and so as to not find them discontinued I purchased 2 pairs this time :)

Digital sound you can get using this earphones are excellent.You can fell surround in your head with them. I recommend this article if you appreciate the real music!

(Please read the update at the end)I bought this headphone and I am quite satisfied with the sound quality. Unfortunately, HP hasn't thought about these two (2) problems.1. User's ear starts to hurt after having this headphone on for a while because the earpieces are too tight.2. After using this headphone for sometime (about 5 months), it broke into two in the middle joint. I don't see a worthy reason why HP has made the headphone to fold making the product fragile. If this happens, use Super Glue at the joint and continue using carefully.Other than those issues, I don't see any other problems with the product and I like this HP headphone.UPDATE:I re-ordered the same product recently because what I had before was broken.Surprise! What is now available has no problems mentioned before. HP has removed the hinge at the head-band to solid plastic (in other words, this headset is no longer bendable at the middle of the head-band, thus removing the one weakness of the structure). And, the material used for the ear cups are also changed to a more comfortable and durable material to eliminate the painful feeling to ears I had mentioned earlier. I think this "redesigned" product has no problems to report now.I recommend this HP headset by all means!

It snapped. In two. Probably a couple weeks after I bought it. It's still usable if you tape it back together using some stiff plastic and duct tape.. But you shouldn't have to.Otherwise, at least it was comfortable.

This fairly nice looking set was the best available from in-store options when I needed a replacement headset quickly. I don't get as good mic quality through the USB attachment, but the analog plugs worked well so I was satisfied.It's a fold up design, which helps to keep it non-awkward during non-use. Unfortunately, the design means when the headset is on, it puts a lot of pressure on the top of the overhead part (I prefer behind the head, none were available in-store). About a month after using, the headset snapped in two, the plastic hinge now worthless. If there were metal joints, perhaps it might handle the stress better or be re-attached if separated.I'll have to use with duct tape if I want to get any more use out of it. At least that is an option, no wiring runs through the bridge. Perhaps it'll last longer if you don't have a fat head.

My husband and a friend both went to the store and got this headset thesame day, both broke in less than a month, it isuite flimsy

my experience with this product:after couple of months of sporadic and always careful use, leatherette covering ear cups came undone (unglued, it seems)few months later, plastic brackets that connect ear cups to head band just disintegratedHP denied warranty, because I was not able to provide serial number (for a 30$ item!?), that does not exist on the headsetonly plus in this story is that I got rid of very uncomfortable product

Fell into 2 pieces after a month while putting it on. Hinge is worthless. Otherwise it would be a decent headset for the $$$. Not enough cushioning on top, so it hurts your head. Earpieces are not too bad...
