I owned an iPhone 4 for more than a year. Prior to getting the phone, I had owned an old standard phone without Internet. When one of my co-workers first showed me the iPhone and what it could do, I could not believe it and I went out and purchased one the next day without even investigating other phones. When I first got it, I loved it. It was amazing, almost like having a computer in your pocket. I was in love with the phone. Then, over time, as I started using the phone more to go to various websites, I realized that many websites that I was going to had blank spots where there were supposed to be pictures, or the sites did not work at all. I just assumed that it was not possible to view these sites on a smart phone. I thought it was a limitation of the technology. Then when some of my students would show me their smart phones, I noticed that they were able to view the same websites that I was not. I wondered why that was, and what was in common between all those phones that could view those websites was that they were not iPhones. I came to realize that Apple does not allow flash player on their iPhones, or their iPads for that matter. This upset me quite a bit. I read Steve Jobs' explanation in a long letter that he posted online. It seems to me that he simply had a fight with Adobe, who makes the flash player, and therefore refuses to allow it on the phones or iPads. He says in the letter that flash player makes the phones crash and so on, but the moral to this story is that I did get an Android phone a couple of weeks ago and I can tell you that the phone has not crashed a single time. It is VERY nice to be able to browse the Internet unhindered and view pretty much whatever site you want to view, without blank pages or blank spots showing up on the page. Consumers should be told prior to purchasing the iPhone that they do not allow flash player and thus you will not be able to see a significant number of sites that you would be able to view on other phones. The Android experience has been much more like a true computer/internet experience. Some other frustrating things about the iPhone are that you cannot open, edit, or create Word files, again because it is an Apple phone and they will not permit you use the Microsoft product. On my Droid phone, I am able to open, create and edit Word and Excel files, then easily send them as attachments to emails. Most other phones also have a MUCH larger screen than the iPhone. The iPhone's screen is so small that it is quite difficult to maneuver around, and trying to type on the incredibly small keyboard is very haphazard and often results in typos. Then to add insult to injury, the auto correct feature on the iPhone is terrible, just awful really. I had many times sent texts out that the auto correct feature changed a word that I had typed correctly, corrected to the wrong word, and made me look stupid. So I would quickly re-type the word and send it again, thinking that I had corrected the mistake, only to find out that it did not correct it at all and it again corrected to the wrong word, again making me look stupid, and I would try again with the same result. No joke, the auto correct feature and the keyboard are SO BAD on the iPhone that this sometimes went on 5 times as I would fight the auto correct feature to get the right word to go out in my text, with 4 idiotic versions going out in a row. We would of course make a joke out of it, but it is just so stupid. It does not have to be like this and the Droid Razr Maxx that I purchased does not have this problem at all. In fact, it has never auto-corrected a word to the wrong word and better yet, it helps you to find the correct word by giving you about 10 options of possibilities that you can click on. This helps you to send out better texts that make you look smart, not stupid. In addition, the Android phone that I have allows you to print out directly from the phone to your printer at home wirelessly, without need to buy one of Apple's printers. Therefore, the problems with the iPhone are as follows, lack of flash player is a huge minus, small screen if a big minus, small on-screen keyboard is a big minus, and the auto correct feature is a joke. Overall, do not do as I did, run out, and buy this phone because of the hype. In my opinion, this phone is nowhere near as good as most of the other phones out there today. Do not just take my word for it, read Consumer Reports, PC World, or CNet's reviews of smart phones and you will see that the iPhone is actually nowhere near the best, in fact, Consumer Reports has MANY phones ranked higher than the iPhone, and they are all Androids. I suspect that all of the positive reviews are from people who have not tried the other phones recently, or who are die-hard Apple fans that would not even consider another phone, even if the iPhone is not in the same league. I have been an iphone user since the first model and am a huge fan. The most useful piece of equipment I've ever owned in terms of everyday usage.I had the iPhone 4 but not the 4s. It is an extremely well made phone and would rate 5 stars except for the fact that the iPhone 5 is dramatically better in every respect but one.The actual phone reception (on ATT anyway) is much better on the 5 - it's LTE in many parts of the country and that's better than ATTs usual crap network.The 5 is significantly thinner and lighter than the 4 (not that the 4 is exactly heavy.) It has a greater storage capacity (64GB) which means you can carry more stuff with you. The screen is slightly larger without making it more difficult to carry - an extra row of applications. A small but not insignificant advantage - especially for web browsing.But what really makes it better is the chip speed and processing power. Browsing on line on the iPhone 4 is slow and frustrating. But on the iPhone 5 it's very quick and responsive - a dramatic improvement that makes the phone and many apps much more useful.The new ear buds are okay but I'm not sure I like them as much as the old ones. So sometimes I use the old ones.The new cable is much smaller and more convenient except that I have all the old ones (one is included). Oh well, the price of improvement (they needed to change the connector to make it really thin.)The one knock against it is that the headphone jack is on the bottom instead of the top. I hate that even though I've kind of gotten used to it at this point. I think that was a mistake.So net net - this is is actually a great phone and you can get it for almost nothing. But if you've got the $199 (or $127 at Wal-Mart) for the iPhone 5, I'd spring for it. Given how much you'll use it, it will cost you about a 25? a day for the best.The only problem is that Amazon as of this writing seems not to be selling it.

I loved my iPhone 3, so when it was time to upgrade I went with the 4G figuring it would be an improvement over the 3 and I've been sadly disappointed. After a year of use, the lock button on top of the phone does not work anymore and since it's out of warranty, I'd have to spend $150 for a refurb phone as Apple will not fix this well known and documented problem. Go to the Apple forums and you will find 25+ pages of people complaining about this poor quality control and Apple's insistence in not fixing it or recalling the phone. So now I'm forced to lock the phone using the software lock which is a great annoyance having the floating button all over this small screen, which always gets in the way more than it should. Add to that, big slowdowns on this phone and it's not even half full and that is after closing all the apps and making sure they are ended, then rebooting and cleaning the phone off. Very displeased with the quality of this phone and Apple's insistence on ignoring it and not fixing it, their attitude of expecting a pay customer to just accept substandard performance from a $400+ phone is as unacceptable as then expecting us to be foolish enough to buy the next iteration of it. The iPhone will go the way of the rest of the Apple products, innovative but then surpassed by companies who are not run like a despot runs a country. The Droid phones will be to Apple what Microsoft was to the Mac. They're going to continue to lose customers with shoddy products, QC and practices.

I was interested in purchasing this phone for our daughter for Christmas. I always read reviews detailing user's experiences with products because I like first hand feedback on the pros and cons of expensive items I may be purchasing.Unfortunately this particular phone, sold by this particular company has nearly ALL product reviews that talk about the seller. Isn't there a place to leave a rating for the seller too? Am I missing something? It asks [specifically - FIRST QUESTION] How do you rate this ITEM? and you are able to give the ITEM a star rating. Where is the word "seller" in that question?I can certainly find several other places where I can find a product review on this item, but for everyone leaving 1 and 2 stars because you are displeased with the seller you are doing the iPhone a disservice because it is an awfully nice phone and imo deserves not to be confused with this particular seller's shoddy service.I promise I am not being snarky - I have been shopping at Amazon a long time, especially at Christmas and but for the first time the reviews were confusing. I actually began to think they had done away with seller ratings and everyone was free to gripe in the product review section.

Let's be honest. I grew tired of people griping about me not having an iPhone as I pulled my Droid Razr out of my pocket, so when contract renewal time came, I decided to purchase the iPhone 4. I'd been a Droid fan for about two years. No complaints. But I wanted to find out what all the iHype was about for myself.Over 4 months later, I could conclude that the iPhone is simply "okay". It's not a terrible deal, but it's not as great as everyone makes it out to be. There is a laundry list of things I dislike about the phone in comparison to the few things I do appreciate. Here's the breakdown of my personal dislikes:- Barely Customizable: Unless the phone is "jailbroken", the only thing you could really customize is the wallpaper. SMS texts will remain green and iMessages blue, whether you like it or not. I'm a woman, and I appreciate the ability to tweak little aspects of a phone to my desire. The iPhone fails to deliver in this category.- Lack of Apps: Android's "Google Play" has an app for nearly everything, whereas the iPhone does not. Plain and simple.- Lack of Blinking Notification Light: When the small light on my Droid phones flashed green or blue, I knew I had a missed notification without having to "wake up" the phone to find out.- Design: It's a bit heavy and it's mostly glass.There are a ton more dislikes, however, I'd be sitting here all night if I were to list them all. In my opinion, I'd go with an Android operated phone.

Got what I thought was a great deal on a iphone from the warehouse deals, turns out this was a bad desesion on my part. its true if it seems to good to be true it usually is. the pakaging was great the phone seemed in good condition all looked ok. used a H20 sim card which is under ATT and the iphone is for ATT and I . keep getting no service so I called H20 C.C. center and they ask me for the IEMI number. ok did that, recycle the phone update the software and still no service so called H20 back several times to see if its on there end they stated that all looks good on there end, put the sim card back in the old phone and it work fine. I feel the amazom knew that thiis was no good and still tried to sell this particular product. really not happy with the time wasted on this. I am sending this back for a refund. by the way this is an Iphone 3gs. seened all reviews and gimics on how to make the phone work. just not a good working Phone.

To began, I do have to say I am happy with the product. Not that I wouldn't be happy with a different brand phone, but this is what I sent to apple after a few calls with no success.I purchased 4 iPhone 4s's and apple care for each.1 was lost/stolen in the first 4 days of getting it.I called apple care on aug 7 to see if I could cancel on that phone. I had planned on purchasing another 4s and wanted to get apple care for that one. I was told that since I purchased the first one on July 3rd, I was beyond the 30 days and there was no refund.I even asked about a prorated refund (only going over the 30 days by a week) and was told that that's not apples policy. I can understand that to a point, however, as someone who has worked in customer service for over 20yrs. I thought that $100.00 to keep a loyal and long time customer happy would be the right thing to do.I guess I was wrong!?!I will however go to every web site I can find and tell my story in every place on every review for every apple product that is sold!!!I have purchased 7 iPhones, 5 itouches and 19 iPods over the last two years.That has ended!Thank you for reading this (if anyone really does) first,It will be repeated at least 200 times before I get tired or bored, probably many more.Besides, I have WAY more time than money.Unhappy customer,Gary Gray

I buy repair and sell iPhones, I also buy the unlock for my customers and make sure their iPhone is factory unlocked, sometimes I see an already unlocked iPhones coming to me for unlock due to lack of knowledge of bypassing the iTune activation window after the phone was restored, If your iPhone is Unlocked please don't hesitate to setup iTune/apple store account, sometimes it's life sever, although there are some other way to go around activation, the easiest way is to connect your iPhone to iTune and activate it after restoring it to factory setting.If you couldn't pass activation window it doesn't mean your iPhone is NOT Unlocked, the only way you will know wheather or not is is unlocked is if you will manage to pass that screen and try to use a none AT&T in US Case SIM and it gives you "SIM Card Failure" I just had an iPhone on my desk last night from one of my customers who couldn't pass activation window so he had to pay $20+ to unlock it. Let us be open to the challanges technology brings to us before blaming some sellers.

We ordered the iphone 4 for my daughter for Christmas and were very pleased with the phone. The only problem we had was with the charger which seemed to work off and on. My daughter emailed amazon about the issue with the charger and they gave us 2 options. One...to return the phone completely for a full refund. Or two... to keep the phone and they would refund us 10% of our purchase price (about 41.00) for the cost of the charger. My daughter did not want to give up the phone so she chose the refund which was processed in just a few days! Wow! What great service! She plans to take the refund and buy a new charger. We have been very impressed with the service and products received from amazon. I am a fan and will shop with them again!

I bought an iPhone 4 labeled new from Amazon, when I received it, it looked new to me, and I used it for 5 month without any problem. Then it stated to crush very often, the battery indicator acting funny, and the battery was swollen, pushing the back cover. I went to local Apple store, found out the serial number was not found inside where it suppose to be, the serial number printed on the packaging box did not have enough digits, After we enter the real serial number to Apple's database, we found out that the purchased date for this phone is way earlier than my purchase date, and it is out of warranty. Not only that, because this phone was modified before, Apple will not service me even I want to pay them to change the battery. Anyway, it is not a good idea to buy an iPhone from the internet, unless it is an authorized site. The seller on my invoice is wecellstuff.

I bought this for my mom in China. When I received this, I already realized the home bottom doesn't respond correctly. However, I was in a rush shipping this internationally along with something else! So I didn't have time to return or exchange this! I sent an email to this seller and asked about the phone's condition, especially the home key. He said it was all tested by professionals and all fine! But my mom keeps complaining about the home key and this phone keeps locking up on her! Do not buy from this seller! Not kidding!

I love the iPhone 4. It is a great phone.However, my previous iPhone 4 had a hardware issue. It would not ring or output any sound, and the volume buttons on the side wouldn't work. So, I sent it back to Apple on warranty for a replacement. I just got my brand new replacement today, just to find out THIS one also has a problem! Now nobody can hear me when I call, unless I put them on speaker phone...Second iPhone 4 in a row that has a problem? Wow. I am not impressed at all. Apple has been very helpful and kind to help me with all of this, I am more than likely going to send this one back for ANOTHER replacement. Hopefully the next one is the charm and has no problems!!!---Also, one thing I really truly hate about the iPhone 4, is the SIM slot. OH MY GOD. Who the hell designed that? It is beyond difficult to get it out to put your SIM card in. It has an itty bitty tiny hole you're supposed to stick something very small and strong in in order to pull it out. You'll be at it for hours trying to get it open --- even with the little tool Apple specifically designed to open that thing BROKE after I tried using it to open it! After stabbing myself many times with the tool and some tweezers I was using, I finally got it open!!!Overall, I love the iPhone 4. Except for the sim slot. AND I would have given it more stars if I didn't get a phone with a problem twice in a row....

The iPhone that I purchased was allegedly a refurbished phone vs a "New" phone. I was purchasing a "New" phone. I was so embarrrased when the person I bought the phone for called and the phone was already in service and assigned to another customer. The phone was working and you could make calls. The Verizon technician tried to initialize the phone and it failed. He also determined the phone was refurnished and it was never cleared from the original customer. My experience was very disappointing. I will be very hesitant to purchase any electronics from this site:(
