Not bad speakers for the price. Easy to setup. Great sound coming from these little speakers. One bad thing is the volume knob. Have to pinch it hard for grip.

Tried a set of $250 Bose C20 speakers, wasn't impressed as I was comparing them to these. Sent the Bose back and am glad I kept these gorgeous beauties.

Based on older reviews of these speakers, I expected them to be very good. But still, they blew my mind with the sound quality! I use them eventually to listen to some music while working on the computer and primarily to reproduce the audio out of my computer when I am watching movies. Great speakers! Great reproduction of lows, mid and highs. I totally recommend them!

They look great and they sound great. Don't expect huge bass out of them but they get louder than I've ever had a use for. Perfect if you want something better than average for gaming, music, and movies.

I live in an apartment and I wanted some serious 2.0 speakers. After some very careful shopping, it seems I made the right decision. The sound quality in these T40's is perfect.

It's definitely a good pair desktop speakers! I've had it about a week and so far I am loving it. It's just a right platform for desktop without having a subwoofer. It's believable that this product does produce enough bass to go with whatever I demand. Echo with other comments, this speakers are built with good quality in mind for the long run. I don't expect it to perform like a good pair of home theater floorstanding speakers.

If it has a Digital audio input, I rate 5 stars. My TV does not have earphone output. So I can not control the volume by remote.

5 stars for the ease of set up and very crisp sound. Just gotta break em in, very short time span it seemed, then you will have the sound that is meant to come out of these speakers

I have bought 3- T-12's so far, for my take to work MP3. Now this set for my background sound reproduction with my stereo system. It has perfect natural sound balance. And no hiss. Great for your Buck. SW

Have had this for several months and the sound is fantastic for the price point. Plug my lap top or smart phone right into them & listen to iTunes, amazon music, or Pandora. Nice for someone like me who doesn't want to spend a lot, but wants beautiful sound quality without a lot of base, etc.

I upgraded recently from a cheap 2.1 system. These have treble AND bass adjustments which many speakers for pc use don't seem to have. They are rather deep in size, but with a 27 inch monitor they sit flush with it. And the sound is very good - I have not cranked them, but they do well with my sons' games and my music and videos.

After 5 minutes of use, I considered returning these speakers due to poor sound quality. I left them on with iTunes running contiuously for 20 hours and listened again. They sound warm and clear regardless of the type of music. The control knobs are resposive and static free. I purchased these speakers four months ago and am very satisfied.

I assumed (wrongly?) that I could run a sound input from my laptop to these, but I get nothing. They do work with airtunes. Besides that, the sound quality is underwhelming.

These are very good PC speakers for $100. I would say that at this price range, it will be very hard to beat for any 2.0 system. A lot has been said in all these reviews and I just want to add that these are great for its intended use: very close listening. If you're not listening to them from a couple of feet away, they will sound lost and not very precise and the bass, while adequate at close range, will be just muddy.These may not be the right set for bass heads or video gamers but for music at close range these are great. I would imagine that to get a sizable improvement over these you'll need to spend double the money and you'll also have to sacrifice desktop space.

I replaced a faulty Logitech 5.1 speaker system with the GigaWorks T40.I was worried that switching from 5.1 to 2.0 would be a setback but i am very happy so far.PROSSound is powerful and clear, speakers look great wherever you put them. I am using them as desktop speakers but this can fill with music any room in my house.Frontal controls do the job easily (Bass, Treble, Volume, Headphones and Aux In)CONSNot really a con but if i must list one maybe it is the size, they are kinda big, not a problem for me. Just check for size if you care.

When I bought my new MBP I wanted a decent set of speakers for my desk. I bought a lesser expensive set of Logitech speakers at first which were of sub-par quality (they were also about 1/10 the price of these; an important note.) These speakers produce an amazing sound quality...even at very high volumes. They have front-facing Treble and Bass knobs as well as a volume knob which allow for fast adjustments without going into my computer's settings. They also have two ports on front which I didn't realize at the time of purchase. One is a headphone jack which is nice because I don't have to unplug these from the MBP if I put on my headset. These also have an Aux-In port so you could plug in another device such as an iPod or...well, anything else...and play them through the speakers without unplugging the main input.The photo shows these without the grill covers on, showing the yellow cones and drivers. They do, however, come with typically black fabric covers which I've chosen to store in a drawer since I like the yellow look. Overall, I could not be more pleased with the quality of these speakers for the value. I'll consider another pair of these as gifts or even for television speakers in small rooms. As for the cheaper Logitech set, I took those to the office where I have listen to music much quieter.

I have hearing difficulties, so decided to get these speakers for my computer. I like them and I also like the fact that when I turn them off, the speakers ARE off, not using unnecessary electricity.

I thought I was going to get better or more crisp bass for $117, but sadly these speakers have turned out to be just mediocre. They sound ok, but nothing to write home about. All of the positive reviews on Newegg and Amazon must have oversold them for me. I wish I would have gotten a used set of Klipsch 2.1, but I didn't want to have a subwoofer at work.

they look really nice and sound quite good. To me, they are a bit "bassy", but half of my life spent in a machine shop and riding loud motorcycles is probably more to blame.
