Travelled with Bronchitis & was really worried about the air pressure & my ears....pretty sure these helped a lot, compared to flying with the same illness last year & no earplanes & it was one of the most painful things I've ever experienced!

My 16 year old son has used these on his last 6 flights. After years of crying in pain during landing he has suffered no discomfort with these ear plugs in. It has changed flying for him dramatically. Well worth giving a try.

I never leave reviews, but felt I had to say how fantastic these are. I suffer really badly on landing normally, I usually go deaf for up to a week afterwards and feel like my head is being crushed. But when using these I have no problems at all. Thank you earplanes!!

Reduced my ear pain form intolerable to tolerable; price is high and earbuds are not reusable.
Reduced my ear pain from intolerable to tolerable. Didn't fix the problem completely but it surely helped a lot! Would love this if the price was reduced as 700-800 bucks for earbuds for each flight is a bit costly! I'll increase the rating to 5 stars if price is reduced in future.

These earplugs were recommended to me by an ENT doctor and they have been a lifesaver! Having never suffered ear problems previously in my life, I was surprised when, a couple of years ago, my left ear would remain blocked for several weeks after going in an airplane. It was so uncomfortable and it made me dread flying. Now I take an over-the counter Sudafed pill 45-minutes before I fly, and coupled with these ear plugs I have been absolutely fine after every flight! I even flew with a heavy cold recently and my ears were fine after the descent. A little bit more painful than usual but I didn’t get the usual month-long deafness afterwards. I order to work properly, they must be fitted quite far into the ear (your turn them inwards as far as they will go), which isn’t the most comfortable sensation, but knowing I won’t get a blocked ear is well worth the pain.

I suffered with very severe pain on my flight to Lisbon last year and after being diagnosed with ETD this year, I was worried I was going to be in pain every time I flew. I'm a huge skeptic when it comes to things like this (I'm not a frequent flyer either so I'm not aware of any tips or tricks people try when they experience eustachian tube dysfunction) but after a bit of searching, I came across these. I decided to purchase for a recent trip to Germany and although I did still notice a little bit of dullness in one of my ears after landing on the first flight I was nowhere near in as much pain as I'd been on the first ever flight without them. The journey home was an absolute dream too once I'd got used to putting them in and had no pain all the way home! The little storage pot they come in too is an added plus.
The -1 star is only because I found them a little bit painful after wearing for a prolonged time (I was only on a flight for an hour so I kept them in for the duration of the flight) so be wary if using them on shorter trips and you want to keep them in. Aside from that I was fairly impressed! Will definitely use them again.

Absolute godsend!
A few years ago whilst ascending in an aircraft, for reasons unknown, my ears didn’t equalise. This caused extreme pain until a loud screech, a small amount of blood, and what I now know was my ear drum perforating. It was the single most painful experience of my life so far... on landing, I had dull/muted hearing in my left ear for about 3 weeks which was very unpleasant. I went to see specialists who diagnosed ETD and recommended the Valsalva manoeuvre (nose pinch and blow) to help the pain, which unfortunately for me has the opposite effect as I struggle to get air out of my inner ear, rather than in.
Following a lot of research, I bought some earplanes as a last ditch attempt to be able to fly without experiencing that pain again. The next step would have been grommets...!
EarPlanes, decongestant (tablet and spray) sweets and chewing gum meant both my flights to and from the USA were pain free.
I opted to keep the plugs in all the way, yes they’re uncomfortable but no way near as painful as a perforation!
For someone who experiences mild discomfort, these should hopefully cancel it out altogether. I didn’t even have dullness/fullness/stuffiness after the flight. Happy boy.

Terrible ear pain which transfers onto my neck upon aircraft decent.... resulting in temporary hearing loss. I followed instructions and they did feel uncomfortable in my ears but that would be nothing compared to the pain which starts at around 20,000 feet right until landing. Had high hopes for these but as well as the excruciating pain I experienced, my ears felt bruised also. Tried them on 2 European flights then threw them away. Back to using the FlyFit ear plugs which are much softer and provide me with some relief from the pain.

I used these on a round trip from the UK to Canada recently and I cannot praise them enough! My biggest worry about the long flight was coming out the other side half deaf and ruining the first few days of my holiday but I followed the instructions on the packet and actually wore them throughout the entirety of the flights with over ear headphones over the top - I could still hear well and they actually made the loud plane sounds easier to deal with. I took them out once I was off the plane and had no trouble at all. I’ll be recommending these to everyone I know and will be stocking up for future flights!

I have suffered with my ears when flying for all of my life until I read up some reviews and people suggested I tried these. I am so glad I did! I have been on holiday twice this year and by following the instructions (by placing them in 5 minutes prior to departure, and taking them out when the plane is at it's highest and the cabin pressure has settled, and replacing upon descent) I now have pain free flights! All those years suffering on holiday from infections or perforated ear drums, when all I needed were these. .Sure some people might think they're expensive but they really are worth it! I already have a set in the cupboard ready for next years holiday.

I’ve suffered with excruciating pain on landing on every flight I’ve been on, it got so bad I dreaded going to visit my son in Ireland, I was a bit sceptical about these little bits of rubber, how could they possibly stop so much pain, but they did work and I didn’t suffer any pain at all, I could feel them equalising my ears going up and coming down, they truly are little miracle workers

I think I'm yet to write a review on Amazon but these things 100% need one. Every time I've flown I've had utterly excruciating pain due to the pressure in my ears when flying and then when my ears go on the plane I'm totally deaf for around 3 days afterwards so when it was time to fly again I was so nervous. After many hours of researching ways for my ears not to go I came across these and at first I was quite sceptical but to be honest at this point I'd try anything to not have that pain again. Anyways I put them in before the doors shut on my flight took off cruised to 30,000ft and absolutely no pain what so ever even on the descent down absolutely no pain I actually cried with joy my ears hadn't gone. I 100% recommend these to anyone who's flying with ear pressure problems, I will purchase the reusable pair soon as it's definitely worth the money!

I have very sensitive ears and have been deafened for a week following a flight in the past. I used these for a flight a year ago and they were perfect! I have since brought another pair for my upcoming trip and I no longer fear flying :)

I like this product but you can find them cheaper at the pound shops! Overall they did the job and I didn’t suffer from terrible ear pain when the plane was landing!

I suffer the greatest pain imaginable, when the plane starts it’s descent. But with these ear plugs it really helps , not completely, but manageable pain. Thank you

These do help a very small amount, but they were unbearably uncomfortable to wear! Still had a very painful landing experience which I can usually avoid using similar products to this from different brands. Can’t understand the hype.
