A beast with a minor tickle.
A beast for gaming , the gtx 1650 works charmingly , a decent battery life for a gaming laptop. The only lacking, resulting in giving it the 5 stars is its 500GB ssd storage. They could've easily provided us with 500GB ssd with atleast 500GB hdd storage.

HP pavilion 9th gen is perfect for any normal kind of work but for advanced computation i will upgrade RAM to 16 GB.

POOR BUILD QUANTITY
Im a game development student and gamer
-very very very delecate screen hinges screen shakes a lot like even to the room fan u always have to hold the screen
- no rubber edgs to the screen
It's been 2+ years i bought this series of laptop from hp (not from amazon ) at first the laptop is fine and woring good then after few months i noticed my screen had some scratches thts due to rubbing of screen to the keyboard when its folded then i relaised there is no rubber cotting to the edjes of screen where many lapops have and after few months or soo laptop body paint is going off due to same reason screen edgs rubbing to the shell of laptop and after 1.8 yrs my laptop hings are broke and then my battery is dead (thts common in gaming laptops but there no indication its all of a sudden battery has given 3hrs of backup and dead the next day)

Seller invisible, no support
Warranty is almost out as per HP record and Seller is not tracable, neither getting any help from Amazon buyer support.

Best for CAD under 75k
As it gaming laptop, long battery life expectations are less.
Display and keyboard is amazing.
I've been using it for CAD software, so it works fine. Sometimes it turns slow due to few updates, else it works best. Webcam is average quality. Bluetooth, wifi connectivity is good. You can use it for AutoCAD, Solidworks, PTC Creo, Autodesk Inventor.
Since its fans are taking air from bottom and throwing it from back, you can get trouble here due to dust near fan face at base.
I got this at 56K. Hope you'll get too. :)

MS office doesn't activate and backlit keyboard isn't as shown in picture
The pre-installed MS office is not a student version and asks for buying the license. This is not what I've been told before buying it ! You should mention it clearly. And the lights on the backlit keyboard aren't purple/violet, they are white.

Great laptop but warranty mis match
Great but there is warranty mismatch hope they solve it, so please check after receiving it.
Display is very good. battery backup for normal usage would be 4 1/2 hours.

Slow Start
HP Pavilion Gaming 9th generation gaming laptop is quite good with this cofiguraion, but it takes a lot of time to boot-up. This may be due to the absence of SSD. Apps also take much longer time to start.
Secondly, there is no partition in the hard drive to store data in different drive, so all the apps and data gets stored in the same root drive. In case, the hard disk gets corrupted, the data would be lost.
MS-Office is only 30 days trial version.
Backlit keybpard looks nice. GeForce 1650 graphic cards performs well. All othe features are nice. Overall a good laptop at this price.
Could not give 5 star only due to its long boot time.

A true beast for this price, but the battery...
A true beast at this price point. I have used this for about a month now and I can point out these things in the laptop. Read along to find out about the issues in the end.
You can literally just play any modern game within Medium, High and Ultra settings. I have played GTA 5 in the highest settings possible and it runs as smooth as a boat in a lake (a steady 60 fps). I have also played games like Far Cry 5, Battlefield 5 and about all of these top-rated and CPU/Processor-straining games, the laptop didn't disappoint me. Games like PUBG PC Lite and PUBG PC are like a piece of cake for this laptop. There is one integrated GPU (INTEL UHD 630) and a dedicated GPU (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650), so don't forget to go to 3D settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel and set the preferred GPU to the "High-performance NVIDIA" GPU.
Now coming to the boot time, its just unbelievable for a laptop bearing an HDD. The system boots up within 15 seconds(YES, UNBELIEVABLE), and within 1 minute, you are ready to rock. However, I would still recommend buying an SSD for it if you want an even faster boot.
The display is decent and extremely color-accurate, but the brightness is a bit lower than what I expected. The maximum brightness feels like it's the normal, even when indoors.
The sound quality of the speakers is just extra-ordinary. It almost feels like you are wearing headphones, and you can just perceive a virtual 3d effect while gaming, except for the loudness which the speakers lack in this laptop.
The design is sleek and relatively lighter than laptops which share the specifications.
Now, coming to the main and the most important issue of all, the battery. The descriptions claim that it can last up to 8 hours. Surely, you can't expect it to be this good for a gaming laptop after all, but what I noticed after 1 month of usage is that the battery can't even last 3 hours, even in Battery-Saver mode. YES! Believe me. And while gaming, you are just able to play for a bit less than 1 hour. I don't know if the graphics card is consuming most of it, or there is an issue with the battery itself, I do not know.
So, you have to play while plugged in or use it normally for a maximum of 2.5 hours. I really didn't expect the battery to be this less. This is the reason I didn't give this a perfect 5 stars, otherwise this is a beast. Just that it consumes more food to be the beast it is expected to be.
The summary is that with every much-more-than-expected qualities, there are much-less-than-expected drawbacks.
Anyways, I would recommend it to you, without any doubt, if you don't move your laptop around much and are ready to use it while plugged in (The adapter heats up if you leave it on too long). It will not disappoint you according to performance. Otherwise, surely don't.

Product Review
The product is very bad. After using it for 2 months, there is a small white spot on my laptop's screen, the fan area gets dusted in less than 2 months. I can play high end games when it is being charged , otherwise when I am on battery then the game lags a lot and the product's warranty is being given to me from 21st August, 2020 whereas I have bought this laptop on 5th of February, 2021. And while multitasking, the screen goes on black for a while and then it returns to the original state. And when I search something on type here to search, the keyboard doesn't work there and apart from this the keyboard works in all situations.

No Windows 10. Unable to use the system. Called Amazon fir help they told call seller, seller told call HP help centre, called HP no one reveived, unanswered.

Use this for daily college work.
Over all I really like this laptop. Been using it for three months and got no issues. The laptop has matte finish and is prone to fingerprint stains but other than that a solid computer
