works with 3G bands 1,2,5,6 3G only works on 3G Movilnet Movistar and Digitel NO RAISES 3G BUT GOES WELL .ONLY HAS 2.5 INTERNAL MEMORYI BOUGHT IT WITH SurgeTelecom I RECOMEND ITI especially like this model of blackberry hahaha I love and recommend. I write from Venezuela, Puerto La Cruz.trabaja con bandas 3G 1,2,5,6 3G s?lo funciona en 3G Movistar Movilnet y Digitel NO LEVANTA 3G pero va bien.SOLO TIENE 2,5 MEMORIA INTERNALo compr? con SurgeTelecom lo recomiendoMe gusta especialmente este modelo de blackberry jajajaja me encanta y lo recomiendo. Yo escribo desde Venezuela, Puerto La Cruz.

the phone was great. the screen is very responsive. typing can be a little difficult on the small keyboard (full qwerty in portrait mode), touching incorrect keys due to larger screen. there are a few instances where there was a lag for no reason when running some apps. video recording in good lighting is great and picture quality is great night or day. the battery life has improved compared to my previous bb storm, giving me 15 hrs with light browsing, no video recording/streaming, little or no camera use, moderate to heavy calling and texting; ten hrs heavy use, video streaming, video recording/camera use etc. the phone has a stylish look and feel, overall I would recommend this phone to anyone.

If you are a BB die hard, or on a BES this is one of the 3 top of the line BBs. If you're not - it's a waste of money. Any other phone in this price class has a glass screen (plastic? really RIM?); a front facing camera no BB has this; at least 8 gigs of application storage (256 megs after OS load is a joke; WIFI hot spot.... In fact there are so many devices in this price range that have dual core CPU's and 4G that one wonders how much the profit margin is on this phone. Compare this to the 9900 - a really nice glass screen (though tiny) aluminum band around the midlle. The raised plastic buttons make this thing as ugly as sin.*So the plastic has held up pretty well - but still not as nice as glass.As for software. * Software updates, addittions to older programs (BBM now has voice calls) and new programs BB Navigation, have brought the software side up to where it should have been 2 years ago. Just in time for the release of the Z-10.It's blackberry 5.0 + 2. Nothing really new or creative here. The web browsing is better and almost on par with the other platforms. But there will be NO THEMES for OS7, the new hardware broke the theme studio and it can not be fixed. There will be no upgrade to BBX -which will be out in less than a year, and as such there will be little in the way of app development for this platform. It has no flash support, and it never will. Most of the web animation and video is still flash based and so this device will never give you the full web experience.Performance - *Again - OS fixes have really helped,but its underlying programming is this devices downfall. Much like its true predecessor the Storm line (which by the by had a much better fit and finish), the device has its moments. And it can be fast, but it is still based on a Java Kernel that was built around the time Reagan/Bush was in the White House. Try to load a Java heavy web page and the phone will hour glass. For e-mail, facebook, texting and accessing some music or pictures - this device works just fine. But I need to ask why would one spend the same money for a an Alien Ware gaming PC as for an e-machines bargain bin PC?

i bought this refurbished as a gift for my girl, 2 days after having the phone it froze on me so i just took the battery out and didnt tell my girl of course( what will she think >? that i bought her some crap) well one day was cold out site she told me the screen turned black. then the screens freeze 3 times more.. i had to returned it cuz she didnt wanted, and got my money back atleast.

I bought my phone in January 2012. It worked well for the next 10 months. Since then, I have had to have the buttons cleaned several times. After talking on a call I can't hang up. I'm losing money by added time going to the phone company because I can't hang up. I can't transfer from different topics on the menu without getting frustrated. Whenever I sync my phone and laptop the time always needs to be reset. This is very annoying. I'm now looking for a phone without buttons - only touch screen. Maybe Samsung.

The phone works well for the most part. The camera and video recording is pretty decent. The only drawbacks I've experienced is the lack of flash support and the limited market for apps. Basic apps like Adobe Reader aren't supported. As a device touted for the business world, I would expect that at least certain common productivity software be available for installation.

This is a real good smartphone from BlackBerry. It is the perfect size, and has a very fast processor with little lag.The battery lasts well over a day, with usage including imo (Skype), watching music videos off of the memory card I installed,email, some web browsing, and the occasional phone call.The browser is very good. The screen is a bit smaller than some other full screen smartphones,but the benefit of that is the whole phone is smaller and very pocketable.Also since the battery is removable, I can carry a spare and not worry about running out of juice.(You can't remove an iPhone's battery)So far I like this more than my Bold 9900 which for some reason uses up more power than this.It has never frozen up so I'm not sure why other reviewers say it does.I'm guessing user error and they probably never updated the software like they are supposed to.My only complaint about the BB OS, is that there is no official Skype App, and no Netflix App for it.Hopefully the new BB10 phones coming out in 2013 will take care of that short fall.

recently bought the product because in the Product Features and Technical Details published by the seller, was as follows:"We are working on the 850/900/1800/1900 MHz frequencies for GSM / GPRS / EDGE and operates at frequencies 800/850/1900/2100 MHz for 3G."So to receive the equipment, then after a while to activate it on my local telephone company only works with EDGE and not 3G, without knowing why, and it investigates why the product is acquired only for GSM 850/900 / 1800/1900, HSDPA 900/1700/2100, ie 3G bands 1,4,8 and not all as advertised, so it is not an international version, since it does not work in the bands 1,2,5,6 , to work on 3G.Add that as of today there are no specifications in any of that information by the seller.As a matter of time until now I can write after my purchase, I known that I disagree with the product, not recommended until they are completely sure what are the characteristics of the team, because nothing will work a team of these, because its cost is very high and do not get 100% profit.

I ordered a black international version of this phone. I received a Torch 9860 RDQ71UW Unlocked Smartphone with 3G, BlackBerry OS 7, 5 MP Camera, and 4 GB Internal Memory--No Warranty (Grey). It has a grey back on it........ It works well so far. But I would want to know if this is the international version.....

Compre este telefono que al momento de verderlo decia que era nuevo, al revisarlo me percate de que era un telefono reconstruido, vino con el conector de carga da?ado, la parte de el auricular solo se oye un solo lado, la bateria usada, y a parte especificaban que trabajaba con 3g segun estas especificaciones 3G Network - HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100; HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 / 800 y era mentira no trabaja con la red de Movistar en Venezuela, molesta que enga?en a uno, si es usado especifiquenlo para uno estar al tanto de lo que esta comprando, que desagradable es sentirse enga?ado

El tel?fono no es desbloqueado para todas las operadoras, en mi pa?s Venezuela solo funciona con Digitel por lo tanto no lo puedo usar porque mi operadora funciona en otra banda. Hay que estar atentos cuando vayan a comprar para saber lo de las bandas. No todos los Unlocked funcionan

Estoy tan triste y decepcionada, lo compr? en abril del 2012 y lo recib? un mes despu?s aqu? en Venezuela y ayer se apag? y no volvi? a encender, seg?n dicen aca en los servicios t?cnicos, es que se le quem? la placa l?gica o trajo un defecto de fabrica, pues ni la PC lo reconoce.Definitivamente este modelo es maliiiisimooo, es el 2do blackberry torch 9860 que se le quema la placa de repente y no encienden m?s, no lo recomiendo y menos que hay que comprarlos sin garant?a :/

Este tel?fono me ha decepcionado, despu?s de menos de un a?o de uso he notado que es s?per lento, no tengo ni un solo juego instalado, solo tengo unas cuantas aplicaciones y el tel?fono tarda mucho en precesar la informaci?n, se queda colgado y para iniciar se toma mas de diez minutos. Creo que para un smartphone la velocidad es fundamental y este no cumple.Personalmente no lo recomiendo.

Lo recomiendo ampliamente. Lo compre' para usarlo en Colombia y funciono' perfecto. No tuve que hacerlo desbloquear, ya viene desbloqueado para usarlo en cualquier pais. Recientemente lo use' en un viaje a Estados Unidos y solo tuve que poner una Sim de una compania de USA y funciono' perferctamente.El telefono es rapido y tiene Buena memoria para descargar aplicaciones. La pantalla tactil es facil de manejar y escribir.

Blackberry are just that, Blackberries, the phone freezes at will and most of the apps comes with price. My opinion is there are better phones out there for the same price that can do a better job. Blackberry needs to fix their operating system!!

I bought this phone in around May 2012 and the charging port is breaking.This is a constant problem with Blackberry phones I have been hearing aboutand now I am experiencing.There supposed to be a manufacture warranty for 1 year. I am getting the runaround by both Amazon and RIM!Th phone can't be good if you can not use it.CAVEAT EMPTOR

crappy. I worked hours to get bbm to work when I copied my previous phone data. 9700 much better. disgraceful how when I copied my 9700 data, the non bb appls works fine but bbm disappeared. had to wipe the phone and manually invite all my bbm to get bbm to work. really crappy as the usual bbm programmers coding. disgraceful really.

I have an inconvenient with the phone, the Band for 3G/H+ supported by my carrier (Movistar Venezuela)thats is 2 -1900mhz is not supported by the BlackBerry 9860 (bands 1,4,8), but is supported by DIGITEL Venezuela (T-MOBILE), I think is my fault also because i had to ask the seller, but I didn't knew about the bands. this information will be useful especially for UNLOCKED Phones.Any way the phone works very well in EDGE.

Unfortunately I receive the product starts but the phone turns itself off, will update the software to see if it was not being updated but continued with the same fault unfortunately lost my money. not recommend this seller

GOOD I recently bought the phone and I've read MAY NOT RAISE IN VENEZUELA 3G for Movistar. IF THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY OF CHECKED BEFORE YOU SEND THE SEA HSDPA 1900 MHZ FREQUENCY AND IS WORKING WITH 3G MOVISTAR VENEZUELA! THANKS.

I returned this to the seller. The phone's battery life was absolutely terrible. Its not worth the $280. Better you add $40 and buy yourself a Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini like I did ;)
