I bought this phone for my girlfriend. I had high expectations for it since I've been a Blackberry user for years and the new os7 phones were touted as a major improvement over previous devices. Not only were our expectations met, they were exceeded. The phone is very fast, and the touch responsiveness is smooth and precise. It's a great looking phone and well worth the price. I'll recommend it.

I bought 2 of these from Wireovia. They were advertised as NEW. Neither of them worked properly from the moment I opened the boxes. I wanted to return them, but Wireovia made me buy another one and said they would give me a credit after they received the faulty ones back. Once I was out of pocket for 3 of these NEW phones, they refused to accept the faulty ones back saying "it's impossible that both are faulty." Luckily Amazon agreed to accept the faulty phone back and refund my money. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH WIREOVIA! They sell refurbished phones as NEW. They lie!

STILL A GREAT PHONE
I may be 'old school' when it comes to replacing technology the minute a newer version hits the market, but I hate to waste money on buying NEWER products when the older version works great. I love BlackBerry phones. They've been the only phones I've owned since Smartphones became available. It may be my own issue of lacking the 'know how' but the availability of downloading Apps is somewhat limiting on BlackBerry (vs Android and Apple phones). I'm not sure I understand the 'why' for keeping BlackBerry out of the loop.
The phone is wonderful to use. I love having a Slide-Out Keyboard as well as the Virtual Keyboard. I truly depend on this phone to be my 'brain' now that my own brain is slowing down. Trust me when I tell you it's no fun forgetting important dates, appts or reminders. I also get the option of using my Carrier's data service, my home Wi-Fi or logging onto a Hotspot.
I use this phone to keep track of everything: Set appts, tasks & memos. I set the 'alarm' to remind me when it's time for take my medicine or set up a Task to keep me on top of the day-to-day issues called "life". I'd truly be lost if it wasn't for this phone.
Another really important benefit of BlackBerry is their Desktop Software which you can install on your computer allows\ing you to save everything that's on your BlackBerry phone to your computer. I get to choose if I want to use my computer's data, my phone's data or sync them together. I love that I can back up my phone (on a schedule or manually), import and/or export media, files and SYNC my Contacts, Memos, Tasks and Calendar to Microsoft Outlook. If I'm on my computer and away from my phone, I still get all the alarms, alerts, etc. that I had set up on my phone.
This is my 3rd BlackBerry (replacing the same model because I "gunked" up the Track Pad, making it malfunction. "My Bad").
When it came to switching out the two phones, it was SO EASY. It took about 15 minutes total and ALL of the information on my previous phone was transferred to this phone. I just popped in the SIM card and Media Card and that was it. Then BlackBerry asked me if I wanted to Wipe the data off my old phone..., so nice.
For those of you more technically advanced than me, BlackBerry has their own special "messaging" software (BBM) that's quite popular and quite secure. I know that BlackBerry's encryption is good from the reviews I've read. Even though I don't email using my cellphone today, I know that should I choose to do so in the future, it's there waiting for me.
I can also connect to BlackBerry's secure site to install, delete or modify Apps, check for upgrades, etc. I can also do this whether my phone is connected to my computer (via a USB port)..., just a larger screen to look at. It's so easy to transfer data back and forth.
Someday, I might feel the need to upgrade to a 'phablet' and it might mean changing out to an Android or Apple phone. But for now, this BlackBerry Torch does everything I need it to do..., and more.

Still one of the best Blackberry phones I've used
Still one of the best Blackberry phones I've used. Really good hot spot, much better on/off button to stop drunk dialing, super blue-tooth connection to car works effortlessly, and surprising good/fast internet connection, really good speaker phone. Easy to install from the last phone - the support from Blackberry was great. I carry two phones, the other is an iphone - but this one is my go-to phone and is by far and away the best one.

EXCELLENT BUY
Fast shipping-Phone arrived just 3 days after purchase..Seller was honest and replied to all my emails,and sent me photos of the phone..this blackberry is very good and functions well,and looks vey neat for a used phone..I would buy another product from this seller anytime..very solid phone,solid battery and very well kept..am a very happy buyer with no regreats at all!!

i pay for a new blackberry 9810 and i got a refurished one .until now the phone is not working .
i am very dissapointed with the phone .first the blackberry phone i bought was refurished ,and i pay for a new phone .i am so upset about buying this phone because i took it to my country guyana and i am back and until now that phone did not work ,the phone needs a new board the phone is terrible i am really sorry i bought it ,and it is a phone its has not black berry written on it and it has white manual and i saw the orignal blackberry and it is a total big different ,from the one u guys sell to me .i will like to now what will happen i bought a new phone and has to fix it .it ia not fare someone please help.i am telling everyone do not buy phones on lines no more the say their phone are new but they are not .

Some serious problem
The Blackberry Torch 9810 was sold as " new " , but it was not. Scratches on both Green / Red booting on the lower bar.
The Battery inside scratched and rubbed . Removed the cover, on the left bottom screw inside the phone a sticker they apply as a seal to make sure nobody unscrew it again ( otherwise it brakes ).
The phone itself works ok , the battery doesn't last much.
Set aside , need a really new one.
Currently waiting for the permission to return it , no answer / action since 10 days , but it's Christmass . . .

love it even though a 3g phone. would love it if there was a version of this for 4g. put the OS 7.1 on it and works better and faster than 7.0 OS

Very happy.
My husband ordered this phone and the was a problem with what was available and what he ordered. However the vendor was wonderful as was the service and it was all sorted out quickly and efficiently. He is very happy with his purchase.

Legacy Servers For BlackBerry OS 10 & Earlier Decommissioned
This is purely informative to all the BlackBerry lovers out there. The only BlackBerry phones that will work anymore are the ones that run the Android OS. Everything else was phased out and decommissioned effective January 4th, 2022. If you have a device running BlackBerry OS 10 or earlier, not even basic carrier services will work (emergency calls, text, Wi-Fi, email, and regular calling). BlackBerry Protect is also shut down for these devices, so even if you buy a used one, activating the phone is impossible. Their days have ended. Great and practical for what they were, but unfortunately reduced to a very expensive paperweight

amazon does a great job connecting sellers but some how i am not happy with blackberry products.
they need to work allot

I never got to test if it was unlocked because ...
I never got to test if it was unlocked because the sim card slot was broken also there is some sort of block on it where it requires you to make your own password and use it Everytime you turn the screen on and off and it would not let me change this in the settings because the option was greyed out.

I received a wrong item
I won't recommend this seller to anyone... I received a 9800, instead the Torch 9810 I paid.
The phone is working until now, but it is likely to be refurbished.
