- - Постоянно отваливается 5 гиг! Все другие устройства без проблемм работают на 5 гиг! То есть дело не в роутере!
При включении компа очень долго подключается...

So I saw the price, and thought, that sounded a bit too low. But then I saw ASUS made it, and I trust them. I like their products. Card installed in a second(WinXP SP3, avoided the CD drivers, just used the ones off ASUS support)Card quit working after about 24 hours. Rebooted and it came back to life... then the next day it stopped working. Rebooted, Windows said it couldn't identify it. When I selected to the correct drivers, it said "this is not the correct device." Tried this with both the drivers from the ASUS site, and the CD driver. I pulled the card out, stuck it in another PCI slot. Presto! it started working again, for about a day. Then did the same thing.I then tried it in another computer, this one WinXP SP3 too. Did the exact same thing, both were very different computers, other than the OS. So it could be something buggy with WinXP SP3. I would have tried it under Linux, have a few installs of that, but decided I'd rather just return it before I couldn't.I could have gotten a dud. But I saw a another review that sounded like the same thing. I'm leaning towards their WinXP drivers. But I give up. I thought about trying a new one, but it's for my wife's computer and I'm tired of it.

I built a new Home Theater PC to use at home, and as is typical I had to update software over the internet. My town has provided free WiFi to all of its residents (how awesome is that?!?), but the signal strength is moderate where I am at. To say the least, the signal strength and receive strength are really poor on this particular card. Given that it has an external duck antenna one would think that it would have better reception than a laptop with no external antenna, but alas, it barely connects at all. Going to try using a high gain antenna on this card to improve connection strength, but I am not holding my breath!

Moving out on my own, I got the family's 3-4 year old emachines desktop computer for free. My roomate had already gotten AT&T internet with the wireless router for our new house since he has a laptop. I was already going to upgrade the desktop with Windows 7 and a PNY graphics card for the HDMI input to connect my computer with my TV, so I went ahead and installed the wireless adapter as well. This thing works great! My desktop computer is in the northeast-most corner of the house, the wireless router is in the south end of the house. There are 3 walls and about 35-40 ft. of distance between the two devices. I usually get 5 out of 5 signal strength bars, sometimes it drops down to 4 but nothing less. The adapter finds and keeps the internet connection everytime I turn the computer on or wake it from sleep.

This Card is Terrible, it lasted about 2 weeks until I would get ridiculously slow connections (slower than a kb/s) when we have 500 kb/s internet speeds. THIS CARD IS A PIECE OF GARBAGE DO NOT BUY, LOOK ELSEWHERE. I cannot even begin to express how maddening it is to have a card that doesn't work, I mean how hard is it? to hard for Asus obviously.

I am running Ubuntu 11.10, and it took some fiddling around to get a connection to a MiFi 2 feet away. The antenna placement seems very critical. The driver included with the Ubuntu distro ultimately did work, which is good. All available source code for the chipset is for the 2.6 kernel and will not compile with the 3.0.Installation and perhaps performance probably would be a lot smoother on a Windows box.

I have a windows 7 64bit machine, and I had a very hard time getting this card running. If you are having problems with getting this card to work don't pay any attention to people telling you to go get this driver or that driver. I tried all manner of different drivers from ASUS drivers to the chipset makers drivers with no luck.YOU MUST UNINSTALL YOUR ANTI-VIRUS software. Not disable, uninstall. Only after I did that and installed drivers would this card work. Then I re-installed my anti-virus and everything is working normally. It seems like a good enough card, just a hassle to get it up and running.

I had a friend that needed to connect a computer for her grandchildren to her wireless internet so she could keep track of their internet surfing. This second computer is located in the family room while the main computer (Windows 7) and wireless DSL modem is located in the master bedroom which is I'm guess around 40 feet away. The computer for the grandchildren is an older tower system with Windows XP Service Pack 2 on it. We could never install service pack 3 on this computer without locking up the operation system so we stopped at service pack 2. The ethernet card was showing some problems so we were going to have to replace it with some kind of card so I suggested a wireless PCI adapter because we would not have to run wires to the second computer and you could locate the computer anywhere in the house. After reading the reviews for these type of cards, I settled on this one. I have never installed a wireless PCI adapter card so this was my first attempt. After reading the instruction I installed the card, installed the drivers and it worked without a hitch! I was concerned about this card after reading some of the previous reviews, but I had no problems at all with this install. This friend lives in town and her computer, with card installed, picks up wireless signals from two of her neighbors in addition to her own. The price was right, the card is fast and the signal strength (five bars) is excellent.

I got this for my parents computer so I could move the router away from their desk. It works great so far. It was easy to install and Windows 7 recognized it immediately. I can't comment on range since the router is in the same room. I'm thinking about getting one for my computer since the price is so nice and Asus has always been a quality brand for me.

My setup is a new machine with Windows 2008 Server R2, and I was hoping to not have to run 50 feet of Ethernet cable to set it up with the Internet, so I bought this. A horrible decision.The drivers were annoying to install; the ones from the Asus website didn't work well for me, and even when I had gotten the right drivers in, I couldn't get a single wireless network to pop up in the network panel. Now, before people start diagnosing me with inexperience, I'd set up wireless on other Server 2008 R2 systems, so it's definitely unique to this particular instance.Furthermore, this card caused my computer to "stutter" every minute or so. By that I mean it would just freeze for a second or so. Now, if you do the math, 1/60 seconds = 2% downtime. Unacceptable! I didn't realize it at first that it was the card, even flashing my BIOS, but as soon as I removed the card (after I decided that this card was not going to connect me to the Internet), the stuttering stopped, so by the principle of ceteris parabus, it was the card that caused the issue.Now, everyone else seems to have had a reasonably good experience with this card, so it could be that I'm running 2008 Server R2, which, although it should have the same kernel as Windows 7, who knows, might have some minor differences that caused these problems. Still, I would read the reviews on Newegg, and you'll see that others have had problems with this card despite the relatively good reviews on Amazon.I don't write many reviews, but I feel compelled to warn people against this awful product, so please avoid. You'll save time, headaches, and money by buying an Ethernet cable, even if doesn't look quite as clean. If you must get a wireless adapter, do yourself a favor and don't buy this one.

I bought this so I could move my wireless router to a more central location in the house to improve coverage in the back area of my home. This was truly a "plug and play" operation. I plugged the card into an open slot on my desktop, turned the computer back on, it asked for the CD, found my wireless network and I was up and running in less then 30 minutes. No complicated set up porcedure everything worked just as advertised. I get a good signal on my desktop now that I've moved the router to another room so I am very pleased with this product. I have Windows XP on my desktop.

I tried several PCI cards that would not work in my Windows 7 machine before finding this one. It works OK as long as I use the driver that came on the included disk. The windows 7 driver on the ASUS website causes it to bluescreen. I don't know if this is a conflict somehow with my particular machine only, as I have not seen other complaints about this. Also, Windows update wants to install an updated driver for it, but this is the same driver that makes it crash. Just a warning, in case you have this problem. Card seems nice and stable with what appears to be the windows XP driver

This is just what I needed. The product is easy to install and works perfect with both operative systems.With Windows 7 64 bit, I just had to run the installation Cd and it worked immediately. With Ubuntu 11.04 64bit and x86 you just plug it in and it works right away, no installation required. The box says it will work with Mac but I don't have a Mac to try itI can't give my opinion in range and durability because I just installed it and the computer is relatively close to the router.So far so good...

Snap it into your motherboard, let Windows 7 find the right driver, throw your USB device in the garbage. Just got it, so I'll update this if anything goes wrong. The included software CD makes a great Frisbee or coaster. Highly recommend.

I bought this wifi pci adaptor for my 2001 sony vaio trying to extend its life, i follow the instruction and got it up and running in no time my router is downstairs and i get pretty good signal up stairs in my bed room.

No problem, about a month and a half into usage, still works fine. :) Still waiting to see if it will perform like it should in the future.For any gamers out there, this is a decent card for an extreme budget gamer, go for a more expensive (higher quality), card for serious gaming, but I am on a budget, as well as a gamer, and it works like a charm, I'll upgrade as needed. :)

First let me describe my operating conditions, A brand new computer sitting right next to a router running Windows 7 64bit. Now with that out of the way I would like to tell you the problems I have experienced with this card. Despite trying different drivers I had problems staying connected. The card will see my network connect to it with full bars and then go out about 5 mins later saying that the card is still working but that there are no networks available which of course is incorrect. After trying and trying different things I have not gotten it to stay connected longer then 30 mins. I consider this not usable on this operating system configuration. I have doubts that this was an isolated case and so cannot recommend this product. However it still gets three stars because I have confirmed the card to work fine on Windows XP it just refuses to work on Windows 7 64bit.---Pros---Works on older OS'sCheap---Cons---Does not work on Windows 7 64bitOnly wireless G not newer N

This works great in my Vista machine. The router is on the other side of the house up a floor, and this adapter has a good signal. Physical install was easy, of course. Driver set up was easy. I didn't was my time installing their utility. Windows controls it fine.

I used this wireless card to convert my old PC to wireless so that I could move it across the house, about 40 feet from my wireless modem. The reception was not great, but still functional. Then I moved the computer 10 feet closer and picked up an excellent signal. It has been working well since.

Was a little hesitant to buy since I have an XP and some people had problems with the installation on said software but I had no issues whatsoever. Quick and easy set up even for me who has never installed any form of PCI before. Speed doesn't blow me away but I'm far out from a router so it does better than the crappy USB wireless adapter I had.

This adapter worked fine for about a month.Initially gave it a 5-star rating. Then for no known reason, the signal got weak and the connection slowed until it was lost. After restart, the connection came back for a minute or two - eventually couldn't connect at all.Finally the adapter could no longer even find any of the available wireless signals. Troubleshooting included driver uninstall/reinstall, trying the adapter in a different PCI slot, and locating the adapter about two feet from the router.It's on its way back to Amazon.

"I've had nothing but issues with this card in my 64-bit Win7 system. I have an Asus Essentio CM5671-05. Thought getting an ASUS PCI card for my wireless would be the best idea. This product's drivers are terrible. Rarely can it successfully connect to my Linksys router, and when it does, speeds are terrible. I am having to look into a better wireless card for my machine now. Have installed drivers manually, let Windows find them, and still results are terrible. Biggest letdown this year."The above was my initial response. After finding the proper drivers, this card has performed much better. Still not the greatest wireless card I've had experience with (the wireless signal on my ASUS 1000HE tends to be stronger), but this card is working just fine.

This adapter was a huge disappointment for me, in that it performed very poorly at picking up wifi from a router only about 30 feet away. The signal would wildly fluctuate, and periodically drop out and reconnect. I tried different drivers and different channels, but couldn't make it reliable. I returned it to Amazon and purchased a different adapter of a different brand and all was well. Perhaps I got a dud, or perhaps these are just poor quality.

Installation was pretty easy for this card, but the software that comes with it is kind of on-again, off-again. I disabled the SW and let Windows take over, and it was better. I have fairly demanding conditions under which I use this card, and it performs adequately, but the integrated wireless card in my laptop performs better. It's OK for the money but if I had it to do over I'd get something with an external antenna.

Installation was easy. We have three computers on a wireless network, and one wired to the router. I haven't had any problems with getting or staying connected since installing it, and the speeds are good! When we installed it initially, the computer was set up a floor below our router, and two rooms apart. We live in an old house with a lot of metal in the walls, which causes problems when we listen to the radio and use our cell phones, but we didn't have a single problem getting connected with this. It is now 5' from the router, so no problems at all!

I bought 2 of these adaptors. One for myself and one for my mother-n-law. Both have worked great without a glitch and I have had these for a couple months now. I have mine in a small factor pc I have connected to my TV. All I do is watch Hulu as my TV viewing now and there is no drag or delay time. My mother-n-law uses it in her bedroom with a PC I built for her to use for surfing and work. the wireless router is a couple rooms down the hall and it is as if the computer is hard wired through the LAN. I recommend these adaptors to anyone for any use. I have 2 more PCs I may need to install wireless cards for so I will be back to purchase more.

It was great, arrived brand new, just didn't work on my Hackintosh with OSX 10.6.3 Snow Leopard. After doing a bunch of research (this site told me it would work native with no drivers, but that's 10.5 Leopard) I found ZERO drivers/kexts for the hardware for Snow Leopard. Stay away if you are building a Snow Leopard Hackintosh. If it is a PC or for 10.5 Leopard, it should be greaT!

Great value, and works well with Linux (Ubuntu). We booted up, and in just a few minutes, Linux had identified the card and got it working. Can't argue with the price, either! Don't bother with the included CD.

I have to receive a weak signal from my landlord. I have a rosewill USB that works fine but I wanted an internal. It cant find the signal so I still have to use the rosewill. considering that desktops cant move this seems like a fatal flaw to me.

I had originally purchased the MSI PC60G Wireless 11g Turbo G PCI Card. It worked for about a month and then started randomly disconnecting and effectively not working anymore. After hours of trying to fix it, I just decided to try another PCI card. The Asus PCI-G31 was one of the cheapest on Amazon. I was a little hesitant to purchase since there were only a few reviews posted. With Amazon's excellent return policy, I decided to take a chance on this cheap card. All I have to say is it does the job, with little to no effort. I simply popped it into the pci slot and Windows automatically found the drivers for it. I didn't even bother with the install cd. Overall a very seemless product that does exactly what it's supposed to. Use Windows wifi management and you should have no problems.EDIT: Could not play online games with this card and would get intermittent lag spikes. Replaced this with a WRT54GL and set it up as a wireless bridge and my online gaming is fine now. Just wanted to point this out to people who might play games or stream HD movies/tv.

Finally, a wireless card that is literally plug-and-play in Linux (Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit Desktop Edition). I'm using WPA2 for security with no problems at all.Note: I have not tried it in Windows so I can't speak to that.
