Sadly it doesn't have additional CPU connector, so you can't power a motherboard with 8+4pin
you can still use it with 8 pin.
I'm working with an i9 10900, would love to connect the other +4pin module... however testing the processor with only 8pin in a msi mpg z490 gaming edge is working fine
I got a replacement sent to me and got it set up, however my PC still wasn’t working. It would not turn on at all and it seemed like the problem wasn’t the power supply this time. After taking it to a couple different people who do this more often than I do (I only build PC’s as a hobby) they finally diagnosed that the issue was when the last power supply blew, it took out my CPU with it.
$700 later and my PC is finally up and running again, after about a week of me trying to figure out what part was causing the problem.
I know that I most likely just got a bad PSU the first time and that shit happens, however the fact that it blew my CPU (something that I was not planning on replacing anytime soon) and I had to throw in an extra $700 into this PC just to replace the one I had, makes me want to warn others. Maybe try plugging the PSU into a backup computer and turning it on first lmao. Would not recommend putting it into your main PC that you spend the most amount of time on.
I personally don’t have my new CPU yet so I can’t rate how the working power supply is, but I can tell you that most of my friends have this same one and they have no problem with it.
Using ultra quiet Corsair 120mm case fans, I seldom, if ever, hear those spinning, so I know this PSU fan is making the sound during my PC's operations.
If you want a reliable PSU to get you into a "better than most others" class, try the RM750x 80 Plus Gold Fully Modular ATX Power Supply. She is good to me and her factory twin should prove the same for you.
80plus gold certified
I have been using my PC every single day and pushing it by playing games and working from home.
This is my first modular power supply and I am super happy with it.
It is quiet and easy to install.
I am running it on an H710i case, with AMD Ryzen 9300X, ROG Crosshari VIII hero, RTX 2070 Super windforce OC, Corsair Force Series Gen.4 MP600 1TB, and Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4 Dram 32000MHz c16.
thank you corsair for having a decent customer service RMA department
im not joking when i say iv had really bad exp in the past 6 months, corsair you gave me a little bit of faith back in the RMA departments of this world
El paquete de envió estaba muy bien sellado y tenia alrededor bolsas plásticas para evitar golpes de traslado. Detalles así son fundamental cuando se exportan componentes delicados.
I usualy give 4 stars for a item of this nature and will come back in a year to bump it to 5 stars if it holds up in that time period.
The packaging was actually better than usual and came in a amazon box properly protected with air packs. I'm not use to that from Amazon, so props to the person who was working at that time and properly packed it up for shipping. Thanks!
Nothing more to say really, works great so far and powers my system.
Powering a b450, Ryzen 2600, 6700xt, 32gb ram, 5 RGB fans 2 sata SSD's and one NVME.
Should be enough for future GPU upgrades as well. I've only used PSU's from EVGA, Corsair, and Phanteks. Quality from either manufacturer has always been stellar
Couldn't be more satisfied, especially for the modest price.
My only complaint is that the thicker cables are a bit too stiff.
This might not be a problem in larger cases, or in cases with more thoughtful routing for cable management, but in mine I definitely noticed I had to struggle to get these into place on the motherboard when routing them from behind.

So far I’m happy with this 750 RMX PSU but not happy with how thick and hard it is to bend/flex the motherboard atx connector, I have a large Noctua and this cable plugs in right by one of the fans and because I can’t bend it much it’s almost right on the fans which concerns me. If I can get a compatible motherboard power connector that can bend/flex a bit more then I’ll be much happier.
I’ve only had it a few days so I’ll update if anything changes.
As with all Corsair products, this power supply turned out to be a wonderful buy from a name brand - especially if you can snag it when it's on sale for just $90.
PROS
- Very limited noise level - almost completely silent
- Doesn't crash/fail like cheap alternatives
- Looks great in all-black PC builds, if visible
- Built in cables are well designed - the SATA cables, for example, have multiple connectors on one cable to allow for insanely easy chaining.
- Labeled cables. Sometimes, non-labeled cables can be hard to find where to place in your PC. These ones are clearly labeled: PCIE, CPU, SATA, etc.
CONS
- The price. It's a really nice price when on sale, but when not on sale, you can find some cheaper alternatives from non name brand companies. However, as this is a power supply, you should NOT cheap out on it.
CONCLUSION
I think this power supply nailed the job. It's a great supply for my computer with a 3070ti and 5800x. Really proud of this one.
The plastic ends also were inconsistent in color. Some looked dusiter or were a noticeably differnt shade of black or even gray. The tips sometimes had like weird splotches of what looked like sharpie marks? It's whatever since you don't see them, but it does make you wonder how well made it is.
I think it's a fine product, but maybe it's a good idea to get some custom cables?
