Simply put - for the price, a great set of speakers. The holder simply holds your i-pod, no connection but the external volume control is a great feature. As with all my experiances with Amazon, it is a pleasure to do business with this company. Came as scheduled, perfect condition, and you get an email for each step of the journey until it hits your door.

I bought these for my parent's computer a few years back and they work perfectly to this day and continue to impress me. The sound quality is definitely better than you would assume for this price, due to the 2-way design. I would never normally expect such great sound from practically budget-range multimedia speakers. Apart from these, the next closest thing I can find are the Logitech Z-2300's for almost 3x the price. I wish Creative would re-release these, and that all other budget 2.1 speakers would be banished, because for most purposes these are all you really need.

I just recieved my 1st creative labs product yesterday, I cant believe the difference from my dell computer speakers, this setup is small and sounds as good as my stereo with 30" speakers, now Ilisten to all my music on my computer ,more than worth the money

I came across these while looking for the Harman Kardon sound sticks II. I have Harman's built into my laptop and they sound great. I was hoping to stick with something equal to that sound quality and was willing to spend the money. I stumbled upon the Creative Labs Intrigues and can say that I was solidly impressed. I brought them home with the mindset that it was just at trial till my Sound Sticks came in. Played with them a little bit and canceled my order for the Haman's!! These sound awesome. Just play with them a bit, adjust the woofer, and I just used RealPlayers equalizer to top out the highs and they sound great. (careful though, they can get tinny quickly if you don't set them right, they carry a lot of tweeter ability, so adjust all the frequency's but don't let the woofer get muddy either. It took me about a good 20 min of playing and reseting to find just right). But with the side firing midrange, they bounce off my walls and give me phenominal stereo imaging, and a very very broad sweet spot, much more so than with the Harman's. I've used the Sound Sticks before, and I love their sound, and I rate these Creative Labs right there. Completely took me by surprise. I love music and have a Carver, Harman Kardon, and JBL & Infinity theater system, so I know good music and how it should properly sound. I rate these an A+ for their price and application. Highly recommend them.

I just got these as a refurb for half price, and they are a great sounding desktop speaker system. My first 2.1, which replaces a 2.0, so my experience is obviously limited. Volume is not overwhelming. I use them only to listen to MP3s. I can easily max out volume on Foo Fighters or Linkin Park without approaching threshold of pain, but I wouldn't want to leave it there for an hour straight. Agree with others that bass has to be kept to less than half. I really appreciate having a separate bass now.In summary, great value for desktop speakers, but don't expect it to compete with your stereo.

This is for the T3100 speaker system which I thought was just a different cabinet for the T3000 but reviews say that the T3000 has a 3" midrange whereas the T3100 seems to have a 2" midrange.As I age and try different speakers out there is one thing that keeps coming back to me - you can't defy the laws of physics...A small tweeter and a 2" *cough* midrange *cough* just can't replicate the warm midrange sound of a 3" speaker (the smaller the speaker, the higher the natural frequency). Why they didn't go with a nice midrange speaker size is beyond me. How BOSE does this always intrigued me.In short,The bass is really nice and the highs are nice but it tends to sound a bit too shifted to the high end. Makes me want my ACS33s back - regretting ever selling them for these now.They look great especially hanging on the wall ;-)My best speakers,Logitech z-560s - Klipsch killers ;-) but over $125My all-time best speakers are the Yamaha YST-M50s - those were sweet and priced just right around $45-$60.Really nice speakers...

Great sound for a great price -- almost unbelievable. I started using the speaker system with my computer and loved it. After getting hooked on XM radio, I now use the speaker system with it. I love the portability of the system. With little effort I can have my sound where I want it. My only complaint is I can't have it two places at once! Guess I will have to buy another one!

I got these speakers, cuz they looked cooler than the LogiTech ones. I just bought, now, some LogiTech 2.1 speakers, and would recommend the logitech over creative speakers for the 2.1 catagory.

I have it more than one year. No complains so far. It has bass tunning... My girlfriend doesn't like when our apartment is trembling, so bass tunning was really useful.

I purchased my Creative Inspire T3000 3-Piece Powered Speaker System a little over two years ago for my desktop computer. They still work as well as the day I hooked them up. The fidelity created by the subwoofer is great! What can I say? I highly reccomend these speakers especially for a desktop. I listen to my CDs through them and they sound great. I also listen to alot of news online and the subwoofer adds that extra bass quality to the voice of the commentator. They don't have a ton of power, but when you're sitting in front of your computer, you don't need it.

I've had these hooked up to my computer for about a year now and they get great sound. Obviously, you can't crank them up like a more powerful set of speakers, but they pass the Beethoven symphony test and I've been very pleased with them. I also like that you can mount them on the wall and save room on your desk. They're great little speakers for the money and have been more than adequate for my needs.

I bought this in February of 2006. and these have been the best speakers i have ever had. They are small enough to fit on my desk, and the sub is small to. I liked the remote controller even if it is wired. Sound is GREAT!!! on these speakers. Great for movies, games, anything, and you can even hook them to a TV or game stationHighly recommended speakers for anyone

I produce music on a DAW (digital audio workstation) with Bose speakers. I wanted a set of speakers for a second system used for testing the music, sort of a lower end system more common to the average computer user. Because of all the rave reviews, I decided to try the Inspire T3000. Just received them (3 days) and hooked them up, and I can't say enough about them.I've seen people in these reviews talking about the lack of quality in the highs, midranges, and bass, but as far as I can see you'd have to have an extremely good ear to pick out any of these supposed flaws. The sound is comparable to what I would have expected from a $100-$200 speaker system.Having actually made the music I'm listening to, I have no trouble picking out the highs, mids, and lows. Then I tried some canned stuff (Drops of Jupiter, Walk Like an Egyptian, some Kid Rock, some George Jones), and it all sounded great. I have the bass set to only about 10% and it still kicks.The quality of hardware I found when taking it out of the box was amazing for <$40. Good bass cabinet, solid satellites, and metal satellite stands (if you want to use them - you can also hang the satellites). Although the remote seems light duty, it works well, and I like having the bass control on the remote. I really like having the headphone jack in the remote, very easy to use. Yes, it's 2.1 and not surround sound, but the depth of sound is great. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. I didn't rate it 5 stars because it's the best sound I've ever heard, but because it's the best I've ever heard for the money.

I bought these speakers a month or two ago and finally got around to installing them on my Mac G4 yesterday. What was I waiting for? Holy cow, the sound quality, clarity and volume are tremendous. I'm thinking of buying a second set for my bedroom TV. Honestly I would never have believed anyone who promised me this kind of sound quality for $40--and I've never heard of the brand before. If you can find better speakers than these for $40, go buy them. Personally, I don't think you will.I have no idea why I delayed installing these so long, but they've been online for about 24 hours now and I can't stop listening to them. I'm listening to Dylan's "Love & Theft" and it sounds perfect. Last night I listened to some live Chip Taylor music and I've never heard him sound better.Be careful to put the subwoofer box away from your CPU when you install the speakers--I'm sure there's a pretty hefty magnet in there. I kind of wish the speaker wires were longer, but they're plenty long enough to fit at opposite ends of my 8-foot desk. The remote controller is great too, though I agree with another reviewer, it would nice if this was all wireless.Great speakers, buy with confidence.

The speaker is a nice system. I've never had any other sound system but I can say the bass on this T3000 sounds very nice and boomy when you want it to. There is a convinient remote control for the volume and the bass level along with another 3.5mm jack for headphones.However, there is one problem with Creative Lab products (speakers) is that the control eventually gets screwy. I've only had these speakers for about 5 months and the sounds begins to fluctuate a lot, sometimes to the point where I can't hear anything at all. I have to turn the volume up slightly and then ::BOOM:: the volume gets REALLY loud. Apparently a lot of other people are having problems with Creative Labs and not just these T3000s.If you received a nice, working T3000 good for you. If you are planning to buy this T3000 system, I'd suggest getting a Logitech set instead (but notice that cheaper model Logitech speakers do not have the oh-so-convinient remote control for volume and bass that Creative has).

It was because of these speaker's bargain price that I picked them up. I was impressed from the start, though they weren't as loud or clear as my roommate's JBL creature, they weren't far off, and the lower price makes up for what is ultimately a slight difference in volume and sound quality (I wasn't going to be competing with him over who had the best speakers). They were more than adequate for listening to my music (I didn't have a stereo, so my computer doubled as that). I kept the volume and bass at 3 o'clock, though the bass got distorted if I turned it up past that, if I left it at 3 and turned up the volume there was no problem with distortion worth mentioning. For the first year, these speakers worked great and I was happy with them.Halfway through this year, the volume control goes on the fritz. It starts out as a minor problem; when I turn up the volume past 3:00, the speakers begin to tremelo. The volume fluctuates randomly, from very soft to way to loud. I find I can counteract this by just not touching the volume which isn't a problem because I never really used the volume control. What began as a nuisance turns into a problem, now anytime I bump or touch the volume it begins tremoloing and it's getting more and more difficult to keep the volume constant.I know this is was a bargain speaker system, but I was hoping for it to last a bit longer than one and a half years without needing parts to be replaced or fixed. I was satisfied with this system until this whole issue with the volume came up. I don't know how common a problem this is for other owners, but buyer beware. I'm getting a JBL as soon as I can scrape up the dough.

Pros: These speakers look cool. The volume control unit is very convenient.Cons: You can only control the bass. On many songs you hear too much bass (sounds like someone blowing in a jug at times) OR the tweeters. Mid range is missing. If I had tried these in the store before buying I probably would have bought something else. Not a great sound at $50. My Boston BA265 speakers, for example, had a much more even, rich sound at half the cost. I'll probably sell mine and splurge on the Klipsch 2.1s. Maybe if your playing device has an equilizer you could smooth it out. Some people like this sound setting; I just don't.

I am eternally a skeptic when I am trying to purchase something without having the ability to test it out first, and I have seen other people shell out for speakers under $100 and the quality was horrible.When I got my speakers I expected the worst but was pleasantly thrown back by the amount of sound and the depth of the bass. It seemed unreal that all of that sound was coming from these speakers from my tiny laptop. These speakers have given me a new found respect for my laptop.

I am not an audiofile, but I appreciate good sound when I hear it. This Creative speaker package (two mid-range/tweeter & one woofer) is compact enough to sit on my crowded desk, yet has enough uumph to greatly enhance my music listening and game playing experiences. Set-up was a snap (just follow the well-illustrated instructions). The speakers are black with brushed chrome accents and should fit into just about any decore. I'd buy 'em again.

I think this product is horrible, because all i got was static from the speakers. The whole thing wouldnt turn on and the a/v power adapter for it was the problem. They must have given me a faulty speaker system, because it took me 2 hours until i got it to make static. I did what it said and nothing worked, oh and by the way the instructions dont have any words on them, just a diagram that tells you how to plug it up to the tv or the computer. The av adapter is able to be lost very easily, and i dont know if it would work.

These speakers are not going to blow the doors off or anything, but unless you're planning on having a dance party or something, they're fine. They're more than worth the price. The same price (or more) would get you a pair of mediocre bookshelf speakers, so why not get these instead? I highly recommend these as long as they stay $37.99 or lower.

I've been going through speaker systems left and right the past week and this Creative Labs T3000 is the only one that stays. The bass is clean and blends well. The midrange is a little too forward for some recordings but a simple equilizer adjustment smooths it right on out. (If I could not make an E.Q. adjustment then I wouldn't want them.) The highs are pleasant and not too gritty or harsh. There is a smoothness in the top end that the others lacked...cymbals sound like cymbals. Hard to fault for $50.00. Played softly to moderatly it has a very classy sort of sound. Push the bass or volume too hard and it sounds like crap. After all, 50 bucks is 50 bucks so don't expect too much...but among it's peers it's head and shoulders above the rest. And I intensley dislike the sound quality in the rest of the Creative lineup. Spending more gets you less unless it's more bass you want. My listening habits are piano, classical, classic rock and pop rock.If you are into bass heavy music pushed hard or a home theater thumper then this is not the one. If you want a speaker that can reasonably reproduce the music then this is worth a try. If you are really picky then go buy a nice amp and a high quality two way book shelf or perhaps a nice 2.1. $50.00 will not buy a miracle. All I want is something that sounds pleasant without irritating. This T3000 and a simple Bose 2.0 are the only ones I've heard that could pull that off in my opinion. I prefer the sound of these to the others I've listened to at Circuit City and Best Buy in the $49.00 to $149.00 range. That does not mean I am right, only that I prefer the sound of these. Prefereance can't be agrued against, it's what I like. You may not like what I like and that's O.K., so please listen for yourself.

I thought these speakers would be low quality seeing i only paid $40 for it... but they weren't bad... i like the remote control function, but i guess it would be a little better if it were wireless... but other than that i would recommend anyone that wants 2.1 speakers to buy it... oh yeah... bass is pretty good too
