I bought 4 of these as part of a PC build for my office. I have used ASRock boards before and really liked them so I got more and I'm glad I got these. For the price, I couldn't pass them up. I compared similar boards from Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, and Biostar, but settled on this as they offered the most features for the money. I wanted a micro ATX with at least 2 SATA 6 gb/s ports, USB 3.0 with front headers, HDMI, VGA, and DVI out, 8 channel digital audio, LGA 1155 socket, and support for 1600 MHz RAM, and PCI-e 3.0. No other board offered all of those for under $80 except these. The ASRock H77M is based on Intel's H77 chipset, which offers native support for PCI-e 3.0 x16, 1066, 1333, and 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM, the 5 GT/s bus speed, and has the LG 1155 socket for Intel Core and Pentium Sandy and Ivy bridge CPU's, which I really like. It's loaded with features found on boards costing $100+. You get 2 USB 3.0 o the rear and headers for front outputs, six USB 2.0 ports out back and 2 headers for front USB 2.0, two SATA III and four SATA II ports, 8 channel digital audio with S/PDIF output, full-size HDMI, VGA (d-sub) and single-link DVI outputs, RJ45 gigabit LAN, PS-2 combo port for keyboard and mouse, one PCI-e 2.0 x16 (runs at 4x on CrossFire) that offers support for 2-way CrossFireX, and one PCI legacy port. It has all solid caps, and the board is really good looking. It only has two, 240-pin DIMM slots for a total of 16 GB DDR3 dual-channel RAM. It's got a lot of fan headers as well if you need to run more fans for cooling. The ASRock EFI BIOS is pretty nice, one of the better ones I've seen. It has tons of features for overclocking and other tweaking, hardware monitoring, customizable fan profiles, etc. You could do pretty much whatever you wanted to with this motherboard!I built my PC with a Intel Core i5-3470 and i3-3220, 8 GB of DDR3 (Corsair Vengeance 1600 and Kingston HyperX Blu 1333 MHz) RAM, WD Scorpio Blue 500 GB SATA III HD, Cooler Master Elite Power 400 W PSU, and a Lite-on DVD RW drive in the Rosewill FBM-01 micro ATX tower. Love it. Runs fast, and the board offered me all I would ever need. Build an awesome over clocked gaming rig or a mild home office PC with this board if you want. Even though the RAM maxes at 16 GB, that's all you'll need unless you're a hardcore gamer or run video editing or audio editing software, then you might as well spend an extra $80 and get a nicer board. ASRock offers a 3-year warranty to boot.Pros:ASRock qualitySeems to be sturdily builtIntel H77 chipset7.1 channel digital audioUSB 3.0 rear and front headersHDMI, VGA, and DVI outputs for dual monitors out of the boxSupports dual channel 1600 MHz RAM stockTwo SATA III ports2 PCI express slots for CrossFireX, including one PCI-3.0 x16Nice EFI BIOSLots of fan headers3-year warrantyAll solid capsCons:Only 2 RAM slots for 16 GB maxOverall probably one of the best boards I've worked with for under $80. It has everything you'll ever need for gaming or home/office use. It's also very scalable...run an Intel Pentium or Sandy Bridge-E CPU, 1066 DDR2 or 1600 MHZ DDR3 RAM, no graphics or dual 7850's in CrossFireX. The sky's the limit.

I purchased this to replace a EVGA Z77 Stinger and I definitely like the ASROCK Z77E board better (it's what I wanted in the first place, but the local retailer was out of stock, which is why I tried the EVGA board).Compared to the EGVA board, this has mSATA (the EVGA has mPCIe if you want to add on a wifi module) and includes the mPCIe wifi module. I'm knocking off one star because there isn't an included tiny screw to hold the mSATA card in place (which the EVGA board came with and I was able to scavange for this board). Without that screw, the Intel SSD mSATA card wouldn't work, and it's a tiny screw, not something that I have any extras of.With the mSATA, which reports devices as SATA III but only gives you SATA II speeds, you get 2 SATA III ports and 3 SATA II ports, which is 1 more SATA drives than most mini-ITX motherboards offer. The mSATA connector is on the underside of the motherboard which meant that the CPU cooler I bought, a Zalman CNPS8900 (low profile) had to have its bottom mounting bracket modified with a Dremel cutoff wheel, but I only had to cut off two of the legs for the AMD CPU mount (which obviously I don't need) and to shave off a millimeter or two from one of the Intel CPU mounts (no structual effect). The motherboard overclocks easily, I'm currently running a stable 4.6Ghz using that Zalman cooler inside of the tiny Antec ISK 310-150 case (which required a slight modification with that same cutoff wheel to clear the Zalman) that I bought to go along with it.I'm running Linux (CentOS 6.3) on this board, so I can't speak to its Windows drivers. For Linux, however, it looks like the wifi module isn't recognized as udev fails to assign it an eth# and there isn't anything available from ASROCK for Linux. However, the 1GigE works like a champ, and the display port and DVI to VGA work great too. I don't need the wifi, and realize that Linux drivers were going to be an issue, so no stars deducted for that. All in all, I'm very happy with this motherboard and don't hesitate to recommend it.

I had an HTPC I'd built about 10 years ago which needed every component replaced except for the CoolerMaster micro-ATX case. I ordered from Amazon the following new components for the replacement:ASRock DDR3 1333 Intel LGA 1155 Micro-ATX Motherboard H77MIntel Core i3-3225 Dual-Core Processor 3.3GHz 3MB Cache LGA 1155 BX80637i33225Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) 240-Pin DDR3 Memory Kit SDRAM CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9Toshiba Desktop 2.0TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s NCQ 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Drive PH3200U-1I72Samsung 24x SATA DVDΒ±RW Internal Optical Drive Black SH-224BB/RSBSAVerMedia A188 HD Duet Dual ATSC PCI-E TV TunerAntec EarthWatts EA-380D Green 380 Watt 80 PLUS BRONZE Power SupplyEverything arrived from Amazon on time and I assembled the parts without any problems. The few issues I had were resolved by changing the following BIOS settings:1. In the North Bridge configuration, I set "PCI-E1 Link Speed" to Gen1 so the AVerMedia PCI-E card would work in the PCI-E 3.0 slot.2. In the South Bridge configuration, I disabled the "0nboard HDMI HD Audio" so the optical digital audio connector would be enabled.3. I disabled the "Intel Smart Connect" so there would not be an unknown PCI device in the Device Manager.4. I disable "Intel Rapid Start" as it was unnecessary for me.The upgraded HTPC is very fast, quiet and stable. I used Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit for the OS. The Windows Task Manager shows a CPU usage of less than 5% percent when recording or playing an HDTV program. I can't detect any lag when watching HDTV with the Windows Media Center.Remember to order an optical cable if you plan on connecting the optical audio output to your receiver.

I bought this board for an Intel Core i3-3225 because it was simply cheap, looks durable and had all the connection options that I needed. After installing it and getting used to the new BIOS User Interface I was more than happy. It automatically allows you to use a mouse on the BIOS and has more than enough settings to comfortably overclock your processor(on the core i3-3225 you can't).The audio/7.1 surround is great and you can easily distinct your left and right in your music.(Bass is bold and perfect to watch movies)The on-board video options are great. It gives you option to connect via HDMI, VGA (old standard) and DVI. The new Intel HD 4000 graphics really allow you to watch video in 1080 without lag.2 SATA 3.0 internal ports2 physical USB 3.0 connectorsand other standards connections that are available in most motherboards. (See link)[...]Note: If you are a simple Youtube, iTunes, Blu-ray user, small game player(Minecraft), or anything that really won't push this to the limit then this is all you need. A discrete graphics card is essentially unnecessary.Only little annoying setting that you may have to tweak is an On/Off Setting that basically provides power to your USB connections even after the computer has 'shut down'. So if you have a portable external hard drive, then it will still be spinning.Over all its a solid product and their website promises a durable motherboard that will allow you to have your computer running 24/7.Works insanely great with Windows 8.

Simply a perfect motherboard from ASROCKI plugged in everything to the motherboard and it works perfectly! The reason I like this board so much is that its very cost effective. I paid only $69.99 for the board while other people are currently paying upwards of $150 for other micro-atx boards. in my opinion its foolish to go out and waste money on a board that expensive, especiallyu when you consider the rapid evolution of technology these days. Pay $70 for this awesome ASROCK motherboard and then in 3 years just use the other $80 for a more up to date motherboard. You'll get the best of both worlds. My goal is a 100% SILENT COMPUTER. That means no fans and no humming :)Here is my current setup.Silverstone FT-03 CaseAsrock H77M microa-atx motherboardSamsung 840 series solid state diskKingwin Stryker 500watt FANLESS power supply. 80+ PLATINUM!Silverstone Heligon passive CPU cooler for INTEL G630 @ 2.7GHZNVIDIA 650 GTX with Arctic Accelero Mono Cooler (fan removed)27inch IPS Monitor 2560x1440 + 30inch IPS MonitorAs you can see above, my computer is 100% Quiet and 100% KickAss!

I had purchased this motherboard with the intent of using it to replace my current HTPC. The board is advertised to have a fully functional PCI Express slot. What you do not find in the product description, or the AS Rock documentation, is that this PCI Express slot is only limited to graphics cards. Any other PCI Express card is not supported and even if you try and put such a card in the slot it will show as empty in the UEFI BIOS.At first I thought I had a bad PCI Express card, or slot. After I confirmed the slot and card were working I quickly e-mailed AS Rock technical support where I received the confirmation that graphics cards were only supported. My HTPC build requires a PCI Express TV tuner so this board was a no go and I promptly contacted Amazon who was more than happy to accept the return due to the inaccurate product description.

Great build quality, well made and simple with no frills but still has a little bit of all the latest features (PCI-E 3.0X, USB 3.0, SATA3). Easy to set-up and has been running very stable for several weeks, never had any issues. I also really like that there is no LED on the mobo which gives it a nice clean look with the brown/black finish. There are only 2 RAM slots so that could be a problem if you install a large aftermarket cooler that blocks the RAM slots. The BIOS as many people have already said, is very intuitive and has a lot of great features and makes overclocking very easy. I would rate ASRock boards up there with ASUS and GIGABYTE.I have this board setup with an i3-3220 and its run very cool and quiet. Paired it with an 830 SSD and windows 7 boots in 20 seconds before the microsoft logo can even finish playing. Overall a great board for a simple PC or HTPC.

I got this product and it worked well and had lots of connections for everything I needed. Some of the pins were in strange places but this board was 60 dollars when I got it so that was no big deal. However after about 50 days (conveniently after the 30 day return time) I was getting strange fan speeds and sounds. Then one day I powered off my system and when I went to turn it back on absolutely nothing happened. I thought it was the psu but I replaced that and got the same result. After further inspection I found three burnt capacitors.Overall, good product with what it seems is a fairly common flaw from reading reviews from newegg.

ASRock has actually gained quite a bit of respect in the enthusiast communities, and I can definitely see why. This is the second ASRock board I've used in a build, and it is every bit as good as the last one. It doesn't have any incredible features over any of the other boards out there, etc, but it will get you more features than an equivalently-priced Asus, and I haven't run into any quality or durability issues with them yet.

Installed in a BitFenix Prodigy case. This mobo is fast, fast, fast! Tons of features. I love the XFast USB feature. It speeds up the rate at which you can copy files. XFast LAN works okay. Not super great, but I'm sure it helps some. Plenty of USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports. Even made sure the PCI Express slot was 3.0 revision.Buy this motherboard. I am thrilled with how wonderful it has performed for me.I have owned and used this motherboard for over a month now.

This is a great board which gives you all sorts of great features and tones of power. I just can't believe how fast my boot times are (sub 8 sec) on my Windows 7 64bit Core i3-3225 with 8GB of ram and a SanDisk SSD.One thing to be aware of is that with the ITX size there is no way that ASRock could fit any header labels on the board so read your manual carefully when connecting things like the front panel and USB case ports. Finally, when you install the drivers you will find a LOT of useless utilities and applications so be ware and look for all the check boxes before you end up spending 30min removing Adobe and USB and LAN utilities.

I've used about every H77/Z77 ITX board out there, and quite honestly, I can't figure out why this one is priced higher than the competition (as of this review). The external Wi-Fi antenna may be very functional, but certainly is ghastly ugly. It does use a Realtek Wi-Fi/BT chipset, which isn't as bad as a Broadcom, but isn't as great as an Intel card either. While other boards offer superior video outputs (even dual HDMI), the only grand feature I can find on this board that sets it apart from others, is eSATA. Since USB 3.0 now does 90% of what eSATA delivered... I don't see that as compelling such a hefty premium. In all, I wound up not using this board, and went with the competition.

This motherboard fit the bill and performs as expected. Has plenty of options in the BIOS and is easy to use and navigate.Only knock I can give on it was the fact it did not set the RAM to 1600 by default (set it to 1333 on auto) - but after manually specifying it in the BIOS it worked just fine at 1600.
