Momentum cache caveat
Absolute performance, but dont Momentum cache if you are running on desktop or laptop with unreliable battery. According to crucial , there is no read performance gain only write. And it collects a lot of writes in RAM and writes them to SSD when it gets chance. So in case of power failure it wont ger the chance to write to ssd , data will be lost. In case it was a OS data, windows might get corrupted.

Personal Opinion - Product makes feel it's of low quality and cheap
Hi All,
I ordered Crucial BX500 240GB, but return it back because It was extremely light in weight, Just feel that a pen drive circuit is fitted in side the black cover. I realized the build up quality of product looks very cheap. Due to highly sensitive data cannot trust this drive. Its my personal opinion may be there is no issues with other but I do not suggest this product. Better to buy Segate.
Anyways, amazon quick delivery always wins heart of customers. Super fast delivered by ATS. (Amazon Transport Service). For that 5 Full stars.

Extremely Recommended!!
I have a retro gaming desktop powered by Phenom II X4 965 and 16gb RAM, GTX 1660 super. I was using WD Blue 1TB as my primary drive, my pc use to take hell of time to turn on and launch csgo or any other games. Meanwhile I could make a tea and drink it but my pc would be still trying to find the location where the game is saved and trying to launch. I was about upgrade entire pc except gpu but I thought I would give a try on SSD to see if this helps my snail pc to perform any better. Damn! Crucial MX500 arrived and now I don't even have time sneak at mobile or make tea while my pc is getting ready for gaming. It hardly takes 15-20 seconds to boot and csgo 12-16sec, BF1 25-30sec, payback around 30-35 sec. (Its just for reference). check the images attached for speed difference between MX500 and WD BLUE 1TB.
I highly recommend this to someone who is looking to upgrade their old pc as well as modern pc. Hope this helps.

it's a good product.
I still couldn't understand Amazon price mechanism.. i purchased it at 4500 under sbi 10% off scheme..within 4 hrs price was ramped to 7200/- and after 2 days it's 6500/-. Amazon are u fooling ur customers. Any way product is good. As per expectation performance. Can see a drastic change in performance. heating issue is less as hdd tend to heat a lot. any where around 5000/ it's a good buy.

Best Bang for Buck!
Worth the price! It's the best upgrade for an old laptop or pc that's running slowly besides a decent processor and ram. An ssd is the simplest n quickest way to speed up an old laptop.
Got this one for about ₹1.8k and was totally worth it! I've installed the SSD as the boot drive in the main sata slot iny Laptop, and installed the HDD with a CD drive caddy! I got a major bump in speed of booting up and loading applications.
Only con is that there is no DRAM in built. Which may make the ssd slow over time basically, but at this price, can't expect too much.
Go for atleast 256gb variant if you're gonna load heavy software on the SSD itself. Or else, if you're gonna use it only for booting and have an addition HDD, 128gb is sufficient!

Not worth the price and cheating
I had ordered 250gb Harddisk by the product I received was 128gb...very poor..!!! And the hard-disk wasn't working also ..!! The box and the sticker says 250gb but wen u connect it it's only 121gb ...don't trust crucial..!!!

SSD can really speed up even an old system
Very high quality SSD, almost at the range of the Top tier Samsung EVO 870 SSDs.. Upgraded my old system (i5-2500K, 16GB RAM) system with this as the Boot drive. And oh boy, the machine have changed it's characteristics. Much faster to boot up or shut down, applications like Bridge/Photoshop opens up and runs much faster now. Overall, it has infused extra life to an aging system. I would suggest this SSD drive to anyone who is planning to upgrade from old HDD boot drives to SSD drives. Just go for it.

wow made my laptop usable
just for the sake of pre installed ms office I bought a dell laptop with AMD A6 processor, which was yet another mistake I did ... it was completely unusable, it used to take at least couple of minutes for each click to process. Almost dumped it, had idea to gift it someone in need.
But after looking into the option installing extra hdd using a caddy in place of dvd drive. I bought this and put it in place of primary hdd slot and moved normal / old hdd to optical bay with caddy. Now my laptop has come to live, become usable

Great speeds at an affordable price
The product got delivered within 24 hours. Coming to ssd, it's very light weight, easy to install in laptops and very affordable. The performance of this ssd is good for only some time. For example if we are trying to copy some large files to other media, initial speeds would be higher like 255-300 MB/s, as time goes on the speeds would drop to 60-138 MB/s. And this happens due to lack of dram and low efficiency TLC. This ssd is suitable for day to day operations like booting OS, applications, games. We can achieve higher speeds by enabling momentum cache which is very useful for some developers who works on data oriented projects, but if you don't have emergency battery backup like UPS in your desktops, I recommend not to enable momentum cache because it can cause data corrupts. Overall crucial is very reputed brand giving good warrenty period of 3 years. I recommend this ssd to those who want a long term usage.

Better than HDD - Satisfied
Using in a Basic Laptop (Acer aspire 3 - Intel N3710 Processor, 4GB RAM). Now i can feel the speed in Laptop. No hanging. But not up to the mark when compared to other SSD Benchmark in the market at same price. May be the read/write speed vary (increase), if you are using in a better processor PC/Laptop. Overall satisfied with the product.

Super fast. Easy to install. Loved it.
HDD on my Sony laptop had gone bad and it used to be slow before that. I never really liked my laptop cuz it used to be very slow.
But a few days ago I ordered SSD after some research and better speed promised by the SSD.
And my decision to buy this SSD was absolutely correct.
My laptop feels like a premium one after the upgrade to SSD. It boots in 7 seconds and ready to rock. Applications open faster than ever and sometimes I just do things on my laptop to admire its speed.

Lightening fast. Easy to install. Give new life to your dying machine.
Superb light weight ssd hard drive for my 8 years old Dell XPS Studio L502X. Just watched installation video in YouTube and followed the instructions to install the ssd. Installation is easy and swift. No rocket science. Coming to performance.... It's jaw breaking. My old hdd got corrupted and since last 6 months it use to take at least an hour to boot up and coming to desktop would take another 30 mins till I can even open chrome. After installing this ssd it's taking less than 10 secs to boot and micro seconds to launch any normal usage application. Haven't tried and heavy software like photoshop or games. Enabled momentum cache and speed is lightening like blink of an eye. New life for my dying laptop.
Packaging was poor and unsafe. In long transit there are high chances of damage. Box doesn't contain warranty card or original receipt.
Recommended at this price.

A HAPPY & PROUD BUYER
After checking out all available options, finally decided to take this amazing ssd as it was the only one giving neck to neck competition to its rival samsung evo 860. But on price it's cheaper than samsung and gives superb computing experience. Unfortunately my laptop does not have sata 3 port and I am using 2011 sony vaio vpceb46fg/b laptop that has sata 2 port and can getting 3 Gbps data transfer rate. It's noise less, ultra fast and window 10 pro loads within 14 second (insane). Windows 10 installed under 10 mins, now that's beyond expectations but it happened with crucial mx500. I must recommend this one to anyone who wants better storage in laptop and need more life. I have finally made a dual storage by removing the DVD drive and put the main hdd to 2nd bay using the ssd caddy.

Fits and works perfectly on my HP n209-tx
I replaced my 1 TB spinning hard drive on a 6 year old machine. And this thing has done wonders. A piece of advice, do not clone. Install your windows fresh, only then you would be able to utilize it completely. Do not fill it with the old collected grabage of your HDD.
Also, since the price difference is so little I would recommend getting the 500GB version only. Install your windows and all the programs that you use every day to the SSD, and move the HDD to an external adapter/Caddy and use it for data storage.
The SSD comes with a spacer (a thick rectangular block of plastic) for thicker laptops, I did not need it since it fit my laptop well without it.
Make sure you connect it to at least a SATA3 port to make full use of it. Do enable momentum cache using Crucial's software tool if you have a good laptop battery. It creates a great difference in speed!
Overall a good buy. I've been using it for a week and no hiccups.

Not Working after 2 weeks
I have installed in dell vostro 3568 and it's after 2 weeks not detected in BIOS.
I working on OS suddenly get error disk not reading and laptop goes blank after many times I tried to restart but in BIOS get message SSD not found.

Must read before buy.
You will get 111 GB out of 120 GB. Read and write speed is higher than other ssd in the market also you get 3 years warranty. Before buying any ssd first think about your uses.If you are not a heavy user then 120 GB is enough.. after installing Windows 10 and office 2007 , 90 GB is there. Don't waste your money on 240 GB ssd if you r not a that kind of user..

It's super fast and is probably limited by your SATA 3 interface

Excellent SSD in this price..., Go for it if you want to improve your laptop experience
I have bought this SSD at around 6000 considering all discounts, this one was my first SSD...
I have Sony Vaio i5, which I have purchased in 2013, even though it is i5 processor, my laptop was becoming slow day by day, and it was taking around 2 minutes to boot the machine and login to the main screen, once login I have to wait for around 1 minute before start the work, as it was busy in completing the background processing.
As an IT engineer, I have analyzed the reason and find that due to by HDD was occupied around 100% it was not performing well, so that I have decided to go for SSD.
After replacing the HDD with SSD, my laptop is literally taking 12-15 seconds to boot, and login will take fraction of second only, and once login I can start my work immediately.
Before buying SSD I have researched so much and take glance of many reviews posted by the users.
While the same size of Samsung SSD also available with minor price difference but I decided to go for Crucial MX 500 as I find it more accurate and good performer.
I am really happy with my decision.

Worth every penny! Just Superb.
Just Superb. It changed my Asus i3 slowy laptop into jet speed.
Nowadays we get mid range laptops with i3 processor and 4gb ram + 1tb hdd so it doesn‘t handle multi tasking and over all reaponse time well. But when I installed this 256gb SSD with 8 gb of extra ddr4 ram(of same company crucial, so total 12gb) I just feel like I have a premium laptop speed.
If you install OS in it, from booting to multi tasking almost everything becomes so smooth.

Seems fine so far. I cloned and replaced old hdd with this one, laptop is considerably faster. No ossues so far.
Package was ok. But MRP mentioned in the product page was 13000 (Seller: TPS), but on the sticker it was 8700. Infact mrp mentioned by other sellers seem to be proper!

Maybe I like it more cause it came with a 9.5mm to 7mm adaptor. Maybe because I was replacing an old mechanical SSD with 4500rpm. Cloning was easy with EaseUS Pro. Minitool was supposedly as good but the free versions for both do not do OS cloning (or at least I could not find the option) or maybe since a lot of people are upgrading in the pandemic these companies decided to remove the free option. Since EaseUS was cheaper used that. Smooth process. The computer did not ask to restart as is mentioned in some videos and guides. Replacement was relatively easy. Much faster startup and apps take 1/4 time to start if not less. Would definitely recommend SSD

- + Хорошие модули, покупаю не первый раз. SPD-профиль заполнен как и положено для брендовой памяти, профиля XMP нет. В работе нагреваются очень умеренно, чуть тёплые. Если ваши комплектующие соответствуют, то сразу определяется на 3200. Если 3200 не поддерживается платой или процессором, то на максимально доступной частоте, даже на 2133 работает без проблем. Это крупный, известный производитель = хорошая совместимость с материнскими платами.
- - Может не завестись на некоторых старых платах с BIOSом из "коробки", например Socket-1151 v1, на моей практике все случаи разрешились простым обновлением BIOS
Crucial - это торговая марка компании Micron, одного из крупнейших производителей чипов памяти. Покупал на другой площадке, OEM поставка, но продавец тот же самый. В моём случае оказался брак (это редкость для этих модулей), но продавец принял возврат и вернул деньги. Советую приобретать в Retail поставке (в фирменной коробочке). Если есть какие-то сомнения в качестве - отказывайтесь при получении или сразу пишите продавцу.

Надежный производитель, не китайская отбраковка. Стабильная работа без дурацкого заврдского разгона (если мне надо я и руками разгоню)
У меня те что с 1-сторонеей чиповкой и на 4000 без проблем завелись с Ryzen 5500. Просто поставил 4000 плата сама подобрала тайминги и все остальное=)

Бывают совсем разные плашки из разных партий 1- и 2-х стороння чиповка и разной страны производства. Я 2 раза заказывал, в магазине из 4 выбрал 2 одинаковые, остальные все были разные.
