This camera is definitely a great value. But if you are a photography purist, don't even waste your time with this product. First of all, if you're such a purist, you shouldn't even be looking in this price range. Move up to the Rebel 70D, and don't try to impress the masses with your higher than average expectations not being met by a camera that costs less than the lens of a Rebel 70D. That being said, you will get satisfactory pictures, if you are a being a tourist, attending a party, or out with the family. This isn't a camera that will photograph a still hummingbird, and it will not give you good, large format, poster-quality pictures either. First of all, it adds lots of fake color pixels, which become visible once you zoom in to your pictures on your computer. The quality of the image is also not the best, as the images can look rather grainy when you expand them to their correct size on your screen. What do you get then? Well, you get beautiful 5x7 album pictures, and you might even get a decent 11x17 small poster. Beyond that, you should not consider this camera as an option. If you're going to a hockey game, you might also want to steer clear from this camera. Especially in auto mode, the camera takes up to three full seconds to focus and shoot a picture. Even in TV mode where you are supposedly in control of the shutter speed, it is very slow to react. This is not the best camera for a sporting event, that's for sure. Also, make sure you purchase a memory card, as the camera does not have one included. The camera will perform very well in low light conditions, and it has a very decent zoom for a camera this small. Speaking of small, this camera will not fit in your pockets. But it is small enough that it didn't bother me to carry it on my hand.Overall I give the camera a 4 star rating, mostly because in its native image mode of 4608x3456 pixels, the images appear slightly blurred. That's because the actual resolution of this camera is rather low, 180 dots-per-inch. For the kind of money you'll be spending, you will be able to keep beautiful, natural-colored, and vivid album pictures. And that's OK with me if you're just being a tourist, and you'd rather not get whacked in the head over a Leica, or regretting for a long time that your children forgot your EOS 5D Mark III in a bathroom stall.

I purchased this camera mainly for one purpose - concerts. If you are a concert goer, you know all too well that most venues only allow point and shoot cameras. So as much as I would love to bring in my Canon DSLR and multiple lenses...most places would never allow that. But you can typically get away with point and shoots. So I knew I needed a small body camera that I could carry in my purse with high megapixel, Great ISO and a killer zoom. Something that would allow me to capture great shots regardless of my seat location. I purchased this camera for those reasons on Black Friday of last year and finally got to put it to the test a few days ago.I was highly impressed with the results. In fact for a bit, I think I was more excited by the pictures my camera was taking then the actual concert I attended. I won't lie...some were blurry and the camera had trouble focusing at times but that's to be expected when you have constantly changing lighting and the artist is moving and dancing around. I still am very pleased with the amount of pictures that did turn out crisp and beautiful. We had stadium seats very high up, you would never know it though from the pictures. I was able to zoom all the way in to close up face shots. I also am sure this camera will come in handy for everyday photos too. So if you are looking for a small point and shoot with amazing zoom...I highly recommend this one.

Замечательный фотик!
Плюсов много и зум и стабилизация и куча настроек.
Существенный минус есть. Это плохое качество снимков на автонастройке во всех режимах. С этим устройством нужно учиться настройкам в разных обстановках (улица, дом, освещение). Делать пробные снимки и просматривать их при увеличении. Возможно, этот кося к пропадет при перепрошивке,не знаю. Для меня интересно поразбираться в настройках. Бывают моменты, когда надо быстро сделать снимок, и здесь придется смириться с качеством снимка. Цена перебивает все минусы этого фотоаппарата. За такие деньги не реально найти такой уровень. Надеюсь мой отзыв вам поможет.

I was very hesitant buying a camera online, but was looking for one key aspect: a good zoom. When I go to places, I need to be able to zoom in and get good quality pics. The reviews were positive for this camera and I saw some fan taken videos of concerts online with this camera, so I bought it. And I am not disappointed at all. I was scared my expectations for what I wanted would be too high for what this camera is capable of, but I used the zoom to take amazing pictures and extremely clear quality videos and it worked perfectly. I have never had a device that could zoom in so far and still be so clear, and that is the most valuable trait to me. This camera works amazingly and I am very satisfied. And I bought used one but it looked absolutely brand new, so even better without hurting my wallet. Extremely excited to see the pics and videos I'll be able to take with this camera!

Очень удачная модель , отличный макрозум, спасибо предыдущим отзывам , очень помогли сделать правильный выбор, сначала сделала пару фото без вспышки на режиме авто, потом дошло что нужно вручную достать вспышку и о счастье все получилось!!! Прыгала от радости за качество фото минут десять)))надеюсь в процессе использования не огорчит!

So far I'm in love with this camera. I'm replacing a 3x optic zoom 10.1 megapixel kodac so how would I not love this camera!?!? Most of the reviews that bash this camera are comparing it to much more expensive cameras. I wanted the best point and shoot because it gives me quality photos without the cost of a DSLR camera. It works perfect for our growing family. The zoom is pretty awesome. I've been taking pictures of birds in the high trees near my home from my kitchen table, through the sliding glass door and I simply couldn't be happier with my photos. Red eye fix on camera as well as color/lense fix (like what you might use instagram for).

Купила этот фотоаппарат за 5780. Цена вполне адекватная. Не смотря на мелкие недостатки, покупкой осталась довольна.
Качество снимков радует, а это главное!

I had am old canon AS3100is and wanted a newer camera with more features. I mainly use the camera for night shots and Astrophotography. This camera does everything I wanted and more. The 30x optical zoom is fine, but when the digital zoon is on I can take pictures of the moon and see the craters, rays, and mountains with no problem. Would definately buy more from this company. Maybe I might get another for my wife.

Bought this as a step up from Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10 before going on vacation. Being older model price was very good. Camera is still reasonably light and compact even with 30x optical zoom. Was very easy to use. Very happy with results. Very good value for casual user.

I am still waiting for the arrival of the lens adapter and filters, as well as the package set which also includes the LCD protectors, so I am being very careful with my fantastic new camera. Add to this that i am a nature photographer, primarily, and everything is quite dead and i will have to add to review as I take more photos. I will say that the camera works great with no glitches. It arrived exactly on the due date with everything intact and working well. The pictures I have taken have been perfect. I am someone who is considered a professional, and have a degree in photography and everyone expects someone like me to have a DSL-R; but because of a very serious auto accident I can not longer carry around a heavy bag full of lenses and extra equipment, so imagine my joy over finding cameras like this. After all, a true photographer knows framing and lighting and can take a good photo with any piece of equipment.I am excited to recieve my filters and extra lenses and to put this camera to its full uses at which time I will give a more in depth review. But this camera is light, easy to hold, the pictures are clear and I am able to make good sized 300 to 600dpi prints and products. I am amazed at the amount of vacation photographers with DSLR cameras who, lets be honest, dont really know what they are doing with them... and I agree with a previous reviewer that this is no camera for a beginner. But if you want to save alot of money, not lug a heavy bag of equipment around, miss shots changing lenses, and still come away with professional quality photos, so far this camera fits the bill. It's an advanced "point and shoot" so if you're a beginner, I would recommend a different camera. But if you know what you are doing, this camera is, so far, working fantastically.And btw with my prime account the two day free shipping was fantastic! Once again Amazon is my favorite retailer of everything, and this is my first canon and I couldnt be happier!More to come...

I love this camera! Its Great for going to my sons baseball games, small enough to pack around with Great zoom!! Great clarity! The image stabilizer is a Must for sports! Canon knows how to make great cameras for life's memorable moments. I wanted to get the powershot with the 50x zoom but it wasn't in my budget. This affordable camera is an Awesome alternative. Love it!!!!

I had originally wanted a EOS DSL camera, but I wanted to start with something I little more basic to begin with. This camera was just what I needed. It has several different settings that make it very unique for a powershot camera.
