- - Техподдержка D-Link неадекватная. Вместо поиска решения проблемы посоветовали покупать оборудование других производителей.
Не работает с видеорегистратором CP-CAM - не идет пинг, не заходит. Со старым DES-1016D все работает нормально. Сначала в сервисе отпаяли некий чип отвечающий за QoS и Dlink Green(функция отключения неактивных портов для экономии энергии) - не помогло. Далее техподдержка D-Link начала мне доказывать что проблема...

Remodeled our house a couple of years ago (Down to studs et al.) and installed a structured wiring system. Originally installed a Leviton router and switches. They were somewhat expensive but I thought I might as well as stay in the Leviton line as most of my other components were Leviton. After having gone through 2 routers and multiple switches I gave up and went with a D-link router and this switch. Couldn't be happier so far, no need to daisy chain, much less expensive, and system is performing great. Had to do some minor mods to this box to get it to mount up to my Leviton Structured Media Center but no big deal.

This unit was installed in an equipment rack so the "ears" were installed for bolting to the rack. There was a minor issue as the pair of holes on the ears did not line up perfectly with the holes on the equipment rack. Only able to use one machine screw on each side. Not sure if the problem was with the ears or the rack but the spacing is an industry standard so don't understand why.

Certainly not the most expensive 24 port switch on the market this D-Link fits the bill with jumbo frames, QoS (factory configured) and gigabit connectivity. For $175 I am satisfied with my purchase. As a network administrator I spend my day dealing with configuration so when I come home I don't want to think about unnecessary details like switch management. It replaced an 8 port gigabit D-Link that I have used for over two years (Still works fine so I replaced a friend's aging 10/100Mbps Linksys with it). The current model has the white faceplate as others have mentioned. No fans so it is of course quiet. Does it rip? Do you mean does it conform to the specification? Yes. I have at least 12 ports occupied with high bandwidth traffic (multiple streaming/gaming/filesharing) at peak times and no issues. With a DOCSIS 3.0 Surfboard, a linux firewall running on a 2Ghz PC and this switch I have no hiccups.My one complaint: What in the living **** were you smoking when you cut the corners on the port status LEDs? 6x4 when the ports are 2x12? Yes I can read the numbers. But this is the only switch I have encountered with a LED layout that has absolutely nothing in common with the physical ports. I guess it's in my closet now so I don't have to look at it but I'm calling you out on that nonsense, D-Link!

I got this for all my networking on my house. I have it run behind the wireless router and next to my POE switch for all my phones. This works great and haven't ever had any issues/downtime with it. Never even restarted it in several months of constant use/ownership. I have a lot of stuff going through it (32 camera surveillence system, smart home system, phone system, fax system, several servers, etc). I have CAT6 and have a super fast network with it despite all the load I put through it.

I had to replace my old eight port router because of a power incident at my home (it got fried). I bought this to get a few more ports and noticed that I can get a link quicker. It doesn't take up much room on my desk, and I like that too. I've had it a couple of months now and it has worked flawlessly.

I replaced two tp-link 8 port gigabit switches with one of these 24 ports, it made the network a lot faster. Despite the gig interconnect between the old setup, the dlink switch is a much better solution.I look forward to this unit running for years :)

Arrived on time. Switch looks fine, not hooked up yet. It would have been nice if it came with the two mounting brackets instead of having to order them separate. For the price, they should include brackets.

Purchased this switch to replace a failing D-Link DES-1026G 24-Port 10/100 Switch. The D-Link DES-1026G was purchased about 7 years ago, and worked well up until about a month ago when the fan started failing and as a result the unit started overheating and causing connection issues.The new DGS-1024D is about 2/3 the size of the DES-1026G. This makes it good for either "desktop" use (if you don't mind having 24 ethernet wires running behind your desktop) and it makes it ok for rackmount use (with the included brackets).The front face plate on the DGS-1024D I received is white in color. The product picture shows it as the same color as the case, which is classic of the older D-Link equipment, so I assume that the white color is the newest revision of the switch.The network this was installed on is a simple peer-to-peer network with 1 server, 7 computers, 7 printers, and 1 router. I've noticed a definite decrease in the number of dropped packets since this was installed, and of course with the higher bandwidth on pipeline, some of our data intensive applications are running a little bit faster when loading data from the server.All in all, for the money, it's not a bad buy.

Hard to believe, but I am using 22 ports in my house. Four computers, three NAS units, two printers, and a bunch of TVs and Video equipment. After going through several cheap 8-port switches, I bought this unit. Two years and no problems.

I purchased this data switch for our Church building. We supply a hard line wire to all of the rooms in the building. Several of the rooms have Wi-fi routers that supply wireless signal to different parts of the building. This switch has performed flawlessly since I installed it. Installation was simple and did not require complicated software downloads or other high-tech knowledge to have it work. Speeds are fine and data transfer has been great!

I have installed 4 of these switches. They are plug and play. The ones I have installed do not have a fan and are totally quiet. This unit runs very cool; it barely gets warm. The first one I installed was about a year ago, and I have had no problems. The switches are not managed, and if you need to set up virtual LANs you cannot do that.

Never even got to plug it in. Opened the box took the router out of the plastic wrap and it sounds like the factory left a wrench inside. Looking through the cooling vents it looks like one of the heat sinks has come loose. Sending it back - PIA

We bought two of these switches when we moved into a new office that had pre-existing Cat 5 wiring and a wiring closet complete with racks. We are using maybe 30 of the ports, with the two switches daisy chained together. Several of the ports are connected to small switches in the offices where two or more devices share one jack. Fewer than 1/3rd of our computers have gigabit cards, including some of the newest computers. The switch indicates that several of the ports are operating at gigabit speed.We've had no issues with the switches. They've been strictly plug and play, even though some of our cable runs must be over 100 feet. I don't notice any speed increase over the old 100 megabit switch. This may be due to the SATA drives we have for file storage in the server. They aren't particularly fast. Also, our internet access in the new office is much slower than in our old office. This would also mask any speed increase. The speed of a network is only as fast as its weakest link.I would rate these higher if we haven't had any problems a year from now. Right now I can't rate them on reliability.2/29/2012We've had these switches 6 months now with no problems. Have not needed to reboot them once. We are upgrading the small switches and remaining desktops to gigabit. At that time I will do a little performance testing.

I purchased this switch to upgrade my home network to Gigabit. I'm usually a Netgear man, but decided to give D-link a try. It's a nice heavy duty switch, and it's really nice that it has an internal power supply. (no wall wart)I also like the fact that it has no cooling fan. I chose this switch because it was the smallest 24-port gigabit switch I could find, and I needed a switch that would fit in a structured media enclosure. So far so good, and the extra speed is great!

I got this when my 8 port switch ran out of open slots. This thing works great. Setup is as easy as plugging all your cables in it. It runs extremely quiet and has been cool to the touch. I've had great experiences with other D-Link products so I'm assuming (hoping) this will be the same. Also comes with a lifetime warranty which you don't often see on competing products.

Not much more you can ask for, arrived fast, plugged and works great. Bought two of them and daisy chained them with no problem. Had an old NetGear switch that failed and installed these in a hurry to get things back up and running. NetGear lasted about 2 years and then periodically would crash. Let's see how long these last. Been a month and good so far.

I purchased this unit for our small office and was very happy with it until it died unexpectedly this morning after what I consider a too-short life of 18 months. Only a few months after we bought it one of the ports went bad, but with 23 others to choose from I didn't care that much. But now none of them function. Considering the name-brand and the price ($180 at the time) I expected it to last at least 3-5 years before giving up the ghost. Now I'm looking for a replacement and was surprised to see it rated so highly. I don't write many reviews but this is not a 4 or 5 star product.

I just ordered one of these as part of a project to rack up and centralize my home network. Prior to this I had several switches in my basement daisy chained together. With this new D-Link switch I was able to rack this up with some nifty vertical rack arms and in conjunction with a 24 port patch panel and rack cable organizer get everything very nicely organized.The Amazon description for this switch is out of date. The current version of the product indicates that with the latest power supply it is up to 73% more efficient than similar non green D-link switches. Also worth noting is that the face plate on my unit is a silver color, not the white appearing face plate in the product photos.I connected this switch on my work bench with a Kill-A-Watt power meter and with nothing else connected this 24 port beast is sipping just 3 watts. With five gigabit devices it is using a miserly 7 watts. Even fully loaded, according to the specs this switch will not use more than about 19 watts. The switch has features that will throttle down power consumption based on device connection speed, cable distance and whether a port is active or not. All of this means that you can build out a very robust home network without leaving something running 24X7 that is consuming a lot of power.I was close to ordering the competing Netgear product (JGS524) however the Netgear has two fans in it (noisy and prone to failure) where as this D-Link switch is fanless! This is a big deal, as the fan is often the component that will go out over the long term with a product like this... not to mention the noise you will experience if you are anywhere near the device. The Netgear does have a "lifetime" warranty (and better warranty support) where as the D-Link has a 5 year warranty. With no moving parts, and if hooked up to high quality surge suppression the D-Link box should last for a very long time without problems.Performance with this switch is excellent, I get rocket fast transport between all of my devices. It's worth noting that this is an unmanaged switch so you cannot break your network up into VLANs or do cable diagnostics, etc, with this switch. For its purpose though of providing a super fast home or small office network it is offering a tremendous value. THighly recommend it!

Bought my "Gigabit" Switch back in September 2008. It is a breeze to setup and just works. So, I give it 5-starts for Ease of Use and 5-stars for wokirng as expected. But it just died after 2 years 11 months. So, must give it only 2-stars for reliability.Then again, it worked flawlesly for 3 years and for the price, I must say that I feel confortable recommending it.For the replacement, I think I'll go with the TRENDnet TEG-S24Dg, just to see. I have multiple switches downstream, a different manufacturer's router and modem, and all are recognized without a hitch, even after our frequent power outages. On rare occations, when one of the downstream machines can't 'phone home' a reboot of the machine resolves the problem (without having to power down every switch/router/modem in the line). A rare find, a trouble-free network gadget!

If you're looking for an simple switch to expand your network to GB speed, then this is the way to go. I've bought 3 of these switches already and they all work perfectly.**Amazon says that people usually bundle this switch with the Trendnet 4U rack mount, but I don't recommend doing so.**This switch comes with the brackets to mount it on a rack, but if you screw up the switch on this rack, there will be no space to plug in the power cord behind it. You will either have to get a power cord with the 90 degree angle plug, or get another rack. Using that rack will force you to bend the power cable when screwing it down....which u don't want to do.Overall, I am very satisfied with this switch and would definitely purchase again if the need arises.

D-Link always makes solid products---this switch is no exception. The price point is excellent for a 24 port GB rack mount or shelf mount switch and the compact size, low power consumption and lack of cooling fans makes this switch a winner in my opinion.

Bought this back in October of 2008. Added it to the structured wiring cabinet to my father's house. Services 8,000 sq. ft. of property. Didn't want to have any bottlenecks. This is wired behind a DIR-655 dlink gigabit wireless router, of which I own multiple. Has been running flawlessly everyday since receiving the item.

I built a new home, and with everything in the entertainment center wanting a network port, decided to wire the house from the ground up. I ended up with 21 cat5e cables, and this is the switch that I decided to use.I used the rack mounting brackets and secured the switch under the basement stairs, and plugged in my network cables before the cable company came with the modem.The basic set up is cable modem to a wireless router in the middle floor, and using only one of the outputs from the router, connect back to the switch, and from this switch to everywhere else.This switch was so easy, the cable company came and hooked up their modem, I plugged in the "modem to router" line that I had already run, and didn't have to do any configuration whatsoever. Didn't even put in the CD Rom that shipped with the switch. It worked right out of the box.I have a 12 and 13 year old that X-Box and Computer simultaneously, while the 3 year old watches a streaming movie from netflix, and Directv is even hooked in to this switch for the whole home set up. I can't speak to reliability yet, but it is fast, silent, and breeze to hook up.

Length:: 0:33 MinsUsed in a coworking space that is wired to patch panels in a networking closet. Connected the panels to the switch via cheap RJ-45 cables and we had a solid network running. Using a basic wireless router from LinkSys with this as well; very good price and quality.

I bought this D-Link 24 port gigabit switch to increase the speed of file transfers in my home. I have this installed in my media cabinet. The best part about this switch is that it is fanless! It also runs cool and is never more than luke warm to the touch. I have had this switch for about a month now with zero issues. It is a great value and well worth the money.

Our office used this switch since it was a cheap, gigabit switch that did not require a fan (read: quiet). We pass around a decent amount of data and this switch turned out to be very unreliable. Sometimes, it would hang and no traffic would get through. A simple reboot solved the problem but that makes it too unreliable for use in any professional context. We've actually had similar experiences with D-link networking gear in the past.We went ahead with the Cisco SR2024T 24 port 10/100/100 Gigabit Switch. It's a bit less than 2x the cost of this but has been very stable and is quiet/fanless as well.
