Great mother board, easy to setup. Was used to replace my gigabyte board that was having power issues. Will remember to trust them again in the future for my computer hardware needs.

As the heart of an AMD sempron system I think it was a good choice. Just 2 things though need to be done. First make sure that your sata dvd drive is last on your drive assignments. if you add anothre hard drive later on then move the dvd to sata3 and put the new drive on sata2. Second is to update your bios after installing the OS. Asus will do this for you from their web site, or using the EZ flash utility.

This motherboard really is quiet impressive considering how much it cost, it has a turn of features and can even support the new fx am3+ cpu's but the only con to that is that u need to use a am3 cpu to update the bios before you can put and am3+ cpu in it. That's not a problem for me though because i am right now using and amd phenom dual core which i unlocked to quad core using a feature that's found in this motherboard's bios. another thing i like about this mother is that i has a very fast front bus so it maintains its speed even when i have Google chrome and Firefox running each loading 1 video per tab and both browser have 7 tabs open, that 14 videos loading at the same time. so i am giving this mobo 5 stars because if u have a cpu that can take abuse this mother lets u utilize your cpu to the fullest.

Not sure what's up with this board, 1st few weeks OK with little use. Now having problems starting up. Get no display but system seems to be booting. Tried another Monitor. Have to clear CMOS and start over. Very random. Has latest BIOS. No add in cards. Standard BIOS setup. PSU Voltages OK. Win 7 memory test reports no problems. Not sure what to try now. I guess E-Mail ASUS ( if that's the problem ) but we all know what good that will do.

Everything seems to work, and that deserves a 5 star rating right there in my book. Currently running with an Athlon II X2 250 in a Ubuntu build.

this motherboard is great it works fine with the built in video card and also with the PCI-E video card i bought for gaming.I got my Package way before the due date and it came exactly as i had ordered. It is equipped with an AM3+ socket for your processor, which means that it is ready for new technologies to come. the price was reasonable and if i have to buy another motherboard i would buy the same one.

This mother board is good board for building a computer from scratch into a high performance gaming computeri have bought all my new parts from amazon, this website is best.My specs areasus .M5A78L-M-LX-ASUS motherboard ddr3fx4100 3.6 ghz cpu 59.006770 radeon xfx gpu 109.0500watt psu 50.00blu-ray drive 62.99midtower gaming case 36.991tb hard drive 5400/ 69.9932inch monitorwireless keyboard and mousewindows vista ultimate 64 bitwith this motherboard offers core unlocker, and coupled with windows vista ultimate and fx- 4100 3.6ghz its the best a 5.9 ratingand it plays high on battlefield 3 and every other game ultra high or high i havent yet fully max out the capabilites yet but for a computer you can build 915.00 dollars from scratch and have a top gaming pc its cheaper to build one then it is buy one called a gaming pc there alot more expensive these are stats from the build.im using a stock fan , im still watching to see how hot it gets in the case, but the gaming case does filter out the heat well and motherboard handles it self as a military standard builing class.

This is my first mobo and I am very pleased with the build I used it for.Very fast and responsive. Still being updated with the latest bios for the latest FX series.I have yet to install a graphic card on it just yet but will in time.The onboard gpu is pretty decent. It could be better with updates but w/e.I would recommend this board to anyone who is looking for a reliable cheap resposive fast mobo.

I've always trusted asus and this motherboard ir really good. Installation was easy. I bought this mobo.The only bad thing about this one is that it does not have one single IDE port. So if you want this really good mobo you should have sata drives. (I had to change my DVDRW Drive to a newer one)

Does not work with 8xxx series of AMD FX (Bulldozer) processors, if you want a summary of whats below.I purchased this motherboard expecting to get a very cheap product that would run my newly purchased FX-8120 processor. I realize that I probably should have looked a bit more into this mobo before doing so, because when I got it, the CPU wasn't exactly compatible. It would boot up, and Windows would even start, but on the boot screen it stated that the motherboard and CPU weren't compatible. So I did some research. If you go to the manufacturers site, you'll see that this is listed as being able to support up to 95 watt CPUs. The 8xxx series of FX are both 125 watt. Technically, yes, this will run AM3+ CPUs, but be sure to check and see if what you have is compatible (the 4xxx and 6xxx series).This IS mainly my fault for not researching the mobo more, but I am still deducting a star for Amazon not stating that it only supports up to 95 watts.

I was looking for a motherboard that could run a decent CPU power and 8G of RAM. Great for running a Linux or FreeBSD server (non graphical). I almost make the mistake in buying a AMD Phenom II 125w 955 CPU for this motherboard (as recommended by Amazon), however, checking on the ASUS website, the board is only rated for 80W CPUs and

Always check the manufacturer's website for reliable specs. I built a computer using this board and it works perfectly.Reviewer who called this mobo "junk" and gave it a "1" was attempting to use a CPU this board isn't rated for- board rated for up to 95W cpu. No mobo will run with wrong RAM, CPU, inadequate power supply, etc. Double check all components, OS, peripherals, BIOS version and settings, etc. for compatibility.Make sure you know what you're doing before attempting to build your own computer or you can end up wasting a lot of money.

The specs on this motherboard are great, but it only supports 95W cpus. Somehow, Amazon recommended this product together with a nice 125W CPU, and I bought it at a great price during Black Friday. The 1055T CPU deal i got was great, but I will have to return the board and find another. I love ASUS boards with all their features. This one does not have Express Gate which is awesome. I am starting to look at MSI and ASRock boards as well even though I tend to be a loyal customer. I don't particularly want to pay a lot for a new motherboard so I might just slip the cpu into my current motherboard until I find another deal on a motherboard.Amazon really needs to watch their recommendations!!!

i like this motherboard so far , but i havent even plugged it in, i just opened it up and looked at it, so i dont know how it works (yet) im going to be using a amd sempron 140 processor with it, i hope i will be able to unlock the 2nd core. the graphics sound ''good'' it comes with 2 sata cables, a i/o sheild thing , manual, and a bios recovery ( i think it is). i like the color and it goes perfect with my black interior case. i think i will be using just 1gb of ram, this will just be a computer for files n stuff. most likley a 100 gb harddrive. But from what it looks like, it looks like it is good, ill update as soon as my 'small computer' is done :)

I have built several computers. Years ago when I first shopped for a motherboard I noticed that ASUS boards were always rated higher than a lot of others. They build a good product. This little board was for a pretty basic computer for my daughter's family. It performs well with no hiccups. I use an older but similar ASUS board in my gamer with a quad processor and high performance memory and of course a high end graphics board with great success. I don't think you can go wrong with Amazon and ASUS.

MOBO is what you expect from ASUS. Only note.. does not support the 140W CPU's even though the packages said compatible.
