Having used the product myself a few times, I must concur. The 8 megapixel imagery generated is of top quality (obviously your lenses will make a difference) and the feel and comfort factor of the body is excellent. I would suggest that 350D users consider buying the highest possible speed Compact Flash cards to allow the camera to operate to its full potential, and a spare battery is always handy.
A great camera and something that I'm pleased that I bought.

This camera considering the features it has was probably the best value around at the time, it handles itself amazingly under low light and has easy to use controls. For me the camera is a learning tool, easy enough to pick up and use, but with plenty of features and a high spec theres lots more to explore.
I would prefer that the camera had a rubberish grip feel to it, but i overall it feels solid and tough. Guess they could have included a better lens too although the shots im getting with this are fantastic.
My fav points about the 350d are its incredibly fast start up time and quick auto focus, works a treat, can take up to 3 pics a second too so with a bit of practice u can catch water droplets :)
Would advice anyone looking for a DSLR to get it, just be sure u have enough left over to buy a memory card and camera bag. Check out my website for some examples http:/kev.wavek.com - Great Camera!!!

For me, the killer feature of the Canon over other DSLRs and high end all-in-one cameras is the usable ISO 1600. Yes, there's noise, but only about as much as my old PowerShot S100 produced all the time. Put a cheap 50mm f/1.8 lens on, and you can take handheld photos indoors without flash. In old churches, even.
The only downside with the camera is that your 50mm lens becomes an 80mm, and it's very expensive to get anything equivalent to a wide angle lens on a film SLR because you need it to be a 20mm or less. If you like wide angle shots, you might want to hold off for a full frame sensor.

I do own this camera and in a nutshell it is definitely better than the 300d (which I also own). The major differences are in the speed. The 350d is so much faster - both to power up and take shots. Combined with a high speed memory card, I have literally taken over 20 shots before the buffer has filled and effects the shot rate. (This is in Sport Mode and full quality jpg setting.) With the same card in the 300d (remembering it is only 6MP) I am lucky if I can fire off 3 or 4 shots. Also, the 350d is noticeably quicker shot to shot.
Another of the major differences is in the size - the 350d is smaller than the 300d. This is great if you have smaller hands, like my wife, but it does effect how a larger handed person can hold the camera steady. The reduced size (and other factors) has resulted in a lighter weight camera - which is good.
What is a little annoying, is they have used different batteries for the 350d. Only in that you can't use the batteries or charger from your 300d (if you own one). If not, then it won't matter. However, the batteries do seem to last longer.
My 300d cost nearly £900 when I bought it new. The 350d is surprisingly cheaper.
I'm running out of words, so for a more in depth review check the site listed above.
Definitely recommended.

I have to say the images are very crisp and on a standard 512 Mb card you will store c. 150 medium quality images - that is images that you can enalrge to A4 (at least) before pixelation.
Another big plus is the compatibility with Canon EF lenses - so you dont need to kit out a whole new bunch of lenses if you are upgrading from and EOS SLR.
In a recent review in AP - it came out as pick of the bunch and bearing in mind that it is not considered 'professional' it is the best resolution for the lowest prices with the best array of features.

Cheaper than the competition and the picture quality is nicer - less "artefacting" and better detail levels than the Nikon D70s.

This is THE DSLR for the consumer, if you're passionate about photography but you're not a professional go for it.
It definitely beats ANY Nikon camera at this price range.

Having taken some wonderful pictures with the SLR as well as lots of dire ones, and having discovered the convenience of digital photography, the release of the 350D made me finally take teh step into buying a digital SLR. It is fully compatible with my existing lenses and the 18-55mm lens supplied is also a useful and versatile addition.
The beauty of digital photography is the immediacy of being able to review what you have shot as soon as the picture is taken. This, and the fact tbat you don't need to buy film and have it developed after the event means I now take many more photographs and can experiment with the settings on the camera with much more confidence and learn more about photography in the process.
I actually took a pretty heavy fall holding the camera and dropped it on a concrete patio in the process and although it is scratched and the lens slightly damaged, both the camera and lens are working fine still which is very impressive for a sophisticated piece of electronics.
Highly recommended, especially if you already own Canon lenses or other equipment.

The ability to shoot at ISO 1600 and produce usable pictures has been invaluable on several occasions. Results are superb at lower ISO's.
It’s also very robust, I've dropped mine from waist height onto concrete (twice) and it still works perfectly.

If you are serious about photography, buy this now.

For the amateur photographer like myself it is truly user friendly.
I would totally recommend it to anyone who is considering upgrading their digital camera.Coupled with the £100 cashback promotion and a free 256Mb cf card it was a truly great offer for under £500.
With the 256mb card it means I can get approx 500 pictures of really good quality.
Full marks to Canon.

Just beware of the scammers on this site. Quite often you get people offering to sell this camera and other canon SLR for very very cheap prices, on the marketplace. I almost got conned. After trying to purchase one, I got an e-mail from amazon saying that the transaction could not be completed and that I should contact the seller. To cut along story short the seller said he had a problem with HIS credit card, but would except payment through western union. This chap was in Spain. I smelt a rat and decided to not purchase, I am 99% sure this was a scam. After reading on the interent it seems scams such as these are not uncommon with Amazon. Amazon does not give enough warning about scammers like this, so I thought I would help out a bit.
Remember if a deal seems to good to be true it probabily is. Just don't do third party transactions, you are covered by "A-Z" with transactions done through Amazon.
So be aware everyone!!!!!

be careful though, the kit does not come with a compact flash card so you can't use the camera straight away without one.

I have approximately 25 years of experience with photography and this is a worthy replacement for my trusty Canon T90 (film camera) and olympus UZ2100 digicam. This is a camera that is perfectly at home in the hands of novices or semi pros, and don;t let its diminutive size put you off, go down the high street and handle it for yourself, you won't be disappointed.
I've had mine for about ten weeks now, and have already taken hundreds of great photos. Buy one soon and be amazed at the results.

Being relatively new to photography, I am looking forward to learning and am very happy with my choice of camera to do so.
Get's a firm recommendation from me.

If you search the web with the terms "Canon Digital Camera Error 99" you will learn a lot about Canon's after-sales support (zero) for what is apparently a design fault in the software. Do not be fooled into thinking that this only happens with non-Canon lenses either - there are several cases of it happening with Canon lenses too!
This error basically renders the camera useless (you never know whether it will take a shot or not), so beware!
