It works well on a home built NAS... unfortunately it was a bit larger than I expected and it didn't fit inside the telescoping cone attached to the side wall of the case that puts the fans effectiveness right on the CPU cooling fins... However, flipping it around and mounting it on the outside seems to work just as well....

I mounted on the side of my case where it has the highest probability for vibration and it has been working great for the 2 months I have had it

Not the quietest fan on the market but it does the job. I'm using two as case exhaust fans and according to my fan utility they are operating at 2,550 RPM. These fans have three pin connectors and there is a 3 pin to 4 pin adapter in the box. Fan life is listed on the box as 40,000 hours.

This seems like a good fan, nothing special about it, it spins and moves air.Why is everyone saying this fan is quiet when it is screaming along at 26 dBA @ 2500 RPM? Wow! If you are looking for a quiet fan, try the SAF-B84-E1 which is 13 dBA @ 1400 RPM.

Other than fit ( size & connection ), the two most important factors of a fan are ""air flow" and "life expectancy" ( mean-time between failure would be better ). Yes, noise is a factor, but if air flow is sacrificed for noise, it's not much help.For it's size and price, this fan has good air flow at 29 CFM with a life expectancy of 40,000 hours. Also, Cooler Master has a good reputation.This fan fit my needs and was light on my pocketbook. So, I am happy and would recommend it to others.

I replaced a failing Sunon fan with this and am quite happy with the purchase. While the airflow isn't quite what the Sunon had, it is adequate for my system and is fairly quiet.

I needed a new case fan and based on the price and decent reviews I decided that this fan was worth a shot. It does the job, but its by no means quiet. Now, its not the loudest fan either, but its close. I'm getting by with it for the time being, but at some point I'm probably going to replace it with something quieter. If your looking for something inexpensive and don't mind the noise, this is perfect, if not you should probably spend a bit more and get something better.

Nice fan, quiet, and blows a good amount of air considering its size.been using it for three weeks, no glitch.Recommended.Been using it for 9 months now, still silent and never hung on me.Recommended again.A year and a half passed, still rolling without a single noise :) knock on wood lol

i like coolmaster products because the have a lot of choices.this fan is made from good quality materials, and is quiet.i prefer the ballbearing ones , so this fan is very good and the best is vnot expensive
