Be careful about Intel video drivers. Intel has definitely not matured compared to AMD in bringing stable drivers to the market.If you update the video drivers to the latest release from Intel, your system will crash (BSOD) if using HDMI - guaranteed!!! Use the drivers from ASUS website and you will be fine.If building an HTPC, I would definitely consider the new offerings from AMD - particularly there new F1 socket CPUs and motherboards. If I had known about the AMD products, I would definitely have bought components based on the F1 socket. The AMD products seem the perfect solution for an HTPC or gaming system.

The board goes together easy as pie and as long as you aren't planning to use the IDE hard drive port, you shouldn't have any issues with space. The only reason I knocked from 5 stars to 4 stars is that I hooked this board up to a 21" CRT to configure the system since I was going to run it as a headless HTPC and the fancy new graphical BIOS screen would not display properly on the monitor at all. Lots of graphical glitches and the screen would only show a small portion of the BIOS screen. Once I hooked it up to a 22" widescreen LCD monitor, everything looked great. So not a major issue in the long run by annoying just the same.

A lot of internet and forum sources say that this MB is not overclockable; but I use this along with a core i7-2600K and I can overclock to 3.6ghz right now (Turbo Boost is still on), with the RAM at 1400mhz. This board is perfect for someone who doesn't want to overclock too much, like me. Plus, I like the fact that we can try out the internal graphics.

I used this motherboard for my new build and as usual, Asus is a top performer. I am not a gamer but still demand performance and this board is a great fit for me. I wanted the next generation in USB and SATA connections for the future so that was part of my decision.So far, I have not had any dissapointments.

this is my 2nd board.it replaced my original purchase. both the same problem. if i load any graphic driver the hard drive quits. comp freezes. nothing i do works! dont buy it.

This board is great, especially if you get an unlocked i5 or i7 Socket 1155 processor. The best thing for me is that it has audio passthrough on the integrated HDMI output. This was no where on the internet that I have found, nor was it in the manual. I was confused but its working great through my HDTV.
