To install a memory in laptop is a little harder than a desktop, more screws to remove and slides in differently. If you don't have the experience to do this you might take to a shop and pay for installation. Once installed the memory was immediately recognized by the laptop and it functions faster and better than ever! This review involves running Windows XP Pro with a lot of resident programs firing up. It is my belief that McAfee Anti-Virus software has become a memory hog and now it actually finishes an update which used to hang before adding this memory and virtually stop all running programs. Use mostly Firefox for the internet but notice loading of pages are faster and can run chat where before at times it would hang. Upgraded from 512 to 2 gb which is max this machine would handle. Did a memory configuration test at Crucial which led me to buy this memory which is compatible. Good luck with your upgrade!

My computer used to crash a lot (programs hanging, BSODs, etc.), but after changing RAM with these ones - my PC started working like a swiss clock. Great stuff!

The Corsair Memory I purchased works great. It is compatible with my computer just like you said it would be. I love when things work the way they should. The price was reasonable and it arrived before they said it would. I would buy computer parts from Amazon again. They made it very easy.

The memory was terrible. It did not work in my machine! After it was installed my machine kept shutting down- a memory test showed the sticks were faulty.

I wanted stable memory and Corsair is it! Installed the memory without any problems. Computer recognized it immediately. Have been running it for over a month without any issues. I run a lot of programs and games on my computer and I can really tell the difference. For a small investment, memory is a good way to upgrade until you are ready for a new computer. Quick shipping from Amazon is always a plus!

We updated a program on our server. The update required more memory than we had. When we received it, one of the memory chips didn't work. I was so impressed that Amazon replaced the chip immediately. Now the server runs faster and the new program works well.

Good RAM, but I have to give a lower star rating as warning that not all modules will work. Only 1 of the 2 modules worked. I tried various things to make sure it was the module and not the machines I tried it on (3 DELLs). Definitely the module. Anyway, I have mixed feelings about the product because I will have to exchange one of the modules and I know that can take weeks.

The Corsair Memory works great and had no compatability problems with the other major brand of memory already installed.Cost was good compared to other popular brands.All in all, it just works. And I have never had a bad stick of Corsair memory.

I'm upgrading an old system with an Intel 865perl motherboard, so I bought this kit. It made quite a difference in the overall performance. Before buying this kit I'd bought CMC2GX1M2A400C3, but I had some compatibility issues and the sticks didn't post every time.

This is simply good memory and it wont crash and burn like PNY memory does. If your considering a good, low density memory for a desktop..then this it. It performs like the big money brands..Kingston...Crucial..at about half the price. Best memory for the money on Amazon.

I put this memory in my Mom's Compaq Presario SR1830NX to get her PC up to the max 3GB that Windows XP 32 will recognize. It worked great, she is very happy with the upgrade.

I bought Corsair memory for my personal desktop to increase memory from 1.5gb to 2.0 gb. A friend, who works in the IT field, told me that all chips are produced by the same manufacturer, and thus, I should by the least expensive, which happened to be Corsair. Although my system booted after the installation, I saw little improvement in speed. However, the real problem was that my system would freeze - constantly - in any and all of my programs. Then it became an even bigger problem. My system began shutting down and restarting on its own while I was in the midst of doing work. As soon as I replaced the Corsair memory with the original, all problems ceased. I then returned the Corsair and and ordered PNY.

The Corsair memory installed with no problems and my pc is working excellent. I would recommend Corsair to anyone wishing to upgrade or replace old memory. As usual they provided a quality product and Amazon got it to me in a hurry and in perfect condition.
