I ordered the advertised Corsair brand memory, but received Crucial brand memory in place of it. The vendor did not ask me if the substitution was okay. I have had to repeatedly RMA Crucial memory sticks over the years, due to unexplained failures, blue screens, sudden reboots, Etc., so I was not happy with this unexpected substitution by the vendor. I would have canceled the order, if given the opportunity. While both brands have lifetime warranties to the original owner, this was used memory that I received, not new. I don't know if Crucial will honor their warranty if the memory fails. Either way I would have to pay the return shipping to send the substituted brand back. I have been ordering tech products for over 30 years and cannot remember a vendor ever pulling a stunt like this one did. This is clearly a case of bait with a high quality brand and then switch shipping an inferior brand. I would never order any products from Nemix again.

To breathe new life to this computer at my guest room I installed 2 more additional gigs of this brand memory sticks into a Compaq SR1750NX about a month before the time I bought the same memory sticks from a nearby Fry's Electronics. When I bought this memory then installed it however, problems started to arise. First, the screen would flicker and then lines would appear causing a crash or unexpected reboot. Then after attempts to unseat each memory stick, from 4 gigs down to 2 gigs it kept going to the BSOD error at random, even when it came to simply browsing the internet. I assumed I had figured it all out when I removed one of the 1 gig sticks from Fry's Electronics purchase and used the two gigs from this site, and one from Fry's to total out to 3 gigs. But right now even though I am able to use the computer with no crashes or BSOD errors; now there's video flicker problems when I watch video at full size compared to the time when I had only 1 gig.Not sure if it's due to my current OS (Windows XP Pro) of only have 32-bit over 64 bit, or if I need a faster video card since I started to use a bigger monitor (from 22 inches to 24 inches), but it's not really significant in speed at having 3 gigs of this memory.I'm probably going to change the RAM to Crucial, change the video card to handle this monitor, but a little after I change to a 64-bit Windows 7 Operating system. I would pass on these sticks and go to Crucial instead. Save the money or get a migraine.

I got 2 x 2 Corsair DDR 400Mhx to fix an old PC I had at home, but not even a year have passed since I got the 4 ram modules and they are all dead. I tested all memory modules one by one using Memtest86 and they all shows errors at around 30% of the scan, and the PC bluescreens as soon as it boots up (if I use other RAM modules, the PC boots fine).Will never buy any other corsair product anymore

Was great to find these modules for a great price. I am at time apprehensive about buying something used, but when it comes to RAM, you really have a thin margin of failure. Works like a charm since installing with absolutely no issues. My favorite brand of RAM, and I have used many! As always, great product!

This item was ordered to add to my old laptop to increase the speed. It was necessary as I updraded my HP Presario DV-5000 and my Compaq DV-5015US from Windows XP to Vista. The hard disk was constantly working and very slow to do anything because of the lack of memory (only 512M and 1GB). So I decided to upgrade both laptops to 2G Ram. Now they are fast and stop accessing the hard disk all the time.

Trying to breathe a little life into an old machine that was used box-stock (although box stock was pretty potent) for 7 years, i decide to max out my RAM among other upgrades. i put these in the primary channel and moved my old RAm to the secondary channel and they are working splendidly. A real bargain.

I had 1GB of memory in my laptop, that had been fine for editing and stitching together TIF images when they were normal size. But after scanning some large photos, I was winding up with 363MB TIFs (21,000x6,000 pixels) that when "stitching" other pieces to it, starting to cause the SW to flush the memory pages to disk. This caused a tremendous delay when editing. With double the memory now, the SW can keep it all in memory. The new memory works fine with no errors.

My song also bought me this along with a 3.06ghz P4. We can't complain even it's used. Don't underestimate used items. My son says that this type of tech is so old that it worth more buying in this condition, it doesn't matter if it's used. Corsair is a big brand, it seems that they make good components. These RAM sticks are working properly.
