good monitor, but has a lot of problems,
1st if you want the full 144hz you have to sacrifice a lot of colour by dropping down to 8bit with 4:2:2 croma sub sample.
if you lower your hz down to 120 you get full 8bit with Full 4:4:4/RGB croma sub sample.
if you lower it even more to 98hz you can use 10bit with 4:4:4/RGB croma sub sample.
so if you want to use HDR at full affect you can only play at 98hz.

Asus PG27UQ is the best monitor I have ever had for gaming on pc. The image quality cannot be better at 4k and HDR, Although there are not a lot of compatible games, it is mindblowing to play a game like resident evil 7 on HDR 4k.
Why 4 stars only then?
The monitor has one issue that really annoys me when it comes to regular use like browsing the web or watching videos without headphones. It is the LOUD fan that it has working ALL THE TIME. It is actually louder than my already loud PC. I understand that the monitor has tons of features and needs of refrigeration, but it would be nice that the fan could be regulated.
I like the function of FPS counter that comes built in the monitor, you don't neet any software and it will tell you how many FPS is the screen showing which is awesome.
You need some tweaking for the best settings, I recommend you searching it on youtube. The setting that makes the biggest difference is Wide color gammut, that comes turned off.
It has some backlight bleed because it is an IPS display. However, it is nothing compared to regular IPS monitors, almost not noticeable.

The monitor advertises as 144hz, but it is only 120hz. If you want 144hz you can overclock it through the built in controls. I do not recommend overclocking it as you will lose some color reproduction that can be noticed on texts.

Mal abgesehen vom Preis ist der Bildschirm echt genial.
Der Lüfter ist bei weitem nicht so laut wie ihn manche beschreiben, ich habe z.b. bequite Lüfter in mein PC und die sind um einiges lauter als der Monitor Lüfter. Und diese sind die schon leise.

Ebenso kann der Monitor 4k, kann echtes HDR darstellen also 444 HDR und nicht nur 424sHDR ausserdem besitzt er Gsync und kann bis zu 144Hz erreichen. Problem bei all dem, selbst die neuste Display Port Schnittstelle ist nicht in der Lage 4k,HDR , mehr als 60Hz und Gsync gleichzeitig darzustellen, das liegt nicht am Monitor sondern an der Schnittstelle, HDMI braucht man hier wohl kaum zu erwähnen, das schneidet noch schlechter ab.
Es gibt aber gute Kompromisse, so kann man Gsync,2k und bis zu 120HZ erreichen. HDR hat ohnehin kaum ein Spiel somit fällt das meistens weg, ist aber tatsächlich empfehlenswert es zu aktivieren sofern vorhanden. Am Besten in Kombination mit hoher Auflösung und leider ohne Gsync und mit "nur" maximal 60Hz, nichts desto trotz ergibt diese Kombination ein geniales Bild.

Alles in allem sei gesagt, der Monitor kann alles was auf der Verpackung beschrieben und beworben wird, nur halt nicht gleichzeitig. Es ist mehr ein Tüftler Monitor wo man bei jeden Spiel erneut die optimalen Einstellungen sucht und einstellt, und der Monitor hat viele Einstellungen, mehr als so manches Spiel, was wiederum zu einem eigenen Spiel werden kann.

Wer das Geld übrig hat und ohnehin sehr viel Zeit vor einem Bildschirm verbringt wird mit dem Monitor eher nichts falsch machen, wer das geld nicht hat oder eher weniger zeit vor einem Bildschirm verbringt sollte die Finger von dem Gerät lassen da der Preis schon sehr heftig ist.

Hinzu kommt, um den Monitor voll ausschöpfen zu können bedarf es einem sehr starken PC. Höhe Auflösungen, Bildraten und HDR wollen erstmal erreicht werden, wer weniger als eine vergleichbare Nvidia GTX 1080Ti und einen vergleichbaren I7 Prozessor mit weniger als 4 Kernen und 4 Threads bei einer Taktung von wenigstens 4GHz sollte einen anderen Bildschirm in Betracht ziehen.

non capisco come fanno a dire che questo è il monitor definitivo. io gioco con una 2080ti e devo dire che per il gaming non gli si può dire nulla; 4k 144hz sono stupendi e l'hdr sui giochi è fantastico perchè generalmente i titoli che lo supportano, tipo farcry 5, hanno scene molto luminose e quindi i limiti del pannello ips non si fanno sentire.
però ci sono due problemi pesanti come dei macigni. prima di tutto la ventola; sta sempre fissa a 10milioni di rmp e fa un casino insopportabile, durante il gioco uno se ne infischia perchè tra casse o cuffie non da fastidio, ma se sto studiando o facendo qualsiasi altra azione che non richieda un supporto audio comincio a dare di matto (sospetto di aver preso un pezzo leggermente difettoso, questa cosa è troppo strana e scalda ugualmente tanto, ho chiesto ad asus assistenza per non scomodare il servizio clienti amazon che stresso in continuazione ma nemmeno loro hanno saputo dirmi nulla perchè i pezzi venduti sono pochissimi e non hanno nulla in archivio. volevano mandarmi un monitor sostitutivo ma per ora evito ed aspetto qualche informazione in più)
il secondo intoppo è l'hdr. in generale windows non lo gestisce ancora bene per una serie di motivi che non sto ad elencare ma soprattutto il problema si nota nei video; 384 zone di illuminazione non sono sufficenti, si vedono degli aloni biancastri (problema di clouding) intorno agli oggetti molto luminosi che sono contornati da sene scure. E' una cosa fastidiosissima, stavo guardando Daredevil su netflix, dove ci sono praticamente solo scene con scarsa illuminzaione, e ogni volta vedendo questo effetto appannato intorno alle luci o alle candele cominciavo a bestemmiare. Queste zone di local dimming dovrebbero essere minimo 10 volte più piccole, 3800 non 384.
In Conclusione, per me che praticamente ci gioco e basta va benissimo, ho un portatile per i lavori office e una bella tv hdr dove guardare film e serie tv quindi me lo faccio andare bene; ma è veramente molto lontano dell'essere il monitor definitivo; ci vuole una ventola grande il triplo e sistema di local dimming migliorato (il top sarebbe un pannello oled.)

Most advanced monitor with a great picture BUT monitor has 2 fans. And one of them is always ON and even stays ON after turning monitor off for about 10-15 minutes. Fan is small and rotating on full speed all the time. After 10 minutes of using this monitor I had a headache. Why don't make monitor few centimeters thicker and place 120mm quite fan in it instead of 20mm noisy fan.

Purchased for gaming, but started watching movies and series. The colors are briliant and viewing angles are wide too.

Very nice 144hz display on the cheap.

It has better viewing angles than I expected for a TN panel (though it is still a TN panel) and 144hz + 1ms is pretty darned nice. Rotate to portrait mode is a pleasant bonus (and, surprisingly, viewing angles aren't a problem there either.) Just be aware you'll have to tilt the display a bit before rotating so it doesn't clip the base of the unit. Also note you'll need either to use a dual-link DVI cable (included) or a DisplayPort cable (not included) to get 144hz. And don't forget to actually set the monitor to 144hz in your operating system.

The monitor works fine with decent picture quality, the 144hz also looks great. My only gripe is the quality of the displayport on this monitor. Many people have experienced issues with their displayport failing but I still made the decision to purchase this hoping that I'd be lucky. After about 2 weeks of using this as my desktop display for my pc (normally is displaying through hdmi to my tv), my pc stopped outputting any display signals to both the monitor and my tv. I started some troubleshooting thinking that there was an issue with my newly installed graphics card, but after replacing it with my old one, testing that only to still not work, and then reinstall the one and try to boot it up again did I come to the conclusion that it was displayport related since I was able to get an image with only the hdmi plugged in. I then thought the 10ft amazon basics displayport cable that I was using could be the cause so I ordered a new one and tested it, still no luck. Finally after some digging on the internet I read that people would just unplug the monitor from its power source, WHICH WORKED!!

All in all i'm just disappointed by the stress this monitor caused for such a silly issue. I cancelled my initial return request for this order after figuring out the fix. This is a common issue with this monitor's displayport connection so if purchasing BEWARE!!

I will be using this monitor for a mixture of gaming and some photo / video editing. Initially the monitor has a slightly warm colour cast for my taste, and is a little too bold in terms of brightness and contrast, but with only 15 minutes or so adjusting the user settings I was able to get it set so that white looks white, and the colours don't look over saturated or washed out on highlights. It now looks superb for all applications and is well worth spending a bit of time on, getting the settings right to individual taste. just out of the box, the factory defaults weren't to my personal taste, but I expected that to be the case as with almost any given monitor. Gaming and Video look great, with no traces and great clarity. and, as aforementioned, with a bit of personal preference tweaking, photo's look natural and vibrant without being overly colour saturated. Great gaming monitor, but also perfectly suitable for other applications too.

So I got this as an upgrade from an old 1600x900 monitor and holy **** this is so much better. The monitor is clear, big, and has amazing manoeuvrability. Only thing that's wrong with this monitor is the built in speakers, which a pretty awful. But if your looking at this monitor you're probably going to be using headphone most of the time for gaming and you can always buy some external speakers for it.

First 144hz monitor. Definitely exceeded my expectations. A few months after getting it I'm still surprised at how smooth everything runs. A lot of people say this monitor is extremely glossy and collects fingerprints easily, but I haven't noticed that at all; it does, however, get dusty quite a bit, but if you dust every week, You won't even notice it.

Yo compre este monitor para usarlo por el momento en la consola (PS4), aunque planeó en un mediano o largo plazo armarme una PC, y aunque el modelo del monitor es del 2013 aun sigue siendo vigente y produciéndose en 2017, debo decir que para tener un panel TN no le tiene nada pedir a un panel IPS, mi argumento se basa que en la mayoría de los paneles TN cuando se ven desde arriba o bien respecto de los lados la imagen tiende a oscurecerse y este panel presenta eso pero de forma minima lo cual le da un alto valor en mi opinión, en pocas palabras los ángulos de visión en que se pueda observar no le perjudican del todo como a otros monitores con paneles TN. En cuanto lo que ofrece, posee un puerto HDMI que otorga un refresh rate de hasta 60 hz ideal para una consola, un puerto DVI-D que da unos 120 Hz, un puerto Displayport que concede refresh rate de hasta 144 hz y finalmente un puerto 3.5 mm para audífonos o algún otro dispositivo de audio. En cuanto al contenido, está el monitor ensamblado al soporte (el monitor se puede mover hacia arriba y hacia abajo aproximadamente unos 15 grados), la base que permite moverlo sobre su posición unos 45 grados, un cable de corriente, un cable DVI-D, un cable de audio 3.5mm y una guía rápida de ensamble y uso del monitor.

Ahora bien, detallare mi experiencia de uso en una consola (PS4) e iniciare con el brillo, el cual es sumamente fuerte, los presets que trae (GAME, Standard, Theather, Scenary, Night View y sRGB) no son los mejores asi que en mi opinión es mejor calibrarlos por cuenta de uno mismo, en cuanto al sonido el monitor tiene unas bocinas de 2w que va de 0 a 100 el volumen, y de verdad no esta nada mal para un monitor, en espacios reducidos (un estudio, recamara o en un departamento sonara bastante bien).

En cuanto a los acabados, es plástico de buena calidad color negro en acabado brilloso tanto la base del monitor como los bordes y parte trasera del monitor y el soporte tiene acabados de un plástico mucho más duro color negro con vivos en rojo en mate ambos.

Otra característica del monitor es que tiene a compatibilidad con 3D Vision nVIDIA.

Finalmente el envió llego al día siguiente, ya que soy suscriptor PRIME, a través de Amazon MX Logistics, el monitor venia sin protección extra mas que la que trae de fabrica que considero es mas que suficiente para su traslado.

This is exactly as amazing as all the pro reviews suggest. In addition to excellent build quality and detail. It also looks insane design wise. Swift delivery. Treated myself to a working from home upgrade... nobody's falling for it haha.

Coming from a 1920x1080 144Hz TN panel this is leagues ahead. You'll get the most out of it from an nVidia GPU but it's still a brilliant monitor with an AMD GPU. The "halo" effect when using HDR mode on the desktop is barely noticeable and showed up more on reviews.

EDIT: третий монитор, снова собой Прочную но картина НЕ zerreist в центре (нет, я говорю про Этого, я про вывод изображения на панели, softwar стороны), снова на том же месте. Через постоянное включение и выключение монитора проблему можно решить до его возникновения повторно. Просто займите место перед картинке, Сантиметров толкает себя в середине в середине вместе, так что часть изображения отсутствует. Как уже упоминалось, он является общим для монитора, был он уже здесь достаточно часто. С моим 27-дюймовый FullHD монитор есть проблемы Standart никогда. Gsync Высокой дерзостью 10, почти 200€ доплата за одну ДО сегодняшнего дня не работая Tech Nick ballbuster, оставляю проблемы для этого я стою вниз от моей Первоначальной 3 звездочный Отзыв.

EDIT 2: между Тем Nvidia включить без особых объяснений это позволяет в драйвере Vsync и Gsync одновременно. Pure путаницы среди геймеров, постранично дискуссии в PCGH/Computer Base форуме. Результат после того, как другой участник нашего форума от NVIDIA получил ответ на запрос в службу поддержки: Там Vsync теперь можно активировать дополнительно, так как с последним обновлением Gsync просто от количество КАДРОВ в секунду равна Гц монитор просто полностью выключается и при Frame Drops снова включится (результат Grüze и ekligstes является Разрывание...), а ТЕПЕРЬ ГЛАВНОЕ: причиной Nvidia называет - GSYNC ПЕРЕЖИВАЙТЕ ДА ЕЩЕ ДЛЯ ввода задержки! Очень красиво, только рекламу делают что Gsync входная задержка будет свободное Vsync и это полностью сменит и теперь упоминается даже в ту же службу поддержки Nvidia, кроме того, что надо Отключить для лучшего результата теперь... без слов Nvidia. В ниже описанной проблемы, это позволяет уже догадываться: между Тем Gsync Пользователя ВКЛ ОТКЛ ВКЛ ВКЛ ОТКЛ ВКЛ означает, что должны быть только вечно ли мастерить это лучший способ Gsync, Vsync, вертикальную синхронизацию В ИГРЕ, или Gsync, VSYNC, вертикальную синхронизацию В ИГРЕ, или Gsync, VSYNC, вертикальную синхронизацию В ИГРЕ.

Для перемещения Изображения на панели монитора: Тем временем я выяснил что панель производитель данного монитора также, среди прочего, Benq, Acer и другие Поставки, независимо от того, является ли его бесплатно или Gsync Monitro вы, все мониторы на рынке, которые эту панель (от какой другой производитель, Asus не сам сделал) установлены, потенциально имеют возможность рано или поздно сдвиг Изображения таким образом, чтобы получить изображение только изображается вставленных друг в друга, также используемая видеокарта при этом может Играть роль но откуда известно ли Будущая видеокарта через пару лет пострадает? О загадочных драйверов, которые внезапно испортившуюся производительность старых видеокарт Nvidia ВНЕЗАПНО примерно на 20% нам не надо больше говорить, даже поехать отдыхать, как известно Linus Tech Tips на Youtube он движется обсудить эту тему в формате видео. Я сам был в DayZ (ВКЛ. всех моих товарищей по команде), как из ниоткуда 15 - 20 FPS меньше. В других Играх геймеры сообщают то же самое. Аргумент AMD не делаю хорошего если драйвер поставлен так раз туда, Nvidia доверяю я после всех этих лжи сделать это нарочно.

Gsync:
ок. 170€ за дополнительную плату и дерьмо не работает по-прежнему безупречно, в Minecraft мне пришлось дополнительно включить в драйвере Vsync и тройной буферизации как я переживала еще с Gsync 120Hz/120FPS действительно ekliges zuckeln и стрий, как правило, это не нужно так как Gsync должен ЗАМЕНИТЬ собственно Vsync...

В Overwatch все работает супер пока вы не Порождает новое, еще в Killcam FPS вдруг на горки под 30 и только переключение отображения оконный режим на полноэкранный решает проблему... до тех пор, пока явление возникает снова и тогда нужно менять весь проводиться снова вокруг нее, так что с полноэкранного на оконный режим. Что ваши товарищи по команде rumgestehe в сетевой шутер не ваше понимание АФК (пока после переключения монитора в графическом меню переключился) не надо упоминать собрать я, не говоря уже о том что вы повторяете потому что наверняка нет никакого желания каждый раз.
