I now own three sets of these - what more can I say? One is in the office, one in the bedroom and one in the family room. I have a Zen Sleek that I connect up and they sound great! Being a casual music listener, I was not looking for high end speakers and these fit the bill for delivering quality sound.

I wanted to buy a speaker that would be a value for money. I was willing to spend only $20. That is when I saw this product. I didn't mind spending $10 more if I could get a good subwoofer.I had a 4.1 Creative speaker previously and this obviously has a better bass than the 4.1 I had.I recommend this speaker for everyone looking for good quality on a budget!

I can't imagine a better system at this price. Desktop bass and volume control is a nice plus. It's easy to set the bass for a flat response and volume is adequate for "easy listening" in a 12x12 room. They don't have the power and range of my Omnisat/JBL/Yamaha 5.1 setup downstairs, but hey, the cost is less than one speaker stand for that system!

Nice little system considering the price on Amazonwith rebate and free shipping. The sound controland bass control are easy to access with the wiredcontrol. Certainly and upgrade if your currentcomputer sytem has cheap speakers with it, makeslistening to digital music etc. much more enjoyableon your PC, again nice system for the price.

I hooked these up last night, and was BLOWN away by how good they sounded. I have a 'high end' brand in the home theater and they are not up to that, but for the computer they are amazing. Even my 8 year old was blown away by her first song played on them "Dad it's like being at the concert!". For the $29 they currently are running with the rebate, you should get them. Particularly if you are still using speakers that came with the computer. If you listen to stuff on the computer at all, you won't be sorry.

After looking at 2.1 speaker systems for my office desktop that were upwards of $100 (some nearly $200), I opted for this sub-$40 system based on other positive reviews.The sounds is clean, and there's plenty of bass from the sub for my 15x15 home office.You can't go wrong at this price.

Defintely exceeds the expectations I had based on price. These are a real value. When I first tested them, I put the sub on the carpet and put the satellites on the sub and ran it from my ipod...the sound was disappointing. I moved the system into hte basement and placed the satellites about 4 feet apart, the sub in a cabinet a few feet from the satellites and WOW! I own a relatively high end carver system with dipolar ribbon speakers and this is not anywhere near that...but it certainly kicks the hell out of most systems in this price range that I've tested. The mid range part of the satellite really helps. So overall, not gonna beat 5000.00 system, but as good as any 50-300.00 system I have heard. (incidentally, I used to work at Circuit City and Best Buy in the Audio Video Dept)

I bought these speakers based on reviews on this site and the cost. They sound good on some songs, but on others there is a popping sound that comes from the hole in the subwoofer. I would hope this is some kind of flaw but customer service has not been much help. On those songs I have to turn the bass down to almost 0 or be annoyed by the sound.

I got this for $10 after rebate at Circuit City and I'm going there first thing tomorrow to get another box. They paid meticulous attention to the packaging, whose presentation is the best I've ever seen in an electronic box. Every single cable is nicely wrapped up; you've gotta see it.As for the sound, it's no high-end stereo system, but even with the bass turned all the way down, I was amazed at the quality of the satellites. Even at the lowest volumes, speech is audible. I ran a line from my Samsung HDTV to my sound card's line-in port b/c I want to hear some good sound finally. Now I can play all sorts of stuff late into the night without disturbing others in the house. Even at its original price of $50, it's the best money you can spend.

I purchase this set of speaker after reading reviews on Amazon and these speakers didn't disappoint. I buy them for my room and it is just what I needed. The sound its clear and loud enough for the size of my room. The brass maynot be as strong as some of the review said.

All other 3 piece speakers are just a big subwoofer with two little tweeters. This one has everything, excelent midrange and good bass. The sound is much much louder than other speakers of the same power range due to the fact that more power goes to the satellite speakers.

I bought these for my PC at home because I wanted something cheap to replace my headphones. I can't have loud audio because the computer is right under my kids bedroom.I thought these would be like every other sub-$50 PC speaker system - crap sound but passable at low volume levels. I set all the ranges to medium and started up Call of Duty and WOW! I almost dove under my chair - the pounding subwoofer and excellent range of the speakers blew me away. My wife and kids were all in bed and came running downstairs thinking we were under home-invasion.I've gone through many sub-$50 PC speakers and I can honestly say I would gladly pay twice this price for these. They are that good. You simply cannot beat these speakers for this price.

I was just looking for a basic system with a little bass - subwoofer a requirement. This did just what I wanted and the desk top control (on, off, volume, bass) was a welcome bonus. I'm happy and got more than my money's worth. Sounds great for the price.

I'm on the really low end of sound-snobbery. I won't mess with the EQ for hours or refuse to listen to anything that's not reproduced "perfectly", but I also freak out if there's even a hint of popping, crackling, tinniness, bad bass, you get the idea.I shopped for two weeks online before I settled on these. I read all the reviews here, and still had post-purchase anxiety while I waited for them to ship. I didn't need to worry. For the price-level they're at, these are really something else. A major plus is the corded remote that lets you adjust the bass and volume without crawling on the floor. They have a nice full midrange. Of course you'll have to use your media player to make everything sound the way YOU like it, but that's any speaker, in my opinion. More than I expected for the price , definitely.Update: I have hooked these speakers hooked up to a record player, and have since moved from the smaller, more acoustically friendly apartment I lived in at the time of my initial review of these speakers into a house.Do not buy these expecting them to fill a large room with sound. They are good for a bedroom, small living room, or small apartment, but you won't get them to fill a larger area with sound at all. I still like them, they don't lose any stars (it's not their fault I moved, after all).

These speakers sound horrible. The highs are non-existant, the mids are muffled and the bass is "poppy". I thought for under $40 the price was right, but I wouldn't keep them if they were free. I'll be making my first ever return to Amazon.

These are excellent speakers for the price. I bought one set for my kitchen, and then went back and got another set for my bedroom.Great for moving an ipod from room to room, and plugging into the speakers there.

Sound which really did pleasantly surprise and impress me particularly for the price I paid. Definitely a great value, and produces top notch volume and quality. Wired remote and headphone jack a plus. A winner.

THE SPEAKERS HAVE GREAT SOUND CLARITY AND BASE. I LIKE THE INDIVIDUAL CONTROL FOR VOLUME AND BASE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

I purchased these speakers for my daughter to hook up to her Ipod.They crank.For the price the sound quality is great.My daughter loves them.Much better than the ones that are made for the ipod to fit into.I also purchased the charging cradle from amazon and the Koss titanium headphones. WOW!

[...]I use them on my computer when listening to music and find the sound reproduction to be quite good. The seperate control for volume/bass is also a nice feature. The subwoofer is relatively compact, but puts out enough bass to rattle the windows in my home office.

I am not entirely sure how the Creative T3000 differs from the T2900. It might be simply that the T3000 comes with a special jack that allows you to hook up your speakers to your TV, DVD Player, AND Video Game System. If that's the only difference, and you care enough about saving perhaps $2 (assuming that you can find a similar jack for under $5), then I say buy the T2900.However, if you want this system to play the music on your video games, and you don't care about saving $1.50 on a little jack, then BUY THE T3000. It sounds awesome. I am listening to it right now, and my whole room is filled with a rich, full sound.There is a a tweeter and midrange in both satellites, so the high-end sounds are very crisp. The bass is ridiculous. You can only play it on 20-30% or else it drowns out the rest of your music. Honestly, if you want to crank your bass, it sounds a bit thumpy (as in, losing some precision in sound). But if you keep it at a reasonable level, it does its job admirably (and that is to fill out your room with wholesome sound).The wires are all long enough so that the satellites and bass can all be really far away from eachother and the electrical outlet. It's quite simple to set it all up.The little remote control thingy is nice, too, with an on/off switch right there, so you don't have to crawl on the floor, under your desk, and be humiliated even though no one is watching.But it's the price, folks...under fifty bucks and you get a sweet system. I am going to trade my in Bose Companion 2 (2.0 system, twice the price) and never look back.I am also looking forward to making my whole room shake from my PS2!

In general these are excellent speakers. They have good frequency coverage with tweeters, a 3 inch midrange driver, and a decent subwoofer. The sound is very clear and crisp. Perhaps they are a little weak on the lower midrange, and a little too bright on the hight notes, but still very good. The price is astounding, I don't know how Creative managed to put this kind of sound into a $50 speaker system. These sound better than some > $100 Bose systems we listened to at the store. I am also impressed by how tiny the satellites are.IMPORTANT NOTE: These speakers sound much better after you have been playing them for a while. Out of the box I would recommend a good hour or two of warm up time, before you listen critically. Afterwards, I would recommend 15-30 minutes before they will sound their best.We originally bought these at Best Buy on a whim, even though we couldn't listen to them until we got home. However since then we have ordered two more of these systems to put in other rooms of our house, because we like them so much.There are some drawbacks however: 1 - They are not HiFi. As I said ealier the lower midrange imparticular isn't perfect. However their sound is quite decent, and comparable to other $100 - $150 systems. 2 - Volume. These are not particularly loud. On full volume they will barely fill a medium-large sized room, but they won't do much in a church auditorium :-)I would highly recommend these speakers. If you can, give them a try.
