Download the latest version of Drivers from Behringer website to save hrs of frustration
When I first got the UMC404HD I plugged it in and the USB interface autodetected and auto install some drivers. SO I thought all was good. I then tried some recordings. Through the headphones jack everything sounded great but the USB feed to the PC sounded horrendous. I spent hours trying to figure out why the USB interface was producing low volume distortion. I tried different sample rates, different mics, different cache sizes, different input levels on the computer. I did a bunch of searching on the web and found very little info, other than folks with the same issue who hadn't figured it out. I put a ticket to Behringer yesterday... then I dug through their website and found available drivers. I downloaded and installed these and hooray! it finally works, what's being sent over the USB matches what I hear. Save yourself hours of frustration and download the latest USB driver from the site.
I have some more playing around to do but overall the product performs as advertised post the new drivers. I give it 4 stars because the manual is pretty poor and required a fair amount of effort to get it to work properly. Now that it does, I believe it meets the need.

It CAN record 4 tracks simultaneously on Windows 10
I bought this specifically for it's ability to connect 4 mics and simultaneously record 4 stereo tracks from 4 channels. I am on a Windows 10 machine and using Audacity. Before buying i read some reviews that said that I would need some old drivers and not the latest drivers (4.39) listed on the Behringer's website. After the box arrived I ran into two specific problems that I just want to make sure that other buyers don't spend time on troubleshooting:
1. When I first connected my mics and did a sound test : nothing! It didn't get any signal coming through. After 30 mins of troubleshooting I realized that my mics need power and you have to turn on the 48v toggle switch at the back to get the power supplied to the mic. The indicator light turned on in the front and success!! Rookie mistake I know, but just double check this if you are in the same situation.
2. Now onto more serious problem that I faced. All the drives from Behringer for Windows 10 will *not* allow you to record 4 channels simultaneously. It will give you options to record either 1-2 or 3-4. In this setup you can only use two mics and record them into a stereo track (panned left and right) and then split them into two mono tracks. But this defeats the purpose of buying this 4 channel audio interface. I have tried driver version 4.59 (new) and 2.29 (old) and both had the same problem. After lots of research online, it looks like only an ASIO drive can do this 4 channel recording which is supported of the box for Mac and Linux but not Windows. There is an alternative, ASIOAll is a universal driver that works for Windows. After I downloaded (search for ASIOAll) and installed it, in Audacity (Edit->Preferences>Devices) select Windows WASAPI for Host; Microphone (UMC404HD 192K) as the Device and then you will see that there is an option of 4 under Channel. When you select 4 channel this will do the trick. After that, when you hit record button, Audacity will create 4 new tracks and start recording 4 channels into these 4 tracks simultaneously.

Does the job well
is more capable than some other interfaces that cost lot more money. Iv'e not had a single problem with this equipment.
*********UPDATE*********
The interface died. Just lights up in places that it shouldn't and Mac can't see it anymore. Was really good while it worked but is now worthless. Lasted 6 months. Will buy again or spend a little more for another brand. This interface was really nice while it worked, again.

I'm happy with it.
Coming from an Alesis IO26(10+years old) to this, there are obviously some differences. My IO26 would regularly cut out and occasionally need to be unplugged and plugged again to resume functioning. This kills any creative process. This was likely due to a faulty unit, or firewire to PCIe > firewire adapter for windows. Not sure.
Latency:
I don't see much change in regards to latency, maybe slightly better..
Volume level:
The UMC takes a HUGE hit here. It should produce the same "Line level" volume as any other device. It doesn't. Luckily for me, I have a Yamaha mixer that I was able to put into the mix to get the volume issue corrected. Without that, I was producing around 50% of the output volume to my PA system.
Sound quality:
With all of the right settings in all the right places, this things sounds pretty great. I wish I had the time or money to compare other modern units in this class... That said, I'm not returning it to try something else. I could. I just don't see a reason to. I'm happy with it.

Post Office to Production!
Due to a one day delay in delivery, I intercepted my package at the post office on the way to practice where we planned to record a few demos songs for the website.
I took the unit out of the box, plugged it in, fired up Reaper on the Mac, and was recording in minutes. Apple Audio/MIDI setup saw the unit and all four ins and outs. Then in Reaper, dropped some tracks, assigned the ins, hit record and flawless performance for four hours of recording. I have to mess with the volumes some more to get it all worked out, but overall blown away.

Best Sound Recording Device I May Never Get To Use
Considering this device is nothing more than a doorstop if you're running Windows 10, I wish I had one positive thing to say about it, but since I've had it for 3 months without being able to use it, I can't. Behringer no longer supports it and the forum can't provide help with Windows 10 drivers because they dont friggin exist. I thought I read it worked for a short time but stopped after a Windows update. From what I understand a laptop with Windows 7/8 would likely run smoothly with this device since that's the era in which it was designed. Hurry though, I also read Microsoft soon plans to discontinue support of those versions too. UGH

Very happy with it
I settled on the umc404hd even after being tempted by the new motu 2x4 but this would give me 4 channels for less $ and it seems everyone liked the unit for the most part. Turned out to be great. Its been a minute since i had an interface, the last was an old Alesis usb board with dirty channels. I went with an interface vs a mixer for purity in the signal (no pots) and small footprint. It plays great with Ableton and Tracktion but not so perfect with Studio One (won't acknowledge ins 3/4). T7 Free is great for tracking with it.

Simply put: the best interface at this price point.
To be short, this interface is the king of value at this price point. Nothing comes close to the quality and features of this interface at this price point, and it even outclasses interfaces that are two to three times more expensive.
Clean gain, great MIDAS preamps, excellent knobs and build quality, and a great selection of ports for instruments, XLR microphones, and whatever else you might need.

A Swiss Army Knife style interface
Sound quality is not spectacular, but adequate. Preamp boost volume range is lower than hoped. In a big plus however, rear TRS insert jacks on channels 1-4 allow insertion of extra line level signals by inserting 1/4 inch mono jacks just to the first click. Unit tends to need rebooting from time to time, and to do this the USB cable must be pulled from the back to interrupt bus power, along with the 9v power cord. Unit does however power itself adequately using just the USB bus if needed. Tech-wise, it has done everything I've asked it to do, including handling heavy midi, without complaint. There is no factory manual, only a single-sheet user guide.

Great for the price
I did a lot of research before buying this. What I found out was that generally, all the audio interfaces in this price range are the same. The Focusrite was much for expensive compared to this (given that this has 4 channels). Also the previous model of this (UMC404 ) had a lot of bad reviews but turned out the UMC404HD was much better. So I got this and tested it and it has been great so far.

Sounds great, be sure to download/install the software, drivers
This thing works great, sounds great. Works on your USB port. I am using it with my old Mackie mixer, so it is pretty much an A to D converter, while monitoring over my mixer. You could use it as a stand alone unit, and I tested it that way, and it worked fine. I just like the control and ability to have effects in the monitor(that are not recorded) afforded by the mixer. Then I add effects to the "dry" recordings. The unit has the ability to patch in effects if you get/have the appropriate effects patch cable(s). *be sure to download the driver software, and be sure it installs, the unit would not do 4 channels until I installed it, then found it on my computer and "opened", at which point it started working perfectly. It was a bit frustrating at first, but after the first installation, i was able to easily put it on a second machine, kind of a "duh moment". Sounds great to me!

Umc1820 is a great audio interface with eight high quality preamp inputs and MIDI In/Out
This unit (Behringer UMC404HD) was slightly noisier than I expected at high gain but overall, in this price range, it was great. No issue with the drivers for Windows. I used it to interface keyboards and a mic to my computer/DAW and quickly realized I underestimated the number of needed inputs. I ended up returning it to get the Behringer UMC1820 which has 8 inputs and MIDI In/Out plus can be expanded to 18 In / 20 Out connections. The 1820 lacks the analog inserts (basically you can insert an external reverb or compressor, etc into the audio circuit) and the higher sampling rate (the 1820 samples at a max of 96 kHz whereas the 404 will do 192 kHz) but the extra inputs were worth the extra cost.

Solidly built and an excellent value.
Great value for a simple interface. No bells and whistles but does the job getting 4 tracks simultaneously into the DAW. The windows drivers are very good too. Not sure why, but for some reason the recordings I've made using this interface seem to be a bit "thinner" sounding than other interfaces. It absolutely may not be the interface though. HAven't figured it out yet.

Берингер - новый очень хороший стандарт для полу-профессиональных музыкантов
Behringer - многие воротят нос все еще, когда они слышат эту марку или посмотреть. Факт: я могу испытать за последние 4 года только хорошие или очень хорошие продукты этой марки. Также этот аудио/MIDI Интерфейс тут не исключение. Для даже не 100 ЕВРО сложно найти топ-Интерфейс, что, в частности, с компьютером Mac абсолютно стабилен в совершенно достаточного качества может быть работают. Качество изготовления также топ. Абсолютно рекомендуется.

Все что мне нужно.
Мне нужен Интерфейс, с которым я могу записать мой E-гитара. Качество звука (по моему мирян мнение) так хорошо, как вы может быть, а также переключение между эффектами с помощью моего Boss ME-80 работает нормально. Выход для наушников также является также достаточно сильным из моих BeyerDynamic голова опрятная громкости наушников 80 Ом выпутаться. По цене мало похож на хорошо оборудованные устройства найти, вероятно.

У меня стоит Интерфейс, драйвер установлен не правильно.
После этого мне пришлось перезагрузить компьютер 1х и установки драйвера снова Запустить, после чего Интерфейс был определен правильно (WIN 10, v1803).
Интерфейс Для себя: Я купил его мне только для Бейер dynamcis с DT990 250 Ohm Правильно эксплуатировать.
Zusäztlich спалил еще мои вполне разумные студийные мониторы (прослушивание музыки и игры).
При звуке я ничего не мог отрицательный fesstellen, Output latency у меня на ca 5ms получилось без каких-либо проблем.
вера ботки тоже ничего.

Мой daily driver в Home Studio
Этот интерфейс звучит просто фантастически и не шумит почти совсем! Независимо от того, конденсаторный или динамический микрофон, только при 100% gain можно услышать легкий шум, но даже это в рамках. Микрофоны, как rode procaster, которые действительно много Гейна звучат даже нужно без предусилителя безупречно!
тем не менее, Он необходим драйвер, который для win и mac доступны для скачивания. В Linux все складывается немного сложнее, так как я мог бы реализовать хоть одну запись, но не через интерфейс. Я не мог найти на быстрые и Linux не драйвера.

От Behringer сайт загружаемого драйвера должны быть установлены дважды прежде чем всех входов и выходов стояли правильно. Нет подробной инструкции, только один разноязычный "Quickstart Guide" в крошечного шрифта.
В эксплуатации нет никаких проблем в Windows 10, он обнаружен во всех программах. Которые предусилителя для такой ценовой категории действительно очень хорошо, достаточно для Усиления сигнала слабее микрофоны. Множество выходов, к сожалению, все аналогично.
задержка невозможна на моем ПК (Core I7 8700) на 4.5 мс вниз положить (ASIO).
Я очень доволен и хотел бы купить его снова в любое время.

Делает солидное впечатление и позволяет одновременная запись 4 треков
Я была очень удивлена потому что мой опыт с Behringer в предыдущие годы были довольно паршиво.
Где это было возможно, но к продуктам на моих ожиданий в отношении опьянения поведение. При этом аудио интерфейс особенно по этой цене Берингер сделал почти ничего плохого. До 48V фантомное питание подаваемое на всех входах ;-) Я очень довольна! Программными средствами можно было бы напрячься еще немного. Но, как говорится, но по цене это не самое главное!

Очень хороший аудио Интерфейс
Я купил этот аудио Интерфейс UMC404HD Берингер, чтобы мой клавишные, гитара и два микрофона подключить и включить через ПК. Я был от валентности и переносном звук более чем удивлен и впечатлен. Тем не менее, я должен упомянуть о том, что я начинающий и поэтому я хочу задокументировать успехи. Тем не менее, я записал, следовательно, уже есть музыкальная группа и результат был более чем просто хорошо.
За это качество и эту цену я могу рекомендовать этот аудиоинтерфейс горячо.

Не получить это работает
Он был задуман как Midi/аудио Интерфейс для работы мое пианино программа the Grand 3 от Steinberg. Несмотря на загрузку всех драйверов, не дав перейти. Может быть, я сделал что-то неправильно. Оборудование высок, о качестве я, к сожалению, ничего не могу сказать.
