I have always had a hard time shaving daily as my whiskers are course even after 1 day (An Italian Thing). I would try every razor blade and shave crème on the market. I would end up with red bumps all over my neck from the crème and cut marks from blades. Finally went to short beard and only had to trim with single blade around neck and up to ears (outline). Like the clean cut but stubby look. That worked great with a single blade cheap Gillette $10 for 10 disposable razor pack. Each one would give me 5 times or so and I have been using them for years. Usually get them at Walmart and surprised they are not available on Amazon. I only can find the high priced like this one. Gave it a try and due to the strip at top, cannot line up top blade to make clean line around neck. The other 4 blades cut ok but skin where there is no hair! I do not know how it would work as an everyday shaver. Like all shaver commercials, they always show people, especially men who hardly have facial hair in the first place, so it makes it look like everyone gets a clean shave. Not true if you have Latin or other bloodlines that grow either thick, quick or course facial fair. I tried this one and it either yanked what small hairs were there or took off skin. To many blades! I remember back when they first came out with the 2 blade shavers. That was a problem for my needs and now 5? Then throw in the price factor, way to expensive for what I need a razor for.

I bought this via Amazon because I had the spare parts for it but didn't had any way to buy the razor. It's a reusable razor sharp that if you have replacement for it, the better.

I’ve been using Gillette Proglide Razors for almost ten years and I absolutely love them immensely. Great for keeping your bald head smooth and other uses as well. FYI, I also suggest accompanying Gillette Razors with Nivea shaving gel and Nivea post shaving balm as well. Highly recommendable. I assure you will not be disappointed. I guarantee it. As the slogan says: It’s the best a man (or woman) can get!

I've used Dollar Shave Club for the past 8+ years, and have loved their executive razor blade. For some reason, they were unable to ship to my new apartment, and I had to find a new razor. This one had good reviews and a reasonable price. The price is not as good as DSC, but not bad. The difference was instantly noticeable, and I had no idea what I was missing. The shave was close, clean, and comfortable. Where the DSC razor would sometimes seem like it was pulling hair rather than cutting it, the Gillette just slides right through. I would highly recommend using this with Cremo shaving cream. I'll update if it breaks, as some reviews here seem to think it's not well constructed. Nevertheless, it makes a good first impression.

Had purchased the cartridges at a warehouse store not realizing it didn't come with a handle. This one had a coupon and was reasonably priced.
Love, love, love this razor (use the proglide cartridges, five blades, I think) for a super smooth leg. I usually shave my legs daily, but found with a new cartridge, can go two days without stubble.
Did not like this as well for the bikini line unless you're going to consistently shave as it left sharp ends on the hair. I usually wax/laser, and was just at wits' end when I shaved, so that's on me. But would be a great combo for a daily bikini line shave.

So, Now days there are a zillion choices in razors. I swear by this one in particular, In fact it works so well my wife threw out her fancy razor and started using mine! Decent price.. I son't have a 5 o'clock shadow come 5pm.. it get's all the hair with 1 pass over. If your looking at reviews and trying to decide which razor is the one to get.. I'd choose this one, my wife spent 30 minutes looking through razors and the quality and read reviews, she chose this one and I'm glad she did bc we are sticking with it.. btw, It comes with a suction cup base you can pop the razor into.. you can have it stick inside your shower or on your bathroom mirror..or just in your medicine cabinent w/o worrying about cutting yourself on the blade

I just love this razor. I have been using the Gillette Sensor since it came out in 1990. The sensor has twin blades and I have cut myself numerous times with it. I opened up package to this razor and what a difference, it feels very solid and well made. The razor has a bit of weight to it and handle easy to grasp and comfortable. I then actually tried the razor and omg it glides over my face like nothing. I have a tough beard and the sensor would get caught up and cut me. This one works effortlessly and gives nice smooth shave. It goes over bumps and chin etc nicely. I won’t be going back to the twin blade sensor ever. I recommend this razor and to give it a try, especially if you have twin blade or bic type twin there is no comparison.

After Gillette produced that man-hating commercial I swore I'd never buy a razor from them again, but .... well it turns out they are the best. Harry's in particular left me a bloody mess on at least 3 occasions, over several months. I've never had shaving cuts anywhere near as deep or long as with Harry's. And the blades lasted half as long as Gillette. They need a total redesign.
So, as much as I was determined to avoid Gillette, in the end, I went back and my face is so happy that I did. Sigh. (I don't know what I'll do if they do more of those man-hating commercials ....).

perfect. Legs are always soft and rarely get any cuts or razor burn. I pair it with a moisturizing gel shaving cream and never have any issues

I am deployed and unfortunately had left my old Gillette ProGlide in the shower and it was of course gone when I went back. So, I had to order this one because I loved the razor so much! Arrived out here faster than I expected and it's still amazing. This razor feels so smooth and doesn't hurt my skin at all! I've read some reviews of people saying it didn't come with 2 extra razor heads, like they expected. I will admit they could change the product name up a bit, but you just have to read it and look at the pictures of it. It is the handle and 2 razor heads...meaning 1 initially has to be used, so it's only 1 EXTRA razor head.

I use this razor but I could look for a better one what I do not like about it is that the longevity of it is not great at all. After about a week I switched over to the second one and now the replacements are too expensive so I'm going to look for another one soon.

This razor isn't the best I have ever used, but it's a solid choice for the price, and I don't see myself replacing it any time soon.
I use it for my face, arms, and legs. It does a great job on the face with minimal snagging, but doesn't get as close as I like for shaving legs.
I have had one of the casings around the trimmer begin to deteriorate after about a week, but otherwise, it's been fairly sturdy and a purchase I would probably make again.

Longevity of these blades is comparable to others I have tried and they fit the ProGlide base well.
