It was so easy to use and edit my photos. I like that the ink and paper are one unit. I hope the price for the cartriges isn't to much. I have a Kodak all in one and it never worked right, this will definiately take its place. Good bye Kodak.

I was expecting a bigger printer and when I saw the size of it, I thought that in no way could this create a quality print. What a pleasant surprise I was in for. The pictures look professionally done. I used it with some students to make free graduation pictures and the kids doing it loved the results so much, I had to stop them or else they would have been playing with it all night.The only improvement I see would be to have it come with a battery. That would make it more versatile. As is, it is an incredible technological achievement to produce so fine a picture from such a small machine that is easy to transport and use.

This being my first compact photo printer I'm not terribly pleased with the results. The photo printing quality is decent. My biggest issue is that you can't maneuver the picture via the LCD. I found many of my images cut off the picture. If you could crop the picture via the LCD this would fix the main issue. I also don't like the fact that you have to use Canon's paper. I had tons of 4x6 paper at home that will not work in the printer. So basically, I'm giving it away because it's not the worth the price to ship it back. I would not recommend the product to someone looking for an inexpensive compact photo printer...pay the money and get a little better quality.

I would gladly purchase again, we purchased for our charity group to take pictures of children in their Halloween costumes so they could decorate the pictures as a memento of the event. so needed an on site printer (actually two) to do the job. Worked great, it could be a little faster but for the money I think it was just right.

I purchased this to use at my daughter's sweet 16 birthday party. Photo booth rentals begin at over $500. So, I was hoping that this would be an inexpensive option so the kids could go home with some photos.Unfortunately my photographer (a friend) had a memory card that was not compatible. I knew that this could be a possibility so I had brought an adapter. The problem was that the printer considered my USB card adapter to be an unrecognized USB connection.I guess I should have thought of ALL contingencies. (USB port only works connected to a computer)

It's hard to describe how much better the Selphy's images are than what you get from most ink-jet printers. Don't be put off by the rated 300-dpi resolution; dye-sublimation blends colors by layering them over each other, while ink-jets simulate colors using side-by-side dithered dots. So, ink-jets _need_ higher resolutions just to fool our eyes. The Selphy's output is best compared to commercial photo-finishers, but with instant gratification.Only a couple of quibbles:You can only use Canon's special paper-and-ink-roll packs, but that's due to dye-sub being a different development process. Price per print is pretty reasonable, especially if you get the 108-count triple pack, which you'll probably want to anyway.The printer itself may be small, but the loading tray sticks out a good seven inches, and you'll need to be sure that another six inches stays clear on the back side. The printing process runs the paper back and forth through the unit, layering the primary colors and then a cover coat. This means the total footprint is larger than printer size would indicate, and with the loading tray inserted, it's kind of ungainly. Not a grab-and-go gizmo -- for that, you should consider its cousin, the ES3.But man, you can't beat the image quality and print durability.

Produces nice quality photos,but took about 1-2 minutes per photo. which is ok if you're only printing a few here and there. if you want to print alot of pics, do them at cvs.only thing i don't like is that the 2 edges are perforated, have to tear off the extra photo paper edges(needs particular type of photo paper, specific to this printer).

Its an amazing little printer. It was very simple to hook up and was able to start printing right away. There is only one small draw back. If you wait a few days in between printing it takes about 3 printings to get everything back in a working order. Other than that. I love this little guy.

I purchased this printed for my mom and she absolutely loves it! I own the CP760(white) and paid about $30 more for mine through Amazon months ago. The software is user-friendly and photos are a breeze to print. It is nice to have the ability to view the picture on your monitor and edit your photos prior to printing. You can insert your SD card directly into the printer and print from there without even needing a computer, but I like being able to manipulate the image (when necessary) before printing. The photo packs will print 108 photos for roughly $28-$30. You can also purchase photo packs which have the postcard backs. Pretty neat.

I purchased two of these units. I knew what to expect as far as "time to print." It takes about ONE minute for each print. (4 passes, total. (4th is clear coat.))So far, I've run about 100 prints through each of the two printers without any issue.Works VERY well with Pictbridge on both the REBEL XTI and the EOS 40D. As for others, I can not state. So far this is the only method I've used to print. I have not connected it to a computer, or used memory cards, so I am unable to provide any information as to its functionality in those modes.The "standard" paper these use is a 4X6 "postcard" prints, which come out beautifully.The cartridge design means you will have EXACTLY the amount of each color for the number of prints in the cartridge. (Paper/INK in the same cartridge!)YOU WILL *NOT* RUN OUT OF INK BEFORE YOU RUN OUT OF PRINTS!!!!Device appears to built quite well. Nothing feels "flimsy" and the unit does not "sound like" it's working hard while running prints. (You can tell a cheap printer quite easily by listening to the motors. It they sound as though they slow down as a print starts, then the motors are junk.)I will probably buy yet another..... :-)

If you are looking for a photo printer that is convenient basic and easy to use...you cannot go wrong here! The photos print out quickly and are great quality. The printer comes with some paper & ink however if you want to print more then a few you'll need to buy additional paper & ink...which is somewhat of a pain but is honestly to be expected. It's a great addition to any house with families or those who like to take pictures. The best part is you just stick your memory card in the slot and print. No more uploading and sending them off to pick them up an hour later or have them mailed to your house! You cannot go wrong on this printer for the price!!

I purchased this printer for use in an area without power and on the strength of the words 'Optional Battery' in the description. The manual does not list this as an accessory, there is no place to put batteries, and the specs in the manual state that it is 24V at something like 400 Watts (from my shaky memory). If you had a couple of car batteries, you should be able to run this, but not any set of small batteries unless I missed something.I sent mine back. It is probably a good printer if you do not need battery.The printer is made in China.

This is a very small printer that works really well at printing off memory cards without being attached to a computer. It is easy to use and the quality of the photos is excellent.

This printer is awesome! it really does print a clear, crisp picture. I got it to take and print pictures at my wedding for the guestbook, but can't help but play with it before then.it's awesome that you can just plug your memory card right into the printer and choose the pictures you want. I'm pretty computer savvy, but having a hard time getting the printer to work with my computer once I edit or crop the images.I definitely recommend this printer to for pictures "on the go."

I have not been able to use this product because the ink and paper I ordered at the same time as the Canon Selphy has not arrived as yet. If I can't get ink, I will be very unhappy with the entire purchase. I've rated it as a 3 because that is middle of the road. Who knows what I would have rated had I been able to use the product.

I love this printer!!! Once you figure out how the ink works, it is very cool! Definately has great photo quality, and I love the fact that I can see the photo before I print it. I don't have a computer at home, so it is nice that you don't plug this printer into a computer to use it! Also, it is very small!

Printer works very well, but Canon is a cheapskate when it comes to initial supply of ink and paper. You get five sheets and enough ink for five sheets. Also, is very confusion when you try to order paper and ink, as apparently, they must be ordered together. The instruction manual never says this, but when trying to order, you don't have much option. Even so, the price for the ink and paper isn't as bad as the HP printer this one replaces. Nice and compact, easy to set up and use. Would have rated it higher had the instruction manual been more explicit. And you can't find much more on line.

First of all, can't beat this for the price. Went back and forth between this Canon and the equivilent Epson and HP models, but decided on the Selphy CP760 for a Santa Claus shoot. The printer is small (although as others have noted you need to allow a few inches fore and aft for the paper cartridge and print sequence), and easily fit into one of my Lowepro bags including extra paper and dye cartridges. Print quality IMO was excellent for what it is, and the fact that the picture is dry to the touch immediatly was exactly what I was looking for. In the user's guide it says not to have another USB device connected while the printer is being used, but I ran my D300 tethered to my laptop at the same time as the Seplhy CP760 and shot then printed repeatedly with no problems. The kids got a kick out of watching their photos pass through the printer--yellow, then red, then blue then a final pass to finish. Great, portable little printer. Very pleased.

I purchased this printer as part of a bundle package with a Canon camera 6 months ago. Quite frankly I couldn't be more pleased. It prints out photos in very little time and is more cost and time effective than going to a commercial shop for developing. The cartridge packs last a whole lot longer that I had anticipated. Although it comes with a starter set, additional kits can be purchased at Wal-mart or at Amazon. I will never purchase store bought photos again.

This is great little printer, that produces very clear and vivid permanent pictures very easily that even kids can use it. The unit can read SD and other memory cards directly and is real easy to produce fantastic color prints. The 4 and not 5 stars is because it uses Canon paper only as opposed to off the market paper - at least so far.Overall a good buy that will fill you with no regrets.
