Conoscendo denon non ho avuto alcun problema ad acquistare il prodotto avendo a casa un lettore cd della stessa marca l'unico dubbio era se era un amplificatore solo Hi-Fi e che non avesse sintonizzatore ho Bluetooth ormai è un bel Po che lo ascolto e posso dire che è un ottimo amplificatore di fascia medio bassa ma potrebbe tranquillamente far suonare casse anche di livello maggiore

Eigentlich war ich beim ersten Probehören von diesem Amp begeistert. Die Bässe kamen knackig druckvoll und die Höhen seidig kristallklar. Im Mitteltonbereich erschien mir das Klangbild allerdings etwas farblos, aber insgesamt hätte man damit gut leben können. Doch dann kam die grosse
Enttäuschung; Bei allen von mir getesteten Medien (Radio-Stream, TV-Signal, CD) wurden alle gesungenen oder gesprochenen S,Z,F-Laute von einem unerträglichen Zischen begleitet. Der Profi-Sprecher Michael Hansch fing plötzlich an zu lispeln!
Ich hatte an meiner Konfiguration nichts geändert, also müssen diese den Musikgenuss zerstörenden Geräusche vom Verstärker ausgehen.
Schade eigentlich, da er für diesen Preis ohne dieses Manko ein guter Kauf gewesen wäre. Leider ging er dann aus diesem Grund wieder

En mi caso, sin ser un experto audiófilo y con un presupuesto ajustado, me han servido para conectar unos Bose 301 Series I (70W - 8 Ohm) del 82 que restauré hace unos meses. El resultado es estupendo, un amplificador robusto, de buena construcción y sin "extras" que podrían repercutir en la calidad de la electrónica.

warm powerful sound.
great product only meant for stereo setup. It is a product meant for sound quality without other functions like fm Bluetooth nor USB input.
pros:
It has power to drive floorstanding speakers also.
warm sound signature with forward mids and mild highs. Bass is powerful.
no heating issue.
tone controls like bass, treble and loudness.
also direct mode for sound purity.
it can even make bass light speakers sound good. like yamaha ns333...
Also it never makes any speaker to sound harsh.
Cons:
not a exciting sound like martanz.
not a neutral sound signature, so have to carefull while selecting speakers. That means bright speakers like dali, polk or elac 6.2 may sound good and neutral. Warm sounding speakers like diamond 225 or boston acoustics a26 may sound too warm or bassy...( but you can control bass to make them neutral)
sound stage is average.
instrument separation is average.
if you want neutral or brighter sound go for yamaha or pioneer.. want very colorful engaging sound go for martanz...
so this denon 520 is for people who like warm, easy listening.

Absolutely superb all-round build, sensitivity and listening quality - especially for this price and having a remote is great! Unlike the previous Pioneer amp which this Denon replaced, no switch between the main output and headphones. (As is usual, the speakers cut out whenever the headphone jack is inserted.)

I've dad one of these for a couple of years now (since getting back into vinyl). Originally, I had a pro-ject elemental turntable and it sounded amazing (plus a pair of Mission speakers). Just recently upgraded to the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon 3 turntable, and it's even more amazing! Can't recommened this amp highly enough.

Takes far too long to power on, and the standby feature is infuriating. Not suitable for on-desk use at all. Sound quality isn't great. Ended up returning this.

I bought a Pioneer hi-fi amp about twenty five years ago and it served me well. Recently it kept dropping out, so one of the speakers would be silent, which was very annoying.
Anyway, I replaced it with this amp from Denon and I was immediately impressed with the sound quality it gives through my Mission 763 speakers (also 25 years old). The sound is so rich and well defined, it makes me think I should have bought this amp years ago.
Very happy and definitely recommended.

Very good bit of kit, just wish the bass control had a little more effect. Also would like Bass/Treble on the remote control. However this should last many years and well pleased with the quality

I use this amp with an interface connected to my PC, and it has been getting regular use since I bought it. The sound quality is great, there are some very simple controls on the front to shape the sound, and it gets loud if you really want it to. I have it paired with some old KEF speakers and cranking up the volume sounds wonderful.

Our ancient Sony music centre finally packed up so I bought a sound labs turntable a while back and now this amplifier. I am very pleased with this - probably the best £134 I have spent. I have a CD and TV running through it too and have hitched up the surround sound speakers all to the single speaker output pair. Life may have been a bit easier with the more expensive 720AE as it has two pairs of speaker outputs but I am very happy with this.

Denon - what can I say. Looks great and does exactly what you'd expect. I haven't lgot bored yeat watching the motor adjust the volume via the remote. Great clarity and volume, it'll power much more powerful speakers that I have. I'd thoroughly recommend this product.

I really like this Amplifier. It is intelligent enough to switch its self off at night. Good sound quality as long as you dont want it too loud. I truely recommend.

Doesn't have a mains on/off switch. This means it's always on standby, which is a waste of electricity and a fire risk.

Have had a number of different amps previously and am currently running an Onkyo but wanted another for my turntable in my "man cave"

Dunque, innanzitutto io venivo (per esigenze di comodità) da un amplificatore per home theater che usavo anche per la musica. Che cosa mi perdevo!
Quando ho raccontato ad un mio amico che ero interessato a questo amplificatore e gli ho detto il prezzo mi ha messo in guardia dicendo che il prezzo è da entry-level. Però ero sicuro delle recensioni che avevo visto online e ho proceduto all'acquisto e ora sono contentissimo. Mi ha davvero stupito per la qualità sonora, la solidità dell'apparecchio, che tra l'altro scalda pochissimo. L'unica pecca è che non ha l'ingresso digitale, ma in fondo a me non serviva, quindi pur esistendo alternative allo stesso prezzo (vedi Onkyo) con l'ingresso digitale, ho preferito il Denon perché un buon DAC costa soldi e credo che Denon abbia messo tutto il valore nella qualità audio anziché disperderlo in tante componenti mediocri. Quindi per certi versi è una pecca, ma complessivamente è un vantaggio perché ad un prezzo basso mi sono portato a casa un dispositivo che ora mi regala suoni fantastici, ben dettagliati e molto piacevoli. Posso dire che dovrò riascoltarmi alcuni pezzi che in passato avevo sottovalutato perché solo con questo impianto sento certe sonorità che prima mi sfuggivano. Inoltre finalmente sento una differenza abissale tra una sorgente quale Spotify free e un MP3 acquistato su iTunes, per non parlare delle sorgenti decompresse.
Lo uso in accoppiata alle casse Indiana Line Tesi 261.
Per ora ci ho collegato un giradischi AT-120USB e il mio notebook (che ha una buona scheda audio).

Took the plunge and bought this amp after quite a bit of research I've now got it connected to my turntable and Q Acoustics 2010i speakers wow what a difference even better when plugged into my iphone using a RCA to 3.5mm jack lead plugged into the AUX input base sounds great give it a try you won't regret it 😃

Set up in 5 minutes and connected to my new Dali Zensor speakers. Great sound quality and great value for money. Quick delivery. Just arrived today and so haven't figured out all the functionality yet. Agree with all the other positive reviews.

This is my first separate amp. I have only had whole piece stereo's before but i knew separates were better. This amp sounds fantastic.It only powers a ps3 through a couple of wharfdale valdus 500's but it has made my listening experience so much nicer. Also loud enough to shake the roof off. Sounds very sweet at low volume too. Recommend it highly.

Questo amplificatore è davvero un ottimo investimento: con una spesa "irrisoria" si può acquistare un oggetto solido,valido e che rispetta la aspettative. Il suono è caldo,equilibrato,il pannello frontale è di facile utilizzo e il telecomando permette di scegliere la fonte e regolare il volume comodamente seduti (il telecomando controlla anche un eventuale lettore cd Denon qualora lo possediate),mentre il pannello posteriore è quanto di più ordinato ci si possa aspettare. Le molteplici uscite permettono di gestire svariate fonti,dal lettore cd al computer o ad un lettore mp3 portatile,mentre l'uscita phono- dedicata ai giradischi- permette l'ascolto degli LP con una fedeltà davvero sorprendente.
Personalmente mi ritengo pienamente soddisfatto e in parte sorpreso dalla qualità elevata sia nella costruzione sia,come detto prima,nella riproduzione. Per chi avesse dubbi riguardo il wattaggio posso solo dire che per un uso in appartamento è moooolto più che sufficiente,e anche l'ascolto in cuffia è superfedele.
Unica nota negativa riguarda Amazon che questa volta l'ha cannata alla grande spedendomi un oggetto USATO quando invece è stato venduto per nuovo (lo scatolone era aperto e poi richiuso,il cavo di alimentazione e il cd col manuale erano aperti e usati).Non ho richiesto la sostituzione poiché l'amplificatore non mostra segni o usura e funziona perfettamente.

Der macht ein Riesen Sound. Klarer, kräftiger Bass, kein Brummen oder sonstige Störgeräusche. Einfache Wahl des Musik-Einganges. Einen Standby-Modus (kann auch abgeschaltet werden) der den Verstärker nach einer halben Stunde ohne Musiksignal in Bereitschaft schaltet. Einen Stern Abzug, weil er sich nicht wieder von selbst einschaltet, wenn wieder ein Musiksignal ansteht. Hier muss dann unnötigerweise die FB benutzt werden.

Il Denon PMA520AE ha avuto l'ingrato compito di sostituire l'amplificatore del mio vecchio impianto, in abbinamento a casse acustiche molto performanti (satelliti e subwoofer). . Conoscendo la qualità dei miei diffusori, ho scaricato da internet files audio per il test di amplificatori e casse acustiche che ho usati proprio per testare la risposta del DENON 520AE alle varie frequenze. Risultato perfetto, una dinamica molto ampia, con una risposta lineare delle frequenze basse/medie/alte. Il rapporto qualità prezzo ne fanno un prodotto molto valido.
