Nice solid design but can’t say they add the definitive extra Atmos soundfield and am convinced Atmos is for the big boys only. I have a full 7.1 Denon amp with all the bells and whistles but am struggling to hear any audio improvement. I don’t blame the speakers! I just think you”d need to spend serious money to get the full effect.

Care was taken to pack the speakers . Arrived in mint condition and arrived earlier than expected .
The speakers themselves are average. I was honestly expecting to be blown away by the sound of dolby atmos produced by these elacs. Prior to these units I had the klipsch r-41 dolby atmos speakers and I preferred the sound from those. I'm currently driving these with a Marantz sr-7012 so the juice is there but after trying the klipsch i guess I was expecting similar results . These elacs were being sold for half the price of the Klipsch so I won't complain too much. They say you get what you pay for. I will play around with these to see if there is a sweet spot.

The ELAC Debut 2.0 A4.2 Dolby Atmos Modules does the job, however, it was only a slight improvement to a set of normally wall mounted speakers(JBL E10 Northridge E series) that I placed on top of my Elac F5's at an angle of approximately 20 degrees. The biggest improvement is the way it looks compared to the previous JBL speakers I used.

Now I can hear things fly over me. :-) They worked right out of the box. All I had to do was wire them in. Added new life to an already great setup. I am happy.

Excelente opción para Dolby Atmos, muy buena calidad de sonido. Excelentes materiales. Cumplen con su función al 100, la relación precio calidad es difícil de superar. Las recomiendo ampliamente. Muy contento con la compra.

Tengo un Sistema Marantz 7.2 Con Bocinas klipsch y el Tono de Elac se combina excelentemente con mi sonido liberando una gran Fidelidad en Atmos
Ampliamente lo recomiendo para mejorar tu teatro en casa sino puedes poner bocinas empotradas en el techo

I couldn't make it work as it's advertised. When it's not in optimal position and angle, the speakers actually make sound worse. I liked how it looks on floor standing speakers though.
Going to grab b5.2 and install them as front or rear height speakers instead.

They fill the room with ambient sound bounced off the ceiling. With my Yamaha amp I can simulate 7.2.1 sound which has made rear surrounds a moot point.

I do not do many reviews, but I want to give my experience and thoughts on these Elac Dolby Atmos speakers.
I added them to my home theater system a few weeks ago, and I'm extremely happy and satisfied with them.
I have an Onkyo receiver, large McIntosh speakers front and back, a JBL Center speaker and a nice powered sub woofer. The Elacs sit atop my front McIntosh floor sitting towers, and it is perfect placement for my 14 ft. wide room. (my normal viewing listening position is about 15 ft. from the TV and front speakers, and about the same distance from the rears.)
Best I can describe the Elac function is to fill in the ambient sound, the things that can get shuffled and muddled in any speaker system. Movies sounds are highlighted, and even some sports have noticeably enhance sound (Directv has an option for feeding Atmos to the receiver).
I'm very happy with this purchase, and I would recommend them to anyone with the proper home theater receiver.

I was reluctant to purchase these because I've always kept the discipline of making sure all speakers are the same brand atleast. Then I realized that the Atmos speakers only handle a relatively small amount of effects so brand matching would not be necessary at all.
I ended up grabbing these just to experiment with. They were $189 when I purchased them early Oct 2019.
As shown in the photos, I have these paired with the Polk T50 Tower speakers... These speakers are slightly deeper than the T-50s so I used double-sided tape to adhese them to the T50s which are actually bolted to my floor.
I am driving these with the Pioneer VSX-LX503 and all I can say is they sound great. Using the calibration tool in the AVR, I was able to pinpoint the distance, levels and location for my specific room.
A much needed upgrade to my previous 5.2 system.... For very little money. Highly recommend!

Great Atmos elevation speakers. If you have an appropriate room, these can add heights to an existing surround setup for very little money. Most modern receivers have Atmos support, so this is the ‘easy’ way to see what an immersive soundfield can be like.
I have Elac UB5 for L/R a Unifi UC5 center and some Mirage FX for sides, plus 4 Martin Logan Dynamo subs (I like sooth bass, so they are placed for room mode reduction), all in a re-purposed bedroom that is the upstairs media room. It is a tough room, as it is nearly a cube (12’x10’x9’) but the ceiling is the right height and reflective.
I recently upgraded to a Denon X3600H receiver, and figured that for $200 adding the heights would not be high-effort, just slap on top of the stand-mounted UB5’s and they’d be at the right place.
Being coaxial drivers, the cohesion of the sound from tweeter and mid-woofer are nice and smooth, and given that we’re bouncing the sounds of the ceiling, best to have them coincident from the start.
After re-running the Denon/Audyssey setup and calibration, I watched clips from several UHD BluRays with Atmos tracks, as well as the Dolby Atmos Demo disc, and the immersive bubble is quite good, with height sounds cleary arriving from ‘above’, but maybe not quite as pinpoint as my main Home Theater room. For this small room with a 5.4.2 setup, the sound is amazingly good for the low (relatively speaking) investment. Glad to enjoy the added immersive soundfield, even on non-Atmos music and movies, as the latest Dolby Surround Upmixer is near-magical in its effectiveness.
As a point of reference to my review, I also have a full 5.4.4 Atmos rig in my Home Theater room (16’x26’x10’) that has 4x JBL SCS8, which are the same Atmos height speakers you find in commercial cinemas, and that delivers a more distinct height imaging thanks to actually being mounted overhead and there are 4 of them. However, If you just relax and watch a movie, the Elac Atmos speakers do a good job and are a great value. Recommended.

The build quality is excellent on these, they feel every ounce of their weight. The units are big and boxy and as some reviews mention may not be to everyone's taste, but from a sound perspective are great. The quality shows, the body is sleek and clean, the lines are sharp and solid.
In our room it makes a huge difference and creates that envelope that just slips over top of you and covers the room in delicious atmos goodness.
If you have odd construction, sloped ceilings or extremely tall ceilings that will likely be a problem. Be sure the speakers are unobstructed when pointing up, for example if they point up at a fan or a beam or a skylight you have defeated the purpose.
Likewise, make sure you calibrate your system once you get these with audyssey or ypao or whatever you have, do the multipoint setup, you do yourself a disservice if you don't.
-- wanted to add to this after going through various tuning and tweaking, I found that the best performance and sound came from setting the crossover frequency to 200Hz on these for anyone setting these, a lot of ht enthusiasts recommend trying 110-200, I found them to come alive at 200, but room conditions change what you hear so try for yourself.
