Was looking for a 6 ohm Atmos speaker set to match my Elac center, fronts, and surrounds at 6 ohms. Mounted to a basement open ceiling per Dolby spec’s.

Old Paradigm speakers, Monitor 90Ps Phantoms and a CC350 center. A new marantz SR7013 replaced a defective unit that was a few years old. So I added these speakers on to of the 90Ps and I noticed a more fullness to the sound. Works for me.

I added these speakers to my existing 5.1 system. Overall they add a nice depth to my movies that support Atmos.
I don’t use them to listen to music so I can’t comment on that.

Compré este canal central con dudas ya que tenía un canal central Bose vcs10 que no me convecia ya que tenía que al amor mentar el volumen se quedaba abajo de las laterales.
Con esta bocina Elac debut 2, ya no se queda chica con el volúmen, las voces son nítidas en todo momento.
Tenía dudas en cuanto a los ohms que debería recibir esta bocina, afortunadamente puede recibir 4, 6 u 8 ohms. Según el manual de usuario.
Es una bocina grande y pesada para considerar su ubicación.
Con esta bocina Elac debut 2, ya no se queda chica con el volúmen, las voces son nítidas en todo momento.

I bought this speaker to upgrade my existing Yamahas center channel, Left and Right channels. This speaker sounds really good and I can hear the dialogue a lot better. I also matched it with the Elacs Debut 2.0 towers and It fiils up my room with more sound than the Yamahas satellite speakers. The speaker is “BIG” and heavy so make sure you have room in your decor and that your wife approves it. I think the speaker looks really good with grill cover off so if you don’t have little ones show them off. Don’t spend more money than needed,these are great!

This thing sounds great! I’m coming from Micca MB42XC. It’s a significant upgrade in quality! The Miccas were great for the price, but so are these. It’s significantly bigger than the Micca, which bothered the wife at first, but she got used to it in a couple hours.
I love the front-firing ports. We have limitations for placement so we are able to have this in a spot that would normally block a back-firing port. The sound difference is noticeable to say the least.
The low end is obviously better than the Micca so it integrates more seamlessly with the subwoofer. I’ve only watched a couple trailers with it. I can’t wait to watch a movie with some buddies next weekend.

I replaced an older Polk CSi3 center speaker with this ELAC C5.2 center channel in my surround sound system.
The difference was immediately obvious. The Polk center was a very good speaker and top of the Polk line when I purchased it years ago but this ELAC is a step up in clarity, imaging and separation. Voices are clear, the highs are never harsh, the mid range is beautiful and natural, and the bass is nice and tight with no muddiness or port noise.
The Cons:
It is pretty big. I have it directly under a 55" inch flat screen and it is noticeably large. Large boxes make better bass though so that is the price to pay.
Compared to the Polk, it is not as pretty. The fit and finish is flawless but not flashy. I use them with the grills off as I prefer the look.
Not really a negative but these speakers are not as efficient as some others so they require a bit more power. I am using a newer low-end Yamaha RX-V383 surround receiver though and it sounds great.
The ELAC speakers sound amazing and after a year I'm still enamored with the sound.

I already own a pair of ELAC bookshelf speakers. They sound great, so I decided to try this center channel for my home theatre set up. My fronts are Paradigm studio monitors and my sub is B&W, so the center had some high marks to hit. Once getting it set up I was very happy to hear a nice, clean, smooth response from the speaker. It is small enough to fit in the slot in my entertainment center, yet big enough to produce great sound. Good quality at a great price.

I replaced a Polk center channel with this, and I had previously replaced my NHT towers with ELAC’s as well.
My primary MO in buying/upgrading is to find the best possible value for the money, and ELAC delivers.
The improvement to clarity and sound staging was immediate. Honestly I was like damn I hope I’ll hear a difference, because my NHT’s weren’t exactly bargain basement either. So I was thrilled to hear sound come to life in a more vivid and clear way than before. I found that I needed to turn up the center channel a little bit but overall clarity was improved, as well as transparency. Sometimes I find that voices can settle into the center channel and start to lose their sense of space but the ELAC Center feels wide enough that it contributes to the distribution of sound rather than anchoring it excessively!
