Отличная картинка,омрачен вопросы КК.
Монитор было бы здорово, но я одна из тех, что засвечены с вопросами. Шахта имела пятно застрявшие пиксели в середине. Качество изображения было отличным, но пришлось вернуть его, и прочитав много разных отзывов, уже взял другой монитор, чтобы получить(не Асус). На ASUS нужно там действовать сообща по вопросу КК.<БР />
этот монитор, кажется, сталкивается с вопросами контроля качества, поэтому покупатель остерегаться, готовиться к возвращению на Amazon

Один отличный экран и один с незначительными дефектами
Я заказал два из этих мониторов от Amazon складские предложения зоной. Я ожидал увидеть свет косметических повреждений, так что не имеет ничего общего с 4 звездами. Один монитор пришел с идеальным экраном. Второй монитор пришел с двумя пятнами на экране. Как и другие отзывы, я подозреваю, что они не собраны в чистых помещениях. Потому что пятна в дальней зоне на экране, не пытайтесь заменить его и играть на хуже экране. Великолепный дисплей работает с моей МСИ Р9 ярость X. Я планирую купить третий, когда я получу свой большой письменный стол из кладовки после переезда.

я не могу их игнорировать, а не два очевидных, но это будет стоить мне 600.

СЛАДКИЙ ИПС
Так что я был немного колеблющимся, чтобы купить этот монитор после прочтения так много странных комментариев. Но у меня карточку, что дал мне еще несколько страховых перки и я действительно хотел с IPS 144 Гц монитора. Хотя у меня 980TI. Что ASUS Теннесси г-Sync монитор просто не дали мне хороший Вибе. И вот я решился купил его со склада Amazon и он пришел через 2 дня. Коробка была немного потрепана, но ничего плохого. Монитор был безупречен, ни БСП, ни битых пикселей. Я должен сказать, что это чертовски хороший монитор. Я бы, не колеблясь, покупать снова или рекомендовать его тоже. Конечно, я только было это в течение недели и до сих пор так хорошо.

Ужасная просветами
Отличный монитор был очень рад видеть его на Amazon за $400.00, но когда он прибыл, я могу сказать что-то было неправильно, текст/иконки/картинки размытые/нечеткие и сумасшедшее количество точек стравил по краям монитора. Не уверен, что стоит возвращать или попробовать rmaing поскольку у меня нет монитора, чтобы использовать в то же время и не место продает этот монитор или по цене. Другой тогда, что, бесплатно синхронизации работает изумительно, 144 Гц гладкой и шелковистой, а цвет не ужасный цвет Теннесси.

Пожалуйста, позвольте мне сделать это правильно, я очень взволнован об этом мониторе. В настоящее время я имею PB278Q и хотел переключиться на более высокую частоту обновления и технологией FreeSync.

UPDATE 3/26/13:I played: Crysis 3, Dead Space 3, Skyrim, Doom 3: BFG Edition, Far Cry 3, GOW: Ascension, Mass Effect 3, and they all looked great on this monitor. I love this monitor and I definitely recommend it.----*So far I have tested 6 PS3 games with this monitor. (Note: the PS3 and Xbox 360 have graphics less good than high-end gaming PCs).*I received my monitor two days ahead of schedule (was shipped by Amazon).*This monitor is HUGE! and lightweight.*The quality of this monitor for the price is impossible to beat. What a deal!*I experienced no GHOSTING.*I'm using a HDMI cable I got from amazong for like a $1 and I compared the cable with the monster HDMI cable that came with my 60'' hdtv and I saw no difference in graphics (you may check out my review on that cable).*Some of the PS3 games I played looked outstanding while others did not but this is due to the games themselves and not the monitor.*If you own a gaming PC you'll enjoy higher graphics than us PS3/XBOX 360 owners.*My desktop screen looks true 1080p HD on this monitor; 1080p HD videos look great too.*The STAND that came with it is excellent; it allows to adjust the angle all the way down facing the floor or facing very up. Also, I put the monitor on my bed and I can freely move on my bed and this stand is so good the monitor barely even moves. Now I can play while on my bed and don't have to be careful at all about moving around! Love the stand!*This product was packed excellently; very secure and professional. I received a brand new product.*The default display settings were horrible but after messing with it for a couple minutes I got a great display. The preset display called "scenary" was the only and best looking one (the others looked terrible). I did try the settings offered by the top reviewer here but his settings were almost exactly as the preset "scenary."*The very first time I turned on the monitor, it was set to only work with VGA so I was forced to connect it to a laptop with VGA before I could actually access the monitor's menu and change to HDMI and edit all the other settings.*The speakers are terrible but this was expected; very low maximum volume too (as expected).:::GAMES TESTED/PLAYED:::*Uncharted 1 & 2: this game is extremely famous for its outstanding graphics. I finished the entire game on this monitor. The game looked absolutely outstanding from start to finish! Incredible/perfect graphics. I am now playing Uncharted 2 and the graphics are outstanding.*Infamous 1: excellent graphics; both cutscenes and gameplay looked true HD. Uncharted takes first place hands down but Infamous is right there with beautiful excellent graphics.*Sniper Ghost Warrior: this game is known for its no-good graphics. This game did not look good but we know it is the game and not the monitor!*GTA IV: shockingly this game looked terrible on this monitor. The cutscenes looked outstanding in true HD but strangely while driving vehicles the graphics looked atrocious. I was not happy at all. I don't know what is wrong.*Crysis 2: this game is very well known for its high-end graphics. The game looked excellent but not as outstanding as Uncharted. But let's not forget that I played the PS3 version - the PS3 console's graphics are limited and are not as high as high-end gaming PCs. Again, Uncharted wins first place hands down but Crysis 2 is right there at the top too.*Prototype 2: this game was criticized for its not-so-good graphics (e.g. IGN review) and it's true. I played this game on this monitor and although the cutscenes looked true HD the gameplay looked sort-of HD. Again, this is the game's fault and the PS3 console's fault and NOT the monitor's fault. Still I enjoyed and loved the game and it still looked great.*Modern Warfare 3: I only played a couple minutes of the game on the monitor but the game did not look as Uncharted and Crysis 2 and Infamous. This is probably because I am comparing in my mind every single game with Uncharted. I mean, Uncharted was absolutely incredible, and MW3's graphics could not compare. But I only played a few minutes of MW3 on this monitor so perhaps it is too soon to give a final verdict.-I need to try Skyrim, Bioshock, God of War III, Dead Space 2, AC: Revelations, and Batman Arkham City, and I'll report how the games look on this monitor, with the PS3 console.VERDICT: +5 stars. Love this monitor. I highly recommend it. The price + quality combination is unbeatable!UPDATE 9/17/12School started for me here in NYC (college senior) and I have NOT been able to play at all! I know I need to test especially Skyrim and Bioshock but I'm busy with school, schoolwork, and the gym (lifting weights 5 days a week). But when I can I'll test the games!

This is a really nice monitor, and with its integrated speakers, actually works pretty well as an HDTV.First, the image. It is very very good. I would hold back from saying that it's stunning, because at times it can appear either washed out or overly saturated, depending on how the "Splendid Video Intelligence Technology" is set. With the push of a button on the bottom of the bezel, you can switch between a number of settings such as Theater, Scenery, Night Viewing, Gaming, and one or two more. Each of these settings adjusts the contrast, saturation, brightness, etc. and can make an average looking image look very nice. And as a monitor, this works very nicely. But when using it as an HDTV, or when viewing movies from your computer, it can be a pain to change, since there is no remote control (of course).The monitor can be quirky when viewing dark scenes, since it has an irritating "feature" of turning the power off to the screen when it senses low/no signal coming through. At first, I thought the dark scenes in a movie were extremely extended, then I realized that the monitor had actually gone into power saving mode! By adjusting the aforementioned Splendid Video Intelligence Technology to a brighter mode, this no longer happened.Also quirky are the controls. For some reason, Asus decided to make the volume and brightness buttons the "+" and "-" functions for the menu as well as volume and brightness adjustments. Sound confusing? Well, it sure is. For example, when in the on-screen menu system, these two buttons serve as the up and down controls for various selections. When NOT in the menu, then they serve as "smart" [sic] buttons for controlling the volume and brightness. But to change the volume, for example, you first have to press the volume button, then press it again to lower the volume or press the brightness button to raise it. Likewise, to change brightness, you first press that button then either volume to lower, or brightness to raise. Let me tell you, getting the volume to adjust when you first get it is a confusing matter. To add to that, the two buttons aren't even located next to each other. There's another button that's used to make your menu selections in between them.I don't know why they couldn't have just made separate "+" and "-" buttons dedicated to that purpose. Also, the buttons are located on the bottom of the bezel, which makes finding the right button somewhat confusing, especially in the dark. I much prefer buttons on the side of the bezel, like Dell monitors have. But maybe that's just me.All in all, a good product once you get used to operating it. If it weren't for the silly button design, and a couple of display quirks, I would have given this five stars.

So I wish there were more reviews like this on amazon for monitors & XBOX. Although I know most people using this monitor will be looking for a great PC monitor for daily use or gaming, I am basing this review for the Xbox 360. Others may feel the same as me, but I really DON'T like the look of HD tv's on games, & most have HD response lag. My HD TVs look great on TV/Movies but on games not that great & trust me I've tried my best to get good settings. & others may be able to relate to me but I am not just a casual gamer. I play games on the 360 competitively & participate in tournaments and such. I heard this was a monitor that was going to be used at some LAN events so I picked it up to get used to it. I was hating my 27 inch Sylvania & felt like there was some HD delays that were affecting my gameplay. Anyways, I bought this monitor. Very cheap, about $160. This was my first monitor that I bought for gaming on the 360. When I got it it took my a day or 2 to get used to the size, but afterwords I love it. I really enjoy gaming on the 23 inch a lot more. Also I play all my games in 720P because I record my gameplay, many of you may know about that, there aren't very many 1080P capture cards out there, I have an HDMI capture card & record at 720P. That's a different topic though. My point in bringing this up is that 720P looks GREAT. Although I do play on it sometimes through 1080P & man is it sharp. This monitor has a very clear picture on both 720p & 1080p. I tweeked my settings quite a bit to make it to my liking. It looked pretty nice out of the box but as many would I went through all the settings to see what there were & checked them out. My picture has great color, clear picture, good response time, & is 10x better than my HD TV. About 3 months after playing on this monitor I hooked up my HD TV to see how playing on a 27 inch was again....I just about puked. Part of the problem is that I wasn't used to the bigger size (so that was understandable) but the picture was just not even close to as clear as it was on this monitor. This monitor is very cheap & high quality for such a great price, & I would recommend it to others.In conclusion, like I said I use mine on my Xbox 360 for mainly FPS gaming. I'm more than a casual gamer so I take things like response time (this one has 2ms) very seriously as anyone that plays fast paced games seriously knows that it really makes a difference. The color on this monitor, picture, & response time are really great. I would really recomend this to others for such a great low price. Budget it not too big of a deal for myself as I work 5 days a week but for many young gamers or just somebody with a tight budget, or just not wanting to spend that much, this monitor will work for you. It'll be great for gaming & normal computer activities. I've had it for about half a year now & haven't had any trouble with it at all. It works great on my Xbox 360 & my computer. I hope this review helped some people out there & especially those who are maybe looking for a good monitor for your XBOX as many reviews never mention xbox only PC. It works great for both. I would never go back to gaming on my Xbox 360 on my old HD TV (even though it's a nice TV) it's nothing compared to the clarity & response time of this monitor. I will be looking into future Asus products as I really liked this one & once again at such a great price. That is all.

I have owned the monitor for a few weeks now, and it has performed flawlessly. I use it as my computer monitor. I do not watch movies on it, and I have not used the built-in speakers. My monitor came with no dead or stuck pixels.Amazon shipped the monitor in its original box from Asus. It was left on my doorstep by the delivery person. I am glad no one saw it there and ran off with it.Attaching the base to the monitor is very easy and requires no tools. The base attaches securely, and is fairly stable. The monitor's screen has a matte finish, but the bezel around the outside of the monitor is glossy. Fortunately, the bezel is thin and unobtrusive. A single (thankfully dim) LED indicates the status of the monitor.Overall, I like the plain, unobtrusive styling of the monitor. I looked at monitors from a number of manufacturers, before choosing this monitor, and many have unnecessary cheap-looking details. E.g., a silver stripe along the bottom edge of a Dell monitor and a bright LED and lots of clear plastic around the edges of a Samsung monitor.This monitor has various display modes. Color balance and contrast are very different with each mode. sRGB and Standard modes work best for normal desktop use. I originally used sRGB mode, but the monitor was too bright in my relatively dimly lit room. There does not seem to be a way to adjust things like brightness and contrast, except in Standard mode (but I could be missing something). No matter, Standard mode offers a wide range of adjustments, and I was quickly able to adjust the display to my liking. The control buttons along the bottom edge of the monitor are no more or less intuitive that those of other monitors I have used in the past. The viewing angle is as good as other monitors I've looked at in this price range.I have owned and used a number of LCD monitors over the years, and I do not think that this monitor displays any more ghosting than these others. Perhaps there are higher-priced monitors that do not suffer from any ghosting-like artifacts, but I suspect that this monitor is just as good as others in its price range. This is a good monitor.Regarding ghosting, I watched a number of YouTube videos that show the "ghosting problem" with this monitor. The ghosting was actually more pronounced when I watched these videos on my old HP LCD monitor than when I watched them on my new Asus monitor. I suppose this means that my old monitor (which was very expensive when I bought it) had more of a ghosting problem than this monitor. It does not pay to obsess over these things.For the price, this looks to be a very good monitor, and I have no reservations recommending it to others.

Let me say first, that this monitor can take a really long time to calibrate correctly. To be fair, most monitors probably look like s*** out of the box, but I've been fiddling with the settings on mine for about a week now. It took me probably 45 minutes to get it decent, and before writing this review, I saw someone posted their settings, but the lack of being able to have preset settings (which I wouldn't really expect on any monitor) makes it sort of hard to compare them.For comparison's sake, my settings that I thought were good are:game modebrightness 90contrast 80saturation 60ascr offSmart view OFFThat's my biggest piece of advice. KEEP SMARTVIEW OFF. It washes out all your colors. I couldn't understand what it was at first, but then I realized what it could be, and google a pure black picture. with smartview on, it was a greyish brown color, not like black at all. Upon turning that off, even with bad settings for everything else, it was black black. That makes a world of difference and I wouldnt even start calibrating it until that's off.Another sort of annoying thing is that if have smooth scrolling on in something like firefox and chrome, and you don't have good settings, you'll see text ghosting when you scroll, and it can be fairly distracting. Though from what I've read, that happens on a lot of bigger monitors.That all being said, the monitor is very nice. It's gigantic, bright, great, the menu buttons on most monitors are bad, but if you put your 4 fingers on facing upwards on the menu buttons its easy to get used to as a system to change the settings, the base is nice and stable (mine shakes a bit when I type but I know for a fact that that's because my desk is wobbly), overall a very good purchase.I don't mean to scare anyone away with the above criticisms. The monitor is great, but there are some very real drawbacks that you have to work through to get it that way.

Heads up: This is for a more than average person who understands tvs / monitorsPROS: 1. This Monitor with its 2ms response time gtg which in simple terms is how fast the monitor responses to the motionsor actions your doing through either xbox in my case or pc gaming or ps3 which is just about as fast as you can get.The Benifit for this response time is your reaction time speeds up. 2. The picture quality is amazing 20million to 1 contrast with full 1080p since i use this monitor for my xbox with a hdmi cordthe picture quality is amazing 3. The design of the monitor yes not a ultra thin monitor so i guess it could be a con but the gloss black finish and the simple design is my personal preferance plus with the performance this monitor gives you for gaming who cares how thin it is. 4. This monitor is meant for gaming if you are looking for just a computer monitor yes for the price this monitor is amazing but even though it is from 2010 this monitor is still modern.Cons : These cons are small but nit picky things i didnt like 1. the stand easy assembly but it snaps/clicks onto the monitor it is sturdy but still does not seem very durable. 2. Like i said before it is not a ultra thin monitor its about 2-3in the screen depth with the stand looking at about 8 inches in depth. 3. thwe buttons are a possitive click when you hit them but the lableing on them and sometimes the difficulty of pushing them can be annoying. 4. The screen tilt is very small amount. 5. wish it had 2 hdmi not just 1.Overall: Overall yes i would recommend this monitor to a friend it is a older monitor but for the price and the features you cant beat iti love this monitor for gaming from going from a 37inch 6 year old plasma tv to this monitor is a noticable diffrence. great picture quality amazing response time and refresh rate for gaming overall a great monitor for the price and gaming. if your a gamer looking for a monitor there is a reason why so many people buy this one cheap and its a good value.

I have a few friends with 1080p monitors ranging from 21" to 24". This monitor is one of the best choices both in terms of color and physical design. I previously own 23" Samsung PX2370 which broke after 8 months. It was just my unit. One of my friends also has PX2370 for over a year with no problem. I personally think PX2370 has better colors than this monitor. But it could also be that my eyes haven't adjusted well to this monitor yet. I have been researching for a 23" or 24" 1080p monitors and I'm not yet disappointed with this monitor. I cannot use a desk mount with PX2370 which is the primary reason I'm going for ASUS. I'm going to get a desk mount so the wobble stand is no problem for me. The amazon pictures made this monitor really thick. I found some other pictures online and this is actually very slim. Just slightly thicker than PX2370.PROS:- Very solid quality build.- Slim profile (not as slim as Samsung PX2370 but this monitor has power supply built in)- comes with VESA mount- Control buttons are flushed with the surface unlike previous models- You can lift the monitor from the air vent slot which feels really sturdy- Rapid replacement warranty (I'm not sure how useful it will be when my monitor does break but it's not so pleasant to have no monitors around as my Samsung broke.)CONS:- OK stand which wobble if your desk vibrate but I don't see why that could be a problem- There are lots of USELESS options to adjust the color (If there were 100 possible adjustments, only 5 really works)- Unlike previous models, the cords come in perpendicular to the back surface -- not from the bottom.- 195$ is a little pricy. 150$ would be a great new price.BOTTOM LINE:Get it. You can use a desk mount on this slim monitor. It'll take you a while to achieve correct colors. Physical design is solid. I had a lot of monitors I wanted to buy after my Samsung broke. I saw these monitors being used in IGN pro league Starcraft II tournaments. I bought this monitor right after. There's no text ghosting in this model.I'll update any problems I may come across. I've tested Starcraft II and Diablo 3 on this monitor. They both run great.

Like virtually all monitors, preset settings are largely bad, but if you take the time to manually adjust settings (contrast, etc), this is a steal at under $200 for the PC gaming crowd.For me, 24 inch is about as large as I'd go to hit that sweet spot between size and your ability to take in the entire image without moving your head. This monitor offers little to no ghosting and excellent image quality, and is just about the perfect sub-$200 gaming monitor.I'd pay an extra $5-$10 for a remote control, something I miss from my older (and three times as expensive) Samsung, as I know I can't be the only person who finds the decades old button-driven menu system on monitors borderline rage inducing, but it's hard to knock the monitor for something that's essentially an industry standard (even if it's an utterly stupid standard).If your electric bill isn't an issue (I currently live in HI, where once you factor in taxes and fees, electricity is roughly 45 cents/kwh-over 3 times higher than what I was paying in my last residence; my first electric bill almost put me into a coma), then you can save yourself from the LED "tax" and buy this monitor in the non-LED version, which is under $150-another fantastic steal.

[NOTE: 2 stars for Amazon service - the monitor is a good one] I shopped long and hard for a new monitor to add to my current 22" Viewsonic. I picked the ASUS VE248H 24-Inch Full-HD LED Monitor with Integrated Speakers because of the Asus name brand, and because of the reviews for this specific monitor. Mine arrived with several dead pixels. (I have never had a monitor with dead pixels before, but now I understand why I read so many reviews about them-it is frustrating) I cannot imagine why it happens, either poor inspection at the factory, or something during shipping. Either way, my frustration goes towards both Amazon, and Asus. Upon choosing to return this item that has bad pixels, I was not given the choice to exchange it. The form said it was out of stock... It is not out of stock, though, but the price has increased. Asus, please coordinate with Amazon to help them handle product returns better. If Amazon told me it was out of stock, but allowed me to see some alternate choices, I would likely quickly click one of those choices. Why not give me a choice to pay the slight difference in price for the same item? Retail stores do that most of the time. As it stands, I didn't even go looking for the same monitor from Asus right away, because Amazon said it was out of stock. After 30 minutes of shopping , I went to see the listing of the original Asus monitor to check the specs, and saw it was in stock. Asus, thanks for the Nexus 7 and all the computers you've helped me build over the years - Please help Amazon with their salesmanship and customer service. (You're doing it right) And also, Give us a download from your support site to help us calibrate your monitors. Something like what we use to calibrate our HDTVs, or something like THX uses to calibrate TV's.

I like the size of this screen, I'm a software engineering student so I have to open a lot of windows with code and virtual machines, whit the browser open for research, so it gets annoying to hit alt+tab very often but with a monitor of this size I can have a lot of things on screen.I also play video-games a lot, so I change the mode to a more contrasted and bright look.At first it was too shinny for me but when I got used it doesn't bother me, the colors are a little too washed out so increasing digital vibrance in the desktop settings and lowering gamma works.One thing I dislike is that in standard mode you can't change some settings like saturation or sharpness, while in other modes like game mode you can but then the image looks flat, the shadows in this mode practically disappear as well as in night mode.Trace free is the technology used to increase the response time, you can change it in the screen controls, but at 100% I notice a green trace while scrolling documents, it's distracting and hurts my eyes after a while.And finally an issue I got after a few months of use, in scenery mode the screen lights turn off if the image displayed is too dark, I don't care too much because I don't use that mode but I'm afraid it will happen to the other modes.

This is the first Asus monitor I have purchased so I was a little concerned. The three year warranty and decent reviews were enough to convince me to give it a try and I am glad I did. Out of the box the display was vivid, crisp and met my expectations. The controls are a slight pain to reach but once you get used to their location its not much of an issue. I've had like issues with HP and Dell displays so this wasn't a disappointment. The one downside and its a very small downside is that the on/off LED is mounted on the bottom lip of the monitor. The room where the monitor sits is a bright room so its not easily to see the power led unless you are looking for it. Not a big issue but it would have been nicer if the led was mounted on the face of the monitor for easier viewing. I ran the monitor through some of the simpler video test that you can find on line and the default set up was close to the optimum settings so I didn't have to change a thing. The speakers are on the small side but they work just fine for occasional use. If you are watching movies or a gamer you will want to get better speakers. I would definitely recommend this monitor.

I bought two of these monitors. They seem to work fine, no bad pixels. However, they are too bright. I have turned the brightness on the monitors themselves all the way down as low as it will go, and have turned down the brightness via my video card's (GTX 570) driver software as far as I can without losing significant range and they're still too bright. Having two of these things on my desk can be an eye strain. I have to keep enough ambient light on around the monitors to keep it from straining my eyes. I have also been changing the color schemes in every program I own to darker colors to compensate. With such extreme measures needed to tame the overly-bright screens, trying to roughly color calibrate the monitors was difficult. I have achieved a calibration that I would label as "marginally acceptable," and the only way to improve it would be to put some brightness back in, which is not an option for me.Also, and maybe this is a result of the excessive brightness, the blacks are not really very black. Compared with the monitor I replaced (Samsung 226BW, which was a WSXGA+ type monitor), the blacks on these new monitors look gray. The old monitor was significantly less bright, and it still had range to go even darker if I wanted. Increasing contrast only makes the brights brighter, the darks stay the same. I don't understand why these things are so bright. If you prefer less-than-bright lighting conditions around your computer, I would recommend searching for a different option than these.Other than that they seem to work fine. I'd return them, but I doubt my ability to find any other relatively cheap TN monitors that are capable of going darker. I'll be sure to suck it up and go IPS next time I upgrade monitors.

EDIT: I have upgraded my review from 1 star to 4, because it is an excellent product and the Asus Customer Loyalty Team stepped up, and helped me replace the monitor under the Rapid Exchange program.I couldn't ask for more, but don't expect the same level of customer service from regular Asus Customer Service... It is not the same.--------------------------------------------------------------------Monitor came with a dead pixel... I contacted Asus, they said this monitor is not a "NON-ZBD" which means Asus does not guarantee it won't have a dead pixel upon arrival or use... This sucks because the dead pixel is very noticeable and, in my opinion, much larger in area than just one pixel. I sent a picture of the dark spot to customer service, and they said it was just one...and I completely disagree... The spot is at least a few pixels in a group, and it is in a curved shape. I am so disappointed because my new Asus G75VW laptop also has a similar dark spot. What is up with Asus monitors and dead pixels?

I bought this monitor for my first computer build after using a 15" laptop for several years, and it's great. I use it to watch a lot of movies, Blu Ray, DVD and streaming and playing video games. The screen is large which gives you plenty of space to work on. It's bright, clear, and crisp. Movies and video games look really great. It's pretty good at cutting out glare thanks to the matte screen. The monitor has a lot of great features such as the high dynamic contrast ratio and the low response time but really to see if this is the monitor for you, you have to actually see it. I researched many monitors at this price and went out and looked at them and chose this one. It really is a great monitor for the price and I am very happy with it.Design wise it is sleek looking, glossy black, and thin. The only problem with the design that I see is that the monitor does wobble when you press the buttons which are located on the underside at the bottom right. You can make it wobble if you shake your desk but it doesn't really wobble with just regular everyday use of your computer.There a few problems with the monitor though. I have noticed some slight light bleed around the top edge during some dark scenes in some movies. It's not really bad, just enough to be noticed. Also, there is ghosting, where some objects like the mouse pointer or window frames seem to leave a slight white trail during movement if contrast against some colors. The ghosting doesn't really bother me and it can't even be noticed unless you look for it. And I really am critical of these sorts of things. Ghosting doesn't seem to affect movies or video games and I have only noticed it in the situations described above. These will probably be different for every monitor so you'll have to check your own to see if it's enough to bother you. The monitors picture also seemed quite washed out out of the box but really is great after calibration and setting up a color management profile in Windows.

I bought two of these monitors and have been very happy with them. The price is outstanding and to make it even better, there is a rebate available as well.It has a port for HDMI, VGA, and DVI. I don't use all the ports but it's nice to know that I won't ever need a converter for any of the three.Picture quality is excellent, but the default out of the box configuration is downright awful. It looks *really* bad. However, once I adjusted it, I've been nothing but impressed by the quality of the monitor.The monitor has a built in speaker. However, if you're using it for anything other than listening to talk radio, you're going to hate it. The sound is incredibly faint and tinny. That said, there is an audio out port on the monitor and it supports audio over HDMI. I have an HDMI port plugged into my Macbook Pro and then speakers plugged into the monitor. This setup works great and actually saves me a wire. All I have to plug into my Macbook Pro is the HDMI cable and it gives me the monitor and sound through real speakers as well.I mounted both of my monitors onto a VESA monitor stand. Installation of that was very simple. There are four tiny little screw holes with rubber stoppers inside of them in case you decide to use the included stand.Overall, extremely happy with these two monitors.

Right out of the box the brightness setting of this monitor is set far too high. Not only was it irritating, but it caused bright white ghosting artifacts around any small dark image while it moved across the screen. Turning the brightness down to about 15 (of 100) solved this problem. At the brightness setting of 15 the screen is plenty bright and overall games and text look fabulous (no ghosting is present); texture details are far more pronounced than they were on my old 22" 1680x1050 monitor, which this replaced. My only gripe with this monitor is that within a few hours of use two or three adjacent pixel are now stuck on. Luckily it's only, and barely, noticeable when that area of screen is nearly black so I'll live with it. I bought this monitor at local brick'n'mortar store that honored Amazon's price (Thanks Amazon!), just to get one ASAP and also in case I needed to return/replace it right away.

This monitor was a great price for a great gaming tool. I use it to play f.p.s. games like halo, cod, etc. It literally feels like you are right in the game with no screen lag at all. It was a great improvement for me over my old 32 inch 720p samsung lcd. It has a little bit of a learning curve. I tried to hook it up directly to my 360 without first hooking it up to my computer. It helps if you do this and do a quick color configuration. Once you get used to the buttons you will find a setting you like, The one thing I would like to see that it does not have is an optical digital audio out, it has an analog 3.5mm out which is ok, but eh. For a monitor the speakers are ok. It isn't a TV and I think people forget that. Most people who listen to built in speakers wouldn't even notice the sound quality. Haha. Basically, it is awesome. I would recommend it. The gloss black is nice as long as you have lots of micro fiber clothes for after set up. Overall it is a great deal for a quality Asus product.

I've had this monitor for a few months... it is time to review.The colors are really bad on the monitor. Every month since I've had it, I finally get fed up and spend a half hour trying to calibrate the colors. Most shades of light gray are invisible to me... they just look white. I suspect that is fine for the average person who just browses the web and reads email... but when detail matters, this just isn't acceptable.The speakers are poor and placed on the back of the monitor. I don't know what they were thinking, but poor speakers + poor location = really crappy sound.Also, the menu is set up in a really annoying way. For example, the only way to change the volume is through the menu. That is a small thing, but still should be done better.Overall, I don't know how this thing is ever rated 5 stars. I could see novices rating it 4 stars, but I feel generous giving it 3.
