- + долго выбирал монитор но выбрав этот не пожалел)))архаичный дизайн,что по мне плюс не броский не отвлекает не блестит(пластик)хороший матовый экран на IPS матрице.взыл его потому что 2311 был на 4к дороже.отличная цветопередача(особенно после настройки)супер подставка-регулируется как угодно,даже в портретную позу...

I'm using this monitor as a 2nd monitor on my 2011 iMac. It works great and the picture is clear! I do a lot of work in Adobe Illustrator and some programming in Perl and R, so having a 2nd monitor is a big help. A quality monitor is a big asset especially when doing work in Illustrator and R. I'm very pleased with the picture on this monitor.TIP FOR MAC USERS: I found the colors a bit washed out (under-saturated) using the factory settings. I changed the brightness and contrast settings on the monitor to something more pleasing, then finished the calibration using a custom color display profile (found in the Displays section of System Preferences). It now closely matches the brightness, contrast, and saturation of my built-in iMac monitor.Just a few cons, considering this is a budget monitor:1. DVI cable is not included. I had to purchase one separately when I discovered that one did not come with this monitor. DVI is a bit better at faithfully reproducing colors and minimizing artifacts produced by analog VGA connections. To most people, it's not a big deal. If you use graphics software frequently, such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, it does matter. Plan on buying one.2. Monitor stand only tilts slightly. Be prepared to get a monitor stand that suits your needs. There is very little position adjustment that can be done with the built-in stand.3. No built-in speakers or USB. Not a big deal in my case, but maybe something others would consider to save space in their office setup.

First off, this is a great multi-purpose monitor for the price. The display comes across clean and vibrant. Like the title states, I mostly use this for playing PC games such as Skyrim and the images look amazing with the CPU that I'm using. The monitor itself is very slim and light just like they advertise. What they don't tell you (and what is preventing me from rating this 5 stars) is that the base this monitor comes with is a little too slender. I noticed immediately after getting it set up that any movement on my desk such as pulling out my keyboard tray for example would cause the monitor to wobble. It's not a deal breaker for me personally but someone may find it rather annoying. Other than that, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Pros: Full HD 1920x1080 resolution shows great detail, text and images are crisp and clear, anti-glare coating is very effective and reduces eye strain, fast 2ms grey-to-grey response eliminates ghost images in fast moving images, DVI to HMDI adapter is included with package, slim and attractive appearance, LED-lit design uses less energy and lasts longer than other LCD back lights, low power design runs very cool compared to 26" LCD on my workstation.Cons: The included DVI to HMDI adapter sticks out too far and does not face downward which causes extra gap when placing this up against a wall or panel, no VESA connections for alternate mounting on wall/monitor stand, the anti-glare coating saps a bit of color "pop" from images, the stand is somewhat wobbly and has no height adjustmentConclusion: This unit is an excellent value in a general use monitor for my child to do school work, surf the web, create digital art and play an occasional game. It simply would not work for anyone who wants to use a wall or stand mount. Photo editors wanting truer colors on a budget should consider the excellent value of a Dell U2412m e-IPS display instead. I really like this monitor, a good improvement over the 6 year old 19" tv I was using as a monitor for my computer. I love that the resolution is a full 1920x1080, and it is a very sleek looking piece of hardware. I haven't found the bottom to be to spindly so as to not support it well enough, in fact I've knocked the table quite a few times and never worried about it tipping or wobbling a lot. The problem I do have is if I adjust the colors at all to anything besides 100 100 100 I get a purple blur on black text that scrolls against a white background. Quite annoying if I try to adjust the colors to give it less of a green tint. Other than that, it's a pretty solid little monitor.

I've had this monitor for more than a year and it just gets better. initially i was using VGA which looked good. then i was using this with my xbox which looked really good too. then i upgraded my graphics card on my PC and started using DVI and still looked good. Now I used this monitor with the latest generation xbox's hdmi and it looked very good too! the other handy feature is that this monitor WILL convert HDMI audio to analogue audio. In other words you can put hdmi with sound into this monitor and it will convert the audio and output it via 1/8 jack so I could plug it into my stereo. Resolution is 1080 which is awesome for PC or xbox. I've used it for gaming and movies on both and it looks good. I'd really use this a lot for those purposes if I didn't have a 40" tv too.Haven't had a single problem with it either other than the idiotic screws on VGA and DVI but thats a problem with those inherently and not the monitor. The other thing is that in the gaming mode preset and maybe other modes, it will change brightness a bit randomly (very noticeable), and until i figured out it was due to the preset it was in.I picked this up for 150 new and was a steal. It doesn't have a webcam but oh well i have a usb one anyways so no big deal for me. There is 1 HDMI, 1 VGA, 1 DVI, a 1/8 audio in and 1/8 audio out slots for a dell sound bar (but no power slot). It can tilt forward and back but not be raised or lowered.Overall, if you're in the market for a new monitor in this size, definitely consider this one (or ones from this class if they are similar). I switched from a CRT to this and it makes A HUGE difference. I hate using monitors that are anything smaller. Great for multitasking (combined with Win7) and gaming alike. I would buy another if I could find a new one somewhere...

This is a great monitor with great picture and resolution. I like the power button it almost feels like it is a touch screen button (so I don't confuse you this is not a touch screen, and the power button is below the screen). I have it pared to my Dell XPS 8500 with a 1gb graphics card. I love it. I am very glad I made this purchase and would buy it again. Im using VGA right now but I ordered a dvi cable for it. It comes with a VGA cable and an adapter to go from hdmi to dvi, it has a vga and dvi plugins.

I bought two of these monitors to connect to a Dell docking station. The set up easily, and look nice. Everything works as it was intended to. My only issue is that the plastic frame around the outside of the monitor pulls away from the screen a little as they're being handled. It doesn't impact performance at all, and now that it's set up, it will likely never be an issue, but it made me worry about the overall quality of the product.

Really like this monitor. Very nice how slim it is; very good quality. The only comments:- Don't use with VGA cable; lot of noise- HDMI or Displayport (use adapters) works great!- initial (dynamic) setting turns out to be annoying with pictures etc. I would turn that off... Find a right scheme, and you're good to go.- Like more people say; it is not really sturdy on it's foot. I ended up letting it lean against my laptop, which makes it fine. It is no concern of it tipping over, but gets a little shaky when you hit the desk.

I usually don't review products because most products already have so many reviews on them. This one however is lacking in reviews which made me doubtful about purchasing it. I found some reviews on the dell website but I wasn't sure how accurate those were; but I decided to still give this monitor a try and I'm glad I did. This is by far the best monitor I have used! I have two of these set up (both of which I purchased from amazon) for my gaming/hpc rig. I've been using them for a few months now and haven't had any problems. They both arrived in great condition and the image quality on these monitors is superb! I have them both setup using DVI cables and these monitors were really easy to setup. If I ever need another monitor, I'll definitely buy this one again. It makes for an excellent gaming, productivity and general use monitor (buy two to get a much better experience)!

If I had to criticize this product, it would be the glossy black plastic surrounding the screen. It does pick up some reflections and that can be distracting.Here is what I like.This is a well made, good quality product & It sits solidly enough on its base. The screen is well proportioned and I find the screen real estate vast. From most angles one would use this monitor it has strong colors, contrast and is bright and clear. From about 45 degrees to the sides it gets a bit yellow and dimmer but I have never needed to use a monitor that way.It uses very little power and it stays cool with no heat coming of it at all.This is a great product and very good value for money.

Purchased this place of a similar IPS monitor for faster response time. All the other monitors within this price range had vibrant, clipped colors. Not this monitor - in fact from a percecptual standpoint, this monitor conveyed CIE spectrum remarkably well. The purple line wavelengths appear really balanced. Monitors cannot produce short wavelengths and instead generate them by combining red and blue. Many LCDs will gravitate towards the extremes to "round off" purples. Again not this monitor when set on the "standard" preset. But that's besides the point here... what did I want to say?This monitor is so easy on the eyes of one who suffers from astigmatism. It's been worth the extra cost.

Many pointed out that these monitors don't have a very stable base and that is true but I don't have an issue with that because my monitors are stationary and that never presents a problem for me. They are incredibly light and slim, have a sleek design and have a great resolution. I got two of them for $260. I am very happy with the purchase

I bought two of these to use for work and absolutely love them! The colo on them is great, its decent for movies, but as work monitors the white balance is exceptional. My only issue with it is that my laptop wont work on them for some reason when using HDMI.

For the price (less than $150.00), this is a very good monitor. The picture is bright and clear although with a slight (almost unseen) color/light saturation along the edges. Setup is a breeze with easy monitor adjustment controls allowing for varied viewing conditions. It has a 2ms response (pixel color change) capability for better response for fast gaming situations although unnoticeable in most instances. This monitor is very thin using minimal space. The stand is a bit lightweight allowing for only tilt ability...no up/down. Still, a good setup altogether.Overall, this really is a nice monitor...very capable and sufficient for most viewing needs. Again, for the price, this monitor can't be beat!

Very nice screen, size and screen quality. The fact that it is pretty slim also adds a certain elegance to it. The only thing I would warn is that due to its slimness it seems more fragile than other screens of this size ( 21.5 inch). Otherwise its a great screen for the price being offered.

And excellent product and at the best price around. It came delivered first rate and even earlier than promised.I rate Dell monitors as the best and most dependable. The LED display is bright and the whole unit is a fraction of the weight of a previous Dell flat screen.

The screen is very nice and very wide. It looks a lot wider proportionally in person than in the pictures. I have no big complaints with the screen, although it is very simple. It has 4 touch buttons at the bottom that control menus, and a touch power button, all of which are very responsive. The stand is simple but looks nice, takes up little room, and is sturdy. The screen only has the two ports on the back, and a power input. Overall a very simple, clean cut product that I would recommend especially for the price.

Have mine for a week now. Nice monitor, set it up using c-nets calibrations. Pros: Easy to set up and use, nice bright picture, fantastic looking games, fast 2ms response, low power consumption.Cons:Rather flimsy stand. Only tilt no hight adjustment. For the price you can't beat it.

UPDATE:Using DVI, the video card can indeed control the scaling, but there is a significant amount of compression artifacts when viewing dark scenes. Images that have a gradient fill to pure black (such as the Windows 7 startup animation) show very clear borders instead of a smooth glow. The EA logo in Crysis looks rather nasty as the should-be-black compression artifacts are clearly visible. These do not appear on the HDTV, so it is the monitor's problem.I got this monitor for my gaming desktop because I wanted to be able to clone the display on the desk and on the HDTV that is nearby. It works great, I no longer have to worry about changing resolutions. I was hoping to get a monitor with a component input so I could plug the Wii in when the TV was in use, but those monitors cost an extra $100 just for that. I saw this was on sale via lifehacker and jumped on it. While searching the menu, I came across the "Color Format" setting, and was surprised to see it had an option for YPbPr. YPbPr isn't ever used in VGA, DVI, or HDMI, it's what component uses, why is there an option for it? So, soley on a hunch, I cut and stripped an old VGA cable and a component cable. I connected the RGB and their respective grounds to the component's RGB and grounds and plugged in the Wii. The screen turned black, and seconds later, the Wii System Menu appeared. No need to worry about sync, it somehow knows to pull it off the green/luma. This can monitor can decode component out of the box. At less than $200, that's a steal. Just grab almost any VGA to component cable and set the monitor to YPbPr and you can use it for Wii, PS2, watching TV (from a cable or satellite box), or anything else with a component out.Pros:It decodes COMPONENT!!The monitor has 5 buttons. A power button on the front, and 4 unlabeled buttons on the side. Push any of the side buttons and the menu will appear. Between the menu and the physical location of the buttons, it will have icons depicting what each button does (Up, Down, Accept and Back). This is good because you never need another light source to check what button you are pressing.You can also assign hotkeys to those buttons. Example, make holding down the top button jump directly to the input selection.It has an audio in and audio out, but no speakers. They exist so that the monitor can pull the audio from the HDMI and send it to your desktop speakers.The menu is relatively large with many options, including color adjustment.Cons:The box does not include a DVI cable.The monitor does not automatically detect the display scaling. You have to go deep into the menu to switch between 4:3 and 16:9, there is no auto, there are no other ratios. I am still using VGA, so I do not know if the video card can control the scaling.

21 months after purchase, a flashing pad lock showed up on the screen and no amount of effort or research on line has enabled me to fix this, despite numerous suggestions. The flashing pad lock is a known problem going back at least 3 years. Type "flashing pad lock" in Google to confirm this. I think it is strictly a hardware, not software problem, maybe associated with the settings switches on the edge of the unit. Today the monitor quit entirely. Of course it is beyond the 1 year limited hardware warranty. If all you want is one year from a nice desktop display, this unit is fine. If you think it should last longer than a year, look elsewhere.

I have two of these monitors and am very happy with them. They look great, are pretty frugal in their energy use, and don't strain my eyes too much. They have all the connections that I need and the range of tilt adjust-ability is great. Both HD and regular computing content looks vivid and accurate. The contrast and black levels are also very good.21.5" is an ideal size, for most use in a dual screen set-up. Any larger and it takes too much of your time managing the real estate. Any smaller and you can't fit 2 documents open next to each other comfortably.I highly recommend these monitors.

The first one I bought directly through DELL. Loved it so much that I bought another... even with me jumping platforms from PC (hate Dell anymore) to Apple, I still am going to buy another of these monitors. Great clarity. No buzz (I am very sensitive to sound). Great price.

my brother got me this for my birthday cuz i needed a monitor for my new desktop. I ended up putting my ps3 on it also and i played the whole of Final Fantasy XIII on it. it could show its 1080p quality very well. Now I play WoW on this and just for every day browsing and its the perfect size for my computerCon: all the ports are on the bottom of the monitor so it is very inconvenient to plug things into em.

I've had this monitor for a couple of months now. I don't want to jinx myself but this monitor is still going good. I don't need any high-def stuff. I just wanted a decent monitor and I'm OK with this so far. Price was on sale when I got it though made it better.

The stand goes on fine but the instructions as to the tilt function were not in set up manual.You do have to press on the big dell symbol on the back and no force required it tilts. Sounds strange but it worked!Just press on the top part and it works....other people on different sites said to "force it", etc, just bought this but not from Amazon, just giving a little advice thought it would help.Color great, old sound bar didn't fit but the new one will.
