This product worked as intended but was a little tricky to install but works is quiet. I would recommend this unit if I was going replace the stock unit in my computer. :)

I purchased the cooling set for about 15 USD. It is a perfect solution for AMD Phenom X2 550. Easy to install, cheap and silent. Fan speed is automatically regulated by PWM.

Giving this a 5/5 to contribute to a great score! This fan is extremely silent and keeps my APU down to the mid 70s Fahrenheit! It doesn't get much better than a fan like this!

I have to say I expected a little more out of this Cooler although it did perform considerable better than the AMD Stock Cooler. My system saw temps improve by 6 to 8c under normal use. Max Load temps were 4 to 6c better than the AMD Stock Cooler. DO NOT USE THIS COOLER TO OVERCLOCK because the temps were near identical to the Stock AMD Cooler when I attempted to overclock by a mere 100ghz.

I bought this to replace a stock fan. The CPU I am cooling is a 45W AMD Sempron with the 2nd core unlocked that is used in a media center. For the price this fan is unbelievable.Granted at idle the CPU is only using about 7W but even under load the Fan on this is silent. On the negative side the top portion of the fan is very flexible and very, very easy to damage.Given the noise level, price, and construction I would buy this again without any second thoughts. It is easily the equal of many heatsync/fan combinations I have spent two or three times as much on.

This is a good CPU cooling fan.Pros: It keeps your CPU at a low enough temperature and is much quieter than the original stock fan. I recommend this to people who like gaming, but don't want to spend a whole lot on a super high quality fan.Cons: If you are overclocking this may not be the fan for you. Also, It is not silent, but it is pretty quiet.Overall, A good buy for its price range, but there are certainly better fans out there...if you want to spend a lot more on them.

Normally don't review but I like this item. Have my CPU overclocked at 3.2GHz and at a standalone temp getting 6-12C MW3 on Ultra settings with fraps recording in the background and multiple internet windows open, 36-40C keeping things real cool and am very satisfied with the product. Wanted to overclock to 3.4GHz but the computer isn't wanting to handle it too well. With this and my new processor though I'm getting great FPS and low temps, as I write this with fraps, temp core, and a few other windows open I'm at 6C.

I have no real means of measuring the loudness of the cooler in any technical terms. I can say though that it is no where near as loud as the one that came with my processor originally. That sounded like a hair drier for reasons beyond my understanding. This solved that problem completely. I have had no stability issues either.

The cooler is cheap and effective. It lowered my cpu temps by about 10 degrees Celsius.The installation is very easy. If you cant install this cpu fan and heatsink you probably shouldn't be working on your own computer. Its as simple as loosening two screws and putting the clips over the retainers. I really don't understand how anyone would break this thing. Great product cheap price. Would totally recommend for a cheap cooling solution.

I'm using this on an AMD A6 3500 Llano APU for my main HTPC. It's literally silent at normal speed -- 12dBa measured at 1 inch.I'm sure this isn't suitable for overclocking, or really anything heavily loaded -- for an AMD Llano HTPC, it's cheap and extremely efective!

This cooler was easy to install and is very quiet. It provides much superior cooling to the OEM heatsink and fan. The only negative is stated in other reviews and that is that the shroud is extremely flimsy. But considering the cost and how it performs it's main job so well, that was not worth taking a star away for. I would buy this again.

Like the title of the review says, this is a quiet fan which also provides decent cooling. The fans are mounted on vibration dampening plastic pins... however be extremely careful with the installation as the fan mounting is not that sturdy. One item came with one of the dampening pins snapped off so I had to send for another one. The second one I got I made the mistake of pressing down on it and accidentally snapping off the plastic fan guards that encircle the fan. It's an OK product that does what it's supposed to put rather cheaply made and easy to damage on installation if you're not careful.Zen-PC

needed simple 4-pin heatsink/fan to replace original one on my broken down hp tower. opened the box and decided this flimsy item wasn't worth the effort. i spent countless hours searching before i settled on a dynatron p985 from newegg. i recommend the latter if you need 4-pin connector and screws rather than tiny plastic pins.

I wish more CPU coolers were designed like this one... Rubber cushions prevent fan vibration completely. Screw-down brackets tighten to perfect tension and hold the unit in place better than AMD's factory latch design. Traditional top-down design is good for cabling.The only thing that could make it better would be some copper in the center, which might bring the temp. down a few degrees.
