Power and Versatility
This router is everything that I have ever read in product reviews. It is extremely powerful and highly versatile. I can change between a fix base to a plunge set up in a few minutes. The router provides ample power for most routing requirements in a home shop setup.
When you pair this up with a router guide, it provide a tremendous amount of accuracy and versatility for things like rabbit cuts. This is not a small machine so I tend to use this for applications that require the extra power. It's well built. My only complaint is that one needs to purchase the dust extraction hood separately which works well when it stays on however, that part needs to be improved. Overall, an excellent router.

Great router!!
Before my bosch i had 2 old router that both failed within a month of cutting tops for live edge tables... i bought my first bosch and it cut 4 times faster than the old ones. This is my 2nd bosch router. I used the 1st one so much i had to get another one for my table!
I had a bearing fail in the1st one sent it away and with in 3 weeks it was back as good as new! Thank Bosch!!
I like how smooth it cuts with a new bit!! I like the plunge, i like it in my table..
The only problem i had was sawdust getting behind in the switch. A little air took it out a few times.. update the switch is easy to remove and clean, look for Utube video.

Accurate, precision router
Absolutely love this router! Have a little used Maximum router that is terribly inaccurate, this is the replacement. First Bosch tool and am impressed with the quality and performance. Used it with the Porter Cable dovetail jig, also purchased from Amazon, it accurately cut beautiful dovetails. I would also recommend spiral bits if you want to improve your dovetails. All bundled in all very happy with my purchase!

Great router worth every cent but parts where missing
This machine was worth every penny I was the fence about getting this router it is such a nice machine the only draw back is that it could have come with a few more attachments like a guide and the dust extraction hood but minor details this thing works great and I am very happy I got it thank you bosch and Amazon. (update) well there was no 1/4 collet in box had to call Amazon said they would ship a whole new one with no guarantee that everything was in there so I had to call bosch they were good about it sending collet in a week but what a hassle so my rating was 4 stars the machine is great but could have been better with accessories and the actual parts that were supposed to have come with it would have been nice the first time.

I love this router
I love this router! One part is permanently screwed to a router table, Another is for a freehand usage and the motor easily fits any of them. I used 2 other routers before and this one is certainly the best. I also replaced all my bits to ones with 1/2", they are really good and safe

Great versatile router
This is a great, versatile router. All of the accessories that you can get are a great help as well. It takes a little while to get fast at setting it up, and putting it back in the case can be a pain, but this router combined with the bosch router table make a great addition to your kit. It can handle most routing tasks. I've had some pretty big bits in it, and never has this router seemed bogged down. My only issue is that some snake theif has stolen 2 of these routers from me.

Dosent work
Not impressed with this router at all I have it little over 2 months used it twice and the motor is not running at full speed over heating and smoking . I’m only doing light trim work . Now I have to waste my time to drive 30 miles to drop it off to a service centre and 30 miles to pick it up again . Oh did I say not impressed Bosch

Good decision!
This is my first router and I did a lot of research before deciding to go with the Bosch. Very glad I did, this is a solid well made kit. I've taken the plunge base out for a few rides, easy to work from the get go. The only thing I had a bit of trouble with was the weight but it's just a matter of technique and I have already made adaptations to how I hold it and where it is in relation to my body. I'm sure once I get it just right it won't be an issue at all. For reference I'm a 52yr old 5'7" woman.

Excellant quality
Fit and finish on this router and the two bases is exceptional. Using the router for wood working projects around the house as well as flattening live edge wood slabs to make furniture. Love the wooden grips on the base and the soft start that reduces router torque while starting. Router has lots of power and is less noisy than my other routers.

The weight for smaller wood workers.
Excellent well made and versatile. The variable speed is a must. The plunge is a bit hard and weight but heavy for the smaller wood worker such a myself. For tough strong worker it would be a cinch. Very happy with it. It runs like a hot knife thru butter!!

My first router and I love it.
Comfortable grips especially on the plunge.
Used the stationary mount under my router table and use the plunge mount for freehand.
I've only used it on pine and poplar so far but I think it would handle any type of wood with ease.

Great router!
Great router, smooth operation...love the soft start. I also bought the optional router table mount and have it installed on my Kreg router table so I'm set for all my routing needs. Recommended!

Great Tool
My first new router that isn’t a hand-me-down. Excellent build quality and very easy to use. Out of the box, the plunge base spring coils were a little stiff, but after a couple uses it’s become very smooth. There are lots of reviews of this router out there, so I’ll suffice to say that this is exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend.

An Amazing Tool!
My husband loved the variable speed.
It comes with both 1/4" and 1/2" arbor!
It has a good weight to it to make for a more precise cut.
It has a soft start and a carrying case!
He was thrilled to receive it as a Christmas gift and tried it right away!

Stellar router
Lots of features and a powerful router. Dust collection is mediocre, as are most routers unless they have a bottom cup as well like the Oneida Air Systems.

One of the best.
Not much can be said for this router that hasn't already been said. Great router, both bases are solid and useful, easy to change from one to the other, comes with nice forged wrenches for bit changes, motor starts up nice and gentle and has a ton of power, comes with a really nice case, also comes with 1/4" and 1/2" collets.

Great router. Very powerful and easy to use. Works great on my router lift.
My plunge attachment was sticky out of the box which causes it to make inaccurate cuts. I had to lube it with silicon to get it working decently

Great router.
Works fantastic. Great for use with a router table. You can leave the regular attachment in the table and pull the router out and use in the plunge attachment. Flaw is I had to drill holes in my table mount to fit the Bosch mounts. Took a whopping 15 minutes. No big deal. Love this so far.

damaged box and 1/4 collet not included
box was damaged as the hard case to, to make matters worse i bought this router to replace one that i have reason only 1/4 inch, this one is supposed to be 1/4 and 1/2 but the part is not in the box so its only 1/2 inch so for the price should have that part included very disappointed .

Great until the switch stopped working.
This works great up until the switch stopped working on me mid project. I guess it was just the (un)luck of the draw. It otherwise works amazing and the wooden handles on the fixed station feel great in the hands. They sent a new one over right away.

Powerless due to the switch.
Love the router but it died on me. It will not turn on. I believe it’s the switch. Hope I can get it replace or fixed. If not I am out $400 not happy about that.
