Paper jam in the 2nd print itself
I am facing paper jam with this printer in the 2nd print itself from the date of purchase. Had registered the complain but no action is being taken. Wastege of time and money in total, would not recommend anyone to purchase it.

Just fine.
Ordered Friday, received Monday, so amazing delivery right off the bat.
Print quality is crisp and clear.
I print a lot of documents and books hence the auto duplex. But when I gave an auto duplex print, it only printed half a page on one of the sides. Bummer!
Called customer care. Very responsive. I was personally attended to the very next day and when I gave a print, the duplex worked just fine! Isn't that how it always goes?

All in all, when it comes to low end laser printers, this seems like a winner. I'll update my review after a couple of months or if I encounter any trouble.

I have purchase this printer in May 2019 its more than 2 months and is working perfectly.
No issue aroused so far.
You can refill its cartridge by yourself or get it refilled in market which will cost around ₹300-400 which is 8 times cheaper than the new brother cartridge and print quality is almost same.
It is a duplex printer i.e. prints simultaneously on both sides of paper. The print speed is highly satisfying.
I have printed 550 pages at one go without any page stuck.
The no. Of pages that can be printed in 1 cartridge depends on what you print i.e. printing text only will allow you to print around 1500-1600 pages (this is just an approx. idea as i have not counted the no. Of pages printed)
if you print pages with images you will end up your cartridge with less no. of printed pages.
It also depends on whether you turned on toner saver mode or not.
Also dont forget to turn on duplex mode before printing.
I will update this review after some time when my cartridge will be finished and will let to know the no. Of pages it prints in 1 full cartridge.

Good value printer with duplex!
Good value product with duplex feature. With easy double side printing, it saves a lot on paper. So far no paper jams. Small minus is it’s a little noisy compared to my earlier HP.

What more could we Ask for More ??? Super Printer Duplex
At this price range Duplex printer means you put some 300 odd sheets and forget and give print command and it prints both front and back in a jiffy.I even printed my Study materials PDF in a jiffy.Just combine all those study material pdf and press print and rest it will do printing by itself no worry about paper reverse and all all done it itself .Just use it wisely easy to intall .At this prince range worth it .Don't worry about replacement cartridge even just as razor and blade marketing the toner is priced high .But still worth it.

Stopped Working within a month!
I have used printers from almost all brands be it HP, Samsung, Cannon etc. This is my second Brother printer. The first one worked for 7-8 months and then the printer died on us. This one has stopped working in a month. I strongly don't recommend Brother products just because of the built quality. They offer excellent value for money until they are working but unfortunately they dont work more than few months and in this case not even a month.

bought for Chrome OS - NO SUPPORT
called Brother to ask for return - no because I should have researched it myself - their site doesn't mention it DOES NOT support Chrome OS - work around? connect to a USB-router and hope for the best after configuring it with a win/mac laptop

The minimalist winner
I have used this product for a few days now, and admittedly, the printer does what it claims well. The printer produces relatively sharp pictures in black and white and is the ideal device for someone who needs a durable laser printer and does not want to spend to much on it. The printer supports double sided printing, which is common, but still a good feature to have nonetheless. The page tray claims to be able to hold above 200 pages, but it may vary based on the quality and thickness of the paper. The installation process was the easiest part and took nearly 10 minutes to get it up and running. The product is cost-efficient and can support office environment and house environment based on your requirements. One thing I do not particularly like about this product is the printing speed, however, given the price and the quality, its a forgivable factor.
Overall recommend this product to any person who is looking for a basic printer that can help them with their black and white printing requirements.

Great..!! Go for it..
Bought it after reading the reviews and considering my requirements which was small sce printing of study materials and stuff..So opted for this duplex model..very fast and prompt printing..once or twice faced paper jamming issue..Must use paper thickness above 70mm..otherwisethere are sligh chances of jammingduring duplex printing ..Anyway sorting out a paper jam was super easy as there are brother's own step by step YouTube tutorials..Avoid it all together by using good quality paper esp during duplex..

I own several printers for my office and of each kind ink tank , laserjet , thermal etc and of every price point. but this baby is awesome. it does the job perfectly and accurately. and those who think that its too expensive as its toner and drums cost more... you should never buy the original toner and drums. always go for a local printer shop and ask them for a refil. 200 rs is what i pay here for refill. Good day my nibbass

Best and cheap for auto duplex black and white laser printing
For those who want only black and white printouts, this is the best. Although the plastic made of the machine feels little delicate. Easy to install and use. There is no scanner and color print in this. Multifunctional printers only make the system more complicated when repairs come and expensive. Otherwise, you can buy them separately and use, all come to the same cost as a multifunctional printer.

Excellent printer with auto duplex printing facility, highly reasonable price. Working very well. One of the oldest printer company. Very low priced cartridge. I would strongly recommend the printer. Just go ahead and buy it.

Top class printer. I have total 3 Brother printers at my shop
All are work horses. This is a sibling of 2541. But only print. No scan and xerox. 2541 I have still and it has printed more than 2 lakh pages. I know this printer also will go beyond 2 lakhs. Thank you brother.

Gives paper jam error even without any paper
I received the printer day before yesterday. Yesterday I tried printing. But it always gives printer jam error. Followed all troubleshooting instructions. Checked paper tray, drum unit, back side. No paper found anywhere. Also tried different types of papers. No luck. Will try one more time today, then return it if it does not work still.

Overall printer is a good choice for monochrome printing purposes.

1) Functional-Printing Quality is very good with duplex printing. Duplex printing is fast, simple and well automated.
2) Build Quality:- Printer is robust and have great build quality.
3) Printing tray capacity: Qty I haven’t measured but it can take easily 100 sheets.
4) Cartridge: Long Lasting Cartridge with very easy installation..Guided by there Manual.

Yes, there are older reliable options from HP but they're massively outdated, overpriced

At this price, you can't expect the same features without compromised quality from anything else.
It's true that supplies may not be available locally as it is for HP and Canon but plenty replacement cartridges, tutorials available to do things correctly yourself.
Most of us won't encounter issues and this auto-duplex printer is the one to go for.

Fantastic! High ppm, cheap, well built, cheap to buy and run
A no-nonsense printer that has just the features that are useful and does then very well. Inspite of this being one of the cheapest printers, it has some of the best specs compared to others in its league. It is priced chesoer than a lot of other places although it is significantly more expensive than the exact same model abroad. I would still recommend this printer over others.

Missing Security Label raises doubts on product authenticity
The disappointment was that of the missing security label on the package. No where it was to be found after screening through the areas based on the instructions. Such experiences hinder online procurement and search for genuine products. I have requested for a replacement which I hope is up to the mark and policies of Brother.

Earlier i had epson l130 but speed was 2 slow and quality was not great. It got problem in printhead which never get fixed and now it's uslese.
Best decision to buy this.

Good Product. Works with Ubuntu Linux (.Deb package and .rpm package)
I received on 24/03/2019. Yes, it's good product. Noise level is comparatively low. I use Ubuntu Linux OS. Drivers Not provided in supplied CD. Need some 20 to 30 minutes of time to install the Drivers in Ubuntu. Everything is going well. Duplex Printing in Ubuntu is Tumble. Means we have to tumble the paper to see the print other side. Don't know how to solve.

You can't print from mobile device.
A big drawback, you can't print documents from mobile device in anyway. Only way is, it must be attached to PC and shared that too or it must be attached to print server. Even then you need to route documents through cloud printing or third party service.

It is a robust printer though i faced many problems but the mechanic suggested to stick with it
When it goes for duplex prints the speed comes down
Secondly, its software is not compatible with all the windows and you have to look for drivers which becomes really difficult for best use

Excellent duplex printer
Have been using for a week. Easy installation. Superb print quality upto 1200dpi. There is also a toner saver mode. Fast printing, 30ppm with auto duplex. It is a little bulky, the only drawback. Not sure about customer support.

Printer is perfect. Heavy duty, fast and efficient. Been a month of use in my warehouse with daily 200+ printouts and it works like a charm!
The only drawback is that it feels way too plasticky and that too a cheap plasticky. But you can’t really complain given the price tag.
Hence giving it full 5 stars!

I paid Rs. 7050 after discount. It is competitive price compared to local market. Package arrived (today) after a week. You will not believe that printer will be safe when looking at the package condition. But, lucky the printer is safe.

Awesome printer.
Excellent printer...could unbox and install in less than 10 minutes...driver installs automatically on windows 7 and 10 in less than a minute..build quality excellent ( had a HP one before) .. slightly expensive compared to say Samsung/Pantum but totally worth it

I order Epson model first. It got stuck after printing 2 pages. Luckily, Amazon accepted the return.
I had no idea about Brother brand. Boss, It's a beast... ! My daughter put toothpick, plastic sheets etc into it.. still no damage.. no paper jam

Good one
I bought this for my abacus center. My students helped me to install easily. The printing speed and quality is good. I found a trouble in 2 sided printing on 3rd day. The paper was going inside for duplex printing but getting jammed. By next day I checked the printer's every party removing the toner and paper tray. Then I noticed a tray which could be easily pulled out in which the paper was jammed. After the printer is perfect.

I am using it for my official purpose at home. The quality of printing is very fine and smooth.
I don't know about the after sale service as it has not created any problem yet.
A new brand to me but it's worthy in this price. I am 100% satisfied with the overall performance of the product.
Atleast it is made in Vietnam and not china.

It’s an excellent basic laser printer. Good value for money. Very easy to setup and it has duplex facility. Replacement cartridges are not excessively priced unlike many other brands. Of course, no fancy features.

1. U have mentioned that this printer contains 2600 pages inbox toner. But it failed to print even 1000 (includes back to back) pages. Til the replacement of new toner it wont works.
2. Pls provide the correct information. If its potential is to print 1000 pages pls mention the same info. Providing of Wrong information may lead to loss reputation and sometimes would also leads to face the legal actions.
Hence provide the guinuine info. As u advertise.

Sturdy easy to use standalone monochrome laser printer with fast duplex printing capability. Great value for money. Go for it if you are a small office home office (SOHO) user. However, paper larger than A4 cannot be accommodated.

Good product for office use.
I had ordered this printer at late night but thanks to Amazon who delivered promptly at very next day. It's easy to install and ready to use. After all it's an amazing Japanise product comes with 1 year on site warranty. I had confirmed this on its customer care.
However, the only thing which I am worrying about is its cost for refilling and toner replacement as compare to other printer.

Automatic Double side printing is a very good feature in this printer. The quality of prints are very good. I think this is the only laser printer with automatic double side printing at this price range.

Good printer for classroom uses.
The printer is good for day to day classroom prints. Durability of the printer and the ink needs to be checked with time.
Maybe its with every other printers out there but this one Needs very high voltage. Our inverter and battery can't handle the initial warm up of the machine.
Maybe its with every other printers out there but this one Needs very high voltage. Our inverter and battery can't handle the initial warm up of the machine.

Good quality printer but not to my expectations.
I am having trouble with the product
Now I feel I should have purchase a wifi printer. Is it possible to return it and get a Wi-Fi printer either hp or brother at a range of 11k? Please let me know if you allow exchange. Original toner cartridge is not a branded quality, it is Chinese product with OA03 NA print.
