This is the first review I've ever written on Amazon but after using these for while I felt I had to write one. All my years from around 12+ I've experienced agonising pain when flying, so going on holiday always left me in pain for a couple of days after arriving and departing since I bought these I have not felt any pain at all these are brilliant. I had tried every other trick in the book but nothing helped possibly the best thing I've ever purchased.

I bought these after experiencing issues with equalising both ears, even when on a train going through tunnels. I had a flight to Italy coming up and was very worried both ears might not handle the pressure and perforate. Well, these little buggers did their job! Absolutely no issues at all, even when our pilot decided to take off almost vertical! All I would say is that you make sure you take them out AFTER the cabin doors are opened upon landing, as it can make you a bit dizzy if you don't. Also, make sure at least three of the ridges are well inside the ear canal and that they haven't been wet or left out where dust can get into them. Honestly, if you're a chronic or even just an occasional sufferer, do yourself a favour: get a pair and fly without having to go through all the the worry or the pain!

Read all of the good reviews and gave them a go.
We went to Florida so long flight and I get terrible problems with my ears. The tubes don’t inflate them self’s so poping and ringing all of the time! These were brilliant! I had no problems with my ears during the flight and my ears felt better for a couple of days lol wonder if I can use them everyday 🤔.

This product didn’t do anything for me. The plugs tickled my ears and I kept taking them out. They were too small to isolate my ears properly from the outside noise and pressure. The ribbed form factor is a joke and I would advise you to try some of the other brands that graduated to earphone like plugs. I used my cheap earphones instead in the return flight. Much better and cheaper solution for me. I’m sorry I paid for these useless plugs.

Without these, I suffer from severe ear pains whilst flying. I have used these on a 3 leg (each way) transatlantic flight, and using them according to the instructions they were absolutely amazing and I had no pain at all. VERY happy customer. They don't seem to block out people talking either, so you can hear what your fellow passengers and flight attendants are saying to you, which is important.

UPDATE - 17/11/2013 Used these on another long haul holiday to the USA and can confirm that they definitely do work (for me anyway) as I was talking to the passenger beside me on one flight and forgot to put them in and only noticed this when I began to get sore ears! On another note, you do still need to yawn etc to let the pressure equalise, but they seem to work by regulating the pressure exchange to a more gentle level.

I always suffer really badly with ear pain when flying specifically when descending. I was really concerned about my recent trip as I also had a heavy cold with already painful ears. I bought these due to all of the good reviews and what a difference! No pain at all. I could feel the pressure and slight popping around the earplugs but no pain whatsoever. I am so delighted at how well these worked that I am writing this review whilst travelling back from Heathrow airport! Buy them they really work!

For years I have had terrible problems with my ears when flying .I purchased these some months ago in anticipation of my June holiday. Having now returned from Naples and using these earplanes I have had no trouble. I followed the instructions ie inserting 1 hour prior to landing and not removing till cabin door is open. Superb and will purchase these each time I fly

I never write reviews but I feel like I should. After perforating my ear on a flight last year the pain I would NEVER wish upon anyone I was petrified of flying. I always use to her pain on descent and dreaded flying in case this happened again. Since finding these earplugs my life has changed for the best. No pain at all: I put them in before the doors shut for take off and then use them 20 mins before landing. Although I did keep them in for my last flight as was a night flight and helps to drown the sound out. I would definately definately recommend these! So comfy too

I usually hate flying because it hurts my ears so much, especially on shorter journeys to the point were my whole head feels like it’s going to explode because the pain in my ears is that bad for most of the journey in shorter flights. I have tried chewing, not chewing, sucking sweets, deep breathing, listening to music and sleeping and nothing has worked. These have been the only thing that has made flying bearable for me and for such a great price! Such a small price to pay for a comfortable flight. Will definitely be using all the time and purchasing again.

My ear drum burst during landing one year and it ruined holidays for a long time because I was so fearful of it happening again. Fast forward to 2018 when I first used these and flying is now a completely different experience. They are so easy to use and felt really secure and comfortable, simply twist them in like a corkscrew til they feel snug. Take off/landing was so easy and I now look forward to holidays. I last used them this past weekend and they didn't let me down. Such a great product and would definitely recommend to those who suffer with any kind of flight related ear discomfort.

I was worried about getting vertigo and ear pain whilst flying for the first time recently. I used these for the ear pain and they most certainly worked! I didn't put them in on the outward journey as I wasn't sure I would really need them but felt pain beginning as soon as the decent began. I quickly put them in and the pain stopped before it got any worse. Used them as per instructions on the way back with no pain at all. Will buy them for every plane trip from now on. Paired with motion sickness tablets these ear planes made the journey comfortable.

As a vertigo sufferer I was keen to take all steps to avoid bringing it on on a long flight. I put them in before take-off and kept them in all the time. They're not mega-comfortable and I did feel as though they kept slipping but it wasn't a major problem - and I didn't get any vertigo, whether or not that was due to the ear plugs I don't know but I will definitely use them again.

My teenager suffers with ear infections and unfortunately got one whilst abroad. We weren't in a position to delay our flight home so we gave these a try.
My son was dreading the flight because of the pain but the earplanes worked like a dream. He kept them in for the entire flight and managed to sleep most of the way. Whilst it wasn't completely pain free it was so much better than normal. He won't fly without them now.

I have a huge problem with my ears on flights, and these worked almost perfectly! Putting them in was a bit challenging, as the plug for my left ear didn’t quite seal. But on the two 10-hour flights that I used them on, I had no ear pain and barely any popping. Will definitely be buying these again for my next flight.

I had high how's for these after reading such positive reviews. I followed the instructions to the letter but unfortunately I had the same excruciating pain and dullness in my ear on landing as I usually do. Maybe I didn't put them in far enough but I honestly don't see how I could have put them in any further

Complete waste of money Bought these after reading good reviews. These did not work for me. I still experienced severe pain in my ears, and some loss of hearing for 2days after my flight. I wouldn't recommend them.

the product was as expected. What I didn't expect was a tiny box containg 2 earplugs, to be delivered in a box the size of a shoebox. The product itself could have gone in a padded envelope which could have been posted through the letterbox

Bought for an 11 year old whose ears hurt on descent rather than ascent. We had four flights - 2 each way. On the first flight we put them on too late, plane was descending, and they didn't work. Tears were shed and we didn't forget after that. On the next three flights, an hour before descent, grabbed nose, gulped then placed earplanes in ears and they worked as stated. No ear pain and 11 year old was very very happy.

I have not been able to use it yet because I wanted to use it for my flights but they are only 1 hour flights, and on the manual it says it need to be in for longer than that and not be removed an hour before landing or something... But I only needed something for descending and the ear pressure it gives.

I have no hesitation in recommending these to anyone who suffers from ear pain when flying. I have used Earplanes on several flights now and they have eliminated all pain and the irritating deafness I used to experience after landing. A fantastic product.

These worked really well for me, i usually suffer alot if discomfort landing when on an planes which can sometimes bring me to tears. These worked well. Very miminal ear popping but no pain in and around my ear which for me was such a releif!

Having long suffered from pain in my inner ear while flying I tried these earplugs and was amazed by the results Usually has soon as the plane starts descending l am hit with an excruciating pain in my ears, having just returned from Florida I can happily say this product works. I inserted them an hour before decent and I used them in conjunction with decongestant tables and a nasal spray and for the first time ever I felt no pain at all.

I brought as I suffer from Vertigo and was concerned with how my ears would be flying.

Wow! What a find! I have suffered from excruciating ear pain (often resulting in me being in tears during flights) followed by weeks of hearing problems every time I fly. Thought I would try these out, and they are amazing! No ear pain whatsoever and no hearing problems after flights. Will absolutely be using these every time I fly in the future!

Do work very well but make sure they are in your ear all the way ended up with one ear still being effected by the pressure on first flight as ear plug wasn't all the way in. But would still recommend if you are like me and suffer very bad on flights.

I suffer really badly when landing, with the pain in my ears, l can be nearly deaf for two or three days after. I cannot believe this is my first flight in thirty years that I have not suffered - wish I had know about Ear Planes before!!! I will never fly without them again.

It did its job well. I used it for the first in my travel from UK to India. I had pain in one ear only. May be because I did not insert it properly. My other ear was so perfectly fine. While coming back from India to UK, my both ear was fine.
I highly recommend this product. While using it, make sure you insert it to ear perfectly and without leaving any gap to escape air to the ear. Also insert it one hour before landing.

I messed up when I was 16 and did some significant damage to my right eardrum. For the last 8 years I've been unable to fly international flights without dealing with severe pain and temporary deafness on the final descent. Crossed the Atlantic with these yesterday and I'm fine.

Summary: Get this. I'm ordering more now.

Suffer terribly with ear plane when flying. These were easy to use and did help somewhat with the pain but not a great fit. I’m an average size woman but will prob try children’s size next time.
